Kagome's eyes narrowed as she looked at the Kage before her. There was something off about him. His aura was still a dank blotch of his soul, but it seemed almost translucent, as though the man before her was an extension of some greater evil. His threat was still hanging in the air and Kagome needed to calm her racing heart so that he wouldn't be able to cow her into agreeing to something sinister.
"Silence, I didn't think you were capable," mocked the Kage, waiting for Kagome's answer.
"I would, like to see my friends again," she relinquished, "alive."
