Pulling into Nero's farm, Jax sighs deeply as he killed the engine on his Dyna and brought his kickstand down. The last time Jax was here, he learned that his mother was dying from lung cancer, and now he's back because he needs some answers. He needs to know if Gemma knows that Wendy is suing Tara for custody of his son and if she's behind it. Jax knows all the shit that happened between Gemma and Tara has been going on for about two and half years already, and there's a lot of history between them. He can't deny that. He just doesn't understand why Gemma would go this far. She may be dying but that doesn't mean she can hurt his family like this.

Climbing off of his Dyna and tossing the butt of his cigarette. across the yard, Jax placed his helmet on his handlebar and headed towards the front door. As he got closer, he noticed Chucky sitting outside. The last thing Jax heard, Chucky decided to quit his job at TM and move up to Norco with Gemma. At first, Jax couldn't understand why Chucky would even move to Norco unless Gemma talked him into going with her. But he also realized that Chucky was just being a good friend to Gemma and Jax accepted that. Tara was actually more pissed off because she felt she was losing an employee. Tara has Claire and Claire is doing an amazing job at the office, but Tara wasn't ready to lose Chucky. But after a while, she got over it.

" How is she doing?" Jax asked he took his shades off and hook them onto the collar of his shirt.

" She's very weak, it could be any day now Jax."

Jax nods his head." I just need to talk to her, and then I am gone."

Chucky knew better to ask questions, so he just nodded his head and got from the chair he was sitting in and let Jax into the front door." Nero took Lucian to the park, so he will be gone for at least an hour or two." Chucky said as he leads Jax towards Gemma's room. Chucky opened the door and stuck his head in.

" Hey Gem, Jax is here to see you."

Gemma looked up from the book she was reading and nods her head, letting Chucky know Jax could come in. Chucky moved to the side and open the door further and let Jax walk into the room.

" I will leave you two alone," Chucky said with a nod as he left the room and closed the door behind them.

" How are you doing, son? It's so good to see you again Jackson." Gemma said weakling as she closed the book she was reading and sat up more." How's my grandbabies doing?"

" They're fine. What did you tell Wendy?" Jax asked as he stood by the foot of Gemma's bed. Jax didn't come for a visit. He came for answers and one way or the other, Gemma was going to give it to him.

" Why, would I be talking to that junkie whore?" Gemma asked shaking her head.

" Cut the bullshit, alright? I know Wendy reached out to you. So let's stop pretending we don't know what's going on here. I know you talked to Wendy, and I need to know what you told her?"

Gemma sighs as she rolled her eyes." Fine, about a week after Tara came with the boys. Wendy suddenly showed up and mention she still wants to get to know her son, so I told her that it was up to you and Tara and that I was done with this whole situation. Jax, what's going on?"

" Wendy is suing Tara for custody of Abel, Tara has court in a week or two."

" Jesus Christ, are you serious?" Gemma asked as she brought her brows together.

" Yeah, and now just two days ago a social worker from the Child Protection services, showed up at our front door with two Lodi officers, wanting to come in and talk with Abel."

" Shit, Jax I am-"

" Are you behind this?" Jax asked in a hard tone cutting Gemma off.

" What? Of course, not. Jax you know I will never put you guys through that, no matter how much I despise Tara. I will never talk or give Wendy permission to take your son from you like that." Gemma may lie and manipulate to get her way. But when it comes to her grandbabies, she would never lie about this.

Jax just nods his head." Yeah, I know. I gotta go." Jax said as he turned around and quickly walked out of the room and closed the door. He then walked out of the front door and nods his head towards Chucky.

" I am glad she has you, especially now."

" She's my best friend Jax," Chucky said with a small smile.

" See you around Chucky," Jax said as he put his shades back on and headed back towards his Dyna. Once he sat down and started up the engine, he strapped on his helmet and brought his kickstand up. He then rode out and heading back to the clubhouse.

Both Claire and Tara were both working in the office. Tara normally don't work in the office when Claire is around, but today Tara needed to get her mind off of few things and keep herself busy. She thought about working at the store, but she wanted to catch up on some work here.

" Hey, Tara can I ask you something?" Claire asked.

Tara looked up from her desk." Sure, what's up?"

Before Claire could ask the question, she got up from the couch and walked over to the office door and closed it behind her. She then walked towards the door connected to the garage and closed it as well." How do you know if you're pregnant or not?"

" Are you saying your pregnant?" Tara asked as she raised her brow for a moment.

" I don't know, that's why I'm asking here."

" Okay, just calm down. How late are you?"

Claire just shrugged her shoulders." I don't know, a week late. I mean I have been working so much and with Happy doing all these runs with the club, I have kinda been under a lot of stress or at least that's what I thought it was. But it's been over a week now and I am not really sure what's going on."

Tara nods her head as she found a piece of paper and wrote her office number and the time." Why don't you come by my office, tomorrow morning around ten am and I will get you blood tested for pregnancy." Tara said as she handed the piece of paper to Claire.

" Thanks, I really do appreciate it." Claire said as she stuff the paper into her back pocket.

" It's no problem, does Happy know?"

Claire shook her head." I don't wanna tell him, not until I know there's something to tell. So, can we keep this between us?"

" Yeah, as a doctor I can promise to keep your secret. It's part of the whole Doctor and patient conformation. But as an old lady, I will keep your secret for now.. But if you are pregnant, you gotta tell him, because believe me this is something you don't want to keep from him."

" How did you tell Jax?"

" Well, I didn't actually. His mother was the one who told him that I was pregnant."

" What do you mean?"

Tara shook her head as she didn't want to go into details." That's a long story, which I might share with you some day." Tara said as she heard a Jax's Dyna pulling into the lot. She got up from her desk chair and walked over to Claire." Everything will be fine." She said as she gave Claire's arm a gentle squeeze as she walked out of the office.

" Hey, where were you? Bobby said you had to go talk to someone." Tara said as she walked up to Jax as soon as he placed his helmet on his handlebar.

" Yeah, I went to talk to Gemma." Jax answered as he leans down and kisses her quickly.

Tara raised her brows for a moment." You talked to Gemma? Why?"

" Because I needed to know if she's behind this whole thing. I needed to know if she's the reason why Wendy is suing you all of sudden."

" And, is she?" Tara asked as she crossed her arms over her chest.

" She said she's not, she said that she talked to Wendy, but she never told Wendy to sue you for custody of Abel. according to her, this was the first she heard about it."

" Are you saying you actually believe her?"

" Babe, I honestly don't think Gemma would lie about this. She knows how much Abel is important to us, and she knows the lengths we will go through, to keep our son safe." Jax said as he leans down and kisses her once more.

Tara sighs softly against his lips as she dropped her arms down to her side and pulls away from him." I still think I should talk to Lowen and see if we can do this outside of court." Tara would rather do this without going to court. Hopefully Lowen has a solution.

Jax nods his head as he drapes his arm over Tara's shoulder." Sounds good to me." He said as he looks down at her and smirks slightly as they both headed towards the clubhouse together.
