Reunions
The Loud Sisters, Leonard, Clyde, Ronnie Anne, Bobby, and Sam climb out of Leonard's fishing boat and onto the dock.
"Well, kids, here we are, the Paldea Region; or more specifically, a town called Porto Marinada as it says on Lisa's map." said Leonard.
"So how far is it from here to Mesagoza?" asked Clyde. They all gather around Lisa's map.
"According to this, we'll need to exit this city, go through a large desert until we reach a city called Cascarrafa, then we keep walking until we eventually reached a small town called Cortondo, and after that, we walk east until we reach Mesagoza." said Lisa.
"Wow. That sounds like a lot of walking." said Ronnie Anne. "Good thing I brought my skateboard."
"Before we start heading for Mesagoza, we should walk around for a bit and get used to being on land. I'm still a little wobbly from the boat ride." said Lori.
"Good idea." said Luan. They all start walking on a nearby beach where some tables with umbrellas in them, along with some chairs, were set up.
"Wow. This looks nice." said Leni. As Lori and Bobby walked along the sea, they saw that they were being followed by two pink, heart shaped Pokemon.
"Awww. Those Pokemon look so cute." said Lori. "And they're shaped like hearts."
"They are cute, aren't they?" replied Bobby.
"Hey, Lisa. What Pokemon are these?" asked Lori. Lisa and the others walk over and looks at them.
"I'm not certain. I only know about a few Pokemon; I don't really know anything about this particular species."
"Oh. Well, they're still cute." said Lori.
"Totes." said Leni as she stares at the Pokemon with admiration. As they continue to walk around, they hear sounds of impact coming from somewhere nearby. They look to see a purple crablike Pokemon with blue claws, and a yellow belly and antennae, punching a palm tree.
"What's that Pokemon?" asked Lana.
"I do not know the name of this species of Pokemon, either." said Lisa.
"Why's it punching that tree?" asked Lola. She got her answer when a coconut falls out of the tree.
"I guess it wanted to get some food." said Lori. Lynn looks at the Pokemon with interest as it continues to punch the tree.
"Sure does like to punch." said Lynn. She walks over to the Pokemon. "Hey, jumbo shrimp!" The Pokemon stops punching the tree and looks at Lynn. Lynn raises up her fists.
"Lynn? What are you doing?" asked Lori.
"Just want to have a boxing match with this little guy." said Lynn.
"Don't do anything stupid, Lynn." said Luan.
"I think that's too much to ask of her." said Ronnie Anne. Lynn approaches the Pokemon with her fists raised. The Pokemon then raises up its claws.
"Oh you want to fight, huh?" said Lynn. She got close to the Pokemon and does some air jabs. "Come on. Come on." The Pokemon's right claw glowed white. "Come on, give me your best shot!" The Pokemon swings its right claw and hits Lynn, sending her flying across the air and into the water. Lynn runs out of the water and towards the Pokemon. "Rematch! Two out of three!" She was hit again and sent back into the water. "Three out of five!" She runs at the Pokemon and gets hit back into the water again. "Four out of seven!"
"Lynn! Cut it out!" said Lori.
"No way!" said Lynn as she walks back to the Pokemon. She gets knocked back into the water. "Five out of nine!" Seconds later, she gets knocked back into the water again.
"While you guys watch Lynn getting knocked around like a beach ball by that thing, me and Clyde are going to look around town." said Ronnie Anne.
"Maybe we can find a faster way to get to Mesagoza." said Clyde.
"Good idea. This could be a while." said Luna. They all watch as Lynn gets knocked back into the water.
"Six out of eleven!" said Lynn. Meanwhile at the east part of Porto Marinada, Lincoln just entered the city and started his search for Kofu. He looks around and soon sees him in the marketplace, looking for something.
"There he is." said Lincoln. He walks towards him when a boy with light brown hair, wearing with a shirt with a red pocket and a red stripe on each shoulder, black pants, and black sandals walks in front of him.
"Excuse me. What do you want? Master Kofu is in the middle of some super important ingredient buying right now!" said the boy.
"Look. I'm just trying to..." Lincoln started to say, but was interrupted by the boy.
"I don't want to hear it." said the boy. "I'm Hugo, Master Kofu's apprentice, and if you want to get to Master Kofu, you'll need to get through me."
"Hey. I'm not here to get into an argument, I'm just..." Lincoln started to say, but he was once again interrupted.
"I don't care what you're trying to do. Like I said, you only get to Master Kofu by having a Pokemon battle with me." said the boy now known as Hugo. Lincoln lets out a sigh.
'He's as stubborn as Lynn.' Lincoln thinks to himself. "Fine. Anything to move things along."
"Excellent. There's a battle arena right over there." said Hugo as he points towards a battle arena.
