Kagome ignored Gai as he stepped in front of her, trying to prevent her from getting any closer to Gaara. She side stepped him while unconsciously tugging her bow and arrows from her shoulder and slipping them onto the floor, she already knew weapons would make this situation worse.

"Gaara," Kagome said, this time strong and sure. Gaara stood still, frozen in place, his eyes trailing dust motes in the air.

"Kagome," he finally whispered, and Kagome winced at the effort that it took the boy to finally look up at her.

"Gaara, I think somethings wrong," Kagome said as she stopped in front of him, leaving enough space between them so Gaara wouldn't feel trapped. Gaara's only response was to growl at her, his teeth bared as a threat.

Kagome took a deep breath, she knew how to handle this situation, she just didn't like that it had come to it.

Kagome fisted her hands and placed them on her hips, a stern glare set her blue eyes on fire.

"Gaara! Stop!" ordered Kagome, her tone commanding and brooking no complaint, she was to be obeyed. "Put your sand back in that gourd, and apologize to these nice Ninjas."
