The Treasure Hunt Continues
Once they got the notification from the Mr. Clavells that the Treasure Hunts were continuing, everyone started planning what they were going to do next.
"So, what are you guys going to do next for your Treasure Hunts?" asked Stan. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and brings up the map of gym locations.
"Well, there's a gym in Cascarrafa that I haven't challenged yet. I'll head there next to try and earn my next gym badge." said Lincoln. Naranja Nemona smiles at Lincoln's idea.
"Good thinking. I really want you to earn all your gym badges so we can battle at the Pokemon League." said Naranja Nemona. She and the Uva Nemona then turn to walk away.
"Where are you two going?" asked Stan.
"We made plans to have a practice battle together to prepare for the Paldea League competition." said Uva Nemona.
"That sounds like a good idea. Have fun you two." said Edd. The Nemonas then walk off, leaving the Eds, Lincoln, Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny, and Butters to themselves.
"So what are you guys going to do now?" Lincoln asked.
"Well." Stan began to say. "Before me, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny deal with our 'little problem' tomorrow, we're gonna head for Artazon City and take on the gym there."
"Yeah." said Kyle. Cartman and Kenny nod in response.
"Don't worry, fellas." said Butters. "Trent Boyett did all that stuff to me before but I'm okay now. It wasn't all that bad."
"Thanks, Butters." said Cartman.
"Anytime, Eric." said Butters. Edd thinks for a while before making a decision.
"If it's okay with you, fellows. I want to try taking on one of the Team Star gangs that Cassiopeia told me about." said Edd.
"Why?" asked Eddy.
"Well, I still don't approve of Team Star interfering with the educations of our fellow students and I want to put a stop to it." said Edd. "And I haven't even started on that yet."
"So your universe's Cassiopeia wants to take down Team Star also?" asked Lincoln.
"Indeed." said Edd. "I take it the one from your universe wants to take down Team Star also."
"Yeah. Whoever this Cassiopeia person is wants me and my friends' help in taking down Team Star." said Stan.
"Totally." said Kyle.
"So can I take on a Team Star gang, Eddy?" asked Edd.
"Fine. But after that, I want to take on that gym in Artazon also." said Eddy.
"And I want to take on another Titan Pokemon." said Ed.
"Very well. After I take on the Team Star gang, we'll head for Artazon." said Edd. Lincoln turns to Eddy.
"Just so you know, the gym leader in Artazon uses grass type Pokemon, so Crocalor will definitely be a big help." said Lincoln. "And if you have any ice, bug, or flying types with you, they could help also."
"Thanks for the advice." said Eddy.
"And while we're heading for where the first Team Star gang is, we can keep an eye out for some more Gimmighoul Coins." said Edd.
"Gimmighoul Coins?" replied Lincoln. Edd takes out his Rotom Phone and brings up a picture of a Gimmighoul Roaming Form.
"These Pokemon carry coins with them that Eddy is looking for to help his Gimmighoul Chest Form evolve." said Edd. "We're not certain how many coins we need, but we're keeping an eye out for them."
"Okay." said Lincoln.
"So we all have our plans for the day?" asked Eddy.
"Yeah." said Stan.
"Well have a pleasant journey, gentlemen." said Edd.
"Thanks, dude." said Kyle.
"You, too." said Lincoln. With that, everyone leaves to prepare to continue their Treasure Hunts. Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny let their Koraidons out of their pokeballs and climbed onto them while Butters climbs onto Cartman's. They ride their Koraidons east of Mesagoza and exit through the east gate.
"Dude. We totally forgot to feed our Koraidons those Herba Mystica Sandwiches Arven made." said Kyle.
"Oh yeah. I forgot about that." said Kenny.
"I guess with the whole merging of the two universes and Trent Boyett coming here, those sandwiches slipped our minds." said Kyle.
"Well I already fed my Koraidon his." said Cartman. Stan, Kyle, and Kenny hop off their Koraidons and pulled the sandwiches out of their backpacks.
