"Sorry you guys," grumbled Gaara, and the words felt like they had clawed out of his throat without his express permission; Kagome truly was ruining him.
Gaara spent only a moment's glance at the black haired boy. He had hit Kankuro with a rock, but Kagome could probably have done the same before her Shuriken training. In a cloud of swirling sand he returned to his Sibling's side.
Gaara glared at his siblings, they were making this Mission harder than it had to be, "Let's go."
Temari and Kankuro both perked up, perhaps the new Gaara was in there somewhere.
