After Tara put the boys into bed and after she cleaned up the kitchen, and once she placed Jax's dinner plate in the oven so it will stay warm. Tara poured herself a glass of red wine and headed out into the living room. She was just about take a seat on the couch when she heard the front door opening. Tara sighs in relief as she saw Jax walking in.

" Where have you been?" Tara asked as set her glass down on the coffee table and walked over to him as she threw her arms around his neck." You've been gone for hours, I thought something had happened to you." She muffles against his chest.

" I am sorry babe, I was riding around and I had to clear my head. I didn't mean to worry you." Jax says softly as he kisses the top of her head and wrapped his arms around her holding her closer to him. After the visit with Gemma, Jax spent hours riding around, he just didn't realize it was so late when he got home. He sent Opie home hours ago.

Tara slowly looked up as she gently placed his fingertips against his chin." How did it go with Gemma?" Tara asked.

Jax sighs deeply as he raised her hand up and pressed his lips against the palm of her hand." we should sit down." Jax says softly as he pulls her over to the couch. Once they were both seated, Jax took another deep breath." Gemma's dying."

Tara looks at Jax as she was little shocked but also confused. She always knew Gemma was manipulative and will do anything to get her family back, and she was so desperate to do it too." Are- are you sure? I mean this is Gemma we are talking about here Jax, she would do anything to get to those boys.

Jax nods his head." I know, but when I was with her. She didn't look the same Tara, she looked fragile and very weak. I don't think she would lie about something like this." Jax has known Gemma all his life and he has never seen her like that. That woman he was talking to earlier wasn't his mom, it's Gemma but not the Gemma he recognized.

Tara could see the pain and hurt in his eyes. It was the same exact hurt and pain he had when he lost his little brother, and again when his father died. As much as Tara doesn't like Gemma right now because of everything she did to come between her and Jax. She was still Jax's mom and Tara knows what it's like to lose a parent especially a mom.

" What did she say she had?" Tara asked softly.

" Both Nero and Gemma says it's four stage lung cancer." Jax answers with a sigh.

" How long, did she say, she had left?"

" She said at least a week, maybe a month if she's lucky." Jax sighs deeply as he ran his hands down his face." She wants to see the boys one last time, and I don't know babe, maybe we should seriously consider it."

Tara closed her eyes for a moment as she takes a deep breath. Running her hands and fingers through her hair, she looks up at the ceiling as she deeply sighs." Give me a few days to think about it."

Jax nods his head." Yeah, okay. Is there any dinner left?"

" Yeah it's in the oven." Tara says as she gave him a small kiss." I am gonna take a quick shower and I will meet you in the bedroom." Tara says as she stood up and picked up her glass of wine, taking it with her.

Walking into the kitchen and towards the refrigerator, Jax grabs a cold beer once he got the refrigerator door open. Setting the open beer down on the kitchen table after he took a long drink from it. He walks towards the oven. When he pulls out his dinner out, his burner started to go off." Damn it." He sighs as he sets his plate down looking down at the number he rolls his eyes for a moment before answering.

" Yeah?" Jax asked in irritation.

" Oh my God, Jax. One of my girls just got attacked tonight." Collette answered freaking out.

" Why aren't you calling Tig to handle it?" The main reason why Jax made Tig Collette's partner so he can handle situations like this. So her calling him makes no sense and very disrespectful as well.

" I tried, but he's not picking up. Nobody is. So you were my only Option." Collette explained. " Can you come over? Please Jax, I really need your help with this."

" Where are you?" Jax asked.

" We just got home."

Jax sighs as he pinches the bridge of his nose and nods his head." Yeah, I will be there." Jax says as he quickly hangs up before Collette could say something else. He then calls Tig.

" Yeah?" Tig asked once he answered.

" Collette just called me, saying she's been trying to get a hold of you." Jax says in a hard voice.

" What?" Tig asked as he shook his head." I never got a call from Collette. Why the hell would she be calling you?"

" I don't know, but one of her girls got attacked tonight. They are at home right now, I need you to go and check it out. Give me a call and let me know what's up." Jax says as he quickly hangs up ending the call. Setting his burner on the table, Jax took another drink of his beer and started to eat his dinner.

After Tara changed into a tank top and shorts. She climbs into bed and leans back against the headboard. Grabbing the remote and her glass of wine. Tara took a sip of her wine as she started to do some channel surfing as she waits for Jax to come join her in bed. While she was trying to find something to watch, Tara started to think about Gemma's situation and she can't help but wonder if this is one of Gemma's schemes. She also thinks she should call Nero to ask questions.

After giving up. Tara shut the tv off as she noticed Jax walking into the room." Hey, I was just about to come look for you." Tara says softly as she set the remote down on her nightstand by her wine glass.

" I just needed to be alone for a little bit longer." Jax says as he set his rings on the top of the dresser. After he stripped down to his boxers. He climbed into bed getting under the covers. He reaches over and pulls Tara closer to him once she turned her lamp off and settled into bed more.

Tara rest her head against his shoulder as she draped her arm over his torso." Whatever happens, we will get through this together." Tara says as she reaches up and placed her index finger against his chin." I am here Jackson, I am right here."

Jax lifts her hand up and pressed his lips deeply against the back of her hand as he nods his head." I know babe, I appreciate it. I love you so much." He says softly as he held her hand against his chest, holding her closer to him.

" I love you too Jax." Tara says softly. Once they were both in content, They both fell asleep wrapped in each other arms. Tomorrow morning Tara is planning on calling Nero and probably Gemma's doctor once she gets the number from Nero.
