Artazon Gym Battles (Part 2)
Stan and Brassius walk to opposite ends of the battle arena. Once they get to their positions, a referee steps to the center of the arena.
"This will be a three-on-three battle between the Gym Leader, Brassius, and the challenger, Stan. Both trainers will battle until all three of a trainer's Pokemon are unable to battle. The last trainer to have any Pokemon remaining will be the winner. Let the battle begin." said the referee. Naranja Brassius then takes a pokeball out of his pocket, making Stan do it as well. Naranja Brassius throws his pokeball, releasing his Petilil; while Stan throws his pokeball, releasing his new Skrelp.
'If I remember the Tera Raid battle I had with Skrelp, his Tera Form is poison type. If Skrelp is one hundred percent poison type, he'll have a defensive advantage against grass types.' Stan thinks to himself. He pulls out his Tera Orb, surprising Brassius.
"You have a Tera Orb?!" asked Brassius.
"Yep." said Stan as he throws it over his Skrelp, making crystal pillars appear around him. The crystals soon shatter, showing Skrelp in his Tera Form.
"Going with a Tera Pokemon from the start?" asked Naranja Brassius.
"I'm not pulling any punches; especially in a gym battle." said Stan. "Okay, Skrelp. Use Acid!" The skull and crossbones on Skrelp's head glowed before he sprays a stream of orange liquid out of its mouth, which hits Petilil, doing super effective damage, along with a little extra damage from Acid being powered up by the Tera Form. Petilil then started to wilt a little.
"What's wrong, Petilil?" asked Naranja Brassius.
"Acid has a chance of weakening the special defense of the Pokemon it's used on." explained Stan.
"Oh yeah?" replied Naranja Brassius. "Petilil, use Stun Spore!" Petilil releases yellow dust from its body and covers Skrelp, paralyzing it.
"Skrelp! Hit Petilil with another Acid attack!" said Stan. Skrelp manages to fight through his paralysis, and it sprays another Acid attack which hits Petilil, doing more damage than before thanks to its weakened special defense. The damage was too much for Petilil and it passes out.
"Petilil is unable to battle. Skrelp is the winner." said the referee.
"Sweet!" said Stan.
"Way to go, dude!" said Trent. Just then, Kenny returns from the Pokemon Center.
"What did I miss?" asked Kenny.
"Stan just one the first battle." said Trent.
"Cool." said Kenny. Naranja Brassius returns his Petilil to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Petilil." said Naranja Brassius. He puts Petilil's pokeball away and pulls another one from his jacket pocket. He throws it and releases his Smoliv.
"Hurry, Skrelp! Use Acid again!" said Stan. Skrelp tries to use his Acid attack again, but paralysis prevents him from doing so.
"Smoliv, use Growth!" said Naranja Brassius. Smoliv starts surging with energy and it grows in size a little bit, increasing his attack power.
"Skrelp, use Tackle!" said Stan. Skrelp fights through paralysis, and rams Smoliv.
"Smoliv, use Tackle!" said Naranja Brassius. Smoliv jumps at Skrelp and slams into him.
"Oh yeah?" responds Stan. "Skrelp, use Acid!" Skrelp once again fights through his paralysis and sprays Smoliv with Acid, doing super effective damage. Smoliv was struggling to stand.
"Smoliv, use Flail!" said Naranja Brassius. Smoliv flails around wildly, hitting Skrelp in the process and sends it flying to the ground. Skrelp's Tera Form suddenly shatters, and everyone sees that he was knocked out.
"Skrelp is unable to battle. Smoliv is the winner." said the referee.
"Dude. Skrelp got beat." said Kyle. Stan was shocked as well, but he returns Skrelp to his pokeball.
"You did awesome, dude." said Stan to Skrelp's pokeball. He puts it away and pulls out another pokeball. He throws it and releases his Maschiff. "Okay, Maschiff! Use Headbutt!" Maschiff charges forward and rams her head into Smoliv, sending it flying to the ground, and knocking it out.
"Smoliv is unable to battle. Maschiff is the winner." said the referee.
"Good work, Maschiff." said Stan. Naranja Brassius returns Smoliv to its pokeball.
"You did well, Smoliv." said Naranja Brassius with a smile. He puts Smoliv's pokeball away, and pulls out his last one. He throws it, releasing his Sudowoodo. He then pulls out his Tera Orb and throws it at Sudowoodo, causing crystals to surround it and Terastillizing it.