"Okay. Let's just get this over with." said Lincoln as he and Hugo start walking towards the battle arena. Meanwhile, back at the harbor, Ronnie Anne and Clyde were walking towards the marketplace area.
"I hope we find Lincoln soon." said Clyde.
"Me, too." said Ronnie Anne. Just then, a small group of kids were running in the same direction they were heading in.
"Hurry up. A Pokemon battle is about to start in the marketplace." said a boy.
"Who's battling?" asked a girl.
"Master Kofu's apprentice." said the boy.
"Who's battling him?" asked a boy.
"That Lincoln kid from a couple of Iono's videos." answered the boy.
"That boy with white hair?" asked the girl, getting Ronnie Anne and Clyde's attention.
"Yeah." said the boy. The group of kids run towards the marketplace. Ronnie Anne and Clyde look at each other.
"Do you think...?" Clyde started to say.
"I can't think of any other boys with white hair named Lincoln that would be here in the Paldea Region." said Ronnie Anne. They both run in the direction the group of kids went in. They soon reach the marketplace where they see a small crowd watching something. They look around and find a gap to squeeze through to get a good look at what was going on. When they make it to the front of the crowd, they froze when they saw Lincoln standing on one side of some sort of field, staring down another boy.
"Lincoln." Clyde and Ronnie Anne whispered.
"Okay. This is going to be a two-on-two Pokemon battle." said Hugo. "The battle will end when one trainer's Pokemon is unable to battle."
"I'm sure I'll only need one Pokemon." replied Lincoln.
"Confident, huh? Let's see if your Pokemon can back up your words." said Hugo as he takes out a pokeball. "Let's go, Floatzel." He throws a pokeball and releases an orange and cream colored, weasel like Pokemon that looks like it was wearing a yellow life vest, surprising Clyde and Ronnie Anne. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the new Pokemon.
"Floatzel, the Sea Weasel Pokemon, and the evolved form of Buizel. With its flotation sac inflated, it can carry people on its back. It deflates the sac before it dives." said the Rotom Phone.
"Pawmot, go!" said Lincoln, throwing Pawmot's pokeball and releasing him.
"Floatzel, Aqua Jet!" said Hugo.
"Pawmot, Quick Attack!" said Lincoln. Floatzel becomes surrounded by water and flies towards Pawmot who jumps towards it with incredible speed, and they crash into each other. Pawmot lands on his feet while Floatzel falls to the ground, surprising Hugo. "Now Pawmot, Wild Charge!" Pawmot runs at Floatzel while becoming surrounded by electricity and rams Floatzel, doing super effective damage due to electric type moves being strong against water type Pokemon and Magnet powering up Pawmot's electric type attacks, knocking it to the arena floor, unconscious. Pawmot flinches in pain from the recoil damage of Wild Charge. "You okay, Pawmot?" Pawmot nods in response. Clyde and Ronnie Anne look in awe.
"Whoa." says Ronnie Anne. Hugo returns Floatzel to its pokeball and pulls another one out of his pocket.
"Let's see how you do against this Pokemon." said Hugo. "Clauncher, go!" He throws the pokeball and releases a light blue, shrimplike Pokemon with a claw bigger than its other. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Clauncher, the Water Gun Pokemon. This Pokémon launches water by detonating gas inside its right claw. It snipes flying Pokémon." said the Rotom Phone.
"Clauncher, Aqua Jet!" said Hugo. Clauncher becomes surrounded by water and rams into Pawmot, making him take a step back.
"Pawmot, Charge!" said Lincoln. Pawmot becomes surrounded by electricity and he begins bulking up.
"Clauncher, Smackdown!" said Hugo. Clauncher opens his larger claw and forms a ball made of gold energy in it and launches it at Pawmot, hitting him, but not doing much damage due to Charge powering up his special defense and fighting type Pokemon being resistant to rock type moves.
"Use Spark!" said Lincoln. Pawmot becomes surrounded by electricity and rams Clauncher, dealing massive damage due to Clauncher being weak against electric type attacks and Charge and Magnet powering up Spark. Clauncher falls to the ground with swirly eyes, surprising Hugo.
"No way!" exclaimed Hugo.
"Great work, Pawmot!" said Lincoln. Pawmot raises his arms and cheered. Lincoln looks at Hugo. "Looks like I win."
"Yeah, looks like it." muttered Hugo as he returned Clauncher to its pokeball. Lincoln also returns Pawmot to his pokeball. Just then, Kofu walks up to them.
"What is the meaning of this?" asked Kofu.
"Master Kofu. This boy wanted to see you about something." said Hugo. Kofu looks over at Lincoln.
"Well, young man; what do you need?" asked Kofu.
