Gym Test, Palafin Hero Form, and Gym Battle
Everyone was walking along the beach until they arrived at the harbor. They soon got to the marketplace just as the sound of a bell ringing was heard.
"Ladies and gents! You won't wanna miss this!" a man called out. "Here comes today's last item!" Lincoln looks to see a man behind a booth. On it was what appeared to be red and orange sparkling seaweed. "Feast your eyes on the main event. The legendary wakame seaweed of the Hoenn region. Do I have any takers?" Suddenly, Kofu runs over to Lincoln and looks at the seaweed.
"I don't even have to touch that. I can see it has the springy texture of seaweed chock-full o' nutrients. Look how it catches the light and shines so brilliantly; and that rich, fresh aroma of somethin' plucked straight outta the ocean." said Kofu. He turned towards Lincoln. "If you want to challenge me at my gym, get the winning bid on that seaweed."
"Yes, sir." said Lincoln. Kofu then sees Lily, still clinging to Lincoln's head.
"Pardon me for asking; but why do you have a baby holding onto your head?" asked Kofu. Lincoln looks at Lily.
"Oh. This is my baby sister, Lily." said Lincoln. He then looks over to the rest of the group. "And those are sisters, my grandfather, and some of my friends from America where I'm from."
"Well it's nice to meet you all." said Kofu as he tickles Lily's chin, making her giggle.
"Nice to meet you, too." said Luan.
"Well you better get over there right away before you miss out on trying to win that seaweed." said Kofu.
"Yes, sir." said Lincoln. He then runs to the booth while the others followed after him. Lincoln reaches the booth where a man and a woman were already standing. Lincoln counts the money Kofu gave him. "Okay. I have fifty thousand pokedollars. Hope this will be enough."
"Don't sweat it, Lincoln. You can do it." said Luan.
"Totes." said Leni. Everyone else voices their support.
"Thanks, guys." said Lincoln.
"Hoenn's legendary wakame seaweed." said the auctioneer. "We'll start the bidding at ten thousand."
"Ten thousand!" Lincoln called out.
"I hear a bid for ten thousand. Do I hear more? We're currently at ten thousand." said the auctioneer.
"Fifteen thousand!" the man called out.
"Twenty-five thousand!" the woman called out.
"Aaaand we have twenty five thousand. We're at twenty-five thousand. Do I hear more?" said the auctioneer.
"Thirty thousand!" Lincoln called out.
"I hear a bid for thirty thousand. Do I hear more? We're currently at thirty thousand." said the auctioneer. The man grabs his head with his hands.
"What a big spender!" said the man.
"Forty thousand!" said the woman.
"Aaand we have forty thousand. We're at forty thousand. Do I hear more?"
"Forty-five thousand!" Lincoln called out.
"I hear a bid for forty-five thousand. Do I hear more? We're currently at forty five thousand." said the auctioneer.
"What in the world?" said the woman.
"Sold! Sold for forty-five thousand to the little gentleman over here." said the auctioneer, pointing at Lincoln.
"Lincoln won!" exclaimed Clyde. The others cheered for Lincoln.
"That was close!" exclaimed Luna.
"But Linky did it." said Leni. Minutes later, Lincoln was standing in front of Kofu and Hugo while Kofu was holding the wakame seaweed.
"That was amazin! You put those grown-up bidders to shame with your biddin skills." said Kofu.
"It was pretty close." said Lincoln.
"Thank you for winnin' this seaweed for me, kid." said Kofu.
"So do I pass the Gym Test?" asked Lincoln.
"Of course. And any of the money leftover, you can keep as a tip." said Kofu. "You can even use it on other auctions they hold here."
"Thanks." replied Lincoln, pocketing the leftover money.
"Well, I'm going back to the gym. I'm gonna prepare a REEL good battle fer ya. See ya there." said Kofu.
"Ugh. That pun was just as lame as all of Luan's." said Lynn.
"Hey!" replied Luan.
"I'm looking forward to our battle, Kofu." said Lincoln. Kofu and Hugo walk away. Lincoln's sisters, Leonard, and his friends walk over to Lincoln.
"Congratulations, little bro." said Luna.
