Chapter 5: Spagonia Nighttime Rumble

The scene opens with the whole main cast looking over a cliff that shows the sea as they soon looked up.

The next scene show everyone having a good time with Sonic eating some chili dogs, Erza enjoying a strawberry cake, Lucy dining into a sundae, Wendy drinking her juice while Happy and Chip were fighting over an ice cream while Carla looked at them with a blank look on her face. Natsu and Gray were squabbling with each other as usual as Erza steps in and bonks them on the head to stop them as most of the group had a light chuckle while Carla just sighed as Natsu and Gray's stupidity.

The next scene shows Tails working on his plane with a smile on his face, Amy waving towards the group with a big smile on her face, the people of Spagonia doing the same as Amy with Professor Pickle only nodding with a small smile on his face.

The next scene shows three dark figures: one in the shape of a giant bird, another in the shape of a serpent, and finally a form of what looks like a goblin with a really big hammer. Standing behind them is a giant creatures face covered in darkness as the only thing that can be identified is the glowing eyes. The scene shifts to Dr. Eggman cackling as he gave off a pose with his arms raised with his EggBots standing behind.

The next scene shows the main cast at night being surrounded by Dark Gaia's minions when they get ready with their own magic while Sonic enters his Werehog Form as he gave of a growl.

Dark Gaia's Minions charges forward to attack the group as the Were-Sonic, Natsu and the others charged right back!

The next scene shows the whole group handing Dark Gaia's minions with Natsu using his Fire Dragon Slayer magic, Grey with his Ice-Make magic, Erza with her Re-Quip magic, Lucy with her Celestial Zodiac Summoning magic, and Wendy with her Sky Dragon Slayer Magic.

The next scene show Sonic taking down multiple enemies in his Werehog with unique combos and attack, then when the sun rises he shift back to his normal form as he returns to the group.

The scene shifts to the whole cast standing before Eggman in his Egg Dragoon and the giant shadowed figure from before. Sonic and Natsu smirked as they both charged at the foes with the others following behind them. A flash of bright light occurred when the two enemies stuck!

The final scene was the same cliff area from the first scene but the only thing there was Chips bracelet.
In Another Location On Earth
On the still broken planet of Earth, minus one pieces of the planet now back into place, in a random area of the skies lies a unusual thing to see. A floating island. It is a massive piece of land that is floating high up above in the clouds and the flora and fauna is not out of the ordinary. But there is one area on this island that has gigantic mushrooms growing. Topographically, the island has terrain that varies from plains to plateau-like in attitude. At the center of this floating island, there is a line of massive mountains, with an icy alp and some volcanoes found there. This is Angel Island.
In one open clear area of this island lies a ancient stone structure. The stone structure has two stone circles stacked on top of one another, with the top circle smaller than the one on the bottom, forming a two-story high structure. And a flight of stairs that allows any being to walk to the top of it. This stone structure looks like an alter of some sorts. And around this stone alter has some worn down stone pillars that are either standing straight up or are laying the ground and almost looks destroyed too. This is the Alter of the Emerald.
And on top of this alter is a creature that is protecting something on this alter with his life. This creature is an anthropomorphic echidna with red fur that covers most of his body, a black nose on his peach-skinned muzzle, a white crescent-shaped patch of fur on his chest, and violet eyes. He also has seven dreadlock-like spines around the sides and back of his head and a medium-sized, tri-crooked tail. And for his attire, he wears red and yellow shoes, each with green cuffs, light gray soles, and a gray, hextuple-bolted plate on top. He also wears large, white, mitten-like gloves with sock-like cuffs and two spiked knuckles on each hand. This is Knuckles the Echidna, the last member of the Echidna Clan.
And behind Knuckles is a object that is of great power. One that is keeping the island he stands on flying or floating in the sky. It is a giant green emerald that glows unimaginable power. The one object in the world that is connect to the Chaos Emeralds and is able to control the power of the Chaos Emeralds or neutralizes it too. This is the Master Emerald. Every day, Knuckles sits on the top of the steps of the alter, he just crosses his arms while sitting and closes his eyes as if he is mediating. He does this as his duty to protect the Master Emerald with his life as the last member of his clan.
"Knuckles..." Said a female voice that echoed a bit in the area
This causes Knuckles to open up his eyes. He turns around to see a pink bright orb of light forming right next to Master Emerald. The orb slowly begins to take shape and slowly turns down its brightness to reveal a female being. She is an peach-orange-furred anthropomorphic echidna girl with a peach muzzle, a small black nose, cobalt-blue eyes, dreadlock-like spines around the sides and back of her head and a medium-sized, tri-crooked tail. During those years, she wore a tank top-like garment which revealed her midriff and the traditional tribal skirt with beige, green, and red triangular patterns. As a sign of her lineage, she wore a golden armlet on her right arm, a golden necklace and a tiara-like band atop her forehead, both of which were decorated with triangles and a light blue jewel in the center. Her white gloves were adorned with thick, cobalt-blue bracelets around her wrists, and she wore white-strapped sandals. Her dreadlocks and left arm were also wrapped with similar white bandages. This is Tikal.
"Its you... The member of my clan now has become a spirit... Tikal. What are you doing here?" asked Knuckles as he quickly gets up on his feet and turns around to face her.
"I came here because Chaos and I have sensed something going wrong with the planet and as well as a disturbance in space and time." Said Tikal.
"Wait... did you just say... who I think you just said?" asked Knuckles.
The mention of the being that Knuckles knows, a humanoid form that is made of eater like energy begins to slowly appear before Knuckles. It has disproportionally long arms and legs compared to its torso. It has thick forearms with three large fingers on each hand, a short stump for a tail, and long feet with two large toes each. It also has two fin-like protrusions on the back of its head, sharp flaps on each side of its head, and a tall bulge on top of its head. It also possesses no facial features, except for two pupil-less lime green eyes. Lastly, it has a round pink brain inside its transparent head, with a brain stem on the bottom.
"Chaos..." Said Knuckles as he is surprised to see the Guardian God of the Chao and the first protector of the Chaos Emeralds before him again. Chaos only nods his head towards him as a form of hello since he can't speak like everyone else can.
Tikal places her hands near the Master Emerald and the Master Emerald begins to shine brightly which slightly blinds Knuckles before he gets used to it. Knuckles managed to see as a form of images begins to appear on the surface of the Master Emerald. one of these images begins to show him the Chaos Energy Cannon charging up in space.
"Eggman has somehow used the power of the Chaos Emeralds to fire off a beam of energy that broke the planet into pieces and awaken an ancient evil long dormant in the planet core. Dark Gaia" Said Tikal as the next image showed the Chaos Energy Cannon firing its beam at the planet and then shows the planet slowly breaking off into pieces. And also show a gigantic creature emerging from the planet core as it roars loudly after being awaken from its long deep slumber.
"Eggman... why am I not surprised at this point he would do something like that?" Asked Knuckles.
"It gets worse." Said Tikal with a worried expression on her face. The Master Emerald showed a image of the creature from the planet core slowly begins to break down into a purple mist that spread all over the world. "Dark Gaia somehow broken down into multiple pieces of him or his essence if you prefer to call, that spread all around the world and to those essence are causing chaos and destruction in their wake. But that is not the worse part."
