Chapter 5: Desire

Tucker was sitting on the steps of the front entrance of his school with his PDA in his left hand and a stylus in his right as he was writing a journal while repeating it in his head.

"Tucker Foley, journal entry #34. Some people have a lot and some people don't, but everyone's got something. Me? I've got charm, good looks, and modesty…." Tucker smiled as if it was the most factual thing he could have before his smile became a saddened frown as he looked back to his PDA. "My…...friend, Danny…..has more than I ever could." Tucker thought back to the events that happened in the last few days

Danny and Tucker were at a Swapmeet that usually comes on every month. They came to see if there was anything they could find for anything cheap since there was always a deal compared to stores.

Tucker picked up an item and looked it over before putting it down. "I don't get why you don't let me help you out during your fights. I can be a big help to you and we can get them done faster." he then gained a dazed smile as he thought 'and become popular with the ladies.'

Danny shook his head as this wasn't the first time that Tucker had brought this up. "Tuck, the fights are dangerous. My fight with skulker did a number on me and then there was the fight with Technus."

Danny shivered as he remembered the fight with the Tech ghost. He remembered the panic he felt when the police fired their guns on him and he had several holes in him. Then there was him winning the fight. He was lucky in that fight and even when he had won, he was riddled with lacerations from several sharp pieces of metal and glass that had embedded themselves in him. He figured that the reason that the bullets did nothing while the metal shards did was that the bullets weren't coated in anything related to ghosts while the shards were charged with ghost energy. Not only that, it was thanks to the rain causing Technus's battlesuit to malfunction that really won him the fight.

Danny looked to Tucker with a solemn look "look, Tucker, you're better off not being part of it."

Tucker sighed as he shrugged his shoulders "if you say so."

The two kept going through the swapmeet looking at different things. Danny tapped Tucker on his shoulder and gestured to his friend that he would be checking out something at another stand for a second which got a nod from Tucker. The tech nerd moved to another stand to look at some electronics while Danny moved over to an old woman's stand that had several "mystical items"

Danny looked at several of the items that were being sold and picked up several items to examine them. He paused as he grabbed what was labeled "genie in a bottle" and chuckled as he remembered the movie that had that premise. He put it down and kept looking around. After looking at several other items, his eyes caught the sight of something. He moved to it to see that it was a Cleopatra-style necklace. It wasn't anything special, it was just a gold metal band that had a single clamp that would allow it to be placed around someone's neck. The only other thing that it had was that it had a small hoop on the front as if it was meant to be for. He had a single thought come to his mind. 'I wonder if Dora would like this?' Despite how it had been some time since they met, he couldn't help but think of her and wonder when they would meet again. Despite the kiss they shared, he was still unsure how they should see each other but what would the harm be to at least…..try. He looked around to see if there was a price for the necklace but when he couldn't see anything, he turned to the old woman. "How much is this?"

The old woman turned around to look at him and shrugged. "Non-mystical item. Simple trinkets. Cheap."

Danny raised an eyebrow at this and looked at the necklace in his hand. 'Really? This thing looks like it could be worth a pretty penny. But if she says it's cheap with no real price.' "$5?"

The woman looked at the necklace and shrugged again before nodding.

Danny smiled and was about to pull out his wallet to pay for it when he felt he should get another one. After looking through the non-mystical items he found another necklace but this one was a different color scheme and was more decorated. He shrugged as he couldn't see Dora liking it but who knows. He might use it as a gag gift for Jazz since he knew for a fact that she would be dumbfounded at it. Besides, it wasn't much of a hit on his wallet. He paid $10 for the two and had them placed in a box. He took one last look around and suddenly felt a chill run up his spine as he did. He remembered the last time that happened during the incident with Poindexter. 'Is there something with ghost energy nearby?' he tried to pinpoint it but with how everything was close by and cluttered with stuff, he couldn't pinpoint it. Not seeing anything that stood out he ran off to see if he could find it again.

After Danny left, a mother and daughter duo were walking past a nearby cotton candy stand with the daughter pointing at it with her arm that had a balloon tied to the wrist. "Mommy mommy! Can I have cotton candy?!"

The mother looked at her daughter and reprimanded her "you've already had two cones and 3 candied apples. You've had enough sugar for the day."

