Onward to Levincia
Lincoln is travelling through an area called East Province Area One to get to Levincia to compete for his third badge. Lincoln also took some time to train his Squawkabilly like he told him he would. He had Squawkabilly battle Deerlings and Skiddos in the area since Squawkabilly's Peck attack was strong against grass type Pokemon. Within time, Squawkabilly learned Aerial Ace. As Lincoln trained Squawkabilly, he suddenly sees a pink, mushroom like Pokemon nearby. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Toedscool, the Woodear Pokemon. Toedscool lives in muggy forests. The flaps that fall from its body are chewy and very delicious." said the Rotom Phone. Lincoln turns to Squawkabilly.
"Are you up for a battle, Squawkabilly?" asked Lincoln. Squawkabilly nods in response. He and Lincoln faced Toedscool, who stands tall on its long legs, glaring at them. "Squawkabilly, use Peck." Squawkabilly flies at Toedscool and pecks it, doing super effective damage, since it was part grass. Toedscool leaps up and shakes its body, releasing a purple powder from it and onto Squawkabilly. It turned purple under his eyes. "Oh man, I think you've been poisoned." Squawkabilly flinches as it lost a little stamina due to the poison. Toedscool begins to slump, confusing Lincoln, but Lincoln regained focus. "Okay, Toedscool, you asked for this. Squawkabilly, let's try your new Aerial Ace." Squawkabilly flies at Toedscool while being surrounded by streaks of white light and slams into Toedscool, causing super effective damage. Toedscool falls to the ground and struggles to get up. Lincoln takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Toedscool. It gets sucked into the pokeball and is captured. "Good work, Squawkabilly." Lincoln saw Squawkabilly still looked ill from the poison. Lincoln reaches into his backpack and pulls out a yellow spray bottle. "Good thing I stocked up on a few antidotes back at Artazon." He sprays Squawkabilly with the antidote and Squawkabilly was cured. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone. "Okay, Toedscool is female, she knows Wrap, Mud-Slap, Absorb, Poison Powder, Stun Spore, Supersonic, Tackle, and Mega Drain. She has an ability called Mycelium Might, which drops her speed to its lowest whenever she uses a status move." Lincoln continues to explore the area and train his other Pokemon, and catch other ones as well. He captured a Teddiursa, a Tauros, and a Cyclizar. His Crocalar learned Snarl, he taught Flabebe Disarming Voice and Draining Kiss, his Squawkabilly learned Fury Attack and Taunt, and Toedscool learned Screech. As he trained his Flabebe, she suddenly froze up and started to glow. Lincoln stood in awe as he knew that meant that Flabebe was evolving. When Flabebe stopped glowing, she was bigger, her body, along with her arms and the stem of her flower she had were longer, the bottom half of her body was a deep green color now, she had green leaflike extensions similar to eyelashes coming from her eyes, she had a yellow ring at the base of each of her long notched ears, and the end of her tail looked sharper. Lincoln pulls out his Rotom Phone and points it at his newly evolved Pokemon.
"Floette, the Single Bloom Pokemon, and the evolved form of Flabebe. This Pokemon can draw forth the most power when in sync with orange flowers, compared to flowers of other colors." said the Rotom Phone.
"This is awesome. Congratulations, Floette." said Lincoln. Floette flies at Lincoln and hugs the side of his head. Lincoln continued to explore the area. He soon stood on a cliff that overlooked the ocean. As he looked around, he saw a large city by the shore that had a lot of spotlights coming out of it. "That must be Levincia. It looks like a really cool city. Maybe before my gym battle, I can give myself a tour." Lincoln looks down and sees a small beach. He saw that it was starting to get dark, so he decides to set camp there for the night. He goes down to it and sees some Pokemon he hasn't caught yet so he takes the time to capture them. He caught a Sandygast, a Slowpoke, a Wiglett, and a Mareanie. After that, Lincoln decided to set up camp and make dinner for himself and his Pokemon. Once everyone ate and it was night out, Lincoln returns all his Pokemon to their pokeballs and went to sleep. Early next morning, Lincoln got out of his tent and stretched his arms up. "Man that was a good night sleep I had." Lincoln then let all his Pokemon out and started to make breakfast. He gave his Pokemon some food and brings his sandwich over to the shoreline. As he eats while looking at the sun rise up over the horizon, a light blue dolphinlike Pokemon with a ring of water near the end of its tail jumps out of the water and in front of the sun. The sight of it and the sunlight reflecting off the droplets of water and the Pokemon's skin filled Lincoln with wonder. Curious about the Pokemon, Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at it.
