Cascarrafa and Asado Desert
The next morning, Lincoln wakes up and makes breakfast for himself and his Pokemon. As they ate, Lincoln notices the wall from yesterday was gone.
"Man, I gotta give those Team Star guys credit; they work fast." Lincoln says to himself. Once they finished eating, Lincoln takes down his tent and puts it away, returns all his Pokemon, except Koraidon, back to their pokeballs, hops onto Koraidon, and rides toward Cascarrafa. He soon reaches the city and enters. As he looks around for the Pokemon League building, something catches his eye; another Delibird Presents store.
"I wonder what sort of things they sell there?" Lincoln asked. He enters the store and looks around. As he scans the store's shelves, he sees Magnets on one shelf. He looks for a store employee and asks about them. The employee explained that a Pokemon that's holding one of them will have the power of their electrical attacks increased. Deciding that would be useful for his Pawmot, he grabs one off the shelf. As he continues to look, he spots a shelf that had some large fangs on it. He finds out that they were Dragon Fangs and they power up the dragon type moves of the Pokemon that's holding one of them. Thinking that would help his Dratini, he grabs one of them. He decides to buy some more pokeballs for himself as well. He then goes to the front counter and purchases the items he grabbed.
"Thank you for shopping at the Cascarrafa Delibird Presents store. Have a nice day." said the store clerk.
"Thank you." said Lincoln. "By the way; do you know where the Pokemon League building is?"
"Just head left after you exit the store, then take the lift to the upper level and you'll find it." said the clerk.
"Thank you, sir." said Lincoln. With that, he exits the store. Following the clerk's directions, Lincoln has arrived at Cascarrafa's Pokemon League building.
"Vaultin' Veluza! I'm late! I'm late!" someone yelled. Lincoln looks to see a large bald man with a white and navy-blue monobrow and beard, wearing a large blue apron with multiple pockets over a white, short sleeved dress shirt, white pants, and white shoes running out of the Pokemon League building and past Lincoln. A female staff member runs out of the building.
"Kofu, wait!" said the woman. She looks at a wallet that had a Venonat design on it she's holding. "How am I going to return this to him now? I can't ask the other Kofu to do it because he's in Medali at that Treasury Eatery restaurant."
"Is there a problem, ma'am?" asked Lincoln, getting the woman's attention.
"Yes, actually. That man that just ran out of the building is the Cascarrafa gym leader, Kofu." said the staff member.
"Really?" asked Lincoln as he looks in the direction that Kofu ran in.
"Yes." said the staff member. "Hey. Are you a gym challenger?"
"Yes I am. I'm here to challenge Kofu to a gym battle." said Lincoln.
"This is perfect." said the staff member. "Can you find Kofu and return his wallet to him? I'll make it your Gym Test."
"Sure." said Lincoln. The staff member hands Lincoln the wallet. The staff member points to the west side of Cascarrafa.
"Kofu went to a port city called Porto Marinada to attend an auction. To get there, you'll need to pass through the Asado Desert. Once you exit through the northern pass, head west and you'll reach Porto Marinada shortly." said the staff member. "But be careful. There's a very large and powerful Pokemon there."
'Large and powerful? Could it be a Titan Pokemon?' Lincoln asked himself. 'I'll worry about it later.'
"Young man?" said the staff member as she noticed it looked like Lincoln's mind was elsewhere. Lincoln snaps back to reality.
"Sorry." said Lincoln. "Don't worry. I'll give Kofu his wallet back."
"Thank you." said the staff member. Lincoln takes the lift back down to the lower level of Cascarrafa and walks towards the west gate.
Meanwhile, a few miles on the ocean west of Porto Marinada, Leonard's fishing boat was approaching with him at the steering wheel looking ahead.
"Well, we're almost there." said Gramps. As he watches the ocean, he sees the Paldea Region, covered in what appeared to be some sort of blurry dome. 'What is with that strange dome?' Gramps thinks to himself. The boat reaches the dome and starts to pass through it, causing it to shake a little bit, and makes him feel a little tingly all over. Down below deck, the Loud sisters, Clyde, Ronnie Anne, Bobby, and Sam were packing provisions for when they arrive, and they suddenly felt the boat shake, and feel all tingly as well.
