Kagome stumbled through the crowd. Her shoes' backs were pressed in in her hurry to leave the room, her hands fisted into the material of her dress, as her eyes wildly roamed the skyline as the bolt of yellow-turquoise energy wavered in the air.
It was starting to fade, but there was still an ominous feeling in the air that had finally prompted Kagome from the hotel room and into action. Her bow was slung over one shoulder and her quiver of arrows over the other. She already knew that she wouldn't use them, but it gave her strength to know that she had them.
Kagome pushed through a thick cluster of lingering pedestrians in her way, envious of the way that they could float about so easily without any thought to the danger that was potentially hanging over them.
Kagome's eyes widened in a panic as she saw where the energy was originating from, her quick walk turning into a full out run as she rushed towards the hospital.
"Oh Gaara!" Kagome whispered under her breath, fear and panic strangling her before she choked out just as quietly, "hold on, please, don't do anything you'll only regret later, please!"
