Levincia Gym Battles (Part Three)
As soon as Butters exited the Pokemon League Building, he hears Naranja Iono's voice ring out.
"Ladies aaand gentlemens! It's time for the Iono Zone!" said Naranja Iono. "Hey, hey, hey! Your eyeballs are MINE! Caught in my Electroweb! Whosawhatsit? Iono! 'Ello, 'ello, hola! Ciao, and bonjour!"
"Hi, Iono." said Butters, waving.
"Are you ready for your Gym Test?" asked Naranja Iono.
"You bet, and I already know what I need to do, Iono." said Butters. "I have to help you get more viewers by playing 'Where in Levincia is Iono?', right?"
"Exactly." said Naranja Iono. "Whenever you're ready, you can get started." The Uva Iono comes over to Butters.
"While my Pokemon are being treated, you'll be looking for me." said Uva Iono.
"Okay." said Butters. He was able to find Uva Iono, as well as defeat the gym trainers. His Pokemon gained experience, getting stronger and his Charcadet learned Flame Charge.
"Well, Butters, since your performance got so many viewers, you pass the Gym Test." said Naranja Iono.
"Oh boy." said Butters. He runs back to the Pokemon League Building and walks to the receptionist.
"Congratulations on passing your Gym Test, Butters." said the receptionist.
"Thank you, ma'am." said Butters. The receptionist types something on her computer, and Butter's Rotom Phone chimed. He looks at it and sees a map of Levincia on the screen. On the map was a dot that was on a large stage area.
"The location marked on the map on your Rotom Phone is where you'll be having your gym battle with Iono. Just head over to the location to do your gym battle." said the receptionist.
"Sure thing." said Butters. He heads over to the area marked on his map and soon reaches the stage where he's seen Lincoln, Cartman, Kyle, and Stan battle with Iono. He quickly sees Naranja Iono standing there with her Rotom Phone floating in front of her.
"Ladies aaand gentlemens! It's time for the Iono Zone!" said Naranja Iono. "Hey, hey, hey! Your eyeballs are MINE! Caught in my Electroweb! Whosawhatsit? Iono! 'Ello, 'ello, hola! Ciao, and bonjour!" Her Rotom Phone moves to a position so that she and Butters were both in the picture. "My next challenger is soaring high like a Wattrel! Iiiitttt's Butters! Yaaay!" She then walks up to Butters and stands next to him. "So how are you doing today?"
"I'm doing good, Iono." replied Butters. Naranja Iono then walks over to one side of the stage and turns to face Butters. A digital face appears on one of the screens.
"This is an official gym battle between Iono, the gym leader, and Butters, the challenger." said the digital face. "Each side will use four Pokemon. The battle will end when one trainer's pokemon are unable to battle. Let the battle begin." Butters and Iono each pull out a pokeball.
"You're up, Wattrel!" said Naranja Iono, throwing her pokeball and releasing her Wattrel.
"Let's go, Tinkatink!" said Butters, throwing Tinkatink's pokeball and releasing her.
"Wattrel, use Spark!" said Naranja Iono. Wattrel becomes surrounded by electricity and flies at Tinkatink, crashing into her, knocking her back.
"Tinkatink, Draining Kiss!" said Butters. Tinkatink leaps up at Wattrel and kisses it, draining some of its energy and healing some of Tinkatink's wounds.
"Use Spark again!" said Naranja Iono. Wattrel becomes surrounded by electricity and flies at Tinkatink.
"Dodge it!" said Butters. Tinkatink leaps to the side, dodging Wattrel's Spark attack. "Use Covet!" Tinkatink swings her hammer at Wattrel and hits it, knocking it to the ground. It struggles to get up.
"Spark!" said Naranja Iono. Wattrel flies at Tinkatink while surrounded by electricity and rams into Tinkatink. She becomes surrounded by electricity and she shudders.
"Oh hamburgers, Tinkatink's paralyzed." said Butters. "Tinkatink, try using Covet!" Tinkatink fights through her paralysis and smashes her hammer onto Wattrel, knocking it to the ground with swirly eyes.
"Wattrel is unable to battle. Tinkatink wins." said the digital head.
"Oh boy." said Butters. Naranja Iono returns Wattrel to its pokeball.
