Kagome nervously looked around the small kitchen. The sundried walls were completely void of any decoration unlike the walls of her kitchen at home, but the Spartan rooms were not inhospitable, if anything it reminded her of the many sparse huts of the feudal era she had visited.
Kagome glanced at the man as he went about preparing the tea and Kagome's eyes caught on the one decoration of the room, a blockish clock that ticked loudly, as if not to be ignored.
Kagome let her mind wander, to the team far from home. The Chuunin exam should have started.
