Temari and Kagome walked side by side through the crowded streets of Konoha. It appeared that the closer the Final Exam got the more and more people arrived in Konoha. The air around the market was exactly like that of an impromptu festival. Kagome was laughing and telling Temari how she had been coerced by the Kage to be his assistant, and even though Temari knew that Kagome was keeping her tone light and friendly, her friend was completely royally pissed off by their honorable Father's underhanded tactics. Temari was just as angry, if she was honest, she had wanted Kagome safe in Suna but now, their Father had drug his newest toy with him into danger, it was unfortunate that his newest toy happened to be one of her best friends.
"Kagome you must be boiling alive in those robes!" joked Temari as she stopped in front of one of the stands showcasing various animal masks. Kagome was fingering a white dog mask reverently.
"It's alright, Konoha is definitely more humid than Suna, but I can handle it," shrugged off Kagome as she reluctantly returned the mask to the pile, "besides I've got my sundresses back at the hotel."