"Quick, Maschiff! Use Hone Claws!" said Stan. Maschiff starts sharpening her claws against each other, increasing her attack power, and accuracy.
"Sudowoodo, use Mimic!" said Naranja Brassius. Sudowoodo stares at Maschiff, then starts banging the orbs at the end of its arms together.
"What's it doing?" asked Trent.
"Mimic allows the Pokemon that uses it to copy the last move that was used during the battle." explained Naranja Brassius.
"So it just used Hone Claws?!" asked Stan.
"In its own way, I suppose." said Naranja Brassius.
"Maschiff, use Bite!" said Stan. Maschiff runs at Sudowoodo, and bites it. Unfortunately, it didn't make Sudowoodo flinch.
"Sudowoodo, use Slam!" said Naranja Brassius. Sudowoodo brings down one of its arms down onto Maschiff's head.
"Don't give up, Maschiff!" said Stan.
"You can do it, Maschiff!" said Trent.
"Yeah!" said Kyle.
"Maschiff, use Lick!" said Stan. Maschiff licks Sudowoodo, doing a little damage, and also causing paralysis.
"Oh no!" said Naranja Brassius. "Quick, Sudowoodo! Use Slam again!" Sudowoodo brings up one of its arms to hit Maschiff, but paralysis kicks in, stopping its attack.
"Now's your chance, Maschiff! Use Headbutt one more time!" said Stan. Maschiff runs at Sudowoodo and rams her head into it as hard as she can, knocking it to the ground, dispelling its Tera Form, and knocking it out.
"Sudowoodo is unable to battle. Maschiff is the winner. That means the winner of the battle is the challenger, Stan!" said the referee.
"We did it, Maschiff!" said Stan as he runs over to Maschiff and hugs her. "You were so awesome!" Maschiff licks Stan's face, affectionately, and not causing paralysis. Naranja Brassius returns Sudowoodo to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Sudowoodo." said Naranja Brassius. Just then, Butters, Kyle, and Uva Brassisus show up at the arena.
"What did we miss, fellas?" asked Butters.
"Stan just won his gym battle." said Trent.
"Cool!" said Kenny.
"Oh boy." said Butters. "Good work, Stan."
"Thanks, dude." said Stan. He returns Maschiff to her pokeball, just as Naranja Brassius walks over to him.
"Your battle was truly a work of art, Stan." said Naranja Brassius. He reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a gym badge, along with some pokedollars. "As proof of your victory here, I present you with the Artazon gym badge."
"Awesome!" said Stan as he takes the gym badge and pokedollars from Naranja Brassius.
"Ready for your commerative photo?" asked Naranja Brassius.
"You bet, dude." said Stan. After he and Naranja Brassius take their picture together, Stan gives Trent half the pokedollars he just won, then he and Naranja Brassius start heading to the Pokemon Center together to get their Pokemon treated, while Uva Brassius walks over to Butters.
"Are you my next challenger, young man?" Uva Brassius asked Butters.
"Yes, sir." replied Butters.
"Well in that case, we shall battle." said Uva Brassius. Soon, Butters and Uva Brassius were standing on opposite sides of the arena.
"This will be a three-on-three battle between the Gym Leader, Brassius, and the challenger, Butters. Both trainers will battle until all three of a trainer's Pokemon are unable to battle. The last trainer to have any Pokemon remaining will be the winner. Let the battle begin." said the referee. Butters and Uva Brassius each take out a pokeball.
"Go, Petilil!" said Uva Brassius, throwing Petilil's pokeball and releasing it.
"Go, Skiddo!" said Butters, throwing Skiddo's pokeball and releasing her. "Skiddo, Tail Whip!" Skiddo charges at Petilil and wags her tail onto it, weakening its defense.
"Butters did an excellent strategy." Uva Brassius thought to himself. "He knows powder moves are useless against grass type Pokemon, so Stun Spore will not work." He focuses back on the battle. "Petilil, Magical Leaf!" Petilil spins and releases glowing green leaves onto Skiddo, but it didn't seem to do any harm to her, but instead, she becomes surrounded by light green energy.
"You just activated my Skiddo's Sap Sipper ability, so now her attack strength increases." said Butters. Uva Brassius steps back with a stunned look on his face. "Skiddo, I hate to do this, but use Take Down!" Skiddo charges at Petilil and rams it with incredible force, doing a lot of damage due to Skiddo's attack being increased and Petilil's defense being weakened by Tail Whip. Skiddo winces in pain from the recoil damage caused by Take Down. "Sorry, girl." Skiddo nods. Petilil struggles to get up.