Knuckles slightly looks worried. "What do you mean by that Tikal?" asked Knuckles
The Master Emerald shines again to show a random land of the planet Earth. And then the image slows down to reveal a after image of another land appearing on top of the land on Earth before disappearing for a second. "The sudden awaking of Dark Gaia has caused a affect on time and Space. And it has begin to leak a portal to another world. And that same world is slowly begun to fuse with our own." Said Tikal.
"Can this planet fusion be stopped?" asked Knuckles as he wonders if there is a way to slow down or stop this planet fusion with other.
Tikal shakes her head a few times. So does Chaos at the same time. "I'm afraid not. There is nothing to stop it now that it is motion. The only thing we can hope that the citizens of our world and the next will handle this and the situation of Dark Gaia awakening." Said Tikal.
"I see... but wait! What about Sonic!? What is he doing all of this?" asked Knuckles as he wants to know where the blue blur is doing during this criss.
Chaos quietly stares at Knuckles for a full few minutes. Of which makes Knuckles sweat a little bit from Chaos stare. Chaos stops staring at Knuckles and then gently places his right hand on top of the Master Emerald and looks at Tikal. Tikal notice his stare and nods as if to give Chaos permission.
Chaos nods his head in return. The Master Emerald then begins to show a event to Knuckles. It shows the event of Sonic destroying Eggman fleet of ships in space. And showing Sonic in his Super form to chase after Eggman before it shows Sonic being caught in a trap and being forced out of his Super Form and watches Sonic screaming out of pain as Knuckles can see the Chaos Emeralds being drained of all of their energy to be used to shatter the planet. And watches Sonic transforming into his Werehog form painfully. And then he watches Eggman just tosses Sonic out in space with the lifeless Chaos Emeralds to one of the broken pieces of the planet. The Master Emerald slowly stops glowing after showing that to Knuckles.
"Sonic... got caught in Eggman trap. And somehow, what ever Eggman did to the Chaos Emeralds, somehow affected Sonic in someway for him to become like that during night." Said Tikal with a sad look on her face as she feels sorry for Sonic to be turned into that.
"Sonic... "Said Knuckles as he feels a little bit worried about Sonic new transformation form. "Wait... if the Chaos Emeralds are drained of their power, then why can't we use the Master Emerald to revive them?" asked Knuckles.
Tikal shakes her head. "I am afraid that won't work. You see, Chaos is using the power of the Master Emerald to keep all the water on the broken pieces of Earth so that it won't dry up and fall into the planet exposed core." She said to Knuckles on why they can't use the Master Emerald at this moment.
Knuckles looks down at his shoes for a second and letting out a sigh. While he does this, Knuckles begins to think long and hard on the situation at hand. After about a few minutes of thinking, he has come to a conclusion. "Okay... I will go down and help Sonic out." Said Knuckles as he raised his head up to reveal a smile on his lips.
Tikal smiles upon hearing this. She is glad to see and hear that Knuckles is willing to go help out Sonic anyway he can. "Then go. You most likely find Sonic in Spagonia." Said Tikal.
Knuckles nods before he turns around and begins to run down the stone steps. He then begins to run through the jungle trees and other plant life before he runs close to the edge of Angel Island. He looks slightly down to see through the clouds below to see a ocean down below and see that the edge of what he could see the edge of one of the edges of the broken planet. Knuckles then takes one step back before jumping off the edge of his island. As he falls, he has his arms thrusted forward and begins to glide along the air currents.
"Don't worry Sonic! I am on my way!" Said Knuckles as he yells out loud as he tries to glide as fast as he can to reach Sonic location.
Earthland, Night
Back in the world of Earthland, it was nighttime in that world. The sky's was clear of any clouds and you can see all the stars in the sky. In the middle of the ocean of where the weather in that area is always hot, there is one island that stands out and is very amazing to see once you lay eyes upon it.
It is a mildly small, rocky and steep island covered by lush vegetation, both bright yellow and green in color. One side of the island is shown to be particular rocky, possessing large formations jutting outwards from the ground, one near the shore, protruding above the sea, and the other near the center of the island, overlooking it; the latter has a pair of waterfalls falling down from it in a small lake below. Topping such second rocky formation stands the most distinctive element of the island, a gigantic tree with a gnarled, mildly curved trunk, ending in a number of large branches which is called the Great Tenrou Tree. This is the island called Tenrou Island.
The waters around the island begins to get rough. And then suddenly, the purple crack appeared and its purple light was casted over the Tenrou Island. And then suddenly, a after image of a random area of Sonic world ocean appeared over Tenrou Island area. And then suddenly, that after image become slowly solid. When that was finished, the purple crack in the sky slowly goes away. The result of what that crack did was fused a part of Earthland now with Sonic world.
Earth, Spagonia, Night
BGM Sonic Unleashed - "Spagonia Hub Night"
After returning back to village, they were pleased and happy still that they saved them from Eggman robots and were even more glad to hear to that their content has return back to normal. After welcoming them all, they begin to head back to Spagonia to tell the Professor the good news. And just when they got there, it was night time once more. And that caused Sonic to transform once more into his Werehog form again. Tails already went ahead and flies towards the Professor Lab.
"Ugh... still not used to this form. I mean... it doesn't hurt anymore but I am still not use to look like this." Said Sonic as he hops off the Tornado.
"What is it about this form you are not used to Sonic?" Asked Wendy as she and the others begins to walk with Sonic on the streets.
"Oh I can name a lot of things Wendy. I am not use to having claws or having sharp teeth for starters. And I not use to having my speed being taken away to be replaced with these stretchy arms of mine." Said Sonic.
"But they are cool right!?" asked a happy Natsu.
"Yeah... but still though, I will be glad to be back to my normal self after we fixed my home planet back to normal and then find a way to cure this... condition I have." said Sonic.
"True... I understand your opinion of this Sonic. But that form of yours have been helpful in many ways so far. And you still act like yourself in this form during the night." Said Erza.
"I agree with Erza. No matter what happened to you Sonic, you continue to be yourself." Said Gray.
"Thank you guys." Said Sonic.
"No problem buddy. Hey! Maybe once this is all over, and after we fixed the planet and you and then find a way to get us back home, maybe you should come visit our home for a while?" asked Lucy as she gives a friendly suggestion to Sonic.
Hearing this causes him to smile big. "Hehehe... exploring a new place sounds like fun! I love that Lucy." Said Sonic as he gives her a high five.
BGM End
As they continue to walk back to the Professor lab, it was quiet and peaceful at the moment. And for a little bit strange reason, some of the citizens of Spagonia are acting a little bit off. Something simliar to what they saw before with the Ice Cream Man before a couple days ago. Just as the group turns around a corner on a street, a all too familiar voice was heard by Sonic ears. "Found you Sonic!" Said a female voice that sounds very happy to see Sonic. This caused him to stop to look around in both directions to see who said that.
"GAH!" Sonic exclaimed when he felt someone charging at him and tackling him into a side hug.
The one that tackled Sonic into a hug is a pink-furred anthropomorphic hedgehog with light green eyes and peach skin covering her muzzle, inner ears, and arms. She has a small black nose, triangular ears on top of her head, and no back spines. She also has two medium-length eyelashes on each side of her eyes. Additionally, her five short head quills point downwards, somewhat resembling a bob cut. She also has three spikes for bangs on her head, and a short pointy tail. And for her outfit, it is a red, sleeveless, backless dress with white trim and a white petticoat underneath; tall red boots with a white stripe down the center, white cuffs and gray soles; a red hairband; and white wrist-length gloves with gold bracelets for cuffs.
