Team Star Segin Squad Base
Lincoln checks out the area, looking for the Team Star gang that made the wall that was blocking the road to Cascarrafa. As he explores the area, he notices Ed, Edd, and Eddy walking down a path.
"Hey, guys." said Lincoln. The Eds turn to look at him.
"Greetings, Lincoln." said Edd.
"Hi!" said Ed.
"What are you doing here? Weren't you going to that Cascarrafa place to challenge the gym?" asked Eddy.
"I was, but the Team Star gang that's supposed to be around here has a wall blocking the road there so I can't really get to the gym right now." said Lincoln.
"Well, that's not nice of Team Star to block an entire road for no appropriate reason!" said Edd.
"I know, right?!" said Lincoln. Just then, Lincoln and Edd's Rotom Phones fly out of their pockets.
"Hello, Double-D." said a familiar voice.
"Cassiopeia?" replied Edd and Lincoln.
"Oh. I see you met one of the boys my counterpart has recruited to help take down Team Star." said Cassiopeia.
"That is correct." said Edd.
"Well, if he's willing to help take down Team Star, then I'm more than glad to accept his asssistance." said Cassiopeia.
"Yeah. With recent events, I'm sure it's safe to assume that this Team Star gang's numbers have actually doubled." said Lincoln.
"You would assume correctly...What's your name?" asked Cassiopeia.
"My name is Lincoln Loud." replied Lincoln.
"I'll remember that." said Cassiopeia.
"So, what's the strategy for bringing down this gang of hooligans?" asked Edd.
"Yeah. I really want to get to Cascarrafa and their wall blocking the road there isn't making it easy for me to get there." said Lincoln.
"Very well. The plan is simple. You two will enter the base and battle with all the gang members inside." said Cassiopeia.
"That sounds like a lot of work." said Lincoln. "But I guess if I want that wall gone, then I have no choice."
"Agreed. But battling all those trainers one by one sounds like it would take a lot of time." said Edd.
"It won't be one after another, it will be all at once." said Cassiopeia, surprising the boys.
"All at once?!" exclaimed Lincoln.
"It's a way of battling they call a Star Barrage. They usually divide themselves into smaller groups and come at you altogether, and the area inside is pretty big so there's enough room to do that. I suggest having up to three of your Pokemon out with out to avoid making things too crowded. Defeat enough of them and it should draw out Giacomo, their leader. He's a clever one and he made the Team Star music soundtrack." said Cassiopeia.
"So he likes music, huh?" said Lincoln.
"What's this Team Star gang like?" asked Edd.
"They mainly use dark type Pokemon." replied Cassiopeia.
"Then I suppose my Pawmot and Floette should be helpful here." said Lincoln.
"And my Quaxwell knows Low Sweep, I have a Spidops with some bug moves, and my Swablu has a fairy type move." said Edd.
"And we should also see if their Pokemon are dual types as well." said Lincoln.
"An excellent idea, Lincoln." said Edd. "It's quite refreshing to work with someone who puts thought into strategies for a change."
"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?!" asked Eddy.
"It seems you two have your battle plan ready." said Cassiopeia. Their Rotom Phones suddenly fly back into their pockets. Edd turns to his friends.
"So what are you two going to do while Lincoln and I deal with these hooligans?" asked Edd.
"We're gonna look around for some Gimmighoul coins and maybe do some Tera Raid battles to get more stuff to sell." said Eddy.
"I want to find more Pokemon!" said Ed.
"Very well. I'll look for you after Lincoln and I deal with Team Star." said Edd.
"Yeah, yeah." said Eddy.
"Hey, Eddy. Before you go off, I have something for you." said Lincoln.
"What?" asked Eddy. Lincoln reaches into his backpack and pulls out some Gimmighoul coins, making Eddy's eyes widen. "Where did you find those?"
"On the way here, I found a few Gimmighouls and snatched their coins for you." said Lincoln as he hands Eddy the coins.