"Petilil, Charm!" said Uva Brassius. Petilil leaps at Skiddo and nuzzles her, weakening her attack strength.
"Tackle!" said Butters. Skiddo rams Petilil and knocks her to the ground with swirly eyes.
"Petilil is unable to battle. Skiddo is the winner." said the referee.
"Way to go, Skiddo." said Butters. Skiddo stands on her hind legs and waves her front legs. Uva Brassius returns Petilil to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Petilil." said Uva Brassius. He puts Petilil's pokeball away and pulls out Smoliv's pokeball. "Go, Smoliv!" He throws Smoliv's pokeball and releases it.
"Skiddo, Tackle!" said Butters. Skiddo charges at Smoliv and rams it, knocking it back.
"Use Tackle right back!" said Uva Brassius. Smoliv leaps at Skiddo and rams her, making her step back.
"Tail Whip!" said Butters. Skiddo leaps at Smoliv and she wags her tail onto it, weakening her defense.
"Growth!" said Uva Brassius. Smoliv becomes surrounded by green energy and her attack and special attack strength increases.
"Tackle again!" said Butter. Skiddo charges at Smoliv and rams it again, doing more damage due to its defense being weakened.
"Flail!" said Uva Brassius. Smoliv flails around at Skiddo, hitting her, doing more damage due to its attack strength being increased.
"Skiddo, I really hate doing this, but use Take Down!" said Butters. Skiddo charges at Smoliv and rams it with great force, knocking it out. Skiddo winces from Take Down's recoil damage. "Sorry, Skiddo."
"Smoliv is unable to battle. Skiddo is the winner." said the referee.
"Good job, Skiddo." said Butters. Uva Brassius returns Smoliv to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Smoliv." said Uva Brassius. He looks at Butters. "You've done a fine job raising your Skiddo, Butters." He puts Smoliv's pokeball away and pulls out Sudowoodo's pokeball. "But let's see how she does against Sudowoodo." He throws Sudowoodo's pokeball and releases it. He then takes out his Tera Orb and uses it to Terastilize Sudowoodo into a grass type.
"Use Tail Whip!" said Butters. Skiddo wags her tail onto Sudowoodo, weakening its defense.
"Sudowoodo, use Rock Throw!" said Uva Brassius. Sudowoodo throws rocks at Skiddo and hits her.
"Use Tackle!" said Butters. Skiddo charges at Sudowoodo and rams it. "Good thing Sudowoodo's a grass type now, Tackle wouldn't have done much against it if it stayed a rock type."
"Too bad Skiddo's not a rock type either." said Uva Brassius. "Use Slam!" Sudowoodo leaps at Skiddo and hits her with one of its arms, knocking her to the ground with swirly eyes.
"Skiddo is unable to battle. Sudowoodo wins." said the referee.
"Excellent work, Sudowoodo." said Uva Brassius.
"Sudowoodo." cheered Sudowoodo, raising its arms. Butters returns Skiddo to her pokeball.
"You did great out there, Skiddo." said Butters. He puts Skiddo's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Tinkatink, go!" He throws Tinkatink's pokeball and releases her. "Use Rock Smash!" Tinkatink leaps at Sudowoodo and swings her hammer onto it, doing a lot of damage due to its defense being weakened by Tail Whip. Sudowoodo's defense became weaker due to Rock Smash.
"Use Slam!" said Uva Brassius. Sudowoodo swings its arm at Tinkatink and hits her, but not doing much damage due to normal type moves not being effective against steel type Pokemon.
"Sorry, sir, but there isn't a single move Sudowoodo knows that will work well against Tinkatink." said Butters. "Use Metal Claw, Tinkatink!" Tinkatink's free hand turns into metal and she slashes Sudowoodo across the chest with it, knocking it back. Tinkatink begins surging with energy.
"Awesome. Metal Claw increases the attack strength of the Pokemon that uses it." said Kyle.
"Sudowoodo, Trailblaze!" said Uva Brassius. Sudowoodo's arms become covered in leafy vines and it charges at Tinkatink, ramming her, but not doing much damage.
"Metal Claw, one more time!" said Butters. Tinkatink free hand turns into metal and she swipes it across Sudowoodo's chest, knocking it back, shattering its Tera Form and it collapses to the ground with swirly eyes.