"Oh Sonic! I've been looking for you forever!" Amy sighs happily as she nuzzles her face in his fur.
"H-Hey! Lemme go!" Said Sonic as he doesn't like it when Amy does this all the time.
Everyone member of Team Natsu was shocked and silently confused on what is going on. For Natsu and Happy, they just blinks in confusion, Lucy just smiles to see someone that is familiar with Sonic. Erza smiles just like Lucy. Gray has a slightly worried look on his face as this scene reminds him of someone he knows back home. Wendy just slightly gasp on seeing another Hedgehog Mobian in this world. Carla just blinks on how this girl is suddenly getting touchy feely with Sonic and doesn't notice his appearance yet. Chip just looks at this scene with confusion.
"Heh heh, you're crazy if you think you can get away from... ...Amy Rose, and... ...Ummm..." Said Amy as she slowly begins to sense something is off. She opens up her eyes and slightly look at Sonic Werehog appearance. "Who are you?" asked Amy as she thought the one she is hugging is someone else.
Before Sonic could say anything, Amy suddenly pushed Sonic a little bit away from him. "Oh my gosh, I am SO sorry! I just completely mistook you for someone else!" Said Amy as she apologizes to Sonic, thinking that she mistake him for someone else.
'Wait... She doesn't recognize him!?' Thought everyone in Team Natsu.
Amy looks away for a second. "That is SO strange. I could have SWORN it was him. Anyway, I'm REALLY sorry. See ya later!" Said Amy as she waves goodbye to Sonic before running away. Sonic tries to stop her by reaching his hand out towards her speechless. Chip flies in the air a bit and looks in the direction of where Amy went as Sonic slowly lowers his hand down in sadness.
"Well, THAT was weird. How come that girl didn't know you were you, Sonic? " Said Chip as he turns to look at Sonic and flies close infront of him "I mean, I guess you ARE kinda... " He paused to used his hands to mimics Sonic large body structure. "You know... And, uh... " Chip paused again to shows fangs that comically appear on his teeth for a second" ...these guys."
"CHIP!" Screams out Carla and Lucy.
"What?" Asked Chip innocently as he doesn't know why they are mad at him all the sudden.
"That was bad manners!" Said Lucy as she points at Chip with her eyes narrowed a bit.
"What you just did could have made Sonic feel worse Chip!" Said Carla.
"Wait... what?" asked Chip as he turns around to look at Sonic.
Sonic looks in the direction of where Amy went while being silently the entire time. He then lets out a loud groaning sound before slowly turning around and begins to walk away with his head down depressed. Chip looks at this and quickly feels guilty and flies close to Sonic.
"Oh, ah... I mean... D-d-don't worry! Hey! You only LOOK really scary, Sonic. Inside, you're the same as ever, I guarantee it! Okay? Soniiic! Cheer up!" Said Chip as he tries to correct his mistake and tries to cheer up Sonic. It was not working and Chip pulls out a chocolate bar and offers it to Sonic. "Uhh...chocolate! Want some chocolate?!" asked a worried Chip.
Sonic just ignores what Chip is saying to him and continues to look depressed while sighing loudly. Everyone looks at this and kinda feels sorry and sad for Sonic. Natsu quickly catches up Sonic and stops infront of Sonic and places his hands on Sonic shoulders to make him stop.
"Hey buddy. What is wrong?" asked Natsu but all he got from Sonic is a long and deep sigh.
"Sonic... who was that back there? She seemed to know you... or at least know you." Said Wendy as she looks back in the direction of where Amy went.
"That was Amy Rose. She is a friend of mine. I meet her back during my classic adventures during as a kid facing against Eggman." Said Sonic.
"Tell us more." Said Erza.
"Well, where do I begin? A long time ago in one of my many adventures against facing Eggman, he took control over a planet called Little Planet." Said Sonic.
"Little what now?" asked Lucy.
"Little Planet, it is a tiny world filled with beauty and mystery. It appears over a location on Earth called Never Lake for just one month a year. The planet is a very strange and beautiful place as well. It is where the past and present and future collide. Eggman took over Little Plant due to the Time Stones that were hiding within the Little Planet. When I arrived there, I saw Eggman had turned that planet into a barren world due because of the effect he did on the planet. It caused it to turn into a horrible dark future. As I arrived there as well, that is when I meet Amy Rose. And the... lets just say first encounter with her was just surprising." Said Sonic
"What do you mean by surprising?" Asked Gray.
"Well, apparently, Amy Rose used, from what I remember, Tarot cards to predict her future as of having a 'destined encounter' with me. When she first meet me, she thought that meant of falling in love with me. She even tried to hug me the first time she saw me, despite me not having any kinds of feelings for her. But then, she got captured by one of Eggman, lets just say one of his robots so I don't go into my detail, and took her away. So long story short, I beat Eggman, save Little Planet and rescued Amy. And ever since then, she has been chasing after me and tries to force me to go on dates with her. So it has been a regular routine with her on all of my adventures." Said Sonic.
"So then why did you looked depressed when she thought you were someone else?" Asked Happy.
"Well, it was just to be expected. Tails knows me very well by now to recognize it is me in this... state. But the others might not recognize me at first. And when Amy just pushed me away and apologize to me like that, it just... kinda makes me a little bit sad that she didn't notice her friend at all but at the same time depressed that I expected something like that to happen." Said Sonic.
Sonic then suddenly feel a hand rubbing the top of his head. He looks up to see Erza the one doing it. "Don't worry Sonic. I am sure Amy will know the truth and apologize for not noticing you right away. And I promise this will not harm your friendship with Amy Rose." Said Erza with a heartwarming smile.
Sonic smiles from hearing Erza kind words. "Thank you Erza. I really hope that comes true. Now, lets continue heading to the Professor Lab and see what he has to say about our latest achievement of putting one piece of the planet back to normal." Said Sonic as he begins to walk with his friends to Professor Pickle Lab.
Professor Pickle Lab
"Hey, sorry we are late Professor." Said Wendy as she called out to the Professor once she and the others have walked into the Lab. The moment they got in the Lab, they all saw Tails and Professor Pickle talking to each other before noticing the group entering the room.
"Hmm? Oh no my dear. You all are just on time. Tails have caught me up on the situation now. It seems that you all have managed to restore one piece of the planet back to normal." Said Professor Pickle.
"Yeah. I told him on how all you guys managed to a great job of getting one of the planet pieces back into place." Said Tails with a big smile on his face.
"Aw, it was no biggie. We were just glad that we managed to get one piece of the planet back to normal." Said Natsu with a smirk on his lips.
"Yes. Also, to mention, after hearing such a accomplishment, I managed to find something interesting in the Gaia Manuscripts. I managed to locate to areas of possible Temple of Gaia. One of them is located in Spagonia. Who would have thought one was located near us this whole time? "Asked Professor Pickle.
"And the other location?" Asked Erza.
"The other location is in Holoska." Said Professor Pickle.
"Holoska?" Asked Happy.
"What is that?" Asked Wendy.
"It is a small icehouse village located on the center of the earth's northern ice cap and is by far the most coldest place on Planet Earth. But sadly, the Gaia Manuscripts doesn't give the exact location of where it is in Spagonia or in Holoska. So you all might have to explore the areas to find the Temple of Gaia." Said Professor Pickle.
