When Worlds Collide
Lincoln, Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny, and Arven continued to stare at the three unknown boys and the second Arven and Mabosstiff who suddenly appeared in the cavern they were in.
"Hello? Are you gonna tell us who you guys are?!" asked the short, black-haired boy. Shaking out of his daze, Lincoln decides to introduce himself.
"My name is Lincoln Loud." said Lincoln.
"I'm Stan." said Stan.
"I'm Kyle." said Kyle.
"I'm Eric, but everyone calls me Cartman." said Cartman.
"I'm Kenny." said Kenny.
"My name is Leopold, but everyone calls me Butters." said Butters.
"And I'm Arven." said Arven. The other Arven stares back at him.
"You can't be Arven; I'm Arven!" said the other Arven.
"No, I'm Arven!" said Arven. Lincoln looks back at the other three boys.
"Okay. Now that we told you who we are; how about telling us who you three are." said Lincoln.
"I'm Ed." said the tall boy with the unibrow.
"My name is Edd also, but with two D's, so everyone calls me Double D." said the boy with the hat.
"And I'm Eddy." said the short boy.
"Can you explain to us why your uniforms are similar to ours, but the color of your neckties and pants being purple instead of orange?" asked Kyle.
"I don't know. All the uniforms at Uva Academy are like this." said Edd.
"Uva Academy? I never heard of it." said Stan.
"It's a Pokemon academy in Mesagoza city." said Edd.
"We attend a Pokemon academy in Mesagoza city also, but it's called Naranja Academy." said Lincoln.
"Naranja Academy? Never heard of it." replied Eddy.
"This is getting weird." said Kenny.
"What is going on?" asked Lincoln.
"It is simple." said Ed. Everyone looks at Ed who thinks for a little bit. "We are from different alternate universes and they got mixed together!" Everyone stares at Ed.
"Ed. Do you know how preposterous that sounds?" asked Edd. Ed sulks in response.
"I think we should head back to Naranja Academy and see if Mr. Clavell can get in touch with Professor Sada." said Stan.
"Why?" asked Kyle.
"This happened when Cartman's Koraidon there had that energy surge after eating that Herba Mystica sandwich." said Stan as he looks at Cartman's Koraidon. Ed, Edd, and Eddy look over at Koraidon.
"Your Koraidon looks similar to our Miraidon over there, but non-robotic." said Edd.
"Yeah. It's so weird." said Lincoln.
"Something happened with us when Miraidon had an energy surge after eating an Herba Mystica sandwich." said Edd.
"You guys are looking for Herba Mystica also?" asked Arven.
"Yes. Our Arven is looking for them to help his Mabosstiff." said Edd.
"We're doing the same thing to help our Arven's Mabosstiff." said Lincoln. The two Arvens look at one another.
"You're helping your Mabosstiff, just like I am?" asked Arven.
"Yes. I'd do anything for Mabosstiff. He's my best Pokemon friend." said the other Arven.
"I can relate to that." said Arven.
"Anyway, let's get back to Mesagoza and see if we can get in touch with Professor Sada." said Lincoln.
"Who's Professor Sada?" asked Edd.
"She's a researcher who does studies in a place north of Mesagoza called Area Zero." explained Stan.
"We know of a Pokemon researcher who works in Area Zero also, but his name is Professor Turo." said Edd.
"What's this Professor Turo like?" asked Kenny. Edd pulls out his Rotom Phone and brings up a picture of a man with brown hair and goatee, wearing a black and purple bodysuit and a lab coat.
"This is Professor Turo." said Edd. "What's this Professor Sada like?" Stan looks at Kenny.
"Kenny. We know you have several pictures of Professor Sada on your Rotom Phone." said Stan.
"Why?" asked Eddy. Kenny takes out his Rotom Phone and brings up one of his pictures of Professor Sada and shows it to Ed, Edd, and Eddy. They all blush at the sight of her.
"That's your professor?!" asked Eddy. "She's hot!"
"Yeah, that's her." said Kenny.
"Lucky!" said Eddy. Lincoln clenches his fist. Edd notices this.
"What's wrong, Lincoln?" asked Edd.
"Oh. We don't say the L-word around Lincoln." said Kyle.
"Why?" asked Edd.
"It's a long story." said Stan.
"Professor Sada is my mom." said Arven.