"SEA, Lincoln? WEED knew you can do it. Ha ha ha." said Luan. "Get it?"
"Uugh." everyone else moans in response.
"Anyway, don't congratulate me yet. I still have my gym battle with Kofu." said Lincoln.
"All right then, let's go." said Lynn.
"To Cascarrafa!" said Lincoln. Everyone else cheers in response. As they left Porto Marinada, Luan had something on her mind.
"Hey, Lincoln?" said Luan. Lincoln turns to look at her.
"Yeah?" replied Lincoln.
"I was wondering what kind of community service Mom and Dad will be doing?" asked Luan. Everyone else looks at Lincoln.
"I got them looking after some kids on the weekends for the rest of this month, eight hours a day." said Lincoln.
"That doesn't sound so bad." said Lori. "With Mom and Dad's reputations after what we did to you, I didn't think anyone would trust them with their kids." Lincoln does an eyeroll which Luna notices.
"What was with the eyeroll, dude?" asked Luna.
"You don't know which kids I got them." said Lincoln. The Loud Sisters look at Lincoln with suspicion.
"Which kids did you get them?" asked Lori.
"Well; there's five of them, they're from the same family; and you, Leni, Luna, and Luan babysat for them before and it doesn't exactly bring back fond memories for you." said Lincoln. Lori, Leni, Luna, and Lori gasp as they figured out what kids Lincoln got.
Meanwhile, back in Royal Woods. A police officer just finished removing the house arrest ankle bracelets from Lynn Loud Sr. and Rita Loud's ankles.
"You better appreciate what your son did for you. I don't think you deserved any mercy from him after what you two did." said the officer as he glares at the Loud parents. "You better hope we won't have to do this again."
"I promise we'll NEVER do it again!" said Rita.
"Thank you, Lincoln!" said Lynn Sr as he looks up with his hands pressed together. Just then, their doorbell rang, followed by a yelp from whoever rang it after getting zapped by it.
"That should be them now." said the officer.
"So whose kids are we looking after?" asked Lynn Sr. The officer opens the door, revealing... Back in the Paldea Region, Lori, Leni, Luna, and Luan were staring at Lincoln with shock.
"You got them the Fox Quintuplets?!" they asked.
"Hey. I said I got them off; I didn't say I got them off easy." said Lincoln. "And besides, I didn't think they should've gotten off scot-free for what they did. They should've known better than to do what they did to me that day."
"I suppose." said Lori.
"Well. Let's keep going." said Lincoln as he walks on ahead. Lori looks at her sisters.
"Who knew Lincoln had a vengeful side?" asked Lori.
"Not me, that's for sure." said Ronnie Anne. While they walked, Lola was dragging her feet.
"Ugh. I don't want to have to walk through a desert!" said Lola.
"It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't wear high heels all the time." said Lana. Lincoln walks in front of Lola and kneels down.
"Hop on." said Lincoln. Lola looks at Lincoln with surprise.
"Why would you give me a piggyback ride after what I did to you?" asked Lola.
"I'm your big brother. I'm supposed to be there for you no matter what." said Lincoln. With a smile and tears in her eyes, she climbs onto Lincoln's back.
"Thanks, Linky." said Lola.
"No problem." said Lincoln. With Lola on his back, and Lily still latched to his head; he and the others start the walk through the Asado Desert.
"How far of a walk is it to Cascarrafa, Lincoln?" asked Lori.
"It's not that far. I'd say about five minutes; ten minutes tops." said Lincoln.
"That literally doesn't sound so bad." said Lori. As they walk through the desert, Lincoln sees a Star Piece in the sand and he bends down to pick it up.
"What's that?" asked Sam.
"Star Piece." said Lincoln. "A valuable gem that I can sell for 6,000 pokedollars." Everyone looks stunned at that fact.
"That sounds like a lot of money!" said Ronnie Anne.
"I find lots of stuff to sell. I have some Pearls and Big Pearls in my backpack." said Lincoln.
"You have pearls?!" asked Lola.
"I'll show them to you later." said Lincoln. As they continue to walk through the desert, they see something rolling fast through the sand towards them.