"You were spectacular, Wattrel." said Naranja Iono. She puts Wattrel's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Bellibolt, you're on!" She throws Bellibolt's pokeball and releases it. "Use Water Gun!" Bellibolt sprays water out of its mouth and it hits Tinkatink.
"Use Rock Smash!" said Butters. Tinkatink fights through her paralysis and smashes her club onto Bellibolt, damaging it and weakening its defense. Bellibolt begins surging with electricity.
"Looks like Bellibolt's Electromorphosis ability has activated." said Naranja Iono. "Now Bellibolt's next electric attack will be much stronger. Bellibolt, Spark!" Bellibolt becomes surrounded by electricity and rams into Tinkatink, knocking her to the ground, unconscious.
"Oh no, Tinkatink." said Butters.
"Tinkatink is unable to battle. Bellibolt wins." said the digital head.
"Great job out there." said Naranja Iono. Bellibolt hops up and down. Butters returns Tinkatink to her pokeball.
"Good job out there, Tinkatink." said Butters. He puts Tinkatink's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Go, Skiddo." He throws Skiddo's pokeball and releases her. "Skiddo, Razor Leaf!" Skiddo releases leaves from her mane and they hit Bellibolt, knocking it back.
"Bellibolt, Tackle!" said Naranja Iono. Bellibolt bounces at Skiddo and rams her.
"Use Growth!" said Butters. Skiddo becomes surrounded by a green glow, increasing her strength.
"Mud-Slap!" said Naranja Iono. Bellibolt launches mud at Skiddo, hitting her, but not doing much damage due to ground type moves not being very effective against grass type Pokemon, but Skiddo's accuracy lowers.
"Razor Leaf!" said Butters. Skiddo launches more leaves at Bellibolt, hitting it and doing more damage due to Growth powering up her attack strength. Bellibolt falls to the ground, unconscious.
"Bellibolt is unable to battle. Skiddo wins." said the digital face.
"You did it, Skiddo." said Butters. Skiddo stands on her hind legs and waves her front ones. Naranja Iono returns Bellibolt to its pokeball.
"Great job out there, Bellibolt." said Naranja Iono. She puts Bellibolt's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Luxio, you're up!" She throws Luxio's pokeball and releases it. It glares at Skiddo, making her nervous and weaking her attack strength. "And Luxio's Intimidate takes effect. Okay, Luxio, Bite!" Luxio charges at Skiddo and bites her, dealing damage to her. Fortunately, Skiddo doesn't flinch.
"Skiddo, Leech Seed!" said Butters. Skiddo shoots a seed from her mane onto Luxio. It opens up and leafy vines wrap around Luxio. They glow red, draining energy from Luxio and gets absorbed into Skiddo, healing her wounds.
"Luxio, use Leer!" said Naranja Iono. Luxio glares at Skiddo and its eyes glow red, weakening Skiddo's defense.
"Razor Leaf!" said Butters. Skiddo launches leaves at Luxio, hitting it. Leech Seed drains more of Luxio's energy and healing more of Skiddo's wounds.
"Luxio, Bite!" said Naranja Iono. Luxio runs at Skiddo and bites her leg, dealing more damage due to her defense being weakened, and making her flinch. Leech Seed drains more of Luxio's energy and healing Skiddo. "Use Spark!" Luxio becomes surrounded by electricity and rams Skiddo, doing moderate damage due to her defense being weakened, and also paralyzing Skiddo. Leech Seed drains more energy from Luxio.
"Razor Leaf!" said Butters. Skiddo fights through her paralysis and launches more leaves at Luxio, hitting it and knocking it out.
"Luxio, no!" said Naranja Iono.
"Luxio is unable to battle. Skiddo wins." said the digital face.
"Great work, Skiddo." said Butters. Skiddo nods in response. Iono returns Luxio to hits pokeball.
"You did great, Luxio. I'm sure our viewers think so too." said Naranja Iono. She puts Luxio's pokeball away and pulls out another. "You're doing awesome so far, Butters, but let's see Skiddo handle Misamagius." She throws Misamagius pokeball and releases her. She pulls out her Tera Orb and throws it at Mismagius. Crystal pillars form around her and they shatter, revealing Mismagius in her Tera Form. "Use Phantom Force!" A portal appears below Mismagius and she floats into it and it disappears. Butters and Skiddo look around for Mismagius when a portal appears near Skiddo. Mismagius floats up from it and she strikes Skiddo, dealing more damage due to her defense being weakened by Luxio's Leer, knocking her to the ground.
