Eddy vs Iono
When the Eds enter Levincia, they were amazed by all the sights they saw.
"Whoa. This place is so awesome." said Eddy.
"It does look rather amazing, doesn't it." said Edd.
"It's so cool!" said Ed. They explore the city for a while as they looked for the Pokemon League building. After a while, they locate it, and go inside. Eddy walks over to the front desk and talks to the receptionist behind it.
"Hey, there." said Eddy. "I'm Eddy. Future Paldaea League champion, and soon-to-be top internet sensation. I'm here to challenge Iono to a gym battle."
"Very well." said the receptionist. "I'll just need your information and we'll get you started." Eddy gives the receptionist the information she requested, and she puts it into her computer. "Thank you. You may now begin your Gym Test."
"I know that I'll be starring in one of Iono's livestream videos." said Eddy.
"I see you know about that." said the receptionist.
"Yeah. I saw the livestream video of Lincoln doing it." said Eddy.
"Oh, that white-haired boy that one of the Ionoes has a crush on?" asked the receptionist.
"Yeah, that guy." said Eddy. "I'll bet I'll do way better than him."
"We'll see." said the receptionist. "Just step outside to begin your Gym Test."
"Sweet." said Eddy. "Stand back, boys. I got this."
"Hope you have an easier time than you did with the last Gym Test." said Edd before chuckling.
"Whatever." said Eddy. He steps outside and hears Iono's voice.
"Ladies aaand gentlemens! It's time for the Iono Zone!" said Iono's voice. Eddy looks around and sees himself on one of the large video monitors around the city and decides to do a pose with a big smile on his face. Also on the screen was a girl with long, blue and pink hair that had some of it tied into a bow in front of her head, a large yellow and black sweater with an icon that looks like a play button with a lightning bolt going into it, she was also wearing a silver outfit under it, along with one silver legging, and more noticeably, two hair accessories that look like Magnemites with smaller magnets. "Hey, hey, hey! Your eyeballs are MINE! Caught in my Electroweb! Whosawhatsit? Iono! 'Ello, 'ello, hola! Ciao, and bonjour!"
"Hey, Iono! I'm Eddy; next Paldea League champion, and soon-to-be, most popular internet sensation around!" said Eddy as he poses for the camera some more.
"You'll have to go through me first to get to either of those titles!" said Iono.
"Whatever." said Eddy, making Iono pout at his smug attitude. "Hey. Are you the Iono that kissed Lincoln?"
"No, that was the other Iono." said the Iono who we'll refer to as Uva Iono. "And I see why, he is cute."
"Hey! I saw Lincoln first!" said another Iono's voice from near Eddy, who turns to see the other Iono, who we'll refer to as Naranja Iono.
"Anyway, for your Gym Test, you'll need to help us get a lot of views for our channel, so we'll be doing a game called 'Where in Levincia is Iono?' said the Uva Iono.
"Yeah, I seen this game in the video with Lincoln in it." said Eddy. "I need to use the city's video surveillance cameras to find this Iono."
"This is our channel! We explain the rules!" said the Uva Iono. "Anyway, you're right about how the challenge works." A beep was heard on Eddy's Rotom Phone, making him pull it out and see it was linked to the video's surveillance system.
"Sweet! I can see the entire city!" said Eddy as he tries it out, also taking the time to look at some other girls.
"Hey, Eddy! It's time for your Gym Test to start!" said Uva Iono.
"Seriously; Linky took this way more seriously." said the Naranja Iono, smiling as she thinks about Lincoln.
"Whatever. Let's just get this over with." said Eddy, making the Ionoes frown.
"Wait here while I go hide somewhere." said the Naranja Iono as she runs off. Eddy looks at his Rotom Phone.
"This will be easy!" said Eddy. Fortunately for Eddy, Naranja Iono's hair and outfit really made her stand out, even in the most crowded areas, making her easy to find everytime. After each time he finds her, a gym trainer comes out and battles him. Eddy manages to win each and every time. After the third time, Uva Iono appears on the screen.
"Our subscriber number is on the rise! Not as much as it did when Linky did the Gym Test, but it's something, and you passed!" said Uva Iono.
"Whatever. I'll bet your number will go WAAAAY up during our gym battle!" said Eddy.
"We'll see about that." said Uva Iono. "I'll be waiting at the big stage where the other Iono battled Linky."
"Sweet! I'll be battling on a big stage, with millions of people watching me!" said Eddy.