"Hmmmm... I thought it wasn't going to be this easy." Said Lucy as she had a sneaky feeling that was the case.
"So which place do you want to explore first Sonic?" asked Gray.
"Spagonia obviously. I mean we are already here right? So it would be best to explore this city first." Said Sonic as he makes his choice quickly.
"Great choice Sonic. Now, I wish you all the best of luck." Said Professor Pickle as he nods his head to the group as they nod to him right back before they begin leaving the lab.
Spagonia
BGM Sonic Unleashed - "Rooftop Run"
After leaving the Lab, the group begins to walk in the streets of Spagonia. As they walk on the streets, they notice that it was empty and quiet because of the lack of citizens out of the open. Much likely just trying to stay inside to not get target by the monsters that appear in the night time now. "So does anyone have an idea of where we should start looking?" Said Sonic.
"I would say that we should get a good high vantage point to look around the area to spot anything." Said Carla.
"That sounds like a good idea." Said Chip as he really like that idea that Carla had suggested.
"Okay, and where should we do that Carla?" Asked Wendy.
"Hey! What about that large building over there!?" asked Happy as he points with his paw to a building he sees far ahead. What Happy is pointing to is a large building that is a clock tower that stand out from where they are.
"That looks high enough. Nice job buddy!" Said Natsu as he high fives Happy who does it in return.
"So I guess we should take a shortcut to there. Don't want all of us to get exhausted to just trying to get there on foot. Plus, this would let us avoid unnecessary long battles against those strange monsters we have been facing during the night." Said Sonic.
"What is this short cut you speak off?" asked Wendy as she is getting a little bit curious at the moment.
"Simple. We take the shortcut on the rooftops and hop from roof to roof." Said Sonic as he stretched his arms to a nearby rooftop and launched himself to the rooftop. They others were nervous at first but they managed to follow Sonic example. Once they reached were Sonic is, they begins to run on the rooftops. This managed to save them some time to reached the clock tower faster. Once they reached there, they see a Big Mother and couple of Eggman robots infront of clock tower. The group managed to jump back down to the ground and managed to defeated the enemies they saw very quickly. Though Sonic and Natsu had to combine their attacks to force the Big Mother opens its sotmach mouth wide enough for Natsu to deal some massive damage inside of there to defeated for good.
After finishing all the enemies in the area, it was time to get to highest point of the clock tower. Happy grabs onto Natsu back and has his wings out as he begins to carry him all the way to the top point of the tower. Natsu used this to take a long and good look around the area and tries to spot anything that would look like a temple or something. But after a few minutes of searching, he didn't find anything. Happy carries Natsu back down the ground.
"Did you find anything Natsu and Happy?" asked Chip.
"Nothing. We couldn't spot a single thing." Said Natsu.
"We were the highest point of that clock tower and we still couldn't find anything out of the ordinary." Said Happy.
"Well that was a good try for a while." Said Lucy.
"It would make sense for finding the temple to be hard. If it was that easy to spot, then we would have restored another piece of the planet back to normal." Said Erza.
"You have a point there. Still, we could at least have some clue if the Temple of Gaia was in the area or not." said Gray.
"So what do we do now?" Asked Wendy.
Sonic was about to say something but stops when his ears perked up a bit as if it has picked up something. He quickly sensed something was wrong and pushed everyone out the way as he noticed a large muscle shadow figure coming from the above and towards Sonic. When the shadow muscle figure crashed into the ground, it caused a large dust cloud in the area, covering up the area where Sonic was. Everyone was slightly nervous on what or who just attacked Sonic like that and will they be friend or foe?

Once the dust clears, it slowly reveals the being that suddenly attacked Sonic out of the blue. is a tall, elderly man distinguished by his massive, extremely muscular physique, untarnished despite his advanced age. The man has long light hair which is extremely jutting out and the thick beard and mustache covering his lower face which is the same thing as his hair. He large elf-like ears and has a massive scar on his chest. He also dons a decorative tattoo-like design that is heavily concentrated on the left side of his torso and slightly spread throughout the rest of his body. His eyes are pure white. He has black bandages around his hands that goes up to his triceps. Around his neck is a necklace composed of many large, dark red spheres. He only has very loose light brown pants, which a red kimono tied around his waist in a form a belt. And has black shoes as well. This is the former master of Sabertooth back in Earthland. Jiemma Orland.
"Who... the heck are you?" asked Sonic as he struggles in this strange man grip.
"Jiemma!" Said Erza
"You guys know him?" asked Sonic.
"He is a former Guild Master of a guild back home. This guy is bad news!" Said Gray as he gets into his stance to be ready to use his magic.
"Yeah. This guy really doesn't care about his guild or about friends. Only about power and strength." Said Natsu as he glares at the man.
"Oh look who I found in this strange land. The weaklings of that pathetic guild Fairy Tail." Said Jiemma as he narrows his eyebrows in angry upon seeing them again.
"What are you doing here!?" asked Happy as he points his paw at Jiemma before he freaks out from seeing Jiemma glaring towards his direction and Happy hides behind Natsu back.
"What am I doing here? What are you all doing here? Are you the ones responsible for bring me to these strange lands? Full of weak people and animals!?" asked Jiemma
"Hey! Who are you calling weak!?" Asked Sonic as he tries to continue struggling out of Jiemma tight grip around his throat.
"If you must know, I was suddenly brought here by a strange crack in the sky. It brought me to this broken planet that is in pieces. And as I explore this place, I spotted you all. And as I expected, you all are trying to fix this planet? Pitiful. I will stop you all from doing that and make sure that this planet never gets restored!" Said Jiemma.
"You can't do that! This is Sonic world. You can't just say that and let this planet be broken forever!" Said Wendy as she can't believe her ears that this man will go fair to not only stop them and ruin Sonic home planet.
"I can and I will child! I will make sure that this pathetic planet stays broken. And I will make sure that all hopes of fixing it will stay destroyed and that only the strongest will survive! And all traces of these talking animals will wipe out of the face of the planet! Starting with this monster!" Said Jiemma as he raised his other hand to turn into a fist and glows with purple aura. He charges up his Blast Magic to destroy Sonic into nothing.
"NO!" Said Natsu as he was about to charge and stop him when something get everyone attention.
"That is enough you villain!" Said a male voice that echoed in the area. Jiemma stops to look in the direction of where that voice is coming from. HE sees a shadowy figure standing on the roof on one of the buildings. The shadow figure jumps off the roof and dive bombs towards Jiemma. Just before Jiemma got a chance to react, the shadow figure punched hard into his stomach, forcing to not only let go of Sonic finally, but to be launched hard into building.
"Striking down your opponent when they are down and calling someone weak because of their bonds with their friends, is the signs of being a coward and dishonorable." Said a voice that spoked to Jiemma. A voice that sounds familiar to Sonic ears. He looks ahead to see what have saved him from being crushed by Jiemma. Sonic smirks as he knows who it is due the shape of the being.
"How is going Knuckles?" Asked Sonic in a happy tone. When the moon light casted over Sonic savior, it reveals that is to be non other than Knuckles.
"I am doing fine Sonic. Can't say the same for you. Having trouble with that guy that I just knocked down?" Said Knuckles as he teased Sonic on that as he hold out his hand to offer Sonic a hand. Sonic smirks as he grabs Knuckles hand and Knuckles helps Sonic back on his feet.