"Whoa." said Luna. "Did you guys feel that?"
"Yeah." said Lori. Out of curiosity, Lisa takes out some sort of scanner and uses it to analyze everyone. She looks at the screen to see the scan's results.
"Hmm. We all seem to be just fine. Nothing out of the ordinary." said LIsa.
"Okay, if you say so, Lisa." said Lori. After that, they all climb up onto the deck with Lori carrying Lily up with her. Gramps turns as he hears everyone climbing up.
"Ahoy, my little minnows and guests!" said Gramps.
"Ahoy, Gramps." said Lana. Gramps points towards the Paldea Region.
"There it is everyone. The Paldea Region!" said Gramps. Everyone gets excited.
"Finally! We're almost there!" said Luna.
"I can't wait to get off this boat." said Lola. "It smells like chum."
"I liked it." said Lana.
"Of course, you would." said Lola. They all look towards the Paldea Region with looks of resolve.
"Lincoln. We're almost there." said Luan. Meanwhile in the Asado Desert, Lincoln was riding on Koraidon. As he does, he sees a tumbleweed rolling by. As Lincoln watches it, it suddenly stops in front of Lincoln. Upon closer inspection, Lincoln saw a pair of black eyes in the tumbleweed, looking at him. Lincoln realizes that the tumbleweed wasn't a tumbleweed. He takes out the Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Bramblin, the Tumbleweed Pokemon. A soul unable to move on to the afterlife was blown around by the wind until it got tangled up with dried grass and became a Pokémon." said the Rotom Phone.
"I think I'll capture this Pokemon." said Lincoln as he pulls Crocalor's pokeball out of his pocket. "Crocalor, go!" He throws Crocalor's pokeball and releases him. "Okay, Crocalor, use Flamethrower!" Crocalor opens his mouth and releases a stream of fire and it blasts the Bramblin, dealing super effective damage. Lincoln takes an empty pokeball out of his backpack and throws it at the Bramblin, hitting it and sucking it in. After it wiggled around for a couple seconds, it clicks, indicating Bramblin's capture. "Yeah! Bramblin is mine!" Bramblin's pokeball vanishes. Lincoln takes out the Rotom Phone and uses it to learn more about his new Bramblin. "Okay. My Bramblin is a boy, he knows Defense Curl, Rollout, Astonish, Absorb, Rapid Spin, Bullet Seed, Infestation, Hex, and Mega Drain. He has the Wind Rider ability which increases his attack strength if he's hit with a wind move or Tailwind takes effect. It also prevents him from taking damage from wind moves."
Lincoln continues to ride through Asado Desert while having his Pokemon battle the wild ones there to prepare for his gym battle. He took the time to give his Pawmot the Magnet and Dratini the Dragon Fang he bought at Cascarrafa's Delibird Presents. During that time, his Floette learned Petal Blizzard, and his Lycanroc learned Rock Slide. He also does some Tera Raid battles and captures a Stantler, a Hippopatas, and a Bergmite. During those Tera Raid battles, he finds some Pearls, along with some Big Pearls. Also, during Crocalor and Dratini's training, they both suddenly froze up and started to glow.
"Wow! You're both evolving!" said Lincoln. They both started to change right before Lincoln's eyes. When they were done, Lincoln sees that Crocalor was bigger, now walked on four legs, his body and snout were longer, he had fire coming out the sides of his mouth, he had a long white stripe going down his back, the top of his head and snout were white with red and purple markings, and on the tip of his snout was what appeared to be some sort of small orange and red bird. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at his newly evolved Pokemon.
"Skeledirge, the Singer Pokemon, and the fully evolved form of Fuecoco. The fiery bird changes shape when Skeledirge sings. Rumor has it that the bird was born when the fireball on Skeledirge's head gained a soul." said the Rotom Phone.