"Just report your success to the Pokemon League building's receptionist and she'll give you directions on how to get to the stage." said Uva Iono.
"I'll be right there to knock you off your interntet throne." said Eddy, making Uva Iono frown before the screen changed into an advertisement for Delibird Presents. Eddy goes back into the Pokemon League building where his friends were waiting.
"You did it, Eddy!" said Ed as he hugs Eddy.
"Congratulations, Eddy." said Edd.
"Was there ever any doubt?" asked Eddy.
"A lot." said Edd, making Eddy grumble.
"Whatever." said Eddy as he walks over to the receptionist and reports his success.
"Congratulations." said the receptionist as she types something on her computer, making Eddy's Rotom Phone beep. He looks to see a map of Levincia with a dot on a circular stage. "That marks the location of your gym battle."
"Sweet!" said Eddy. "Let's go, boys." He and his friends exit the Pokemon League building and head for the battle area. When they get there, they see Uva Iono was already there waiting with her camera pointing at her. Eddy looks around at the screens around the stage and sees her on them.
"Cool." said Ed.
"Hey, Iono. Hope I didn't keep you waiting." said Eddy.
"Nope! Just ready to get started!" said Uva Iono."Ladies aaand gentlemens! Are you ready? Hey, hey, hey! Your eyeballs are MINE! Caught in my Electroweb! Whosawhatsit? Iono! 'Ello, 'ello, hola! Ciao, and bonjour!" Eddy then runs in front of Uva Iono and starts posing in front of the camera.
"Eddy here! Ready to knock Iono off her throne and beat her in a gym battle." said Eddy. Uva Iono then shoves Eddy out of the way.
"Anyway; this is my next challenger, Eddy. He thinks he can beat me in a gym battle! Let's see if I can prove him wrong everybody!" said Uva Iono, getting lots of support from the many fans who were there.
"Let's do this, already." said Eddy as he does one more pose for the camera before running off to one side of the stage. On one of the video screens, a digital face appears.
"This is an official gym battle between Iono, the gym leader, and Eddy, the challenger." said the digital face. "Each side will use four Pokemon. The battle will end when one trainer's pokemon are unable to battle. Let the battle begin." Eddy and Iono each pull out a pokeball.
"Wattrel, you're on!" said Iono, throwing a pokeball and releasing a black, light gray, and yellow birdlike Pokemon. Edd takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Wattrel, the Storm Petrel Pokemon. These Pokémon make their nests on coastal cliffs. The nests have a strange, crackling texture, and they're a popular delicacy." said the Rotom Phone.
"Luxio, go!" said Eddy, throwing Luxio's pokeball and releasing her. Luxio glares at Wattrel, making it nervous and weakening her attack strength. "Ha! Luxio's Intimidate ability weakens your Wattrel's strength!"
"Well, we won't let that stop us!" said Uva Iono. "Wattrel, Quick Attack!" Wattrel flies at Luxio with incredible speed and rams her, making her take a step back, but not doing much damage to her, due to its attack strength being weakened.
"Luxio, Spark!" said Eddy. Luxio becomes surrounded by electricity and rams Wattrel, knocking it back, but it stayed in the air.
"Hey! I thought electric type attacks were strong against flying types!" exclaimed Eddy.
"Wattrel's part electric, Eddy! So electric attacks will only do a moderate amount of damage to it." said Edd. He pinches the bridge of his nose. "You really should have studied." Wattrel suddenly becomes surrounded by electricty and it shudders. "But it appears Luxio's Spark has paralyzed Wattrel."
"Sweet." said Eddy.
"That won't stop us!" said Uva Iono. "Wattrel, Quick Attack again!" Wattrel fights through its paralysis and rams Luxio.
"Luxio, Leer!" said Eddy. Luxio glares at Wattrel and her eyes glow blue, weakening Wattrel's defense.
"Quick Attack!" said Uva Iono. Unfortunately, paralysis gets the better of Wattrel, stopping it from attacking.
"Bite!" said Eddy. Luxio jumps at Wattrel and bites it, doing more damage to it from its defense being weakened and also making it flinch. "Now use Tackle!" Luxio rams Wattrel, knocking it to the ground.
"Use Spark!" said Uva Iono. Wattrel fights through its paralysis and becomes surrounded by electricity. It flies at Luxio and rams her, not doing much damage to her. She suddenly becomes surrounded by electricity and she shudders. "Now Luxio's paralyzed too!" Eddy growls.