"Yeah. He just caught me off guard is all. And that guy is all crazy. Keeps talking about on how only strength and power only matters." Said Sonic as he tells this to Knuckles as also using his right finger to twirl around near his head to prove his point on how crazy Jiemma is.
"Sonic..." Said Erza as she walks up to him. "Are you okay?"
"I am okay Erza. Guys, I want you all to meet one of my friends. This is Knuckles. Knuckles the Echidna. And Knuckles these are my new friends. Natsu, Happy, Lucy, Gray, Erza, Wendy, Carla and Chip." Said Sonic as he gesture his right hand to Knuckles and introduced his friends to Knuckles. Team Natsu and Chip waves hello to Knuckles.
"Hello there. It is nice to meet you." Said Wendy as she walks up to Knuckles and holds out her right hand to shake his hand.
Knuckles returns the gesture and gently grabs Wendy right hand and begins to shake it. "I am Knuckles the Echidna. The last member of my clan. Trained in all forms of combat, destined to guard and protect the Master Emerald." Said Knuckles.
"Master Emerald?" asked Erza.
"It is powerful enough to control the Chaos Emeralds to either neutralize them or power them up. Speaking of which, Knuckles why are you here? I thought you would still be back on Angel Island where you are suppose to be guarding the Master Emerald?" asked Sonic.
"I was. But then Chaos And Tikal appeared before me. Asking me to aid you." Said Knuckles.
"Chaos? You mean that water god Chaos?" asked Sonic as he remembers his fight against Chaos long ago.
"Yes." Said Knuckles.
"Who is Tikal? And who is this Chaos you speak of Sonic?" asked Gray.
"Tikal is a member of my clan long ago. She is now what you call a spirit that travels with Chaos." Said Knuckles.
"Chaos is what you can say what is the first protector of the Master Emerald and the guardian of a group of species called Chao. Along time ago, Chaos got angry because of well..." Said Sonic as he was nervous to say that part.
"Chaos turned evil because long ago, members of my clan try to use the emeralds for their own selfish reasons and hurt a bunch of Chao in the process. Chaos responded by using the emeralds to wipe those out. At that time, Tikal used the Master Emerald to seal Chaos and herself to keep Chaos rage in check. And time passed, and Chaos was free due to Eggman trying to control Chaos. But then Sonic managed to use the Chaos Emeralds and turn into his Super form to defeat Chaos and return him back to normal." Said Knuckles.
"So a god that become evil, then becomes good once more?" asked Natsu as he is trying to wrap his brain around that.
"I learned from Tikal that Chaos is using the Master Emerald power to expand his power of controlling water to keep all the ocean water on the broken pieces of Earth in place so that they won't fall into the planet exposed core. And because of this, we can't use the Master Emerald to revive the Chaos Emeralds." Said Knuckles.
"Hmmmmmmm... That does sound like a good point Knuckles. I was originally thinking at one point if we have to use the Master Emerald to revive the Chaos Emeralds but you hearing say that makes rethink that now." Said Sonic.
"Tikal... also show me on how Eggman used the Chaos Emeralds and drain them of their power to revive the ancient evil within out planet. And on... what happened to you as well." said Knuckles as he means about Sonic new look during the night.
"Yeah... I still don't know how this happened to me." Said Sonic.
"Wait, did this Tikal person show you anything else?" Asked Erza.
"Yes. It is about Dark Gaia. After he was released from his prison thanks to Eggman, it showed him turning into a purple mist/cloud that spread all over the planet. That was in a word, his essence that spread all over the world." Said Knuckles.
"So all the creatures we have been fighting during the night is pieces of Dark Gaia?" Asked Lucy.
"If that is the case, then it is safe to assume that pieces of Dark Gaia must have infected any people they come into contact with and hide into their hosts to make them act the opposite during the night." Said Erza as she places her right hand on her chin and begins to think.
"What are you getting at Erza?" Asked Chip as he tilts his head to the left in a confused way.
"I am just starting to think on something that has been bothering me. These Dark Gaia pieces we have been fighting or Dark Gaia Minions as I am calling them now, some of them have the ability to stretch their limbs in a form of a attack. Something similar to you Sonic." Said Erza.
"What? What are you talking about Erza? I was in space and trapped by Eggman when he free Dark Gaia. So how is my attacks now similar to the monsters we are facing?" Asked a confused Sonic.
"You were close to the Chaos Emeralds when Eggman used them to wake up Dark Gaia right? SO what is, it is a theory of mine, what if Eggman somehow turn the Chaos Emeralds power to produce dark energies to revive Dark Gaia? And you being close to the Chaos Emeralds at that point, a part of Dark Gaia essence some how leaked and fused with you." Said Erza.
Sonic looks at his hands and the rest of his Werehog appearance. What Erza said slowly makes sense to him. That would explain on why he looks like this during the night and how his speed was replaced with stretchable arms and strength in return. "So, if what you are saying is true, then how come I still act like myself?" Asked Sonic.
"I am sorry. I don't know yet Sonic. I haven't thought a theory about that as well." Said Erza as she apologizes for that.
"It is fine. Until I know the truth on this is possible, I am going to stay true to who I am. Returning the planet back to normal and beat Eggman robots, or any kinds of monsters we face and then beat Eggman in a most humiliating way to him." Said Sonic with his trademark smirk. Knuckles is proud to hear that is friend is still acting like himself despite him looking like this and glad that he is going to help his friend in this quest to fix the planet.
"I am happy to hear that Sonic. There is one more thing I want to mention before I forget. Tikal also showed me something. She showed me that what ever Eggman did to revive Dark Gaia has also affected time and space. Our planet is slowly fusing with another world and this process can't be stopped." Said Knuckles.
"What!?" said a shocked Sonic.
"What world could that be!?" Asked Happy.
"I think... I think it might be our world." Said Lucy as she quickly guessed. This caused everyone to look towards Lucy with confusion on their faces. "Jiemma appearing in Sonic world doesn't sound like a random thing to happen. If this is indeed the case, then it is not only Sonic world that is going to be saved, but ours as well."
"Then I guess we need to double our efforts to repair the planet." Said Sonic.
"I like the sound of that plan." Said Natsu as he smirks. "I am all fired up!"
"Before we do anything else, is Jiemma out for the count?" Asked Wendy as she wonders if Jiemma is knocked out from Knuckles punch from a while ago.
Suddenly, the building that Jiemma was knocked into explodes in a large dust cloud. Sonic and Knuckles and Team Natsu looks towards that way to see Jiemma slowly walking out of the dust cloud. On his stomach was the punch mark indent that Knuckles left on him.
"Huh... guess I should have punched harder." Said Knuckles as he wished he should have put more force into his punch before.
"You... another animal joins this battle? You are just like the others. Only relying on a weak thing such of friendship and those pathetic things called bonds." Said Jiemma. Just as he said that, a swarm of Nightmares slowly begin to pop out of the ground and surround the group as they all roar in the air and begins to slowly march towards them.
"Great... more of these things..." Said Gray.
"Why did they suddenly appear now?" asked Natsu.
"Maybe they were drawn in by Jiemma power or his evil?" asked Happy.
"Maybe Happy. Or it could be that these monsters were just waiting for the right moment to strike." Said Carla.
