Author's note.

This chapter will start the arc what is know as 'Adrian's Life'. Originally it was only going to consist of 9 parts, but since this arc takes place over more than a month, I might add more to it. So, leave a review, sir back, relax and enjoy the show.

Chapter 30

Custody

William was leaving school when he saw Adrian being picked up by his bodyguard. To his surprise, Lila was with him. William squinted his eyes and saw just how tight Lila was holding his arm. Not to mention that Adrian was hiding the fact that he looked VERY uncomfortable. He just walked away. As he walked, he looked at his phone. There was an article about Andrea Bougioes trying to get people on his side, and failing miserably at it.

"Hm, wonder when the witch hunt starts?" Wondered William.

When he got home, he threw his bag down and went on his phone. Scul then came out of his pocket.

"Are you planning on letting me eat that Lila bitch yet?" Asked Scul.

"No, Scul", said William. "She's got to many people loving her. She dies, we're basically wanted criminals". William was looking up Lila on his phone, needless to say, he was not impressed by her.

"Then what's your plan?" Asked Scul.

"We're gonna teach Ladybug that sometimes, you need to be cruel to be kind", answered William. "You and I both know she's way too forgiving and way too nice".

"Don't you mean MARINETTE is way too forgiving and way too nice?" Asked Scul.

"Yeah, she is", answered William. "Can't believe no else figure out that they're the same person".

"What's our next step?" Asked Scul.

"Next stop is to get Adrian a pair of balls" answered William.

"With that asshole for a father", said Scul. "I doubt you'd get anywhere near him, especially since that Lila bitch is her 'muse' or some shit".

"Then why don't we ask the source?" Asked William.

The next day, Adrian was heading to lunch when something pulled him aside. He looked and saw William.

"What was that for?" Adrian asked.

"I wanna know what's going on" answered William.

"Huh?" Asked Adrian.

"Between you, Lila and Marinette", answered William. "What the fuck is going on?".

"Nothing is going on" answered Adrian.

"That's bullshit" said William.

"Look, I gotta go" said Adrian trying to leave.

"Hold it", said William putting his hand on Adrian's chest. "You ar-". He stopped himself when he got a good feel.

"Wait, are, are those your ribs I'm feeling?" Asked William, sounding genuinely concerned.

"Please", said Adrian. "Just let me-".

"And those cuts on your arms", said William, pulling up one of Adrian's sleeves. "Where the hell did you-".

"William", Adrian said. "There's nothing you can do". He then walked away.

"We'll see about that" William said to himself. He walked out of the school and took out his phone. He then dialled a number and put it to his ear.

'Hello'.

"Hi there, Venessa" said William.

'Oh William, how's my favourite nephew?'.

"I would like to say this was just a friendly call to my aunt", said William. "But it's not".

'What seems to be the matter?'.

William sighed.

"I think one of my classmates might be suffering from extreme negligence" he answered.

After school, William headed to the Agreste Manor.

"You ready for this?" Asked William.

"And able" answered Scul.

"Okay then", said William. "Shadow walk". William's body then turned completely black. He pressed up against the wall and started to walk along it. He slid through the gates and then under the door.

"Now", William said to himself. "Where would Mr. Agreste's office be?". He looked in each room, until…

"Bingo" he said. He had found it. William returned to normal and walked over to Gabriel's computer. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out the Ghost Coder.

"Time to put Max's work to good use" said William. He plugged it into the hard drive and the computer turned on.

"Now then", said William. "Let's see what we can-". He stopped. His eyes widened and mouth dropped.

"Oh, oh my", said William. "Is this even legal? And for Adrian's age? Hmmmm, now I've got all the bullets I need. All I need to do now, is fire the gun".

The next day, Class continued as normal. Then, the speakers turned on.

'Adrian Agreste, William Bones, someone would like to discuss something with you'. William smirked, but Adrian was confused. They walked into an empty classroom where a woman with long, blonde hair wearing glasses and a business suit was waiting for them.

"Hello", the woman said. "Have a seat you two". Adrian sat across from the woman and William sat between them.

"Is there something I can help you with?" Asked Adrian nervously.

"My name, is Venessa Tanse", said the woman. "I'm with child protective services". That last line made Adrian do a double take.

"What?", he asked. "Why are-".

"My nephew called me and sent over some info about your home life" answered Venessa. Adrian just looked at William, who gave a quick smirk.

