adj. of or belonging to the time before the biblical Flood.

Disclaimer: I do not own that which belongs to another.

"I cannot believe you actually bought that thing," sighed Temari as she led the way towards her and her siblings' hotel room. They had given up their search for Kankuro around the time that Kagome had exited that weapon's shop with a weapon as useless as a bow and a quiver of arrows.

"I can't believe that I found a short bow!" corrected Kagome as she absently readjusted the bow strung across her shoulders for the tenth time in as many minutes.

"What're you supposed to do when you run out of arrows! String some shuriken and kunai on it and let it fly?" groused Temari unpleasantly. An armed Kagome went directly against Temari's image of the peaceful and kind girl.

"I doubt that I'll run out of arrows, since I'm surrounded by ninjas that keep me safe," placated Kagome before a wishful smile tugged at her pink lips, "I had a bow before, you know."

"When?" questioned Temari truly confused, Kagome seemed to have always been a part of their lives.

"Before I got lost in the Desert," answered Kagome as though what she said hadn't entirely altered Temari's world. Kagome had a past... that Temari hadn't thought about.