"What is the plan?" Asked Erza as she pulls out her sword.
"You guys handle those monsters. Me and Knuckles will handle Mr. Muscles over there. Chip, you go find a place to hide until it is save." Said Sonic as he crack his knuckles for a second.
"Right Sonic!" Said Chip as he salutes to Sonic before he flaps his wings and goes to find a safe place to hide for the time being.
"Are you sure Sonic?" Asked Lucy.
"I am sure Lucy." Said Sonic with his signature smirk and total confidence.
Hearing this, the members of Team Natsu took his confidence as a sure sign that they will be okay. And at that second, Team Natsu charges at the Nightmares that have appeared and begins to go all out at keeping them at bay. While this happens, Sonic and Knuckles are about to face against the former Guild Master of Sabertooth.
BGM Sonic Unleashed Ost - Boss Battle - Night
"It is time for some genuine payback Jiemma!" Said Sonic as he punches his fists together for a few times before getting into a stance for the upcoming battle. Knuckles punches his namesake together a few times before getting into a fighting stance to prepare himself for this fight against Jiemma.
"Gr... as if I will lose to a bunch of weaklings' like you two! Including ones that are animals!" Screams out Jiemma as he let out a shockwave from his body. This action caused to slightly push Sonic and Knuckles back. And just before they could like recover, Jiemma right hand glows purple as he thrust that hand out and the area that Sonic and Knuckles were standing suddenly exploded.
Jiemma thought he had quickly finished his foes. He was about to turn around and go after the members of Team Natsu and destroy them. Just as he took one step, something or someone stopped him. "And just where do you think you are going fang face?" asked a familiar voice.
"No... impossible..." Said Jiemma as he slowly turns around to look back at the area he exploded with his magic. He can see two shadow figures in the dust clouds. Two familiar shadow figure of which their size and shape looks super familiar to him.
"Hate to tell you this, but it will take a lot more than that to get rid of me and Sonic." Said another familiar voice.
When the dust clears, it reveals Knuckles and Sonic hardly have a scratch on them at all. They both stare at their foe before them, while narrowing their eyes at Jiemma in a angry way. "GRRRRR. You stupid animals! Prepare to be blasted into nothing!" Said Jiemma as he had his right hand glowing purple as he gets ready to use his Blast Magic on them once more. Just before Jiemma can do anything, Sonic appeared right next to him and grabs Jiemma right hand and holds it tightly. "Why don't you wake up already Jiemma? You are hurting people and hate animals for unknown reason. What the innocent people, the animals or your own former guild members and others have done to you!?" Asked Sonic.
Jiemma frees his hand from Sonic grasp and tries to punch Sonic with his left hand. But Knuckles appeared before Sonic and used both hands to easily catch Jiemma punch, of which surprises him. "We can't let you anger be taken on people any more. Animal or humans. You must pay for your crimes." Said Knuckles as he glares at Jiemma as well.
"What the hell are you weakling animals talking about!? What about my anger!? What crimes do you speak off?!" Asked Jiemma as he takes a step back. "I do what I want. I kill or crush any in my way. The weak perish and the strong thrive! All talk of friendship and bonds are a sign of weakness! And my hate for animals will never fade! That is the true nature of this world and and countless others!"
Hearing this coming from Jiemma mouth has caused both Knuckles and Sonic glare at him, while Sonic grits his teeth while snarling a bit. "Fine then... we will play by your rules Jiemma. LETS GO!" Screams Sonic as he suddenly stretches' his right hand back and launches his left hand at Jiemma and punches him hard in the face. This caused him Jiemma to let out a groan as he holds his face for a second as he felt the pain from that.
Knuckles jumps at Jiemma at close distance. And Knuckles begins to let out a battle roar before doing a barrage of fast punches at Jiemma face. Jiemma did the best that he could and use his forearms to block the punches from Knuckles but he was not fast enough as he still kept getting hit either in the face or on his neck. Knuckles follows it up by a barrage of fast punches into his stomach. As the punches increases in speed, a small red lighting begins to form around Knuckles hands and arms. And more lighting begins to come out of Knuckles body and his eyes begins to red as his punches begins to increase in speed and also in power. Knuckles then does a uppercut into Jiemma chin and then a kick into his chest that sends Jiemma back a few feet.
Knuckles looks at his right arm to see the red lighting sparking from there before it stops. And the red glow in his eyes slowly dies down before returning back to their normal colors. "Hmmm... that is new." Said Knuckles as this was a new power he had no idea he had before.
"That is nice moves you did back there Knuckles. How did you do that?" asked Sonic as he is getting curious at the moment.
"I have no idea. But what ever it is, I have to say that it is nice to have now to deal with this creepy we are facing." Said Knuckles as he makes a quickly glance towards Jiemma who is managed to finished to recover from his last attack and Jiemma has his teeth shown as he grits is sharp teeth together in pure anger.
"Hehe. You are the not the only one that has a new power. Watch and see for yourself Knuckles!" Said Sonic as it was his turn now to deal some damage to Jiemma.
Sonic charges at Jiemma on all fours and then jumps in the air. He then slams his spike shoes against Jiemma face. Jiemma rears his head back from that attack for a second, but not before Sonic used his face as a jumping board and jumps high in the air. Sonic stretch both of his arms back before thrusting them forward. Jiemma only had a second to see this attack before being attacked by a barrage of stretchy punches by Sonic. Each time Jiemma gets hit by one of Sonic fists, it caused him to be slowly pushed down into the ground and making a crater around his feet.
Just when Jiemma thought that was it, Sonic stretches his arms out to Jiemma shoulders and grab onto them tightly while he is still in the air. Sonic then used his stretched arms to launched him towards Jiemma at a fast speed. When Sonic got in ranch, Sonic reared his head back and then slammed it into Jiemma forehead hard. Jiemma reacted by this with a painful yell as he quickly pushes Sonic away from his and puts his hands on his forehead as he is dealing with this pain and also thinking in his mind on one thought that has appeared in his mind.
'How? How is this happening?!' Thought Jiemma as an anime tick mark appears on his forehead. 'How am I loosing to these... these... animals!? I... I REFUSE TO LOOSE TO THESE WEAKLINGS!' He screams in his mind as his purple aura begins to leak out of his body before it exploded and becomes a large flaming aura. "I WILL NOT LOOSE YOU TWO!" Screams Jiemma as he launches himself towards Sonic.
Sonic just stays still as Jiemma approaches him. as he can see Jiemma right hand turned into a tight fist and is about to punch Sonic into the ground. When he was about three seconds closer, Sonic smirks as he takes a step to the right to avoid Jiemma. Jiemma only had a second to react as he saw Sonic punched him into his side hard. This causes Jiemma to spit out some saliva from his mouth. Sonic follows up his attack with slamming Jiemma head hard into the ground.
Just when Jiemma begins to slow get back on his feet, Sonic hands stretched and grab Jiemma ankles. Sonic eyes shrinks a bit as he grits his teeth. Sonic begins to use his impressive Werehog strength to slowly drag Jiemma on the ground before using his stretched arms to expanded and spin around in a circle while still holding onto Jiemma ankles. In this process, Jiemma begins to collide against street lamps and against the walls of buildings.