"I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT! I WISH I HAD ALL THE COTTON CANDY"

The last part was heard by everyone, including a ghost that had been trapped in a bottle for almost a millennia. Out of a bottle that was placed on the shelf of the stand Danny was just at, came a voluptuous female ghost with long black hair and dress in a harem girl's attire and a long genie tail instead of legs. "So you have wished it, so shall it be." the ghost waved her hands in the air and her magic flowed to the cotton candy stand, before enveloping the machine, causing the cotton candy to increase in volume and burst upwards

The cotton candy kept flowing before it made a massive wave of it to run through the swap meet.

The little girl that had asked for the sweet treat turned around and gave a mad grin as she called out "COTTON CAN…." she didn't get to finish her statement as the wave enveloped her as well as everyone there. (that little girl does not need any more sugar in her life)

Danny made it to Tucker as he began to bring up his thoughts on what he believes he sensed "Tucker! There's…."

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

Danny didn't have the chance to finish as he heard screams coming from behind him. He turned to see the wave of cotton candy flowing over the people. It was then that his ghost sense fully went off and he looked up to see the ghost that caused the trouble looking down at the mess. He turned to his friend and handed him the box "hold this for me!"

Tucker looked down at the box in his hands and began to question "but I can…" he didn't finish as he saw his friend transform and fly up "...help."

Danny flew up to the ghost and glared at her which became a look of surprise when she didn't seem to be aiming for a fight but instead introduced herself

"I am Desiree, what is your wish?"

Danny was taken aback by the sudden question but he steeled himself "a little personal, don't you think?!"

Desiree did not seem offended at the harsh way the question was asked. Instead, she smiled and reached out "No need to be so on guard. There must be something you desire, so why not tell me what is it you wish for?" she pressed her hand on his chest and channeled a bit of her energy.

Danny blushed as she pressed her hand gently on his chest and had no clue how to respond to this. He didn't notice the glow from her hand as his mind was stalling.

Desiree used her power to find the deepest desire within the boy. This usually helped in tempting the person into making the wish and increasing her power since at the moment she was still weak from being trapped in the bottle for all this time. After a second she found what his deepest desire was. She smiled as it was a desire that she had once held but the smile dropped when she remembered what it led to. Removing the frown from her face, she gave a seductive smile as she moved closer to him "ah, the love of another." she floated around him with her ghost tail twirling around his lower half. She was now behind him as she gently caressed his face and whispered into his ear. "All you need to do is wish it and her love will be yours."

Danny shuddered at the whisper before shaking his head and floating away from her. He turned and glared at her with his fist ready. "Gaining something like that would make it meaningless!"

Desiree was stunned at this since she did not expect something like that to come from anyone. When offered to have something for free, they would immediately jump at the chance. Yet here was this boy, denying the chance to get it. And to have the love of someone would be one of the greatest motivators. 'Interesting.' Before she could say anything, she felt a pull towards a different location. She gave one final smirk towards the boy before her form disappeared in smoke.

"Hey wait!" Danny looked around to see if he could find her but his ghost sense wasn't warning him of anything

"Danny!"

Danny looked at the ground to see Tucker waving at him. He floated down and sighed as he was a little miffed that he let Desiree escape.

Tucker didn't notice his friend's downed mood "scared the ghost off huh. Not bad dude."

Before Danny could say anything he heard several calls for help and turned to see that several people were still stuck in the mountain of cotton candy. "Hold on, Tuck. I gotta help them." Danny flew over the cotton candy mountain before going intangible and flying inside.

Tucker stood on the sidelines as he watched his friend pull person after person out of the pink blob. He saw that Danny finished with it and once he landed, most of the people began to give their thanks to him and crowd around him. Tucker crossed his arms and huffed at the celebrity type of attention Danny was getting with most of them being the younger group while the adults were wary of him.

Danny blushed in embarrassment as everyone was crowding him. "It was uh...nothing." he nervously looked around before he went invisible and flew off

Tucker sighed before walking away from the stunned crowd. He began to make his way to the entrance where he saw Danny waiting for him

Danny waved to Tucker and smiled "hey, sorry for that. You ready to go?"

Tucker nodded as he handed over the box Danny gave him earlier. "What'd you get anyway?"

Danny looked at the box before shrugging "just a little something that I thought someone else might like."