"What's that?" asked Luan. She got her answer when a gray, four-legged Pokemon with tusks, and a black covering on its back and trunk rolls in front of them and uncurls itself. Lincoln pulls out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Donphan, the Armor Pokemon, and the evolved form of Phanpy. Donphan is covered in tough hide, so even being hit by a car won't faze this Pokémon. However, it is extremely susceptible to rain." said the Rotom Phone. The Donphan digs his feet into the sand and stares at the group, menacingly.
"Stand back my little minnows." said Leonard as he pushes his grandchildren and everyone else behind him. "This thing looks aggressive." Lincoln grabs Lily off his head and hands him to Leonard and has Lola climb off him. He then takes out a pokeball and walks in front of everyone while Lily was reaching for him and crying.
"Lincoln! What are you doing?!" asked Clyde.
"I got this." said Lincoln. "This will give me a chance to try out a few things."
"What are you gonna do?" asked Clyde. Lincoln throws the pokeball and releases his Palafin.
"First thing I want to try: Palafin, use Flip Turn!" said Lincoln. Palafin flies towards the Donphan with water covering his tail and does a backflip, striking the Donphan, doing super effective damage and more thanks to his Mystic Water. All of a sudden, Palafin goes back into his pokeball, surprising everyone else.
"Why did Palafin return to his pokeball?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"An after effect of using Flip Turn. Palafin returns to his pokeball after using it." explained Lincoln. Another of Lincoln's pokeballs opened up and Lycanroc comes out.
"Why did Lycanroc come out?" asked Luna.
"Palafin is replaced with another Pokemon when he returns to his pokeball after using Flip Turn." said Lincoln. Lycanroc looks at Lincoln with surprise. "Sorry, buddy. Donphan would have an advantage over you." Lycanroc nods in understanding before Lincoln returns him to his pokeball.
"So what now?" asked Luan. Lincoln puts Lycanroc's pokeball away and pulls Palafin's pokeball back out.
"Now the second thing I want to try out." said Lincoln as he once again releases Palafin from his pokeball. Everyone, including Lincoln, were surprised by what Palafin looked like.
"That's Palafin?!" everyone but Lincoln replied. Palafin definitely looked different than before. His body was a darker shade of blue, he has a red, fin-shaped mark on his chest, he was standing on his tail that had three light blue rings made of water near his tail fin which looked like feet now; he was muscular, his fins were bigger and looked like arms now, he was wearing light blue gloves at the end of them made of water with a matching cowl on his back and eye coverings. Everyone was speechless. Lincoln continued to stare as he pointed his Rotom Phone at Palafin.
"Palafin Hero Form, the Dolphin Pokemon, and the evolved form of Finizen. This Pokémon's ancient genes have awakened. It is now so extraordinarily strong that it can easily lift a cruise ship with one fin." said the Rotom Phone. Everyone was shocked by what the Rotom Phone said.
"He's that strong?!" asked Lynn. Lincoln continues to stare at his transformed Palafin.
"What happened?!" asked Lana.
"Palafin's Zero to Hero ability. He transforms when he's returned to his pokeball during a battle and is sent back out." said Lincoln as he looked at Palafin who looks back at him and does a fist pump. "I was expecting him to transform, but I didn't expect anything SO AWESOME!" Lincoln runs around Palafin as he examines him. "This is the coolest thing ever! He's like a superhero!" Everyone else just chuckles at Lincoln's enthusiasm.
"Still obsessed with superheroes." said Ronnie Anne.
"But you have to admit that Palafin looks amazing." said Clyde. Everyone else nodded in agreement. Lincoln looks towards the Donphan with a look of determination on his face. The Donphan suddenly curls into a ball and rolls towards Lincoln and Palafin.
"Now for the third thing I want to try out. Palafin, use Jet Punch!" said Lincoln. In the blink of an eye, Palafin moves towards the Donphan with incredible speed while his fist was being surrounded by water and punches it so hard that the force of it released a shockwave through the desert, forcing everyone to shield their eyes from the sand that was scattered by it, as well as doing super effective damage to Donphan and sends it flying through a few tall rocks, and into a cliff wall. The Donphan then falls to the ground, stunned.