"Do you still think us weak Jiemma!? Do you still think me and Knuckles as mere animals!? Do you still think our friendship is weak?!" asked Sonic as he continues to spin around and slam Jiemma against the buildings and street lamps. "Well it is time you learn a lesson about us buddy!" Sonic said before using the momentum and launched Jiemma very high into the night sky.
Knuckles quickly runs up to Sonic as Sonic offers a hand out to Knuckles. Knuckles grabs it with both hands and nods his head to Sonic. Sonic nods back in return as he used all of his strength to launch Knuckles into the sky and towards the slowly falling Jiemma. As Jiemma continues to fall back down the ground, he managed to see Knuckles coming right at him and he can't dodge in time. "This is how we roll!" Said Knuckles as his body is surrounded by the red lightning as he used this new power of his to increase his strength. Knuckles rears his right fist back and thrust it forward into Jiemma stomach.
Jiemma as felt the full force of that attack. It was too much for him to endure or handle against the pain. It slowly caused him to pass out as Knuckles kicks him into the ground. Just before he passed out, he saw like a afterimage of the two people that have beaten him before in the place of where Knuckles and Sonic are for a second. Reminding him that someone he called weak has once again have defeated him again. Jiemma then crashed into the ground hard and caused a large dust cloud to form into the sky. When the dust clears, Jiemma has officially passed out and has been defeated by Sonic and Knuckles tag team.
BGM Ends
Knuckles lands on the ground in a stylish way near Jiemma body. He slowly used his left shoe to nudge up against his body to confirm Jiemma is passed out. Knuckles smirks from seeing this. "He is passed out." Said Knuckles as he confirms they have finally knocked Jiemma out.
"Nice moves back there Knuckles." Said Sonic as he walks up to Knuckles and gives him a fist bump.
"Is it safe to come out?" Asked Chip as he peaks out from his hiding spot.
"It is safe now Chip." Said Sonic as he notice that all the Nightmares that have appeared to have disappear. He sees that Team Natsu walking up to him. "I see you all took care of those creatures."
"And I see that you and Knuckles managed to defeat Jiemma. " Said Erza as she sees the unconscious Jiemma.
"Hehe. It was no biggie." Said Sonic as he smirks with pride.
Knuckles walks up to them but paused when he felt something underneath his feet. He raised his foot up to reveal some kind of stone key there. Well, a key that looks like it is only a half of it. He picks it up and examines it in his boxing gloves. "This is a very strange key." Said Knuckles as his voice gains every attention.
"What is that you got Knuckles?" Asked Sonic.
"I don't know. But for some reason, this was laying on the ground and it looks like it missing a part of its self." Said Knuckles as he walks up to the others and shows it to them.
"What do you think this could be used for?" Asked Carla.
"Maybe it is a key for some kind of gate?" Asked Happy.
"Who knows? But that fact is that we couldn't find a entrance of the Temple of Gaia." Said Lucy.
"Temple of Gaia?" Asked Knuckles.
"It is what we are trying to find to restore the Chaos Emeralds and the planet back to normal. You said before that Tikal showed you on how the Chaos Emeralds were lifeless right?" Said Sonic.
"I see. Leave that part to me. I have a knack for finding treasure. So I might be able to find something like a gate or something temple related in this city." Said Knuckles.
"You can really do that?" Asked Wendy.
"Yep. I have a sense that would allow me to pick up any nearby treasure. So I am confident I might be able to use my sense to pick up the temple if I search hard enough." Said Knuckles.
"I see. While you are doing that, we are going to continue try to find more temples and maybe get some info from the Professor on what is this key you found Knuckles." Said Sonic.
Knuckles nods his head as he begins to run into a random street that leads deeper into the city. As they did that, the group took one more look at the unconscious Jiemma. Sonic and Natsu look at each other and smirk. They quickly picked up any broken pieces of the street lamps and used their strength to wrap them around Jiemma body. And Happy pulls out a piece of paper from his backpack and a pencil to write down something for the authorities in this city and placed it near the knocked out Jiemma. After that, the heroes left to leave the authorities to come and place Jiemma behind bars.
Professor Pickle Lab
"We are back." Said Sonic as he calls out to Professor Pickle as he and the others returned back to the Lab.
"Ah! Sonic. How did it go?" asked Professor Pickle.
"We couldn't find the temple yet." Said Wendy.
"We ran into a bit of trouble that had stopped our progress." Said Lucy.
"But we managed to find this. Do you know what it is?" Asked Sonic as he showed the half of a key to the Professor.
The Professor leans a bit to take a good look at the key. "Why Sonic, this is a excellent find! What you are holding is what is called the Gaia Key. According the Gaia Manuscripts, the keys are a means of entering a Temple of Gaia. It would seem what you had found is a part of the key. And this would also means that there is a Temple of Gaia somewhere in Spagonia." Said Professor Pickle.
"Well that is some good news at least. Well, our next place to check out is Holoska." Said Lucy.
"Before you go, take this with you." Said Professor Pickle as he holds out a camera to them. "This little device might come in handy in your adventure."
Chip flies up to the camera and grabs it gently. He struggles a bit with carrying it but he managed to get a hang of it and then puts it away for safe keeping. "Thank you sir. I love it!" Said Chip.
"Thank you professor. Who know? We might take a few pictures of the area. We will be back soon." Said Sonic as he and the others left the Lab to go to their next destination to find a Temple of Gaia.
A few Minutes Later..
After leaving the Professor lab, they begin to head back towards where the Tornado is to travel to the next possible location of the Temple of Gaia. But along the way, they begin to hear the sound of music nearby. The group got curious and begins to walk towards the direction of where the music is coming from. As they walk, the sound of the music begins to get louder and louder. When they got to the area, they stopped walking and gasped at what they saw. A group of people were dancing for some odd reason. Though something was very...unusual. Looking closer, they saw Amy among the group, who still seemed normal.
"Hey, isn't that the Professor assistant?" asked Happy as he points to see that guy in that dancing crowd.
"And look! There is Amy as well." Said Lucy as she sees Amy Rose in that group as well. And from the look of it, she is not enjoying the time of her life.
"H-Hey! What's the big idea?!" Amy demanded the professor's assistant, who laughed and kept forcing the pink Mobian hedgehog to dance with him.
"Hahahaha! Come on babe, let's dance the night away!" Said the Professor Assistant who continues to use his left hand to force Amy to dance in a circle while to use his right hand to move in a rock style dance.
"Ack, help!" She cried out, hoping someone will come and save her from this madness before it is too late.
"What the hell is going on here?" Gray asked, flabbergasted.
"Are all the people suddenly acting crazy at nighttime now?!" Asked Lucy
"Maybe there's some kind of party going on?" Chip wondered as he pulled out the camera that was given by the Professor Pickle.
"No...something's not right here." said Sonic, furrowing his eyebrows as he can tell from this scene that something is not what it truly seems.
"I will say." Said Natsu as he narrows his eyes before using his nose to take a whiff of the scent coming from that dancing crowd. "I can tell that the scent coming from the people over there is suddenly different."
"Perhaps these people are the ones being possessed like I theorized before?" asked Erza.
Chip holds the camera steadily as he used it to zoom on the dancing crowd and then press the button to take a picture. A flash came out of the camera as brighten up in the direction of the dancing people. For some reason, the people that were acting strange suddenly stop dancing and slowly fall the ground. As this happen, something begins to form out of their knocked out bodies as it reveals to be Deep Nightmares. With nothing to continue to spin Amy, she continues to spin in the direction away from the monsters that pop out of the people.
