The Treasure Hunt Continues
Once they got the notification from the Mr. Clavells that the Treasure Hunts were continuing, everyone started planning what they were going to do next.
"So what are you guys going to do next for your Treasure Hunts?" asked Stan. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and brings up the map of gym locations.
"Well there's a gym in Cascarrafa that I haven't challenged yet. I'll head there next to try and earn my next gym badge." said Lincoln. Naranja Nemona smiles at Lincoln's idea.
"Good thinking. I really want you to earn all your gym badges so we can battle at the Pokemon League." said Naranja Nemona. She and the Uva Nemona then turn to walk away.
"Where are you two going?" asked Stan.
"We made plans to have a practice battle together to prepare for the Paldea League competition." said Uva Nemona.
"That sounds like a good idea. Have fun you two." said Edd. The Nemonas then walk off, leaving the Eds, Lincoln, Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny, and Butters to themselves.
"So what are you guys going to do now?" Lincoln asked.
"Well." Stan began to say. "Before me, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny deal with our 'little problem' tomorrow, we're gonna head for Artazon City and take on the gym there."
"Yeah." said Kyle. Cartman and Kenny nod in response.
"Don't worry, fellas." said Butters. "Trent Boyett did all that stuff to me before but I'm okay now. It wasn't all that bad."
"Thanks, Butters." said Cartman.
"Anytime, Eric." said Butters. Edd thinks for a while before making a decision.
"If it's okay with you, fellows. I want to try taking on one of the Team Star gangs that Cassiopeia told me about." said Edd.
"Why?" asked Eddy.
"Well I still don't approve of Team Star interfering with the educations of our fellow students and I want to put a stop to it." said Edd. "And I haven't even started on that yet."
"So your universe's Cassiopeia wants to take down Team Star also?" asked Lincoln.
"Indeed." said Edd. "I take it the one from your universe wants to take down Team Star also."
"Yeah. Whoever this Cassiopeia person is wants me and my friends' help in taking down Team Star." said Stan.
"Totally." said Kyle.
"So can I take on a Team Star gang, Eddy?" asked Edd.
"Fine. But after that, I want to take on that gym in Artazon also." said Eddy.
"And I want to take on another Titan Pokemon." said Ed.
"Very well. After I take on the Team Star gang, we'll head for Artazon." said Edd. Lincoln turns to Eddy.
"Just so you know, the gym leader in Artazon uses grass type Pokemon, so Crocalor will definitely be a big help." said Lincoln. "And if you have any ice, bug, or flying types with you, they could help also."
"Thanks for the advice." said Eddy.
"And while we're heading for where the first Team Star gang is, we can keep an eye out for some more Gimmighoul Coins." said Edd.
"Gimmighoul Coins?" replied Lincoln. Edd takes out his Rotom Phone and brings up a picture of a Gimmighoul Roaming Form.
"These Pokemon carry coins with them that Eddy is looking for to help his Gimmighoul Chest Form evolve." said Edd. "We're not certain how many coins we need, but we're keeping an eye out for them."
"Okay." said Lincoln.
"So we all have our plans for the day?" asked Eddy.
"Yeah." said Stan.
"Well have a pleasant journey, gentlemen." said Edd.
"Thanks, dude." said Kyle.
"You, too." said Lincoln. With that, everyone leaves to prepare to continue their Treasure Hunts. Lincoln returns to the academy and heads to his dorm room. Once there, he enters it and grabs his backpack. He takes the pokeballs he bought and puts them into it. As he does, he notices the Herba Mystica sandwich that Arven made yesterday. "Oh. I guess I forgot to give my Koraidon this yesterday with what happened then. I'll give it to him after I leave Mesagoza." Once he made sure he had everything he needed, he leaves his dorm room, exits the academy, and heads for Mesagoza's west gate. Lincoln also noticed looks that some obvious Iono fans were giving him. Putting it out of his mind for now, he exits Mesagoza and enters the South Province Area Two.