"Professor Turo is my dad." said the other Arven. The Arvens look at each other.
"I don't know anything about my dad." said Arven.
"And I don't know anything about my mom." said the other Arven.
"Okay, guys. Let's just get back to Mesagoza." said Stan as he releases his Koraidon from his pokeball, prompting Lincoln, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny to release their Koraidons. Ed, Edd, and Eddy look with amazement.
"You each have one of those Koraidon things?" asked Eddy.
"It's also a long story." said Stan. Ed, Edd, and Eddy all hop on Miraidon. Butters hops on Cartman's Koradion. Kyle looks at Arven.
"Hey, Arven. Hop on and I can give you a ride." said Kyle.
"Thanks." said Arven as he returns his Mabosstiff to his pokeball and hops onto Kyle's Koraidon and sits behind Kyle. Stan looks at the other Arven.
"Hey. Want a lift?" asked Stan. The other Arven looks at Ed, Edd, and Eddy all sitting on their Miraidon.
"Well it looks like Miraidon doesn't have much room on it for another person so I think it would be better if I rode with you." said the other Arven. He returns his Mabosstiff to his pokeball and hops on Stan's Koraidon.
"Everyone ready?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah, Lincoln." said Kyle.
"Let's get going." said Lincoln. With that, they all ride out of the cavern and head towards Mesagoza. A few minutes later, they reach Cortondo where there was a lot of commotion going on. As they looked around, they see that there was more people there than they remembered and that everyone seemed to have a twin.
"Whoa. Did everyone here have a twin and we never noticed?" asked Kenny.
"I don't know, dude." said Kyle. As they look around, they see two Katies talking to each other. Lincoln moves his Koraidon over to them.
"Katy? What's going on?" asked Lincoln. The two Katies look towards Lincoln and one of them seems to recognize him.
"Lincoln? Are you all right?" asked the Katy.
"I'm fine." said Lincoln. He then looks at the other Katy. "You have a twin sister?"
"No." said Katy. "I was outside my bakery when a strange energy came out of the mountain over there." She pointed to the mountain that the Sky Titan Pokemon was. "There was a sudden flash of light and when it stopped, this Katy was standing next to me." The other Katy walks over to them.
"Who is this?" asked the other Katy.
"This is Lincoln. He's an academy student who challenged me to a gym battle three days ago." said Katy. The other Katy looks Lincoln over.
"Why is his uniform similar to a Uva Academy student's uniform, but the necktie and pants are orange?" asked the other Katy.
"Uva? Our academy is called Naranja." replied Katy. Lincoln sighs in exasperation.
"I'm sorry to cut this discussion short, partly because we had the same talk with those three over there." said Lincoln as he points at Ed, Edd, and Eddy. The other Katy looks over at them and her eyes widen in recoginiton.
"Hello, Ed, Edd, and Eddy." said the other Katy.
"Hi, Ms. Katy." said Ed. Lincoln looks back at the other Katy.
"You know them?" asked Lincoln.
"Yes. Eddy over there challenged me to a gym battle yesterday." said the other Katy.
"Oh. Well if you'll excuse us, we really need to be heading back to Mesagoza." said Lincoln.
"Okay. Be careful." said the other Katy.
"We will." said Lincoln. He heads back to the others.
"This...is getting...weird." said Kyle.
"I know. Let's just get back to the academy and hopefully one of our professors should have some answers." said Stan. They leave Cortondo and continue riding to Mesagoza. After several minutes of riding, they arrived at Mesagoza. Like in Cortondo, everyone in Mesagoza were looking at doubles of themselves. They ride to the academy and when they got there, they look at the gate and saw that one side of the gate had Naranja's orange fruit insignia, but the other side had a purple insignia with grapes. Lincoln looks at the grapes insignia and looks at the Eds.
"Is this Uva's insignia." said Lincoln, pointing at the insignia.
"Indeed it is." replied Ed.
"Come on. Let's get to Director Clavell's office." said Stan. They all return their Koraidons and Miradion to their pokeballs, enter the academy and head for Mr. Clavell's office. They enter and see two Mr. Clavells looking at a TV monitor that had Professor Turo and Professor Sada on it.
"We have no idea what is going on." said Professor Sada.
