Jiraiya looked over the seal that Kakashi had delivered to him. It was a curious work, and it looked to be done with painstaking care. The ink was of a poor quality drawn with a traditional horse haired paintbrush. Jiraiya ran a finger over the ink, lightly tracing the seal's pattern. The medium was thin rice paper, but the texture of the ink suggested that there had been dust or some other particles present in the room when the ink had dried, getting trapped in the ink to create the rough texture.
While Jiraiya could safely assume where the seal had been created, the wealth of the designer, and likely profession of the creator, Jiraiya did not know what the seal meant.
The fact it was from Suna could tell a number of stories. The fact that it wasn't chakra that powered the seal told another.
"I've never seen a seal like this before," finally acquiesced Jiraiya. Kakashi nodded, because he had probably come to the same conclusion on his own, "or rather, I haven't seen a seal like this that was charged."
"What?" asked Kakashi. Jiraiya smirked, he loved when he got to see the brat's nonchalant façade crack.