"Don...phan." said the Donphan. Everyone was stunned by Palafin's power.
"Remind me not to be on the receiving end of that punch." said Lynn.
"I will if you do the same for me." said Lucy from behind Lynn, scaring her. Everyone else nods in agreement. Palafin puts his fists onto his hips and looks up into the sky. Lincoln looks at Palafin at an angle that puts the bright sun behind his head, making him look more heroic.
"Whoa." said Lincoln with awe. All of a sudden, Palafin reverts back to his Zero Form.
"Why did Palafin change back?!" asked Lana.
"I think the transformation will only last the entire battle." said Lincoln.
"Well that stinks." said Lynn. Lincoln then returns Palafin to his pokeball.
"I'm definitely going to remember that for future battles." said Lincoln.
"Good idea." said Ronnie Anne. Lincoln walks back to the others and takes Lily from Leonard. Lily clings to Lincoln's chest this time and nuzzles it.
"Let's get going." said Lincoln as he kneels down so Lola can climb back on. They walk through the desert and soon reach Cascarrafa without any further incident. Once they do, Lincoln sets Lola back down. Everyone looks around the city.
"So this is Cascarrafa?" asked Leonard.
"Yes, Gramps." replied Lincoln.
"This place looks literally amazing." said Lori.
"If you think this place looks amazing, wait 'til you see Mesagoza." said Lincoln. "Okay. I have to report to the Pokemon League Building to report my success on completing the Gym Test, after that, I'll have my gym battle."
"Okay. Lead the way." said Lori. Just then, her stomach started to growl. "But let's get some lunch first." Lincoln sees a nearby sandwich shop called 'Every 'Wich Way'.
"Good call." said Lincoln. After everyone had lunch, which Lincoln paid for because everyone else didn't have pokedollars, they head over to the lifts and take them to the upper level of Cascarrafa and head inside the Pokemon League building. In the lobby, Lincoln sees Naranja Nemona at the front desk.
"Hey, Lincoln!" said Naranja Nemona.
"Hey, Nemona!" said Lincoln. Naranja Nemona runs up to Lincoln and hugs him, making him blush, his sisters giggle, and Ronnie Anne growl.
"What brings you here?" asked Naranja Nemona as she lets Lincoln go.
"I just got done with my Gym Test and I'm going to challenge Kofu to a gym battle." said Lincoln.
"That's great!" said Naranja Nemona. "Would it be okay if I watch?"
"I don't mind." said Lincoln. She smiles in response, then she notices Lily in Lincoln's arms.
"Who's the baby?" asked Naranja Nemona.
"This is my baby sister, Lily." said Lincoln. Naranja Nemona tickles Lily's chin, making her giggle.
"She's so adorable!" said Naranja Nemona. Lincoln turns around and waves towards his family and friends.
"Those people over there are my family and friends." said Lincoln. "That man over there is my grandfather, most of those girls are my other sisters, the boy with glasses is my best friend from America, Clyde; the girl with the purple hoodie is another one of my friends, Ronnie Anne; that teenager with the green shirt is her brother, Bobby, and that girl with the blonde hair with a little teal in it is my sister Luna's friend, Sam."
'Friend for now.' Luna thinks to herself with a blush as she looks at Sam. Naranja Nemona walks over to them.
"Who's this, Lincoln?" asked Lori. Lincoln walks over and stands next to Naranja Nemona.
"This is one of the first friends I made here in Paldea. Her name is Nemona." said Lincoln.
"It's nice to meet you all." said Naranja Nemona.
"It's totes nice to meet you too." said Leni. Ronnie Anne glares at Naranja Nemona, but she doesn't notice.
"So where's Uva Nemona?" asked Lincoln.
"She's outside the city, doing some training." said Naranja Nemona.
"Oh, okay." said Lincoln.
"Anyway, I'm gonna find a good spot to watch your gym battle." said Naranja Nemona.
"Okay. I'll see you out there." said Lincoln. Naranja Nemona then walks outside. Lincoln turns and walks to the front desk.
"Are you Lincoln Loud?" asked the receptionist who's at the desk.