"I hope these sandwiches are still good after a day." said Stan. He, Kyle, and Kenny hold the sandwiches out towards their Koraidons mouths. After they sniffed them, they ate them out of their hands in one bite. "I guess they were still good then." Surges of energy bursts out of the Koraidons. "What did those sandwiches do for the Koraidons again, Kyle?"
"I think it gives them the ability to travel by water." replied Kyle. Kyle lets Floragato, and Fletchinder out of their pokeballs.
"What are you doing, Kyle?" asked Butter.
"Giving Floragato the Miracle Seed and Fletchinder the Sharp Beak from Delibird Presents." replied Kyle.
"Oh yeah." said Butters. Kyle gives Floragato the Miracle Seed and Fletchinder the Sharp Beak. Stan lets Quaxwell and Litleo out of their pokeballs and gives Quaxwell the Mystic Water and Litleo the Charcoal. Cartman lets Crocalor and Gyarados out of their pokeballs and gives Crocalor the Charcoal and Gyarados the Mystic Water.
Kenny lets out Shellder and Rookidee and gives Shellder the Mystic Water and Rookidee the Sharp Beak. Butters lets out Charcadet, and Skiddo. He gives Charcadet the Charcoal and Skiddo the Miracle Seed.
After that, they returned their Pokemon to their pokeballs, hopped onto the Koraidons and continued travelling east. Along the way, they find a Tera Raid den and entered it. Inside was a Pineco, which they battled, and Butters captured for his collection, also obtaining berries, and a Stardust. They trained near some ruins. Stan's Quaxwell learned Aqua Cutter, his Litleo learned Take Down and Fire Fang, and his Maschiff learned Bite, Roar, and Headbutt. Kyle's Floragato learned Seed Bomb, and his Fletchinder learned Acrobatics. Kenny's Nymble learned Bug Bite, his Shellder learned Aurora Beam, and his Capsakid learned Bullet Seed. While Kenny was training his Wooper, it suddenly froze and began glowing.
"Guys! My Wooper's evolving!" said Kenny. The others gathered near Kenny as Wooper began to grow. When he stopped glowing, he was now walking on four feet, it was bigger and longer and the branches on his head were gone. Kenny takes out his Rotom Phone to learn more about his newly evolved Wooper.
"Clodsire, the Spiny Fish Pokemon and the evolved form of Wooper. When attacked, this Pokemon will retaliate by sticking thick spines out from its body. It's a risky move that puts everything on the line." said the Rotom Phone.
"This is great!" said Kenny. "And when he evolved, he learned Amnesia." Sometime later, Kenny's Rookidee also began glowing. "Whoa! Now Rookidee's evolving!" After the glowing stopped, Kenny's Rookidee's body was a darker shade of blue; along with bigger and longer, as were his wings; his beak was longer as well also. Kenny takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at his newly evolved Pokemon.
"Corvisquire, the Raven Pokemon, and the evolved form of Rookidee. It's said that the reason behind Corvisquire's high level of intelligence is the large size of its brain relative to those of other bird Pokémon.
"Congratulations, Kenny." said Butters. Butters had his Charcadet battle Bronzors due to fire type moves being strong against steel type Pokemon. Butters picked up fragments from the Bronzors because he had a feeling he should hold on to them. Charcadet also learned Night Shade, his Skiddo learned Synthesis and Take Down, and his Tinkatink learned Sweet Kiss. They continued their way east until they reached a Pokemon Center where they stopped to have their Pokemon treated.
"So what do we do now?" asked Stan. Kyle looked around and saw a path leading to an area called South Province Area Five.
"What's over there?" asked Kyle. Stan looked to where Kyle was looking.
"I don't know." said Stan.
"Should we check it out after we get our Pokemon back?" asked Kyle.
"Sure. There could be some awesome Pokemon over there." said Stan.
"I'm in, dude." said Cartman.
"Me too, fellas." said Butters.