"Use Bite!" said Eddy. Luxio fights through her paralysis and bites Wattrel. It proved too much for it and it faints.
"Wattrel is unable to battle. Luxio is the winner!" said the digital face.
"Ha! In your face, Wattrel!" exclaimed Eddy. Uva Iono looks at Eddy with an annoyed look on her face while returning Wattrel to its pokeball.
"You were awesome, Wattrel!" said Uva Iono. She puts Wattrel's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Bellibolt, you're on!" She throws the pokeball and releases a green, froglike Pokemon. Edd points his Rotom Phone at it.
"Bellibolt, the EleFrog Pokemon. What appear to be eyeballs are actually organs for discharging the electricity generated by Bellibolt's belly-button dynamo." said the Rotom Phone.
"Whoa. I think that's one belly button the Belly Button Eater would not want to try to eat, Double D." said Ed.
"I agree, Ed." said Edd.
"Luxio, Bite!" said Eddy. Paralyis stopped Luxio from attacking.
"Bellibolt, Water Gun!" said Uva Iono. Bellibolt releases a stream of water from its mouth, and it hits Luxio.
"Try using Bite, again!" said Eddy. Luxio fights through her paralysis and bites Bellibolt's head. Bellibolt suddenly begins shaking and becomes surrounded by electricity. "Hey, what's going on?"
"Bellibolt's Electromorphois ability has activated." said Uva Iono.
"Oh my. When a Pokemon with that ability recieves damage, it becomes charged up and will boost the power of the next electric type attack it uses." said Edd.
"Wow! You're smart!" said Uva Iono, making Edd smile. Bite doesn't cause Bellibolt to flinch. "Now Bellibolt, Spark!" Bellibolt becomes surrounded by a large burst of electricty and rams Luxio, knocking her to the ground. She struggles to get up.
"Use Spark!" said Eddy. Luxio fights through her paralysis and becomes surrounded by electricity. She rams into Bellibolt, not doing much damage to it, but it caused Bellibolt to become paralyzed. "Ha! Now Bellibolt's paralyzed!"
"Bellibolt, Water Gun!" said Uva Iono. Bellibolt fights through its paralysis and sprays Luxio with Water Gun. Luxio drops to the ground, unconscious.
"Luxio is unable to battle. Bellibolt wins." said the digital head.
"You did it, Bellibolt!" cheered Uva Iono. Bellibolt jumps up and down, happily. Eddy growls and returns Luxio to her pokeball. He puts it away and pulls out another one.
"Okay, Gimmighoul, let's go!" said Eddy, throwing Gimmighoul's pokeball and releasing him. "Use Astonish!" Gimmighoul hops over to Bellibolt and makes a scary face at it, damaging it and causing it to flinch. "Use Astonish again!" Gimmighoul makes another scary face at Bellibolt, hurting it, but not causing it to flinch.
"Use Spark!" said Uva Iono. Bellibolt fights through its paralysis and becomes surrounded by electricty. It jumps at Gimmighoul and rams him, damaging him, and causing paralysis.
"Gimmighoul, use Tackle." said Eddy. Gimmighoul manages to fight through paralysis and rams Bellibolt.
"Bellibolt, Water Gun!" said Uva Iono. Unfortunately, Bellibolt's paralysis kicks in, stopping him from attacking.
"Astonish!" said Eddy. Gimmighoul fights through his paralysis and makes another scary face at Bellibolt, knocking it out.
"Bellibolt is unable to battle. Gimmighoul is the winner." said the digital face.
"Yeah! Two down, two to go!" said Eddy. Uva Iono returns Bellibolt to its pokeball.
"You were radical, Bellibolt." said Uva Iono. She puts Bellibolts pokeball and away and pulls another pokeball out of her pocket. "I met your Luxio, now meet mine!" She throws the pokeball and releases a Luxio. It glares at Gimmighoul, making him nervous and weakening his attack strength.
"It seems that Iono's Luxio also has the Intimidate ability, Eddy." said Edd.
"You got that right!" said Uva Iono. "Luxio, use Bite!" Luxio leaps at Gimmighoul and bites him, doing super effective damage due to dark type moves being strong against ghost type Pokemon. Gimmighoul starts shaking.
"Ha! My Gimmighoul has the Rattled ability!" said Eddy. "So his speed increases when he's hit with a ghost or dark type move!"
"Very good, Eddy." said Edd.