"Whoa! Thanks, Lincoln! You're a real pal!" said Eddy.
"No problem. I just felt bad about taking half your money after our Pokemon battle yesterday and wanted to make it up to you." said Lincoln.
"This makes up for it." said Eddy as he clutches the coins in his hands. He and Ed soon walk off, leaving Edd and Lincoln alone.
"Well, Lincoln. Should we get started?" asked Edd.
"Yes. The sooner we take down this base, the sooner I can get to Cascarrafa." said Lincoln. Lincoln and Edd walk down to the base. In front of it were two members of Team Star. One was a female wearing purple shorts, and the other one was a male wearing orange shorts. They both see Lincoln and Edd approaching.
"Whoa, whoa! Hold it you!" exclaimed the female member.
"Up ahead is the base of operations for Team Star's Dark crew." said the male member.
"Well your base of operations is in the way of my gym battle in Cascarrafa!" said Lincoln.
"We are the Segin Squad." said the male member.
"We don't take kindly to kids sniffing around our turf." said the female member.
"Well I don't take kindly of people interfering with the education of the students of our academies!" said Edd.
"If you two don't turn around and leave, we'll send you two packing." said the male member.
"Hold it. I'm just going on a hunch here, but aren't you Lincoln Loud?" asked the female member.
"So what if I am?" asked Lincoln.
"You're the one declaring war on Team Star." replied the female member.
"Hey. Aren't you the kid that Iono kissed a couple days ago?" asked the male member. Lincoln blushes in response.
"How many people know about that?" asked Lincoln.
"Whoa. That kid got kissed by Iono?" asked the female member.
"Yeah. Lots of people are still talking about it." said the male member. The female member turns back towards Lincoln and Edd.
"Well, it doesn't matter who you and your friend there are, you're not getting through here, so buzz off or you'll get thrashed by me in battle. So, what's it going to be?"
"Well, if I have to choose between leaving and battling you, I think I'll pick option B." said Lincoln.
"Sassy kids like you are the worst!" exclaimed the female member. "All right, prepared to get stomped into the dirt!" She takes out a pokeball. "Come on out, Murkrow!" She throws the pokeball and releases a black, bird like Pokemon that looked like it was wearing a witch's hat.
"What's that Pokemon?" asked Lincoln. He takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Murkrow, the Darkness Pokemon. Feared and loathed by many, it is believed to bring misfortune to all those who see it at night." said the Rotom Phone. Lincoln takes out a pokeball.
"Go, Floette!" said Lincoln, throwing Floette's pokeball and releasing her. "Floette, Fairy Wind!" Floette spins her flower and releases a gust of pink wind and it hits Murkrow, hitting it and causing super effective damage.
"Murkrow, Wing Attack!" said the female member. Murkrow flies at Floette and strikes her with its wing, knocking her back.
"Floette, Draining Kiss!" said Lincoln. Floette leaps at Murkrow and kisses it on the beak, healing Floette's wounds, and knocking Murkrow out
"No, Murkrow!" exclaimed the female Team Star member.'
"Great work, Floette!" said Lincoln. Floette spins with joy.
"You were magnificent, Lincoln." said Edd. The Team Star member returned Murkrow to its pokeball. She throws pokedollars at Lincoln's feet.
"How could I lose to a kid?!" asked the female member. Lincoln shrugged.
"We gotta warn everybody!" said the male member.
"Yeah. Hasta-la-vis-starrrr!" said the female member as she and the male member run into the base. Edd looks at Lincoln.
"Shall we?" asked Edd.
"After you." said Lincoln. They approach the gate and see a bell on it. "It would be rude to just barge in."
"Agreed. Let's ring the bell first." said Edd. Lincoln pushes the button below the bell and it sounds off an alarm. The gates suddenly open and an announcement was made over a PA system.