"Try using Leech Seed!" said Butters. Unfortunately, paralysis stops her from using it.
"Use Hex!" said Iono. Misamagius raises her arms and forms a ball of black energy with a red eye in the middle of it. She launches it and it hits Skiddo, dealing major damage to her due to Hex doing more damage to a Pokemon with a status condition, knocking her to the ground. Skiddo struggles to get up.
"Use Tail Whip!" said Butters. Skiddo fights through her paralysis, leaps at Mismagius, and wags her tail onto Misamagius, weakening her defense.
"Hex one more time!" said Iono. Mismagius launches another Hex at Skiddo, hitting her, and knocking her out.
"No, Skiddo!" said Butters.
"Skiddo is unable to battle. Mismagius is the winner." said the digital face.
"Great work, Mismagius." said Naranja Iono. Mismagius raises her arms and cheers. Butters returns Skiddo to her pokeball.
"You were awesome, Skiddo." said Butters. He puts Skiddo's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Charcadet, go!" He throws Charcadet's pokeball and releases him. "Charcadet, Flame Charge!" Charcadet becomes surrounded by fire and charges at Mismagius, ramming into her, dealing a lot of damage due to Charcadet's Charcoal powering up his fire attacks, and Mismagius defense being weakened by Skiddo's Tail Whip, knocking Mismagius back. Charcadet begins surging with energy from Flame Charge, increasing his speed.
"Charge Beam!" said Naranja Iono. Mismagius holds out her arms and unleashes a yellow beam of electricty at Charcadet, hitting him. Mismagius begins surging with electricity from Charge Beam, powering up her special attack strength.
"Fire Spin!" said Butters. Charcadet unleashes streaks of fire from his helmet holes and they surrounded Mismagius, damaging her.
"Hex!" said Naranja Iono. Mismagius launches another Hex at Charcadet.
"Dodge it!" said Butters. Charcadet runs to the side, avoiding Hex. Fire Spin circles around Mismagius and damages her. "Flame Charge!" Charcadet becomes surrounded by fire and charges at Mismagius and rams into her, dealing critical damage, shattering her Tera Form and knocking her out.
"Mismagius is unable to battle. Charcadet wins. The winner of this gym battle is the challenger, Butters." said the digital face.
"You did it, Charcadet!" said Butters, running to Charcadet and hugs him while he hugs him back. Naranja Iono returns Mismagius to her pokeball.
"You were spectacular, Mismagius." said Naranja Iono. She puts Mismagius pokeball away and walks over to Butters. "You were awesome, Butters. You too, Charcadet."
"Thanks, Iono." said Butters. Charcadet nods. Iono looks at her Rotom Phone.
"Well I hate to say it everyone, but I lost!" said Naranja Iono. "Let's hear it for Butters, everyone! And what does my challenger get for defeating me? The lean, mean, streamin' queen?" asked Naranja Iono as she pulls a gym badge with a lightning bolt on it out of her sleeve. "A Levincia Gym Badge! Yaaay!" She then hands the gym badge, along with some pokedollars to Butters. "How about a photo of us together to remember our battle by?"
"Sure, Iono." said Butters. After he and Naranja Iono took a picture of the two of them doing a pose together, Butters heads back to the Pokemon League building where his friends were waiting.
"You were awesome, Butters." said Kyle.
"Great battling out there." said Kenny.
"Thanks, fellas." said Butters. He then turns to Trent and gives him half the pokedollars he just won. Stan turns to Kenny.
"Looks like you're next, Kenny." said Stan. Kenny walks up to the receptionist.
"I'll be facing Iono next, ma'am." said Kenny.
"Very well. Just step outside to begin your Gym Test." said the receptionist.
"You got this, dude." said Kyle.
"Yeah!" said Stan.
"Thanks, guys." said Kenny. Once Kenny steps outside, he hears Uva Iono's voice ring out.