"Yes, ma'am." said Lincoln.
"Kofu told me to expect you and has told me you passed your Gym Test." said the receptionist.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln.
"Are you ready for your gym battle then?" asked the receptionist.
"You bet I am." said Lincoln.
"Very well. The battle arena is just outside the building." said the receptionist.
"Thank you." said Lincoln. He and the others head outside. Lincoln sees the battlefield with Kofu standing at one end of it. Lincoln walks over and stands on the other end of it while everyone else stands with the crowd that gathered to watch the battle.
"Hello, Lincoln." said Kofu.
"Hello, sir." said Lincoln.
"Thanks again for winning that wakame seaweed for me in the auction. I really needed it." said Kofu.
"No problem, sir." said Lincoln. He then sees Lily in Lincoln's arms.
"Hello, Lily." said Kofu with a smile on his face. Lily smiles and waves at him, making Kofu chuckle. "Are you ready for your gym battle?"
"Yes, sir." said Lincoln. He then holds Lily out towards Leonard.
"Could you hold Lily for me, Gramps?" asked Lincoln. Leonard walks over and grabs Lily who cries loudly and reaches for Lincoln.
"I don't think she wants to leave you." said Leonard who hands Lily back to Lincoln.
"Umm. Is it okay if Lily stays with me while I battle?" Lincoln asked Kofu.
"As long as you can still battle, I don't see why not." said Kofu. "Besides, how can anyone say no to that cute little face." Lily giggles in response, making everyone in the crowd look at Lily with adoration.
"AWWWW!" said the crowd. A staff member walks to the side of the arena.
"This will be a three-on-three Pokemon battle between Kofu, the gym leader, and Lincoln Loud, the challenger." said the staff member. "Each side will use three Pokemon. The battle will end when one trainer's Pokemon is unable to battle. Let the battle begin!" Lincoln and Kofu each pull out a pokeball.
"Veluza, you're up!" said Kofu as he throw his pokeball and releases a gray, fishlike Pokemon with light purple fins and sharp teeth. Lincoln holds Lily with one arm, while pulling out his Rotom Phone from his pocket with his free hand and points it at the Pokemon Kofu sent out.
"Veluza, the Jettison Pokemon. When Veluza discards unnecessary flesh, its mind becomes honed and its psychic power increases. The spare flesh has a mild but delicious flavor." said the Rotom Phone. As Lincoln enlarges his pokeball, Lily reaches for it.
"You want to throw the pokeball, Lily?" asked Lincoln.
"Gah!" said Lily, nodding. Lincoln smiles at Lily and gives her the pokeball.
"Throw the pokeball, Lily." said Lincoln. Lily giggles as she tosses the pokeball with both hands and releases Lincoln's Floette. Lily's eyes shine with delight after seeing Floette.
"That's so adorable." said a girl in the crowd. Everyone takes out Rotom Phones and start taking pictures and recording the match. The Loud Sisters look around at everyone's reactions.
"I don't believe it. We've only been here about a few hours and Lily literally already has a fan base." said Lori.
"Can't blame them." said Leonard. "Lily's the cutest little thing around."
"Second cutest, next to me." said Lola as she flips her hair.
"Whatever." said Lana. Back at the battlefield, Lincoln was ready for battle.
"Floette, use Grassy Terrain!" said Lincoln. Floette waves her flower around, releasing hundreds of small glowing seeds which cover the battlefield. Seconds later, grass and flowers sprout out of the ground, amazing Lincoln's family and friends.
"Remarkable! There wasn't any soil for it to grow from." said Lisa. "These Pokemon are truly interesting creatures." Everyone else nods in agreement.
"Veluza, use Slash!" said Kofu. Veluza flies towards Floette and slashes her with its tail fin, knocking her back.
"Totes not cool!" exclaimed Leni. Lincoln looks back at her.
"Don't worry. I got this." said Lincoln. A green aura radiates from the grass and covers the Pokemon in it. The wound on Floette starts healing.
"Why is Floette's owie getting better?" asked Leni.
"One of the effects of Grassy Terrain is that it heals Pokemon bit by bit over time." explained Lincoln.