'Attention! We have a couple of jumped-up kids who think they can raid our base! Teach them a lesson they will never forget!" said the Team Star member who was talking over the PA system. All of a sudden, several Team Star members come out and release several kinds of Pokemon; such as Stunkies, Sandiles, Pawniards, Murkrows, Zoruas, and Houndours. They all start charging towards Lincoln and Edd.
"Let's do this!" said Lincoln. He releases his Floette, Pawmot, and Finizen.
"Indeed!" said Edd as he releases his Quaxwell, Swablu, and Spidops. Lincoln notices Spidop's coloring.
"Is your Spidops a shiny Pokemon?" asked Lincoln.
"Yes. He was the first Pokemon I captured." said Edd. They turn back towards the Team Star Pokemon.
"Finizen; you take the Houndours and Sandiles. Floette; you take the Zoruas, Murkrows, and help Finizen with the Sandiles. Pawmot, help Floette with the Murkrows and take on the Pawniards and Stunkies!" Lincoln ordered.
"Quaxwell, you take on the Houndours and Sandiles also." said Edd. "Spidops, you takes care of the Zoruas and assist Finizen with the Sandiles, and Swablu, you take care of the Zoruas also, as well as the Stunkies." All their Pokemon nodded and charged at Team Star's Pokemon. Meanwhile, near some ruins, Eddy was on top of a tower near some ruins where he has his Luxio uses Bite on a Gimmighoul Chest Form, knocking it out. Eddy gathers all the coins from it.
"And that's more coins for my Gimmighoul." said Eddy. Ed looks back in the direction of the Team Star base.
"How do you think Double-D is doing, Eddy?" asked Ed.
"I'm sure he's fine. Now help me look for some more Gimmighoul coins." said Eddy. Ed shrugs and looks in the ruins. Back at the Team Star base, things were getting intense. Lincoln's Finizen used his Aqua Jet attack to take out several Houndours, his Pawmot used his Spark attack to take down a Stunky, and his Floette used Fairy Wind to take out some Zoruas. Edd's Swablu used Dragon Breath on a Stunky, his Spidops used Bug Bite on a Sandile, and his Quaxwell used Low Sweep on a Pawniard. After a few minutes of battling, the sound of two engines revving makes the remaining Team Star members run off.
"ENOUGH!" said a pair of similar voices. Out of nowhere, a large, brightly lit vehicle moves up onto a giant platform at the center of the base. On the vehicle were two identicals males holding laptops. They both have black hair and wearing white caps with multiple video-related symbols on them, white and black headphones, black jackets and pants, and white, green, and red shoes. However, one of the males was wearing a yellow vest under his jacket while the other one had a purple vest under his. Lincoln and Edd were shielding their eyes from the vehicle's lights.
"Quite the luminous vehicle those gentlemen have." said Edd.
"And they're supposed to be the 'Dark Crew'?" asked Lincoln.
"Hey! Who do you punks think you are?" asked the male with the yellow vest.
"You don't go barging into our base and think you can get away with it!" said the male with the purple vest.
"We're here to stop you ruffians from interfering with the educations of our academies' students." said Edd.
"Just like that wall you have blocking the road nearby is interfering with me doing my gym battle." said Lincoln.
"Look, kids. I'm Giacomo, and this is my partner...Giacomo." said the Giacomo with the yellow vest we'll just call Naranja Giacomo.
"Yeah. We joined forces to teach the punks at the Uva and Naranja Academies about respect." said the Giacomo with the purple vest we'll just call Uva Giacomo.
"Yeah? Well, you have us to deal with right now!" said Lincoln.
"Indeed." said Edd. The two Giacomoes look at each other and take out a pokeball. They throw them, each releasing a Pawniard. Edd and Lincoln look at each other and nod before they each throw a pokeball. Lincoln releases his Pawmot, and Edd releases his Quaxwell.
"Okay, Pawmot! Use Arm Thrust!" said Lincoln. Pawmot jumps up onto the vehicle and starts striking Pawniard multiple times, doing super effective damage.
