Kagome frowned as she watched the Leaf nin leave her on the outskirts of the training ground. She could feel the winds picking up and so she knew that Temari wasn't too far away. But the man had grown quiet and contemplative the closer they got to the grounds and Kagome hoped that she hadn't said anything to offend him. He had been rather nice, telling her about his hometown with an enthusiasm that Kagome had missed from her Feudal and modern friends.
Shaking her head, Kagome crested the hilltop cautiously. Her miko powers roiling just under her skin in case she caught Temari by surprise and would need to defend herself. It wouldn't be the first time she had snuck up on the Sand Siblings, apparently Kagome didn't give off an aura that the siblings could sense coming. Gaara had been the only one of his siblings to have gained something of a sixth sense for when Kagome was around, and that was after knowing Kagome for a few months.
"Temari!" Kagome yelled over the winds when she spotted her friend. Kagome smiled at the way her friend seemed to freeze, and turn slowly towards Kagome on the hilltop.