"Same here." said Kenny. When they got their Pokemon back, they went to South Province Area Five to explore. While they looked around, they see several kinds of Pokemon they haven't seen yet. Cartman was checking out a tall spiraling mountain when he sees some movement from some grass. He checks it out to see a small, army green, reptilian Pokemon with a blunt spike on its head, red diamond-shaped scales on its belly, diamond-holes on its torso, and a ring of plate-scales surrounding its tail. Cartman pulls out his Rotom Phone and points it at the new Pokemon.
"Larvitar, the Rock Scale Pokemon. Born deep underground, this Pokemon becomes a pupa after eating enough dirt to make a mountain." said the Rotom Phone.
"Whoa. And I thought Cartman had a big appetite." said Kyle.
"Shut up, Kyle." said Cartman. Stan remembered something about Larvitars back at the academy.
"Don't Larvitars eventually become Tyranitars?" asked Stan.
"Like the one in that movie we saw before called 'Attack of the 50-foot Tyranitar'?" replied Kenny, getting Cartman's attention.
"That Pokemon was so cool!" said Cartman as he pulls out his Gyarados' pokeball. "I'm totally catching this Pokemon."
"Go for it, Eric!" said Butters. Cartman throws Gyarados' pokeball and releases him from it.
"Okay, Gyarados. Use Brine!" said Cartman. Gyarados opens his mouth and releases a large stream of water which hits Larvitar, doing super effective damage.
"Good move, Cartman. Larvitar's are part ground and part rock; so water attacks will be very effective against them, especially with Gyarados' new Mystic Water." said Kyle. Larvitar growled as he struggled to get up. Once he does, he summons a lot of big rocks from out of nowhere and drops them on Gyarados, doing super effective damage.
"What the..." said Cartman.
"Watch it, Cartman. Gyarados is part flying type, so rock type moves are super effective against him." said Stan.
"I can't believe that Larvitar is still standing after a hit like that." said Kenny.
"It's a tough little guy, huh?" replies Butters.
"Now I really want to catch this Pokemon." said Cartman. "Gyarados, use Bite!" Gyarados lunges at Larvitar and bites down on it, making it flinch. Cartman quickly pulls a pokeball out of his pocket and throws it at the Larvitar, hitting it and sucking it in. The pokeball wiggles a few times before it clicks, indicating a successful capture.
"You did it, Eric!" said Butters. Cartman runs over to the pokeball and picks it up.
"Sweet! I caught a Larvitar!" said Cartman. The pokeball suddenly vanishes. Cartman uses his Rotom Phone to swap his Scatterbug for his new Larvitar. He also takes the time to learn about his new Larvitar. "Okay. This says my new Larvitar is a boy, he knows Tackle, Leer, Rock Throw, Payback, Bite, Scary Face, Rock Slide, and Stomping Tantrum; and he has the Guts ability which makes him stronger if he has a status condition."
"That's cool, dude." said Stan. Butters hears something walking nearby. He looks to see a brown, deerlike Pokemon. Butters takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Stantler, the Big Horn Pokemon. This Pokemon apparently used to live in much harsher enviroments, and thus it once had stronger psychic powers than it does now." said the Rotom Phone. Butters takes out Skiddo's pokeball.