Once outside the city, he releases his Crocalor, Finizen, Floette, and Koraidon from their pokeballs. He then takes out the Herba Mystica sandwich from his backpack and holds it up to Koraidon.
"I hope you don't mind that it's a day old and it's been in my backpack for a while." Lincoln says to Koraidon. He got his answer when Koraidon sniffs it once and eats it out of his hand in one bite. "I guess that answers that question. If I remember what Professor Sada told me, you should be able to travel over water." Suddenly, a surge of energy erupts from Koraidon, making Lincoln shield his eyes. He then looks around to make sure that there are no shattered universal boundaries. Once he confirmed there wasn't, he gives his Crocalor the Charcoal he bought, his Finizen the Mystic Water, and his Floette the Miracle Seed; then returns them to their pokeballs, and hops onto Koraidon.
"Okay, Koraidon. Let's get going to Cascarrafa." said Lincoln. Koraidon roars in response and starts travelling down the path. As he does, he spots a Gimmighoul Roaming Form. He remembers that Eddy was looking for the coins they carried, so he sneaks up on it and grabs ten coins from it. He soon passes through Cortondo and continues to head west and enters the area called West Province Area One. While there, he takes the time to train up his Pokemon for his upcoming gym battle. His Crocalor learned Roar and Flamethrower, his Pawmot learned Thunder Wave and Wild Charge, his Lycnaroc learned Roar, his Floette learned Grassy Terrain, his Toedscool learned Hex, and Finizen learned Acrobatics. He also took the time to catch a Mankey, a Capsakid, and a Phanpy for his collection. He also took the opportunity to do some Tera Raid battles. During those he captured a Growlithe, a Mareep, a Meowth, and a Gastly; along with collecting some Pearls and bags of Stardust. At around noon, he decided to make some lunch for himself and his Pokemon.
"We've done good so far you guys." said Lincoln. His Pokemon smile in response. "But I feel we have to be really prepared for the next gym." His Pokemon nod in response. As they ate, Lincoln noticed his Pokemon looked a little dirty, so he decides to give them all baths, while getting himself wet in the process which didn't bother him at all. Once they were all fed and rested, they continued on their way.
When they were over halfway to Cascarrafa, Lincoln sees another Tera Raid den nearby and decides to check it out. He enters it and is blinded by a bright light. When the light faded, he opened his eyes. In front of him was a blue, serpent-like Pokemon with fins on the side of its head, and crystal flowers on top of its head. Lincoln looked in awe at the Pokemon.
"Whoa." said Lincoln. He takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Dratini, the Dragon Pokemon. It shed many layers of skin as it grows larger. During this process, it is protected by a rapid waterfall." said the Rotom Phone. Lincoln looks back at the Dratini.
"I found...a DRATINI!" said Lincoln with excitement. He quickly pulls a pokeball out of his pocket. "I am not passing the opportunity to catch one. Judging by the crystal flowers, its Tera Form is a grass type, so I have just the Pokemon for the job. Crocalor, go!" He throws Crocalor's pokeball and releases him. "Okay, Crocalor, let's try your new Flamethrower!" Crocalor opens his mouth and releases a stream of fire and it hits Dratini, doing super effective damage and more thanks to Crocalor's new Charcoal. "Normally, fire type moves aren't very effective against dragon types, but since its Tera Form's a grass type, they'll work real well against it." The Dratini's tail becomes surrounded by a spiral of water and hits Crocalor with it, doing super effective damage. "I think that was Aqua Tail! Crocalor, Bite!" Crocalor runs at Dratini and bites its neck, making it flinch. "Now use Flamethrower again!" Crocalor unleashes another stream of fire out of its mouth and it hits Dratini, causing super effective damage. Dratini was surrounded by energy, and it forms into a dragon and flies at Crocalor and rams into him. "I think that was Dragon Rush! Now I REALLY want to catch this Pokemon!" Lincoln takes out his Tera Orb and throws it at Crocalor. Crystal pillars surrounded Crocalor and they shatter, revealing him in his Tera Form. "Crocalor, Flamethrower one more time!" Crocalor unleashes an even stronger Flamethrower and it hits Dratini, causing super effective critical damage to it. Its crystal skin and flowers shatter and Dratini stumbles around. Lincoln quickly takes an empty pokeball out of his backpack and throws it at Dratini, becoming crystallized as it did. It hits the Dratini and sucks it in. The ball wiggles a few times before it clicks, indicating a successful capture. Lincoln rushes over to the pokeball and picks it up. "I caught a Dratini!"