"Okay, Gimmighoul. Use Tackle!" said Eddy. Gimmighoul tries to use Tackle, but paralysis kicks in, preventing him from attacking.
"Okay, Luxio! Use Spark one more time!" said Uva Iono. Luxio hits Gimmighoul with another Spark attack, this time knocking him out.
"Gimmighoul is unable to battle. Luxio is the winner." said the digital face.
"Yaaay! You did it, Luxio!" said Uva Iono. Luxio does a backflip out of joy. Eddy returns Gimmighoul to his pokeball.
"I really need to find more Gimmighoul coins so Gimmighoul can evolve." said Eddy. He puts Gimmighoul's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Your Luxio's electric moves won't do a lot of good against this Pokemon!" He then throws the pokeball, releasing his Gabite.
"Brilliant move, Eddy." said Edd. "Gabite is part ground type, so electric type moves are no good against her."
"Sweet!" said Eddy. "Gabite, use Bulldoze!" Gabite stomps on the stage floor, sending a shockwave through it which hits Luxio, doing super effective damage, and also lowering its speed.
"Luxio, use Ice Fang!" said Uva Iono. Luxio jumps at Gabite with its fangs glistening with ice and bites down on her, doing a lot of super effective damage.
"Oh dear." said Edd. "Ice type moves are extremely strong against Gabite, due to dragon and ground types being weak against them."
"Gabite, use Tackle!" said Eddy. Gabite runs at Luxio and rams her head into it, sending it flying to the ground, unconscious.
"Luxio is unable to battle. Gabite is the winner." said the digital face.
"Yes! We got this, Gabite." said Eddy, making Gabite grin at him. Uva Iono returns Luxio to its pokeball.
"You were awesome, Luxio." said Uva Iono. She then puts Luxio's pokeball away and pulls out her last one. She throws it, releasing a purple ghost-like Pokemon that looked like it was wearing a cloak, and witch's hat. Eddy points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Mismagius, the Magical Pokemon, and the evolved form of Mismagius. Its cries sound like incantations to torment the foe. It appears where you least expect it." said the Rotom Phone. Uva Iono then pulls a Tera Orb out of one of her sleeves.
"She has a Tera Orb, Eddy!" said Edd.
"Big deal." said Eddy. "We're ready for anything she throws at us." Uva Iono throws the Tera Orb at Mismagius, making crystal pillars appear around it. The crystals shatter, showing Mismagius with crystallized skin, and a crystal light bulb on her head.
"It appears that Iono's Mismagius' Tera Form is electric." said Edd.
"No problem, sockhead." said Eddy. "I know how to handle this."
"You would think so, huh?" replied Uva Iono.
"You bet I do." said Eddy. "Gabite, use Bulldoze and finish this." Gabite sends out another Bulldoze through the stage towards Mismagius; but to Eddy's shock, it goes right under it, not doing any damage.
"Here's something that wasn't shown during Linky's gym battle with the other me; my Mismagius has the Levitate ability." said Uva Iono.
"What's that do?" asked Eddy.
"Eddy! Levitate makes Mismagius immune to ground type attacks!" said Edd.
"That's right." said Uva Iono, making Eddy growl. "Mismagius, use Magical Leaf!" Mismagius releases a barrage of glowing green leaves, hitting Gabite, doing some damage.
"Oh yeah?!" replied Eddy. "Gabite, use Dragon Breath!" Gabite releases a stream of green energy which hits Mismagius, damaging it. Electricity suddenly appears around Mismagius.
"It appears that Dragon Breath has caused Mismagius to be paralyzed." said Edd.
"Sweet!" said Eddy.
"Well, that won't stop us!" said Uva Iono. "Mismagius, use Phantom Force!" Mismagius fights through her paralysis and disappears.
"Hey! Where did it go?" asked Eddy as he and Gabite started looking everywhere for Mismagius. Suddenly, it appears in front of Gabite and strikes her hard, knocking her to the stage floor, unconscious."
"Gabite is unable to battle. Mismagius is the winner." said the digital face.
"Yaay! You did it, Mismagius!" said Uva Iono. Mismagius does a curtsy in response. Eddy returns Gabite to her pokeball.
"Eddy. You're down to one Pokemon." said Edd.
"What will you do now, Eddy?" asked Ed.
"I'm going to win this." said Eddy. He puts Gabite's pokeball away and pulls out another. "Crocalor, go!" He throws Croaclor's pokeball and releases him. "Crocalor, Leer!" Crocalor stares at Mismagius and his eyes glow blue. Mismagius trembles and its defense weakens.