"All I know is that we detected a large energy spike northwest of Cortondo right before doubles of everyone appeared." said Professor Turo. The boys gasp in response to the information. The professors and Mr. Clavells look at the boys.
"Arven? Are you okay, son?" asked Professor Turo and Professor Sada at the same time.
"I'm fine, Mom." said Arven.
"I'm fine too, Dad." said the other Arven. Stan steps forward.
"That energy spike near Cortondo you were just talking about; we know what that was." said Stan.
"You do?" asked the professors. Stan went on to explained what happened in the cavern with Edd giving a similar story. The professors talked amongst themselves for ten minutes before working at a computer. After that, they focused their attention back to the room.
"Okay. Here's what we believed happened." said Professor Turo. An image appears on the screen showing a white line going down the middle of the screen with one half being completely red with an image of Koraidon on it and the other half being purple with Miraidon on it. "There are multiple alternate universes that exist side-by-side with one another, unaware the others even exist."
"This is because there is a boundary between each universe that keeps them seperate from one another." said Professor Sada. The screen then shows an energy aura coming out of Koraidon.
"The energy that erupted from Koraidon after it ate the first Herba Mystica sandwich was able to force it's way through the boundary, but it wasn't strong enough to do any damage to it, same when Miraidon ate his." said Professor Turo. Then the image on the screen showed an energy aura coming out of the Miraidon colliding with the Koraidon's energy aura, then it showed the line dividing the two halves shattering, resulting in the red and purple from each half mixing together.
"But because they ate the second Herba Mystica sandwiches at the same time in the same location, their energy auras collided with one another, combining the energies and making an energy spike strong enough to shatter the boundary between our two universes, causing them to merge together." said Professor Sada. Edd looks at Ed.
"It seems your theory about alternate universes combining was right, Ed." said Edd.
"Ed was right about something?!" said Eddy with shock.
"Well that would explain why everyone else seems to have a double." said Kyle.
"We are so sorry! We didn't know that was going to happen!" said Lincoln.
"It's okay, Lincoln. No one knows about multiple universes or the potential of a Pokemon's energy." said Professor Sada.
"And you had no way of knowing that something like that would happen." said Professor Turo. Lincoln lets out a sigh of relief.
"Professors. Do you know how far this phenomenon has reached?" asked Edd. Professor Turo looks at an off screen computer.
"It seems this phenomenon is restricted only to Paldea so it hasn't spread throughout entire world." said Professor Turo.
"That's good. The world is crowded enough as it is." said Kyle.
"But I noticed that there's no double of me." said Stan.
"I didn't see a double of me either." said Eddy.
"That's a relief. One Eddy is enough." said Edd. Eddy glares at him in response.
"I assume that in Professor Sada's universe which we'll call the Naranja Universe to make things easier that Ed, Edd, and Eddy never came to Paldea or even existed, so there was no copies of them to be thrown into the mix." said Professor Turo.
"Much like in the Uva Universe; Lincoln, Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Eric, and Butters never came to Paldea or were even born." said Professor Sada.
"I see." said Edd.
"So what do we do now?" asked Kenny.
"I contacted all the students and are having them return to Mesagoza. The Treasure Hunt assignments are on hold until further notice until things calm down." said the Naranja Mr. Clavell.
"That would be best." said Uva Mr. Clavell.
"Yeah. After the craziness we've just been through, chilling out for a while would be good for us." said Lincoln.
"Agreed." said Edd.
"In the meantime, we'll see if we can find a way to seperate our universes." said Professor Turo.
"Excuse me, but did an ability of our Koraidons and the Eds Miraidon awaken after eating that last Herba Mystica?" asked Lincoln.
"Oh, yes. The Koraidons and the Miraidon can now travel by water." replied Professor Sada.
"Cool." said Stan.
"Just keep finding more of the Herba Mystica so you can awaken the rest of the Koraidons and Miraidon's abilities." said Professor Turo.
"Okay." said Kyle.
"Talk to you later Mom/Dad." said the two Arvens.
"Okay, son." said Professors Turo and Sada. With that, the boys leave the office. The two Mr. Clavells look at the TV monitor.
"We hope you two can find a solution." said the Naranja Mr. Clavell.
"We will use every resource possible to find a way to resolve the situation." said Professor Turo.
"Very well. We'll leave it to you." said Uva Mr. Clavell. He then turns off the TV screen.