"Go, Skiddo." said Butters, throwing Skiddo's pokeball and releasing her. The Stantler glares at Skiddo while surrounded by a black aura, making Skiddo slump. "Okay, Skiddo, let's catch this Stantler. Skiddo nods in response. "Use Tail Whip!" Skiddo runs at Stantler and wags her tail onto it, weakening its defense. Stantler stands up on its high legs and stomps onto Skiddo with both of its front legs. "Skiddo, Razor Leaf!" Skiddo releases leaves from her leaf mane and they hit the Stantler. The Stantler charges at Skiddo and rams her, knocking her back. "Okay, Skiddo, Leech Seed!" A brown seed shoots out of Skiddo's leaf mane, and it hits Stantler. It opens up and thin vines sprout out of it and they wrap around Stantler, draining its energy while healing Skiddo's wounds. Stantler releases a pinkish purple smog from its antlers, and it hits Skiddo. She falls asleep and collapses on the ground. "Skiddo!" Leech Seed takes effect and drains more of Stantler's energy and heals Skiddo's wounds. Stanter struggles to stay on its hooves. Butters pulls an empty pokeball out of his pocket and throws it at Stantler, hitting it and sucking it in. It wiggles around for several seconds until it stops and clicks. "Whoopee. Stantler is mine!" Stanler's pokeball vanishes. Butters uses his Rotom Phone to learn more about his new Stantler. "Okay. This says Stantler is a boy, he knows Tackle, Leer, Astonish, Hypnosis, Stomp, and Sand Attack. He also has the Intimidate ability. He then returns Skiddo to her pokeball. "You rest now, girl." After that, they went back to South Province Area Three and continued travelling east until they reached Artazon.
"Well, guys. Here we are." said Stan.
"I can't wait to have my gym battle." said Butters. He suddenly hears flapping nearby. He looks to see a red bird-like Pokemon with two lines of black feather on each of its wings. "Wow! What is that?" He takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Oricorio, the Dancing Pokemon. This Pokemon is incredibly popular, possibly because its passionate dancing is a great match with the temperament of Paldean people." said the Rotom Phone. Butters hops off Cartman's Koraidon and pulls out a pokeball.
"You going to catch this Pokemon, Butters?" asked Cartman.
"You bet." said Butters. "Let's go, Charcadet." He throws Charcadet's pokeball and releases him. Oricorio hovers in the air, facing Charcadet. "Okay, Charcadet, Fire Spin!" Charcadet releases streaks of fire from the holes in his helmet and they circle Oricorio, burning her and doing more damage thanks to Charcadet's Charcoal. "That Charcoal's really great, huh, Charcadet." Charcadet nods in response. Oricorio flaps its wings and unleashes a pair of blue energy blades that form an X and they hit Charcadet, knocking him back. "You okay, Charcadet?" Charcadet nods. "Good. Now use Ember!" Charcadet shoots bits of fire out of his helmet holes and they hits Oricorio. It suddenly becomes covered in a thin layer of fire.
"Great work. Now Oricorio is burned." said Kenny.
"So Oricorio will get hurt repeatedly and its attack will be weakened?" asked Butters.
"Looks like you've been studying, Butters." said Cartman. Butters smiles. Oricorio flies at Charcadet and pecks him.
"Charcadet, Clear Smog!" said Butters. Charcadet unleashes streams of white smog out of his helmet holes and they hit Oricorio, making it fall to the ground. Butters quickly takes an empty pokeball out of his pocket and throws it at the Oricorio, hitting it and sucking it in. The pokeball wiggled around for a few seconds until it stops and clicks and stops, indicating Oricorio's capture. Butters picks it up. "Oh boy. I caught an Oricorio!" The pokeball vanished due to Butters already having six pokemon on his team. He uses his Rotom Phone to exchange Oricorio for his Deerling. After that, he uses his Rotom Phone to learn more about Oricorio. "Okay. This says my Oricorio is a girl, she knows Pound, Growl, Peck, Helping Hand, Air Cutter, and Baton Pass. She has an ability called Dancer which when Oricorio does a dancing move, another one will immediately follow. Dancing moves?"
"You see, Butters. There are some moves Pokemon do that involved dancing." said Kyle. "For example, there's a move called Feather Dance. That move can weaken an opposing Pokemon's attack strength."
"Wow!" said Butters. The boys then walk over to the Pokemon Center where they give the nurse their Pokemon. While they waited, Butters took the time to sell his Stardust. He also bought two pokeball. The boys chatted happily with each other while eating lunch until the nurse announced to them that their Pokemon were healed. After retrieving their Pokemon, they entered Artazon with the intention to challenge the Artazon Gym for their second badges.