"Sudowoodo!" said Uva Brassius.
"Sudowoodo is unable to battle. Tinkatink wins. The winner of this gym battle is the challenger, Butters." said the referee.
"You did it, Tinkatink!" said Butters. Tinkatink raises her hammer in victory. Uva Brassius returns Sudowoodo to its pokeball.
"You were great, Sudowoodo." said Uva Brassius. He puts Sudowoodo's pokeball away and walks over to Butters. "You did an excellent job raising your Pokemon, Butters."
"Thank you, sir." said Butters. Uva Brassius pulls an Artazon gym badge out of his pocket.
"As proof of your victory here, I reward you with the Artazon gym badge." said Uva Brassius. He gives Butters the badge, along with pokedollars. Butters then gives Trent half the pokedollars he just got, just as Cartman arrives to the arena.
"So, what did I miss?" asked Cartman.
"The whole gym battle." said Stan. Cartman looks to see Butters and Uva Brassius taking a photo together.
"Damn it." muttered Cartman.
"What took you so long?" asked Kyle.
"Hey, I couldn't get to some of the Sunfloras because I couldn't fit through where they were because of my buff body, and I got lost in the stupid hedge maze!" said Cartman. Naranja Brassius walks over to Cartman.
"Are you my next opponent?" asked Naranja Brassius.
"That's right." said Cartman. "We saved the best for last!"
"We did?" replied Kyle.
"Shut up, Kyle!" said Cartman.
"Very well. Let us begin." said Naranja Brassius. He and Cartman walk to opposite sides of the arena. The referee steps to the center of it.

"Petilil, I choose you!" said Naranja Brassius as he throws his pokeball, releasing his Petilil.
"Come on out, Gyarados!" said Cartman as he throws his pokeball, releasing his Gyarados, surprising Naranja Brassius.
"You have a Gyarados?!" asked Naranja Brassius. Gyarados stares harshly at Petilil, making her very nervous and weakening her attack power. "I take it Gyarados has the Intimidate ability?"
"That's right." said Cartman. "Gyarados, use Ice Fang!" Gyarados' fangs become coated in frost. He then lunges at Petilil and bites down on it, doing super effective damage. Petilil struggled to stay standing.
"Hurry, Petilil, use Stun Spore!" said Naranja Brassius. Petilil releases Stun Spore and it covers Gyarados, causing him paralysis.
"Hey!" yelled Cartman. "Gyarados, use Bite!" Gyarados tried to use Bite, but paralysis stops him from doing so.
"Petilil, use Charm!" said Naranja Brassius. Petilil stares charmingly at Gyarados, making him adore it, and lowering his attack power.
"Damn it." said Cartman. "Come on, Gyarados! Use Tackle!" This time, Gyarados fights through paralysis, and he rams Petilil hard enough to knock it out, despite Gyarados' weakened attack power.
"Petilil is unable to battle. Gyarados is the winner." said the referee.
"Kick ass!" said Cartman. Naranja Brassius returns Petilil to its pokeball.
"You did well to weaken that Gyarados." said Naranja Brassius. "Take a good rest." He then puts Petilil's pokeball away and pulls another pokeball out of his pocket. He throws it, releasing his Smoliv.
"This'll be easy." said Cartman.
"Don't be too sure, young man." said Naranja Brassius. "Smoliv, use Growth!" Smoliv's body starts to grow a little, increasing its attack strength.
"Gyarados, use Ice Fang!" said Cartman. Gyarados lunges at Smoliv and hits it with his Ice Fang, doing super effective damage, though not as much as it did with Petilil, due to his attack power being weakened by Petilil's Charm attack.
"Smoliv, hit it with Flail!" said Naranja Brassius. Smoliv flails at Gyarados, hitting him doing a lot of damage due to its weakened stamina and the power increase from Growth.
"Hey!" said Cartman. "Gyarados, don't take that from that Smoliv! Use Bite!" Gyarados tries to use Bite, put paralysis kicks in, stopping him from attacking.
"Smoliv, hit it with another Flail!" said Naranja Brassius. Smoliv hits Gyarados with another Flail, making him fall to the ground. Gyarados weakly gets back up.
"Whoa." said Stan. "Now I see why he's a gym leader."
"Yeah, dude." said Kyle.
"Come on, Gyarados!" said Cartman. "Use Bite!" This time, Gyarados fights through his paralysis and bites down on Smoliv, this time doing enough damage to knock it out.