"Ladies aaand gentlemens! It's time for the Iono Zone!" said Uva Iono. "Hey, hey, hey! Your eyeballs are MINE! Caught in my Electroweb! Whosawhatsit? Iono! 'Ello, 'ello, hola! Ciao, and bonjour!"
"Hey, Iono!" said Kenny.
"Are you ready to do your Gym Test?" asked Uva Iono.
"Yeah, I'm ready for a game of 'Where in Levincia is Iono?'." said Kenny.
"Okay, then. Let's get started." said Uva Iono. Just then, Naranja Iono walks over to him.
"Hey! While my Pokemon are being treated, you'll be searching for me!" said Naranja Iono.
"You got it!" said Kenny. Naranja Iono runs off to start the game. Like his friends, Kenny uses the city's surveillance cameras to locate Naranja Iono three times, with a trainer coming out to challenge him after each time. He would've been done sooner, but Kenny was distracted when he saw some attractive women and spent time looking at them. Soon, Kenny completes the Gym Test.
"Well, Kenny, since your performance got so many viewers, despite the time you spent looking at women, you pass the Gym Test!" said Uva Iono.
"Cool!" said Kenny. He heads back to the Pokemon League Building and walks over to the receptionist.

"Wattrel, you're on!" said Uva Iono as she releases her Wattrel from its pokeball.
"Shellder, come out!" said Kenny as he releases his Shellder from her pokeball, surprising Uva Iono.
"Ummm. You do remember I use electric type Pokemon, right?" asked Uva Iono.
"Yes I do." said Kenny as he pulls his Tera Orb out of his pants pocket.
"You're Terastillizing your Pokemon right off the bat?!" asked Uva Iono.
"And for good reason." said Kenny as he throws his Tera Orb over Shellder, making crystal pillars appear around her. They soon shatter, showing Shellder with a crystallized body, as well as having a crystal half planet on her head. "You see, Shellder's Tera Form is a ground type one, so now she's immune to electric attacks."
"I see." said Uva Iono. "That's pretty clever!"
"Thanks." said Kenny. "Shellder, use Ice Shard!" Shellder releases a barrage of ice chunks, which hits Wattrel, doing super effective damage, thanks to being vulnerable to ice type attacks, due to it being part flying type.
"Wattrel, use Pluck!" said Uva Iono. Wattrel flies at Shellder and jabs her with its beak.
"Shellder, Withdraw!" said Kenny. Shellder closes her shell and boosts her defense.
"Wattrel, use Quick Attack!" said Uva Iono. Wattrel flies at Shellder at fast speed and hits her, not doing a lot, thanks to Shellder's increased defense.
"Shellder, use Aurora Beam!" said Kenny. Shellder opens her shell and releases a multicolored beam of light which hits Wattrel, doing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
"Wattrel is unable to battle. Shellder is the winner." said the digital face.
"Yes! Way to go, Wattrel!" said Kenny. Uva Iono returns Wattrel to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Wattrel!" said Uva Iono. She puts Wattrel's pokeball away and pulls out another one. She throws it, releasing her Bellibolt.
"Shellder, use Ice Shard!" said Kenny. Shellder hits Bellibolt with a quick Ice Shard, and damages it. All of a sudden, Bellibolt's Electromorphosis ability activates.
"Since your Shellder is part ground, Bellibolt's Electromorphosis doesn't really help out against it right now." said Uva Iono. "But that also means she's weak against water attacks."
"Oh man, that's right!" said Kenny. Uva Iono smirks at Kenny.
"Bellibolt, use Water Gun!" said Uva Iono. Bellibolt sprays a large stream of water out of its mouth, hitting Shellder, and doing super effective damage. Shellder struggles to stay up.
"Hurry, Shellder! Use Tackle!" said Kenny. Shellder hops at Bellibolt and slams into it.
"Bellibolt! Use Tackle right back at it!" said Uva Iono. Bellibolt hits Shellder with a Tackle attack of its own, doing enough damage to shatter Shellder's Tera Form, and knocking her out.
"Shellder is unable to battle. Bellibolt is the winner." said the digital face.
"Yaay! Way to go, Bellibolt!" said Uva Iono. Bellibolt hops in celebration. Kenny returns Shellder to her pokeball.