"Now", said Venessa, in a gentle approach voice. "I'm gonna ask you a few questions, and I want you to be honest with me". Adrian only looked at the desk, with a nervous look on his face.

"Adrian", said Venessa, catching Adrian's attention. "No one in this is gone judge you. You're safe here".

That afternoon.

There was a knock at the Agreste manor door. Nathalie then opened it.

"How may I-". She stopped when she saw who was there.

Gabriel was in his office working on his computer. He heard the sound of heels clicking and the door barged open, revealing a tired and shocked Nathalie.

"Sir", said Nathalie. "There's some-".

"I'm working here" said Gabriel.

"But-".

"Whatever it is, it can wait".

"Sir, there-".

"Nathalie, I'm sure yo-".

"It's Child Protective Services".

THAT got his attention, for the first time in a while, he was scared.

Gabriel walked to the entrance and saw Venessa standing there with papers in her hand. Behind her, were two men leading Adrian out of the house, he was carrying a suitcase.

"I'd say it's a honour to meet you", said Venessa. "But after what I just found out, it's more of a displeasure".

"What are you doing in my house?", demanded Gabriel. "And where is my son going?".

"He's your son?", asked Venessa mockingly. "From what I heard, you treat him more like a doll". Nathalie had to be impressed, this woman was staring down THE Gabriel Agreste; one of the most intimidating people you could meet.

"What did you say?" Demanded Gabriel.

"You heard me", said Venessa. "Your son is being put under WAY too much pressure for someone his age. And with how many hours you make him work; it's practically child labour. Not to mention he's malnourished".

"He's my son", said Gabriel. "I decide-".

"Not anymore", said Venessa shoving papers into Gabriel's chest. "As of this moment, you no longer have custody of Adrian. Good day!". Venessa then stormed out. Gabriel ran after them, only to see their car drive away, with Adrian in the back.

In the car.

"So, where to now?" Asked Adrian.

"That's the interesting part", said Venessa. "Someone offered to be your guardian". Adrian looked confused, until he saw where they were driving to; Palacio de Oro.

When they arrived, Ronald, Valerie and William were waiting for them. Valerie opened the car door and Adrian walked out.

"How are you feeling, Adrian?" Asked Ronald.

"I, honestly don't know how to feel" answered Adrian. Ronald placed his hand on Adrian's shoulder.

"I know that, this a lot to take in", said Ronald. "But, we can help you get through it. Valerie, can you and William show Adrian to one of the guest rooms?".

"Certainly" said Valerie.

"Of course, dad" agreed William. Valerie grabbed the suitcase and she and William guided him into the resort. Eventually, they arrived in front of one of guest rooms. Valerie then opened the door.

"This will be your room", said Valerie. "If you need anything, just ask".

"Thank you, Valerie" said Adrian. Valerie smiled.

"I'll leave you two alone" said Valerie before she left.

"Why'd you do it?" Asked Adrian. This caught William's attention.

"Why'd I do what?" Asked William.

"Why'd you call CPS on my dad?" Asked Adrian.

"I've seen enough people come and go to notice that someone has an unhappy home life" answered William.

"I, uh. I have no idea what to do" said Adrian.

"I'll leave you to collect yourself", said Adrian. "You can call the maid for room service if you want". William then left. When the coast was clear, Plagg left Adrian's jacket.

"You okay, kid?" Asked Plagg.

"I don't know how to feel about this, Plagg", said Adrian. "One day I'm in my room, the next I'm here". He then walked over to the windows and looked out.

"You think they have any Camembert?" Asked Plagg. Adrian only looked at his Kwami.

Agreste Manor.

Gabriel was sitting in a chair when the phone rang.

"Hello" he said.

'Nice to see you at least know how to greet your guests, Gabriel'. Gabriel instantly recognised that voice.

"You", said Gabriel. "How did-".

'I have my ways. Now, tell me, is it quiet without your son around? Or can't you tell because you never let him out of that fucking cell you call a room?'.

"I don't know who you think you are", said Gabriel. "But you are going to give me back my son and-".

'You are in NO position to make demands. You aren't even allowed near him anymore. So, I'd be careful with how you talk to people and the press from now on, because I got a whole pile of dirt with your name plastered over it. Oh, and do be careful, I hear Akumas go after negative emotions. Be careful'. The caller then hung up. Gabriel just walked to his room and sat on his bed, unaware that Nathalie was looking a him.

Meanwhile, William put his phone away.

"Let's see Lila try to ride Adrian's dick to the top now" he said to himself.