"That's good to hear." said Leni. Lincoln looks back towards the battle.
"Floette, use Draining Kiss!" said Lincoln. Floette flies towards Veluza and plants a kiss on Veluza's head.
"AWWW! That's totes cute!" said Leni. Veluza started to look exhausted as Floette's Draining Kiss drains its stamina and uses it to heal Floette more.
"Draining Kiss does more than look cute; it drains stamina from the Pokemon it's used on and heals the Pokemon that used the move." said Lincoln. Just then, Grassy Terrain kicks in and heals Floette a bit more. Everyone but Lincoln was shocked that Veluza was healed a little bit also.
"Does Grassy Terrain also heal your opponent's Pokemon, too?" asked Lola.
"Yeah." said Lincoln.
"Veluza, use Aqua Cutter!" said Kofu. Veluza's tail fin becomes surrounded by water and it slashes at Floette with it.
"Floette, dodge it!" said Lincoln. Floette twirls out of the Aqua Cutter's path, surprising Kofu.
"No way!" said Kofu.
"Yes way!" said Lincoln. "Another effect of Grassy Terrain is that it powers up grass type moves such as this one; Floette, use Razor Leaf!" Floette swings her flower and releases a barrage of leaves which hits Veluza, doing super effective damage and more thanks to Floette's Miracle Seed and Grassy Terrain. Veluza falls to the ground unconscious.
"Veluza!" yells Kofu.
"Veluza is unable to battle. Floette wins." said the staff member.
"Awesome work, Floette!" said Lincoln as Lily claps and giggles. Lincoln's family, friends, and the crowd cheer for him.
"Good job, Lincoln!" said Clyde.
"Keep it up, dude!" said Luna. Kofu returns Veluza to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Veluza." said Kofu. He puts Veluza's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Wugtrio, let's go!" He throws the pokeball and releases a Pokemon that looked like a bunch of rocks with three red worms sticking out of it.
"Eww! What is that?" asked Lola.
"I don't know, but it looks tasty." said Lana, drooling. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Wugtrio, the Garden Eel Pokemon, and the evolved form of Wiglett. It has a vicious temperament, contrary to what its appearance may suggest. It wraps its long bodies around prey, then drags the prey into its den." said the Rotom Phone.
"Wugtrio, Mud-Slap!" said Kofu. Wugtrio hits the ground with one of its heads and throws a glob of mud onto Floette's face, making her float back.
"Hey, Wugtrio; hit me with mud!" exclaimed Lana. Floette began floating around, blindly.
"What's wrong with Floette?" asked Lola.
"Mud-Slap lowers the accuracy of the Pokemon it hits." said Lincoln.
"What does that mean?" asked Leni.
"Basically, the Pokemon won't be able to hit an opponent as easily as it normally would." said Lincoln. "But don't worry, I have a way around that. Floette, Magical Leaf!" Floette spins her flower and releases glowing green leaves from it and they hit Wugtrio, causing super effective damage and more thanks to Grassy Terrain and Floette's Miracle Seed. Wugtrio struggles to stay upright. "The good thing about Magical Leaf is that it never misses its target." Grassy Terrain heals Floette and Wugtrio's wounds.
"Wugtrio, Headbutt!" said Kofu. One of Wugtrio's head stretches out and hits Floette, leaving a thin layer of goo around Floette's body. "And it looks like Wugtrio's Gooey ability has activated."
"What does that do?" asked Lana.
"Gooey decreases the speed of the Pokemon that gets hit physically by the Pokemon with the ability." said Kofu.
"Floette, Vine Whip!" said Lincoln. Floette holds out her flower, and a green vine comes out of it and hits Wugtrio, dealing super effective damage and knocking it out.
"No, Wugtrio!" said Kofu.
"Wugtrio is unable to battle. Floette wins." said the staff member.
"Way to go, Floette!" said Lincoln.
"Gah gah!" cheered Lily. Lincoln's family, friends, and the crowd cheered as well.
"Way to go, Linc!" cheered Ronnie Anne.
"That's my little minnow!" cheered Leonard.
"That was literally incredible." said Lori. Kofu returns Wugtrio to its pokeball.
