Kagome bit her lip as she glanced behind her in the general vicinity of Ebizō's house. He had claimed to be tired, and while Kagome did not doubt him… she wasn't entirely sure he was being hundred percent honest.
"Higurashi," a bleak voice bleated. Kagome jumped in her skin before she whipped around, ebony tresses tossed through the air, before her eyes landed on a white masked figure.
"Yes?" Kagome said, managing to keep her tone calm, even as her heart leapt through her ribcage.
"Your presence is required," returned the masked man monotonously.
Kagome did not like his tone.