"Mismagius, Charge Beam!" said Uva Iono. Mismagius unleashes a yellow beam of electricity, and it hits Crocalor, knocking him back. Mismagius begins to bulk up.
"Eddy! Charge Beam increases the special attack strength of the Pokemon that uses it." said Edd.
"Your friend there is smart." said Uva Iono.
"Tell me something I don't know." said Eddy.
"I don't know, Eddy. There's so much to choose from." replied Edd, making Eddy growl and Uva Iono giggle.
"Crocalor, Bite!" said Eddy. Crocalor leaps at Mismagius and bites one of its arms, doing more damage to it due to her defense being weakened.
"Mismagius, try using Hex!" said Uva Iono. Unfortunately, paralysis gets the better of Mismagius and stops it from attacking.
"Crocalor, Incinerate!" said Eddy. Crocalor launches a fireball out of his mouth, and it hits Mismagius, knocking her back.
"Phantom Force!" said Uva Iono. Mismagius fights through her paralysis and creates a portal on the floor. Mismagius jumps into it and it disappears. Eddy and Crocalor look around. A portal appears on the ground next to Crocalor. Mismagius floats out of his and swings one of its arms, hitting Crocalor, knocking him to the ground. Crocalor struggles to get up. As he did, he was surrounded by a red-orange aura.
"Eddy! Crocalor's Blaze ability has activated!" said Edd. Eddy grins and takes out his Tera Orb.
"You have a Tera Orb too?!" asked Uva Iono.
"You bet I do!" said Eddy. He throws the Tera Orb over Crocalor's head, making crystal pillars appear around him. The crystals shatter, showing Crocalor with crystal skin, and a crystal candelabra on his head.
"Oh no!" said Uva Iono.
"You can say that again!" said Eddy. "Crocalor, use Incinerate!" Crocalor's crystal candelabra flares up before he releases a powerful fireball from him mouth which hits Mismagius with enough explosive force to shatter its Tera Form and knock it out.
"Mismagius is unable to battle. Crocalor is the winner. That means the winner of the gym battle is the challenger, Eddy." said the digital face.
"I win!" cheered Eddy. Crocalor's Tera Form shatters and he slumps to the ground. Eddy runs over to Crocalor and hugs him.
"Eddy won!" said Ed.
"Indeed he has, Ed." said Edd. Uva Iono returns Mismagius to her pokeball.
"You were awesome, Mismagius." said Uva Iono. She walks over next to Eddy and stands next to him with her Rotom Phone floating in front of them.
"I hate to say it everyone, but I lost! But thanks for cheering me on, everyone!" said Uva Iono.
"I'll bet this video will be way better than your other ones because I was in it." said Eddy as he wipes his knuckles on his shirt.
"Anyway, what does Eddy get for beating me? The lean, mean, streamin' queen?" asked Iono. "I'll tell you. Eddy gets...a Gym Badge! Yaay!" She then hands Eddy a gym badge with a lightning bolt on it, along with some pokedollars.
"Sweet!" said Eddy as he takes the Gym Badge and money.
"Now how about a picture together?" asked Iono.
"I never turn down a photo op." said Eddy. The two take a picture together, with Eddy standing in front of Uva Iono doing an over-the-top pose, while she was frowning at him. Later at the Pokemon Center on the south end of Levincia, The Eds were waiting for Eddy's Pokemon to be treated.
"So, what do we do now?" asked Ed. Edd pulls out his Rotom Phone and looks at the map on the screen.
"Ed. It appears there's another Titan Pokemon north of here." said Edd.
"Oh boy!" cheered Ed. "Can we look for it?"
"I suppose so." said Edd. "We do need to get more Herba Mystica for Arven's Mabosstiff."
"Yeah." said Ed. Just then, they see Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Cartman, Butters, and Trent Boyett, walking into Levincia, who notice them.
"Hey, guys." said Stan.
"What are you doing here?" asked Kyle.
"Check this out." said Eddy as he pulls out his badge case, opens it, and shows them his Levincia Gym Badge.
"You beat Iono?" asked Kenny.
"You bet I did." said Eddy.
"Well we're challenging her next." said Cartman.
"I wish you luck, gentlemen." said Edd.
"Thanks, dude." said Stan. He and his friends walk to the Pokemon League building. Once Eddy got his Pokemon back, Ed lets Miraidon out of his pokeball and the Eds climb onto him and ride him towards their next destination.