"AWESOME! You're fully evolved now!" said Lincoln. Skeledirge smiles at Lincoln's excitement. "And this says you're part fire and part ghost now, and that you know a move called Torch Song!" Lincoln looks at his evolved Dratini and sees that her body was longer, she was a darker shade of blue, her snout was more rounded, the fins that were on the side of her head were wings now, she has a small horn on her forehead, and she had two dark blue orbs at the end of her tail and one on her neck. Lincoln points the Rotom Phone at his newly evolved Dratini.
"Dragonair, the Dragon Pokemon, and the evolved form of Dratini. They say that if it emits an aura from its whole body, the weather will begin to change instantly." said the Rotom Phone.
"DOUBLE AWESOME! Two evolutions at once!" said Lincoln. As Lincoln looks around, he notices something moving inside a circle of tall rocks. A very big dark grey and grey Pokemon with large tusks. Lincoln stares with awe at the Pokemon. "That must be the Titan Pokemon. I don't think I'm ready for it yet." He then returns his Pokemon, except Koraidon, to their pokeballs, hops onto Koraidon, and rides towards the northern pass of the Asado Desert. He soon exits the desert and starts riding west towards Porto Marinada. As he rides down the path, a man steps out in front of him.
"Excuse me. But can I have a Pokemon battle with you?" asked the man.
"Sure, I never back down from a challenge." said Lincoln. He takes Finizen's pokeball out of his pocket. "Finizen, go!" He throws Finizen's pokeball and releases him. The man takes a pokeball out of his pocket.
"Rufflet, go!" said the man, throwing the pokeball and releasing a blue and white birdlike Pokemon.
"What is that?" asked Lincoln, taking out his Rotom Phone and pointing it at the Pokemon.
"Rufflet, the Eaglet Pokemon. They pick fights indiscriminately. They grow stronger and more powerful each time they faint or are injured." said the Rotom Phone. Finizen and Rufflet face each other.
"Finizen, Aqua Jet!" said Lincoln. Finizen becomes surrounded by water and he flies at Rufflet, ramming it, knocking it to the ground.
"Rufflet, Wing Attack!" said the man. Rufflet flies at Finizen and hits Finizen across his face with its wing, but Finizen didn't budge. He turns towards Rufflet and frowns at it.
"All right, Finizen, finish this with Double Hit!" said Lincoln. Finizen's tail glows white and strikes Rufflet up its beak with it, and a second time on its back, knocking it to the ground, unconscious."
"Rufflet!" said the man.
"You did it, Finizen!" said Lincoln. Finizen smiles, but he suddenly freezes and begins to glow. "Whoa. Another of my Pokemon is evolving. This...is...TRIPLE AWESOME!" When the glowing stopped, Lincoln saw that besides the pink, heart-shaped mark on Finizen's chest, he didn't looked any different from when he was a Finizen. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the newly evolved Finizen.
"Palafin Zero Form, the Dolphin Pokemon, and the evolved form of Finizen. This Pokémon changes its appearance if it hears its allies calling for help. Palafin will never show anybody its moment of transformation." said the Rotom Phone.
"Okay. This says you now know Flip Turn and Jet Punch, and you now have an ability called Zero to Hero, which transforms you to your Hero Form when you switch out during a battle." said Lincoln. "I wonder what you would transform into." The man returns Rufflet to its pokeball and walks over to Lincoln.
"You're one tough trainer, kid." said the man.
"Thanks." replied Lincoln. The man gives Lincoln pokedollars and walks off. Lincoln returns his new Palafin to his pokeball and rides to a nearby Pokemon Center. When he reaches it, he returns Koraidon to his pokeball and gives the nurse his Pokemon. As he waits for his Pokemon to be treated, he looks down from the hill the Pokemon Center was on and sees Porto Marinada. "I'm almost there."
Meanwhile in Porto Marinada, Gramps' fishing boat docks at the harbor located on the west part of the city with its passengers cheering loudly. The Loud sisters, Gramps, Clyde, Ronnie Anne, Bobby, and Sam have finally arrived.