"You did your best, Shellder." said Kenny. He puts Shellder's pokeball away, and pulls out another one. He throws it, releasing his Capsakid.
"Uh oh!" said Uva Iono. "Almost all of Bellibolt's moves won't do any good against that Pokemon."
"Good." said Kenny. "Capsakid, use Growth!" Capsakid started drawing in energy into himself, making him grow, and increasing his attack strengths.
"Bellibolt, use Mud-Slap!" said Uva Iono. Bellibolt hits Capsakid with a Mud-Slap. Although it didn't do a lot of damage, thanks to grass type Pokemon being resistant to ground type moves, it did lower his accuracy. "At least this way your Capsakid is less likely to hit my Pokemon with its attacks!"
"Maybe, but that doesn't mean I won't stop trying!" said Kenny. "Capsakid, use Razor Leaf!" Capsakid releases a barrage of leaves, and manages to hit Bellibolt, and thanks to the power up from his Miracle Seed, along with Growth, it was enough to knock Bellibolt out.
"Bellibolt is unable to battle. Capsakid is the winner." said the digital face.
"Yes! Way to go, Capsakid!" said Kenny. Capsakid looks at Kenny and smiles. Uva Iono returns Bellibolt to its pokeball.
"You were great, Bellibolt!" said Uva Iono. She puts Bellibolt's pokeball away and gets out another one. She throws it and releases her Luxio. It suddenly becomes covered in a dark aura, and it glares harshly at Capsakid, making him nervous, and weakening his attack power.
"Man, that Intimidate ability is tough to handle." said Kenny.
"You know it!" said Uva Iono. "Luxio, use Ice Fang!" Luxio runs at Capsakid with its fangs coated in ice, and bites down on him, doing super effective damage, due to ice type moves being super effective against grass types.
"Hurry, Capsakid! Use Bullet Seed!" said Kenny. Capsakid sprays a barrage of glowing seeds out of his mouth, and even though he's still affected by Luxio's Intimidate ability, his Miracle Seed and Growth move make up for it.
"Luxio, use Bite!" said Uva Iono. Luxio runs at Capsakid and bites him, doing enough damage to knock him out.
"Capsakid is unable to battle. Luxio is the winner." said the digital face.
"Way to go, Luxio!" said Uva Iono. Luxio does a backflip for the people watching the battle in person, or online. Kenny returns Capsakid to his pokeball.
"You were great, Capsakid!" said Kenny. He puts Capsakid's pokeball away and pulls out another one. He throws it, releasing his Nymble. "Okay, Nymble! Use Screech!" Nymble unleashes a loud, high-pitched sound which makes Luxio cover his ears, lowering his defense.
"Luxio, use Spark!" said Uva Iono. Luxio coats his body in electricity, and it rams Nymble, knocking him back.
"Nymble, use Double Kick!" said Kenny. Nymble jumps at Luxio and delivers two strong kicks to its head, and doing more damage than normal, thanks to Luxio's decreased defense.
"Luxio, use Tackle!" said Uva Iono. Luxio rams Nymble with a Tackle attack.
"Nymble! Use Bug Bite!" said Kenny. Nymble bites down on Luxio, doing enough damage to knock it out.
"Luxio is unable to battle! Nymble is the winner." said the digital face.
"Good job, Nymble!" said Kenny. Nymble jumps for joy before it suddenly freezes up.
"What's with your Nymble?" asked Uva Iono. She got her answer when Nymble started glowing.
"Nymble's evolving!" said Kenny. He and Uva Iono both watch as Nymble started to change before their eyes. When the glowing stopped, Nymble stood on its two back legs, his eyes were sharp and orange, his face, wings, upper body, forearms, and thighs were black; his wings were serrated with orange edges, along with the back of his thighs, and he had small orange edges on his wrists. Kenny pulls out his Rotom Phone and points it at his newly evolved Pokemon.
"Lokix, the Grasshopper Pokemon, and the evolved form of Nymble. When it decides to fight all out, it stands on its previously folded legs to enter Showdown Mode. It neutralizes its enemies in short order." said the Rotom Phone.
"This is awesome beyond measure!" said Kenny.
"I know! Your Lokix looks so cool!" said Uva Iono. She looks at her Rotom Phone and sees lots of comments about Lokix. "And a lot of my viewers agree with me!"