"My name is Lincoln Loud. I came here to return this to you." said Lincoln as he reaches into his backpack and pulls out Kofu's wallet, surprising him.
"My wallet!" said Kofu as he grabs the wallet from Lincoln's hand.
"You left it back at the Pokemon League building back in Cascarrafa. A staff member sent me to return it to you." explained Lincoln. A look of shame and embarrassment appears on Hugo's face.
"Oh." said Hugo as he rubs his arm and looks away. "You were only trying to return Master Kofu's wallet?"
"I tried to tell you, but you kept interrupting me before I could." said Lincoln.
"Boy, do I feel foolish. I humbly apologize." said Hugo.
"Don't worry. No harm done." said Lincoln.
"Tell that to my Pokemon." said Hugo with a frown. He gives Lincoln pokedollars. Lincoln then looks back at Kofu.
"I want to challenge you to a gym battle, sir." said Lincoln. "The staff member said that returning your wallet to you was my Gym Test."
"It's my gym, so I decide what the Gym Test is." said Kofu.
"Okay. What is my Gym Test then?" asked Lincoln. Kofu looks towards the auction area.
"In two hours, there will be an auction for a rare ingredient that I had my eye on, and I want you to try and win it for me." said Kofu as he opens his wallet and gives Lincoln a large wad of pokedollars. "Use that money to win it. If you do, you'll pass your Gym Test."
"Okay, sir." said Lincoln. Master Kofu and Hugo walk off somewhere to wait, leaving Lincoln to himself. As Lincoln looked around for a place he could wait, he felt someone tap his shoulder. He turns and was surprised when he sees Clyde and Ronnie Anne staring back at him.
"Ronnie Anne?! Clyde?!" replied Lincoln. Clyde suddenly wraps his arms around him in a hug.
"LINCOLN! BUDDY!" said Clyde as tears formed in his eyes. Ronnie Anne hugs Lincoln from behind.
"What are you guys doing here?" asked Lincoln with a smile.
"We came here to find you." said Ronnie Anne.
"How did you guys get here?" asked Lincoln.
"Your grandfather, Leonard, brought us in his fishing boat." said Clyde as he continued hugging Lincoln.
"Gramps is here?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah." said Ronnie Anne.
"Awesome! I missed him!" said Lincoln with a smile. "But how did you guys know I was even here in Paldea?"
"Your sister Lisa found out." said Ronnie Anne. Lincoln frowns at the mention of Lisa's name.
"Lisa?" said Lincoln.
"Yeah." said Ronnie Anne as she looked away. "She and all your other sisters are here, too."
"They are?" replied Lincoln.
"Yeah. We all came to bring you back to Royal Woods." said Ronnie Anne.
"I can understand you and Clyde wanting me back in Royal Woods, Gramps, too; maybe Lily; but why would the rest of my sisters want me back there?" asked Lincoln. "Last time I saw them, they didn't want me anywhere near them."
"They don't believe you're bad luck anymore." said Clyde.
"Why?" asked Lincoln. Ronnie Anne goes on to tell Lincoln everything that happened with his family since Lincoln left. Leni telling her friends about how his family kicked him out of the house which prompted them to post it online, everyone finding out about it, his family, except Lily, becoming outcasts; along with his parents being arrested. Lincoln was conflicted with how to feel.
"What are you going to do, Lincoln?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"Well. On one hand, I'm still upset about how they treated me over a dumb superstition; on the other hand, they're still my family and I could never hate them forever. (Authors' Note: Seriously, Lincoln was way too forgiving in the canon NSL episode, and he should've been angry with his family.)
"Do you want to see them?" asked Clyde.
"Why not? I miss Lily and Gramps at least, and I have some time before the auction begins." said Lincoln.
"So, you'll go see them?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"I can't avoid them forever. They'll probably find me eventually, or at least get to Mesagoza and Naranja Academy, find Mr. Clavell, and have him call me over there to his office." said Lincoln. He lets out a deep breath. "Okay, let's go find them."
"I think they're still at that beach we were on earlier." said Clyde.
"Yeah. They were watching Lynn fighting with a Pokemon last time we saw them." said Ronnie Anne.
"Of course Lynn would do something like that." said Lincoln with exasperation. They all start walking to the beach.
"And also, my brother and Luna's friend, Sam, are here also." said Ronnie Anne.
"Oh, okay." said Lincoln. "I wouldn't mind seeing Bobby again, and I'm guessing that Sam came with to be with Luna."
"Yep." said Clyde. Back at the beach, Lynn was limping out of the sea.
"Seventy-six...out of a hundred and fifty." said a bruised and wet Lynn. Lori and Leni grabbed Lynn by the arms and pull her away.