"Smoliv is unable to battle. Gyarados is the winner." said the referee. Cartman lets out a breath of relief.
"That was close." said Cartman.
"Don't relax yet, dude." said Kyle. "He still has one Pokemon left."
"Oh yeah." said Cartman with disappointment. Naranja Brassius returns Smoliv to its pokeball.
"You did well against that Gyarados, Smoliv." said Naranja Brassius. "Your Gyarados is indeed strong."
"Yeah, he's pretty tough, isn't he?" replied Cartman. Naranja Brassius puts Smoliv's pokeball away and pulls out his last one.
"But let's see how he handles my strongest one." said Naranja Brassius as he tosses his pokeball, releasing his Sudowoodo. He then takes out his Tera Orb and uses it to Terastillize his Sudowoodo. Just then, Butters and Uva Brassius return from the Pokemon Center.
"How's Eric doing?" asked Butters.
"So far he's beaten two of Brassius' Pokemon." said Stan.
"Wow!" said Butters. Back at the battle. Naranja Brassius is getting ready for battle.
"Okay, Sudowoodo! Use Rock Throw!" said Naranja Brassius. Sudowoodo throws a bunch of rocks at Gyarados, doing super effective damage to him, and combined with the damage he took from two strong Flail attacks, it proved to be too much, and he was knocked out.
"Gyarados is unable to battle. Sudowoodo is the winner." said the referee. The boys were in absolute shock at what they saw.
"I can't believe that Gyarados lost." said Kyle.
"Yeah." said Stan. Cartman, after getting over his shock, returns Gyarados to his pokeball.
"You were cool, Gyarados." said Cartman. He puts Gyarados' pokeball away and pulls out another one. He throws it and releases his Crocalor.
"A wise choice to use a fire type against my now grass type Sudowoodo." said Naranja Brassius. "But will it be enough?"
"Let's find out." said Cartman. "Crocalor, use Incinerate!" Crocalor opens his mouth and releases a fireball from it, hitting Sudowoodo, and doing super effective damage, and more, thanks to his Charcoal.
"Sudowoodo, use Rock Throw again!" said Naranja Brassius. Sudowoodo throws rocks at Crocoalor, doing super effective damage to him.
"Oh yeah?" replied Cartman. "Crocalor, use Bite!" Crocalor charges at Sudowoodo and bites down on him, causing him to flinch. "Now use Incinerate one more time!" Crocalor opens his mouth and hits Sudowoodo with a point-blank Incinerate, doing enough damage to shatter its Tera Form, and knock it out.
"Sudowoodo is unable to battle. Crocalor is the winner. That means the winner of the gym battle is the challenger, Cartman!" said the referee.
"I did it, you guys!" cheered Cartman.
"Sweet!" said Kyle.
"Whoopee!" said Butters.
"Awesome!" said Kenny. Naranja Brassius returns Sudowoodo to its pokeball.
"You were magnificent, Sudowoodo." said Naranja Brassius. He puts Sudowoodo's pokeball away and walks to Cartman.
"You battled quite well." said Naranja Brassius. He reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out an Artazon gym badge, along with some pokedollars. "As proof of your victory, I present you with the Artazon gym badge." He hands Cartman the gym badge and pokedollars. Cartman turns to his friends and holds out the gym badge.
"Check it out, guys." said Cartman. "Got my second gym badge."
"Good work, dude." said Kyle. Trent steps forward and holds out his hand. Cartman then remembers his punishment.
"Damn it." said Cartman as he hands Trent half the pokedollars he just won. After that, they all went to the Pokemon Center to get Cartman's Pokemon treated. As they waited, they all had dinner to celebrate their recent gym battle victories.
"Two down, six more to go." said Stan.
"We have a long way to go." said Kyle. Kenny looks over at Trent.
"So do you think you're ready for a gym battle yet?" Kenny asked Trent.
"I'll watch your next gym battles, then I'll consider it." said Trent.
"Okay, dude." said Stan. Cartman got his Pokemon back, and the boys leave Artazon. They look at the sky and see it was getting dark.
"We should set camp for now." said Kyle. "It's kind of getting late."
"Good call." said Stan. "We'll start heading for Levincia tomorrow."
"I can't wait to get there." said Cartman. "I want to be in another of Iono's videos."
"Yeah." said Kenny.
"We should also train our Pokemon a bit more, also." said Kyle.
"And maybe catch some more." said Stan. They all then set up their tents, and soon went to sleep.