The crystal cavern shines brightly, and Lincoln finds himself outside, back in the West Province Area One. He sees some berries, along with a red, four-pointed, stone nearby and he picks them up. The pokeball in Lincoln's hand glows and disappears.
"Oh yeah. I can only have six Pokemon with me." said Lincoln. He takes out his Rotom Phone and uses it to exchange his Toedscool for his new Dratini. Once he does, he also uses his Rotom Phone to check out his new Dratini's information. "This says that my Dratini's a girl, she knows Wrap, Leer, Twister, Thunder Wave, Dragon Tail, Agility, Slam, Aqua Tail, and Dragon Rush. She also has the Marvel Scale ability which increses her defense if she has a status conditon." He then lets his new Dratini who looks around at her surroundings before looking at Lincoln.
"Hi, Dratini; I'm Lincoln." said Lincoln as he holds out his hand. "I'm sorry if I was too rough with you during our battle. You are a very strong Pokemon, and I hope we can be good partners and friends." Dratini sniffs at Lincoln's hand before she nuzzles it with the top of her head, making Lincoln laugh. "Welcome to the team, Dratini."
Once introductions were done, he returns Dratini to her pokeball, hops onto his Koraidon and continues towards Cascarrafa. As he nears his destination, an unexpected obstacle stood in his way; a giant wall is completely blocking off the road.
"What the..." said Lincoln. He looks around and sees a Pokemon Center nearby. He walks over to it and gives his Pokemon to the nurse.
"I'll have your Pokemon healed in no time." said the nurse.
"Thank you, ma'am." said Lincoln. He looks over at the big wall and decides to ask the nurse about it. "Do you know what the deal with that big wall is?" The nurse looks over at it with a frown.
"That wall was put up by Team Star." said the nurse, surprising Lincoln.
"Team Star?" replied Lincoln. He then takes out his Rotom Phone and looks at the map of Team Star base locations that Cassiopeia gave him a few days ago. He sees that one of the bases was in the area.
"Someone needs to do something about those hooligans. That wall is preventing academy students who are trying to challenge the Cascarrafa Gym from getting there." said the nurse.
"Yeah." Lincoln responds. As his Pokemon are being healed, he goes to the PokeMart next to it and sells his Pearls and Stardust. He also pulls out the red stone he got after his Tera Raid with Dratini and shows it to the PokeMart clerk.
"Do you know what this is, sir?" Lincoln asked the store clerk.
"Ooh. That's a Star Piece." said the store clerk.
"A Star Piece?" replied Lincoln.
"Yeah. They're very valuable and I can buy it from you for 6,000 pokedollars." said the store clerk, making Lincoln's eyes light up.
"Sold!" said Lincoln. After Lincoln gets his money from the clerk, he puts it away and waits for his Pokemon to be healed. An hour later, he gets them back.
"I've recharged your Tera Orb as well." said the nurse as she hands him his Tera Orb.
"Thank you." said Lincoln as he puts his Tera Orb in his pocket.
"What will you do now, young man?" asked the nurse. Lincoln looks at the wall blocking his way to Cascarrafa.
"I have something to take care of." said Lincoln as he walks off.
"Be careful, and try to avoid Team Star; they're bad news." said the nurse. Lincoln says nothing as he walks off.
"Looks like I have another reason to take down the Team Star gang that's here." said Lincoln.
