Chapter Sixteen
"Yeah that's right we think he took two or more of those sleeping pills." Rouge said down the phone to the guy who made those pills.
"Come on Shads, wake up it's like eleven in the morning now." Sonic said as he was now sitting on the edge of the bed beside Shadow and looking so scared.
"Yeah we found them under his pillow...oh I plan to get rid of them believe me...oh thank chaos he will wake up...ok...yeah...right got ya, if there is any issue I will be calling you back. Thanks and I'll keep you updated, bye." Rouge said then hung up.
"So what did he say to do?" Sonic asked with hope that whatever it was will wake Shadow up.
"He said to give him some kind of boost to wake him up and it will take about five minutes to work. You need to run to GUN and find Joseph Blaine, he is getting something ready to be picked up. I will stay with Shadow and make sure he is comfortable. Oh and before you go, give these to him, I don't want Shadow finding them and taking the lot in one go." Rouge explained then passed the pot of sleeping pills to Sonic.
"Right, I will be as quick as I can." Sonic seriously said with high determination in his eyes then dashed out of the house.
"Huh, Shadow, hun, why didn't you say something to me about this?" Rouge sadly sighed as she took the space Sonic was once sitting then softly ran fingers through Shadow's quills...
...Meanwhile...
"Wow this area is so nice and peaceful." Sonic said as they all walked away from the woods entrance and approached the cabin.
"So where your camp was wasn't nice?" Shadow questioned with a raised brow.
"Well not as breathtaking as this lake." Sonic replied with a grin, glancing beside him at Shadow as they walked side by side a little behind Gerald and Maria.
Sonic then lent his head closer to Shadow's.
"Your pretty breathtaking yourself babe." Sonic whispered quietly so only Shadow could hear his words then moved away from Shadow but still kept his eyes on the one now blushing beside him.
"Er, I, erm..." Shadow was stumped in how to even reply to such a flattering comment as his heart pumped faster and mind turned to mush.
"So adorable you are." Sonic lightly chuckled then gave Shadow a slightly suggestive wink.
"Wow am I developing something for him so fast after meeting? Is this what is called love at first sight or something?" Shadow thought as his blush darkened and he was becoming a little flustered with how smooth and suggestive Sonic was being towards him.
And he loved it.
And he wanted more...
...Meanwhile...
"You sure you know how to do this Rouge?" Sonic asked as he stood by the bed next to Rouge and watched the bat lower the sharp end of the needle near Shadows arm.
"Sonic it's not that hard give someone a jab. You just insert the needle in and press down to release the liquid inside." Rouge said with an eye roll then got on with the job.
Sonic looked away just before the needle broke skin and closed his eyes to try and think of something else. He didn't like needles and he did not like seeing someone have an injection either.
"Ok Sonic you can open your eyes now, I'm finished." Rouge said in a teasing tone while capping the needle so the sharp point didn't jab her.
Sonic sighed in relief and opened his eyes, moving his head to look back at Shadow's sleeping form.
"So now we just wait for it to kick in then." Sonic muttered with a deep frown, crossing his arms and readying himself for when Shadow does.
Let's just say he was going to have quite a few words with Shadow for this rather uncharacteristic, irresponsible and reckless behaviour. Then after ranting and lecturing the black hedgehog he was going to confess his feelings to Shadow.
...Meanwhile...
Shadow and Sonic were alone together sitting on the sofa very closely. Shadow was facing Sonic with a smile as he listened to Sonic talk about where he came from.
"So yeah my home has pretty much only Mobians around but I hear there is talk about merging the two dominant species together. Whether or not it happens is another matter for most Mobians don't particularly trust humans. I personally don't have any issues with them and I also think your family is amazing...just like you." Sonic cheerfully said then lent closer and whispered his last three words with a seductive expression.
"B-but you barely know me and..." Shadow replied and never got the chance to finish what he wanted to say for he was captured with a kiss on the lips.
Shadow was wide eyed in shock to start with then soon found himself relaxing and kissing back. Sonic slowly guided a hand up Shadow's leg softly, across his hip and up his back as he lent towards Shadow while lowering Shadow down. Shadow was enjoying this and did not care he was now laying on his back with Sonic on top of him while they passionately kissed. In fact he was getting so into this and wanted a little more. He lifted a leg up and wrapped it around Sonic's waist, pulling Sonic down further on top of him.
The kiss finally broke and the two locked eyes.
"I love you Shadow." Sonic softly whispered as he rested his forehead on Shadow's, affectionately rubbing them together.
Shadow chuckled gently as he wrapped his arms around Sonic's neck.
"And I love you." Shadow whispered back with a warm content smile.
"How about we go upstairs for a little fun together, what do you say?" Sonic seductively purred as he began to grin with excitement.
"Are you referring to like mating?" Shadow asked as he was a little unsure about doing something like that.
"And what if I am babe, I know I love you and you did said you love me too." Sonic whispered as he moved a hand down Shadows side slowly.
"B-but what about dad and Maria, they will hear us and…" Shadow began but was unable to finish for his lips were captured into a kiss that lasted a few seconds.
"They are not here right now Shads, it is just you and me." Sonic purred sexually and had moved that hand towards Shadows tail.
"Then erm, al-alright." Shadow nervously said as he smiled shyly up at Sonic, trying to keep calm as he felt Sonic play with his tail in a pleasurable manner…