"Enough, Lynn!" exclaimed Lori. "We have more important things to do!" Lynn glares at the Pokemon.
"Let me at it!" yelled Lynn. Lori grabs Lynn by the shirt and pulls her closer to her.
"We. Are. Here. To. Find. Lincoln!" said Lori with her teeth clenched. Lynn glares at the Pokemon.
"This isn't over!" said Lynn. The Pokemon waved its claws in the air. "Is that thing doing a victory dance?!" She lunged at the Pokemon, but Lori and Leni grabbed her arms and pulled her away. "You didn't win! I'm...just giving you a chance to rest!" They return to Bobby, Sam, Leonard and the other Loud sisters.
"Can we get going now?!" exclaimed Luan.
"We need to get to Mesagoza." said Lucy, appearing behind Lori, Leni, and Lynn, scaring them.
"Hey, guys!" they hear Ronnie Anne yell out. They all look and to their surprised shock, they see Clyde and Ronnie Anne...and they had Lincoln with them.
"Lincoln?!" said the Loud Sisters.
"Wincoln! Wincoln!" said Lily as she reaches towards Lincoln.
"Wow. It must've been a shorter walk to Mesagoza than we thought." said Leni.
"He was here in Porto Marinada." said Ronnie Anne.
"Oh." replied Leni.
"Hi." said Lincoln with no enthusiasm as he waves at them. Tears suddenly formed in the Loud Sisters eyes, and their lips were quivering, except for Lisa.
"LINCOLN!" the Loud Sisters screamed as they ran over to Lincoln, except Lisa, and hugged him.
"Normally, I don't care for inane human emotions, but..." said Lisa before she began crying and runs over to join her other sisters in the group hug. Lana and Lola each clung to one of Lincoln's legs, Lily was latched onto Lincoln's head as she started nuzzling his cheek, and the rest of the sisters hugged Lincoln as tight as they could.
"It's you! It's really you!" said Lana as she nuzzles Lincoln's leg.
"We totes missed you!" said Leni.
"You did?" asked Lincoln with disbelief. They soon broke the hug. Leonard runs over to Lincoln.
"Lincoln! My little minnow!" said Leonard as he grabs Lincoln in a bone-crushing hug.
"Gramps! Need...air!" said Lincoln as he started to turn blue. Leonard lets go a few seconds later. "Man. I used to think Lynn got her strength from Mom's side of the family; now I'm not so sure anymore." Bobby and Sam walked over to Lincoln.
"Hey, Lincoln." said Bobby.
"Hey, Bobby." said Lincoln as he and Bobby fist bumped.
"You doing okay, little dude?" asked Sam.
"Yeah. I take it you're Sam?" said Lincoln.
"You got it." replied Sam as she and Lincoln shook hands. Lincoln's sisters looked at him with looks of remorse on their faces.
"Lincoln! We're very sorry for throwing you out onto the streets over some silly superstition!" said Luna.
"And I think that LYNN has something to say to you as well!" said Lori as she pushes Lynn forward, who then walks up to Lincoln while avoiding eye contact with him. Tears formed in her eyes before she lunged at Lincoln, wrapped her arms around him, and started hugging him.
"I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY!" said Lynn as she started to cry. "I'm sorry I blamed you for me losing that game! I'm sorry I forced you to be there in the first place by threatening you with a baseball bat! I'm sorry for everything!" Lynn continued to cry. Lincoln was surprised by Lynn's actions. A minute later, Lynn lets Lincoln go.
"I still can't believe you guys just threw me out of the house without a second thought." said Lincoln. "I thought you guys didn't love me anymore." Lincoln's sisters gasped at that thought.
"Don't ever believe that, no matter what!" said Lori.
"We could never stop loving you!" said Luan.
"How is throwing someone out onto the street over a superstition without at least trying to find a way to remove the 'bad luck' showing that you love him?" asked Ronnie Anne. The Loud sisters look away in shame.
"Good point." said Luna.
"I don't know if you fully believe that we love you after what we did; but we will earn your love back..." Lori started to say before looking at Lynn. "...without threatening him with a baseball bat!"
"I didn't even bring my baseball bat!" said Lynn. Lincoln thinks for a little bit.
"I'll give you guys a chance to redeem yourselves. Lily gets a free pass because she's a baby and most likely didn't know any better." said Lincoln as she tickles Lily's chin, making her giggle.
"Fair enough." said Lori. Lincoln stares at his sisters for a minute before he spreads his arms out.
"Bring it in." said Lincoln. With smiles on their faces, they all do a group hug.

Authors' Note: Well Lincoln and his sisters and friends are finally reunited. The road to forgiveness will be a long, difficult one; but the Loud Sisters (except for Lily) will do what they can to earn it.