"Quaxwell, Low Sweep!" said Edd. Quaxwell jumps up onto the vehicle and swings his leg at Pawniard and hits it, doing super effective damage and lowering its speed.
"Oh yeah?!" replied Naranja Giacomo. "Pawniard, use Metal Claw!" Pawniard's blade arm glowed white and it hits Pawmot, but not doing a lot of damage due to him being a dual fighting and electric type. But a surge of power flows up from Pawniard, increasing its power.
"Pawniard, use Aerial Ace!" said Uva Giacomo. Pawniard flies towards Quaxwell while surrounded by white streaks of energy and rams into him, knocking him back.
"Pawmot, use Spark!" said Lincoln. Pawmot becomes surrounded by electricity and rams Naranja Giacomo's Pawmot, knockng it out.
"Quaxwell, Aqua Cutter!" said Edd. Quaxwell swings his wing, unleashes a blade made of water and it hits Uva Giacomo's Pawniard, knocking it out. Edd looks at the Giacomoes. "I believe we are victorious." Both Giacomoes return their Pawniards to their pokeballs.
"It's not over!" said Naranja Giacomo. The vehicle suddenly shakes up, making Pawmot and Quaxwell fall off.
"What the..." said Lincoln. He then notices the two engines on the vehicle that looked like it had eyes that were looking at them. Out of curiosity, Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the two engines.
"Revavroom the Multi-Cyl Pokemon, and the evolved form of Varoom. It creates a gas out of poison and minerals from rocks. It then detonates the gas in its cylinders— now numbering eight—to generate energy." said the Rotom Phone.
"Those things are Pokemon?" asked Lincoln.
"Do they like being treated as engines?" asked Edd.
"They don't mind." said the Giacomoes. They then look back towards Edd and Lincoln.
"Well, if we have to, we'll have to battle them." said Lincoln.
"Agreed." said Edd.
"Okay, Pawmot! Use Charge!" said Lincoln. Pawmot started gathering energy and increasing his special defense.
"Quaxwell, use Work Up!" said Edd. Quaxwell becomes surrounded by a light red aura and his muscles bulk up.
"You think we're scared?!" asked the Giacomoes.
"If you're not, you should be." said Lincoln.
"Oh yeah? Revavroom, use Gyro Ball!" said the Naranja Giacomo. His Revavroom pops out of the vehicle and spins around like a ball before slamming into Pawmot, not doing a lot of damage.
"Now it's my turn!" said the Uva Giacomo. "Revavroom, use Sludge!" His Revavroom releases a glob of sludge from its body which hits Quaxwell. After that, Quaxwell started to look ill.
"Oh dear. Quaxwell is poisoned!" said Edd.
"Hey! That wasn't nice!" said Lincoln.
"Well do something about it then, punk!" said the Naranja Giacomo.
"You're gonna regret telling me to do that!" said Lincoln. "Pawmot, use Wild Charge!" Pawmot growls ferociously as he becomes engulfed in electricity. He then leaps towards Naranja Giacomo's Revavroom and slams into it with incredible force. Pawmot lands back onto the ground and flinches as he grabs his shoulder. "Pawmot! I'm sorry I made you do that! I forgot that Wild Charge hurts you also! Are you okay, buddy?" Pawmot looks back at Lincoln, grins, and gives him a thumbs up. Lincoln lets out a sigh of relief. Naranja Giacomo watched as his Revavroom shakes up, lets out a lot of smoke, then passes out.
"NOOO!" said Naranja Giacomo.
"Quaxwell, Aqua Jet!" said Edd. Quaxwell becomes surrounded by water and flies into Uva Giacomo's Revavroom, damaging it.
"Revavaroom, Spin Out!" said Uva Giacomo. Revavaroom pops out of the vehicle and does an aerial somersault and slams into Quaxwell, but not doing much damage to him.
"You want to finish this one off, Double-D?" asked Lincoln.