"And my Rotom Phone says that my new Lokix is part dark type now, and he just learned Lunge, Low Kick, and Detect." said Kenny. Uva Iono returns her Luxio to its pokeball.
"Well even though your Lokix is super cool-looking, I'm still going to defeat it!" said Uva Iono. She puts Luxio's pokeball away and pulls out her last one. She throws it, releasing her Mismagius. She then pulls out her Tera Orb and throws it at Mismagius, making crystals appear around her. They shatter, revealing Mismagius in her Tera Form.
"You still okay to battle, Lokix?" asked Kenny. Lokix looks back at Kenny and nods. "Okay. Use Lunge!" Luxio lunges at Mismagius and tackles her to the ground, along with weakening her attack power.
"Mismagius, use Mystical Fire!" said Uva Iono. Mismagius forms a ring of fire in front of herself and releases a stream of fire through it towards Lokix.
"Lokix, Detect!" said Kenny. Lokix's eyes glint and he dodges the fire.
"No way!" said Uva Iono.
"You better believe it!" said Kenny. "Now use Double Kick!" Lokix jumps at Mismagius and delivers two kicks to her.
"Mismagius, use Power Gem!" said Uva Iono. Mismagius releases a sparking beam of energy at Lokix.
"Lokix, Endure!" said Kenny. Power Gem hits Lokix, doing super effective damage; but thanks to Endure, Lokix was able to handle it. Kenny noticed that Lokix was looking exhausted. "Do you still want to battle?" Lokix looks at Kenny and nods.
"Your Lokix has guts!" said Uva Iono. "But that won't be enough to win!"
"We'll see." said Kenny.
"Yes, we will." said Uva Iono. "Mismagius, Charge Beam!" Mismagius releases a beam of electricity at Lokix.
"Use Detect!" said Kenny. Lokix tried to do so, but it doesn't work, and he gets hit by the Charge Beam. Unfortunately, it was too much for Lokix, and he passes out.
"Lokix is unable to battle. Mismagius is the winner." said the digital face.
"Man, that Lokix was tough." said Uva Iono. "But it wasn't tough enough!" Kenny returns Lokix to his pokeball.
"You were amazing, Lokix!" said Kenny. He puts Lokix's pokeball away and pulls out his last one. He throws it, releasing his Clodsire. "I know your Mismagius has the Levitate ability, so I won't waste time trying to use a ground type move."
"So, what will you do now?" asked Uva Iono.
"Win this!" said Kenny. "Clodsire, use Slam!" Clodsire jumps at Mismagius and slams his tail down onto her, sending her crashing to the ground.
"Mismagius, use Mystical Fire!" said Uva Iono. Mismagius uses Mystical Fire again, this time it hits its target.
"Time to end this! Clodsire, use Poison Tail!" said Kenny. Clodsire's tail glowed purple and he strikes Mismagius with it, sending her crashing to the ground, shattering her Tera Form in the process, and knocking her out.
"Mismagius is unable to battle. Clodsire is the winner. That means the winner of the battle is the challenger, Kenny." said the digital face.
"We did it, Clodsire!" said Kenny. Clodsire smiles at Kenny. Uva Iono returns her Mismagius to her pokeball.
"You were great, Mismagius!" said Uva Iono. She then walks over and stands next to Kenny. "Well, I hate to say it everyone, but I lost! Let's hear it for Kenny, everyone! And what does my challenger get for defeating me? The lean, mean, streamin' queen?" Uva Iono pulls a gym badge with a lightning bolt on it out of her sleeve. "A Levincia Gym Badge! Yaaay!" She then hands the gym badge, along with some pokedollars to Butters. "How about a photo of us together to remember our battle by?"
"That would be awesome!" said Kenny. After he and Uva Iono took a picture of the two of them doing a pose together, Kenny heads back to the Pokemon League building where his friends were waiting. He walks over to Trent and gives him half the pokedollars he just won.
"That was so cool!" said Stan.
"And your new Lokix looks super sweet!" said Kyle.
"Not as sweet as my Pokemon." said Cartman.
"Whatever." said Kenny. With that, the boys have earned their third gym badges. What will they do next as their Treasure Hunts continue?