"You were great, Wugtrio." said Kofu. He puts Wugtrio's pokeball away and pulls out his last one. "Crabominable, come out!" Kofu then throws his pokeball, releasing a large, furry, white, crablike Pokemon with large claws that look like they have paw prints on them. Lincoln pulls out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Crabominable, the Woolly Crab Pokemon, and the evolved form of Crabrawler. The detached pincers of these Pokémon are delicious. Some Trainers bring Lechonk into the mountains just to search for them." said the Rotom Phone.
"That thing kind of looks like that Crabrawler that was knocking Lynn around back in Porto Marinada." said Luan.
"That thing just got in some cheap shots!" said Lynn.
"Yeah; seventy-five of them." said Lori. Lynn growls at her. Back on the battlefield, Kofu takes out a Tera Orb, making Lincoln's eyes widen.
"I'm guessing you're going to Terastilize your Crabominable." said Lincoln.
"Exactly." said Kofu as he throws his Tera Orb over Crabominable, making crystals pop out of the ground and covering it. Lincoln's friends and family were surprised.
"What's going on?" asked Lola. The crystals suddenly shatter, revealing Crabominable now had crystallized skin and a crystallized geyser coming out of its head.
"What happened?" asked Luan.
"He Terastilized his Crabominable." said Lincoln.
"What does that mean?" asked Lisa.
"I'll tell you later." said Lincoln.
"What will you do now, Lincoln?" asked Kofu.
"Well we're not giving up, that's for sure! Right, Floette?" asked Lincoln. Floette looks back at Lincoln and nods. "Okay, Floette. Use Wish!" Floette closes her eyes and begins muttering something. A ball of light suddenly shoots out of her flower and into the sky.
"What does that do?" asked Lola.
"I don't know, but it's pretty." said Leni. Kofu stares up at where the ball of light went, then back at Lincoln.
"I don't know what you're up to, Lincoln; but I'll stop you before it happens." said Kofu. "Crabominable, use Rock Smash!" The Crabominable lunges at Floette and slams its claw down on her, knocking her to the ground, but not doing much damage due to fighting type moves not being very effective against fairy type Pokemon. Floette suddenly started to droop.
"Rock Smash has a chance of lowering the defense of the Pokemon it's used on." said Lincoln. Floette floats back up and stares at Crabominable. Grassy Terrain's healing effect heals Floette's wound a little.
"Thank goodness for that Grassy Terrain." said Lori. All of a sudden, the Grassy Terrain disappears.
"Where did it go?" asked Clyde.
"Grassy Terrain is only temporary." said Lincoln.
"So, what now?" asked Lana.
"We'll keep battling no matter what!" said Lincoln.
"That's right, Lincoln!" said Lynn. "Don't back down!" Lincoln looks at Lynn.
"Backing down isn't exactly on my 'to do list' for this match!" said Lincoln who then looks back towards the battle. "Floette, use Draining Kiss again!" Floette floats at Crabominable and plants a Draining Kiss onto it, draining some of its stamina, and healing Floette.
"Good thing my Crabominable is a water type now instead of part fighting type; otherwise, that would've done a lot of damage." said Kofu. "Okay, Crabominable. Use Crabhammer!" The crystal geyser on Crabominable's head spouts out water, powering up the Crabhammer as it slams down onto Floette, sending it crashing to the ground.
"Not cool!" said Lana. All of Lincoln's sisters shout their disdain for what Crabominable did to Floette. Meanwhile, Floette struggles to get up.
"This battle is almost over." said Kofu. Lincoln looks at Kofu with a smile. "What are you smiling about?" Lincoln points up. Everyone looks and sees the ball of light from earlier fall down from the sky and onto Floette. A white light covers Floette's body and heals her.
"Wish is a delayed move that heals a Pokemon sometime after it's used." said Lincoln. Floette floats up and stares at Crabominable.
"Hurry, Crabominable! Use Slam!" said Kofu. Crabominable leaps towards Floette with its claws raised.
"Look out, Floette!" said Leni.