"I knew it! I thought those people scent was different!" Said Natsu.
"The people were possessed!" Said Happy.
"It's a carnival of creeps out there!" Said Chip as he is surprised to see that have happen as he takes a couple more pictures with the camera in his hands. The Deep Nightmares stares at the heroes before roaring loudly in the sky before charging at the group for the ones responsible forcing them out of their hosts.
"Let stops them quickly before they caused more harem!" Said Sonic as he stretches his right arm back and launches a stretched fist towards the group of Deep Nightmares.
"Ice Make Lance!" Said Gray as he creates multiple lances made of ice and launches them at the monsters.
"Fire Dragon Roar!" Said Natsu as he takes a deep breath and released a stream of fire from his mouth.
"Sky Dragon Roar!" Said Wendy as she takes a deep breath like Natsu did and released a powerful stream of wind from mouth towards the incoming monsters.
Lucy pulls out one of her golden keys, and this one looks like a arrow and has white circle in the middle, stamped with the crest of the Archer, colored in green. "Star Dress!" Said Lucy as she insert the key into her chest and her body glows a golden light for a second. When the glow dies down, it reveals a new outfit that Lucy has on. Her outfit consisting of a twin-tailed coat and sleeves that leave the shoulders and upper back bare. A pair of dark thigh-high boots with light trim at the top, which split above the knees to reveal the front of the thighs, are also donned. The hair is styled into a typical ponytail with two bangs framing the face. In addition, Sagittarius's zodiac sign is located on the left shoulder. "Sagittarius Form!" Said Lucy.
She summons a ornate bow with arrows possessing distinctive feathers and pulls the string back as a bunch of golden magic arrows. "Star Shot!" Said Lucy as she released multiple homing arrows towards the Deep Nightmares.
"Requip!" Said Erza as her body glows as she begins to change her armor. When the glows dies down, her armor has been changed to something else. This armor is golden and light bluish in color. The breastplate is decorated by golden trimmings, and has thin plates going up to surround Erza's neck. When using this armor, Erza's head gets adorned by a band with two ribbons on it, and her hair gets styled in a long braid. Also, the armor's weapon is a long spear, with a very large blade and a decorated circle resembling a shield attaching it to the shaft, which is adorned by a large ribbon. In her hands is a long spear with two spear heads and has a decorated circular wheel connecting the shaft with the spear heads. The wheel allows the two spear heads to create a cavity between the blades that unleashes an electric beam upon Erza's target. The weapon is decorated with a ribbon underneath the circular wheel that has two loose strands. "Lightning Empress Armor!" Said Erza. Erza then quickly points the tip of her spear towards the Deep Nightmares and fires a blue beam of lightning.
All the attacks begins to circle around Sonic stretched fist like it was fused attack or a Unison Raid move. The Deep Nightmares saw the attack and tries to slow down just enough to avoid it the attack. But they were too late as the combined attacks made contact with them. In that mere second, a massive colorful explosion formed that reached all the way into the sky and shakes the ground a bit. When the explosion cloud disappears after a few minutes, it reveals a large crater in the middle of the street. And it also shows that the Deep Nightmares on the ground before they disappeared into a puff of smoke signaling their defeat.
After defeating the Dark Gaia's creatures that were possessing them in one massive attack, the citizens of Spagonia were slowly going back to their normal selves and each town folk begins to slowly wake up and slowly begins to sit straight up. Who were slowly getting confused on what the heck just happed to them.
"W-What was I...just doing...?" the Professor's assistant wondered to himself.
Sonic slowly walks up to Amy and then gently grabs Amy by her shoulders and helps her up to her feet. The pink hedgehog flutters her eyes open and begins to turn around. But before she could see him, Sonic quickly rushes off, stretching his arms to grab onto a building and swings away, surprising Sonic friends.
"Ah, wait up!" Chip hollered as he turned to wave at Amy before flying after Sonic.
"Hey Sonic! Wait up buddy!" Said Natsu as he tries to chase after the Werehog.
"Don't just suddenly go off like that!" Said Lucy as she tries to call out to Sonic before chasing after him.
"Come back!" Said Happy and Carla as they try to fly after him.
"Sonic!" Said Gray and Erza as they call out Sonic name before trying to catch up with their friend.
Amy slowly takes a few steps forward and stares in the direction of where Sonic took off to. "Just now... was that Sonic?" Asked Amy as she is beyond confused right now.
Professor Pickle slowly comes into the area after just watching Sonic and the group took care of those creatures that were possessing everyone. "Ahh, that should calm things down around here. Chalk another one up for Sonic." said Professor Pickle as he approaches Amy.
"You know Sonic?!" Ask Amy as she walks up to him to confirm this.
"Of course." Professor Pickle nods. "He was here just a moment ago." He said to her as he gesture with his right hand in the direction of where Sonic just went.
"Tell me...what's happened to him?! Please, tell me everything you know!" Amy pleads as she grabs the Professor's hand and drags him off to the University.
"I will happily explain everything over a plate of cucumber sandwiches!" Said the Professor Pickle as he happy says this to Amy.
Ending:
The Ending scene starts with Sonic in his Werehog form looking towards the starry night with Chip floating next to him.

The next scene shows Were-Sonic walking under the moonlight with images of his friends and the ones from Fairy Tail going from left to right above Were-Sonic and Chip.

The next scene shows Sonic in his normal form and Chip as they stare out to the sea before they both turned to see Natsu, Happy and the other waving at them with smiles on their faces. Sonic and Chip looked at them for a moment before they both grinned big as the headed towards their friends.

The final scene shows a still image of Sonic running towards the Fairy Tail group with with his signature smirk and Chip following him with a big smile on his face. The scene transitions to the Title of the story; "Sonic X Fairy Tail: Unleashed".
Hello there everyone. It is Godzillahero3 here. I wanted to make a quick thing to say. I wanted to apologize for the small delay of this chapter. I was having a tiny bit of writers block. And having to deal with some family related issues. So, with that out of the way, you are probably surprised on the scene I had in this chapter with Jiemma appearing, in his Demon Form. If you wanna know why I introduce him in this chapter, it is simple. I really hated that guy from Fairy Tail on how he just hates animals and the way how he treated his former guild members. And the way on how he viewed friendship is weak and how he calls anyone weak for having feelings. So I thought I should introduce him in this chapter as like a boss fight against Sonic and Knuckles. I thought it would be a comical gag on how he was not only beated by someone he called weak but someone who was a animal being.
Another thing I wanted to explain about Chaos and Tikal appearing is because I thought it would be interesting from my point of view. I have a hard remembering if the game explained on what was keeping the water on the broken pieces on Earth during the Sonic Unleashed game. So I introduced Chaos because it mentions that he now appears when the planet Earth is in danger. And he is a god that can control water. So I had him appear to use the Master Emerald to spread his control of water all over the planet. And I introduce Tikal because she would request Knuckles, the last protector of the Master Emerald to go aid Sonic and his new friends in this story.
One more thing I wanted to explain is the red lighting that came out of Knuckles body. I really liked the Sonic movies that Paramount has released and giving like Sonic and Knuckles that special feature to increase their own special abilities. So I thought I could incorporate that into this story with Knuckles first. And the reason why that is happening will be explained much later in the story. Sorry about that, but I don't want to spoil too much yet okay?