"Finizen, the Dolphin Pokemon. It likes playing with others of its kind using the water ring on its tail. It uses ultrasonic waves to sense the emotions of other living creatures." said the Rotom Phone. Lincoln continues watching the Finizen jumping out of the water with awe. The Finizen soon stops and looks towards the shore at Lincoln. Finizen closes his eyes in concentration and releases some soundwaves that Lincoln was able to feel. Soon, the Finizen opens his eyes and swims over to Lincoln. Lincoln takes off his shoes and socks, rolls up his pant legs and steps into the water and walks over to Finizen. Finizen looks at Lincoln, then at the half of a jam sandwich that Lincoln still had in his hand. Not feeling that hungry, Lincoln holds the sandwich up to Finizen's mouth. Finizen licks it a little, then eats it out of Lincoln's hand.
"Was it good?" asked Lincoln. Finizen smiles and nods. Lincoln smiles back...before the Finizen jumps up and back into the water, splashing some water on Lincoln. "Hey! What was that for?" Finizen laughs at Lincoln. "Oh yeah?" Lincoln splashes some water back at Finizen's face, who responds by splashing some water back at Lincoln. A splash war soon erupted between the two of them. Lincoln's Pokemon watched it go on for ten minutes. After the first two minutes they heard Lincoln laughing with amusement along with the Finizen. They realized that they were just having fun with each other now. After a while, they tired themselves out and Lincoln sits down on the sand while Finizen floats on the water. "That was fun." Finizen smiles and nods in agreement. He then has a look of shame on his face as he sees Lincoln's wet clothes. Lincoln notices this and realizes that Finizen felt bad about getting his clothes wet. "Don't worry about it Finizen, they'll dry eventually, and I have some other outfits like it in my backpack." This fact made Finizen smile. Lincoln heads back to camp and starts packing everything up. Once he was done, he looks back at Finizen. "I had lots of fun playing with you Finizen, but I really need to be going. Maybe I'll come back after my gym battle, and we can play some more. But next time I'll wear swim trunks." As Lincoln turns to leave, he hears Finizen splashing and calling out to him. He looks back to see Finizen standing upright on the water; it then jumps out of the water and onto the sand. Concerned, Lincoln runs back up to Finizen. "Finizen, I'm not sure you should be out of the water." Then to Lincoln's surprise, Finizen starts to float off the ground. Upon examination, Lincoln sees the ring of water near the end of Finizen's tail glowing a bit. "Does that ring of water at the end of your tail allow you to travel over land?" Finizen nods in response. "That's so cool." Finizen floats over to Lincoln and nuzzles his chest. "Do you want to come with me?" Finizen nods in response. Lincoln smiles and reaches into his backpack and pulls out an empty pokeball. Suddenly, Finizen pokes it out of Lincoln's hand, and he starts balancing it on the tip of his nose. It bounces it once, making it enlarge, then bounces it higher and lets it land on its head, making the pokeball suck it inside. Lincoln smiled with amusement at Finizen's antics. The pokeball lands on the ground and wiggles a few times before clicking, indicating a successful capture. Soon, the pokeball is transported to storage. Lincoln uses his Rotom Phone and swaps his Squawkabilly for Finizen. Lincoln looks at his new Finizen's pokeball with a smile on his face. "Welcome to the team, Finizen." Lincoln looks at his Rotom Phone for information on his new Finizen. "Okay, this says my Finizen is a boy, he knows Supersonic, Water Gun, Astonish, Focuse Energy, and Aqua Jet, and he has the Water Veil ability which makes him immune to the burn status condition." Lincoln returns his other Pokemon except Koraidon to their pokeballs, then he gets on Koraidon's back and rides towards Levincia.