"It will be my pleasure." said Edd. "Quaxwell, Aqua Cutter!" Quaxwell releases a blade of water and it hits Revavaroom and it passes out.
"Revavaroom, no!" exclaimed Uva Giacomo. Lincoln and Edd turn towards each other.
"We did it!" cheered Lincoln.
"We certainly did." said Edd. The two Giacomoes slump down in defeat.
"Well, that's that." said the Naranja Giacomo. He and the Uva Giacomo decide to tell Lincoln and Edd about their past almost two years ago about they and the leaders of Team Star started to make some rules for their gang. They also revealed how they used to be the student council presidents of their respective academies and that everyone started disliking them after that because of all the strict rules they made everyone follow a lot of overly strict rules like 'male students' hair must not be further than 1.8 inches below the nape.' But Giacomo always looked out for his fellow Team Star members and knew what was best for them, which Lincoln can sort of relate to because he always looks out for his friends.
"But our boss days are over. You two beat us fair and square." said the Uva Giacomo.
"So, take our Star Badges." said Naranja Giacomo as he and the Uva Giacomo hand Lincoln and Edd each a badge that had a symbol that looked like an eye. They also took a picture of them shaking hands.
"Your Pokemon are crazy strong!" said the Uva Giacomo.
"Yeah, man." said the Naranja Giacomo.
"Thank you, gentlemen." said Edd.
"But you know, you could've just toned down on the rules a bit. Maybe if you'd have done that, people would've started liking you again." said Lincoln.
"I guess." said the Giacomoes.
"And do you think you could take down that wall that's blocking the road to Cascarrafa?" asked Lincoln.
"Sure, kid. It'll be gone by tomorrow morning." said the Giacomoes.
"Thanks. I really want to do my gym battle there." said Lincoln. After that, Lincoln and Edd exit the base. Their Rotom Phones suddenly fly out of their pockets.
"Congratulations on taking down the Dark Crew, you two." said Cassiopeia.
"Thanks. We were glad to help." said Edd.
"But I feel kind of bad for the Giacomoes. They only ended up the way they are because they were trying too hard as student council presidents." said Lincoln.
"I suppose so." said Cassiopeia. "Anyway, I'll transfer some funds to your accounts and send someone over to give you some materials to make some TMs with." said Cassiopeia. After Edd and Lincoln got a notification on their Rotom Phones about the funds being recieved, Cassiopeia ends the call, and their Rotom Phones fly back into their pockets. A minute later, Penny walks over to them.
"Hi. Penny." said Lincoln. Penny looks at Lincoln with surprise.
"How do you know my name?!" asked Penny. Lincoln then remembered the current state of Paldea.
"Are you the Penny from the Uva Academy universe by any chance?" asked Lincoln.
"Oh, right. Everyone has a double. Yes, I'm from the Uva Academy." said the Penny we'll call the Uva Penny.
"Did Cassiopeia send you?" asked Edd.
"Hi, Double-D." said Uva Penny. "Yes. Cassiopeia sent me with some TM materials and some blueprints for new kinds of them you can use if you want." After she gives Lincoln and Edd their reward, she turns and runs off. Edd turns to Lincoln.
"Well, it was a pleasure working with you, Lincoln." said Edd.
"Right back at you, Double-D." said Lincoln. They both shake hands.
"So, what will you do now?" asked Edd. Lincoln looks up at the sky and sees it was getting dark.
"I guess I'll bring my Pokemon to the Pokemon Center near here and get them treated. After that we'll have some dinner, and then get some sleep." said Lincoln.
"A fine idea. It has been a long day." said Edd. "I'm going to find my friends."
"Okay. Maybe we'll see each other soon." said Lincoln.
"Indeed." said Edd. They then went their separate ways for now to continue their Treasure Hunts. Lincoln heads back to the nearby Pokemon Center and gives the nurse his Pokemon. Once he gets them back, he makes dinner for them and himself, sets up his tent, and goes to sleep.