"Petal Blizzard, now!" said Lincoln. Floette swings her flower, releasing hundreds of petals from it, doing super effective damage to Crabominable, thanks to it being a water type now which are vulnerable to grass type moves, along with the power up from Floette's Miracle Seed, and sends it flying. Everyone watches as petals float all around.
"It's so pretty." said Lola with glee in her eyes. Crabominable crashes down onto the ground and its crystal skin and geyser shatter. The staff member runs over to Crabominable and sees it was knocked out.
"Crabominable is unable to battle! Floette is the winner! That means the winner of this battle is the challenger, Lincoln Loud!" said the staff member.
"Woohoo! We did it, Floette!" said Lincoln. Floette smiles as she floats over to Lincoln and hugs him. Lincoln holds Lily in his left arm, Floette in his left hand, and uses his right hand to pull a handkerchief out of his pants pocket and uses it to wipe the goo from Wugtrio's Gooey ability off of Floette's body. "You were great, Floette. I'm so proud of you." Lily grabs Floette in a hug and nuzzles her, making Lincoln smile and hug both of them. The crowd was cheering loudly.
"That was incredible!" said a boy in the crowd.
"He beat Master Kofu with just one Pokemon!" said another boy.
"I'm uploading this match!" said a girl.
"Me, too." said a boy. Kofu returns Crabominable to its pokeball.
"You were incredible, Crabominable. I'm proud of you." said Kofu. He puts Crabominable's pokeball in his apron pocket and walks over to Lincoln, who was still hugging Lily and Floette. "You have defeated me, Lincoln. You are quite the trainer."
"Thanks, Master Kofu." said Lincoln. Kofu reaches into another apron pocket and pulls out a badge that had a symbol of a water drop on it.
"And as proof of your victory against me, Lincoln, I award you with the Cascarrafa gym badge." He gives Lincoln the badge.
"Thanks, Master Kofu." said Lincoln.
"And to commerate this moment; how about a picture of us together?" asked Kofu.
"Okay." said Lincoln with a smile.
"I can try something I wanted to do for a photo." said Kofu. They took a picture of Lincoln holding out the hand that wasn't holding Lily, while Kofu doing a pose in the background at an angle that made it look like Lincoln was holding him in the palm of his hand and Lily was looking at him with a smile.
"This is a great picture, sir. Thanks." said Lincoln. Kofu nods and walks away. Lincoln's family and friends suddenly gather around Lincoln and picked him up along with Lily and Floette.
"Way to go, little bro!" cheered Luna.
"That was extraordinary!" said Lisa.
"You whooped Kofu, Linc!" said Ronnie Anne.
"You were literally incredible!" said Lori. After a minute, they set Lincoln down onto the ground. Lincoln returns Floette to her pokeball, just as Naranja Nemona runs over to Lincoln and starts hugging him.
"That was an awesome match! Your Floette was incredible!" said Naranja Nemona as she nuzzles Lincoln's cheek, making him blush. All of a sudden, Lincoln was yanked out of Naranja Nemona's hug by an irate Ronnie Anne who was pulling Lincoln away while holding his hand.
"Thanks for the compliment, but Lincoln has places to be." said Ronnie Anne as she glares at Naranja Nemona who glares back at her. Lincoln's sisters, Gramps, Sam, and Bobby chuckle at this.
"How cute. My little sister's jealous." said Bobby. Ronnie Anne growls at Bobby, who looks away with a smile.
"Let's hurry and catch up with them." said Lori as she and the rest of them follow after Lincoln. Lincoln has just won his fourth badge with the support of his family and friends. What's next for the Loud Crew as Lincoln's Treasure Hunt assignment continues?
Meanwhile, back in Royal Woods, the Fox Quintuplets were in the Loud residence in a ransacked living room, running around, jumping up and down on the couch, and laughing maniacally while Lynn Sr and Rita were huddled together in a corner, trembling and bruised.
"Now I see why Lori, Leni, Luna, and Luan were never eager to babysit these kids." said Rita. "Oh well. This seems like an appropriate punishment for what we did to Lincoln."
"You're right about that." said Lynn Sr. They gasped as the Fox Quintuplets leaped towards them. More pain followed after that.