"Ooooh is it the latest PDA?! Gimme gimme gimme!"

Danny held the box away as he laughed "it's not a PDA."

"Liar! Show me!"

Back at the swap meet, the little girl was taking bites out of the mountain of cotton candy. "Yummy!"

~five days later, friday~

Danny was drooling on his desk as he was dead tired, no pun intended, from the lack of sleep he had for the whole week. He had been dealing with so many strange events that he had no idea how they happened.

On Monday, there was a major lack of cars on the highway with everyone asking where their cars went. The only car that was still there belonged to a businessman who didn't seem to care about the people still on the road. He had to stop the guy from running over anyone. After he spent an hour trying to find out what had caused it, he went back to school since he found nothing but small residual ghost energy. It was later that he heard from the news that all the cars ended up back at the owners' houses with no one knowing how the cars ended up there with the people still on the road.

Tuesday was an odd one when he found a bunch of farm animals flying in the sky. Though with no real control from what he could tell. The term "when pigs fly" came to mind when he had to bring down a bunch of them. Once he put them back at the farm, they acted as if nothing happened and the ghost energy that had made them fly was gone.

Wednesday, was an animal breakout from the zoo. Something like this would usually be handled by animal control and the zoo staff but Danny's ghost sense had him be part of the cleanup. The last animal was a family of purple back gorillas that were friendly enough with the baby gorilla crawling on his back and picking at his hair.

Thursday was a simple day with a few other ghosts coming out but at that point, he was working on very little sleep so the fight took longer and he wasn't able to get any sleep at all

"Mr. Fenton!"

Danny bolted up in his seat as he shouted out "THE CAPITAL OF WASHINGTON IS OLYMPIA!" The sound of laughing caused him to fully wake up as he looked around to see that everyone in the classroom was laughing at him. He shrunk in his seat as he blushed in embarrassment.

Mr. Lancer sighed as he looked at the boy "well done, Mr. Fenton. That would be correct if we weren't talking about the emotions Shakespeare wanted to convey in his works." Mr. Lancer shook his head as he reprimanded him. "As punishment for not caring about the class, you won't be allowed to attend the football game tonight."

Danny gave a bored look at that as he thought 'not being able to go to a game where I can watch Dash be a jock against a team that has a better record than our school? …...oh nooooo whatever will I do' he made sure to keep this in his head as the heavy amounts of sarcasm might have gotten him a different punishment

Mr. Lancer, thinking that the look on Danny's face was one of disappointment at not being allowed to go, turned back to the front of the class and continued. "Now we understand that in many of his works, tragedy would be the most prevalent genre used, which should invoke sadness. But if we look at the earlier moments in them….."

Danny slumped his head on his desk as he did his best to stay awake

~that night~

Danny was flying through the skies on an early patrol since he had nothing else to do since Tucker was weaseled into being the mascot for the game. Fortunately for him, it was a very quiet night with no ghosts around or any random things happening. It was when he came to this realization that he thought about the genie ghost that he ran into at the swap meet. He hadn't been able to catch her since then and he had been searching through most of the town. "I'm going to have to deal with her when I find her cause I can't help but think all the weird stuff that happened might be related to her." He had no real proof that she was the one that was causing the weird stuff but he had nothing else to go on.

It was then that Danny saw the very ghost he was looking for flying in the distance. He flew after her. He followed her as she flew through town. He had to stop abruptly as he saw her immediately change into another direction. He followed her and stopped midair as he saw her enter a pet store. "What could she be doing in a pet store?"

Suddenly a teenage employee ran out of the store just seconds before all of the pets burst out of the widows. The issue was that they had all gotten bigger and monstrous.

Danny was shocked to see what was happening and he saw her fly out of the building towards another direction. He shifted his gaze from her to the rampaging pets and sighed. "Why can't I catch a break?" he flew down to stop a monster rabbit from chomping down on an orange car. Taking a chance he phased into the bunny to get the ghost energy that he could feel coming from it. He then came out with a ghastly visage of a monster rabbit. "Glad that worked." he pulled out his thermos and sucked the ghost into it. "One down….." he then looked at the other rampaging animals and said in a depressed tone. "A hundred more to go." he then chased after a group of monster cats.

~football game~

Tucker had been forced into filling in for the mascot for the game and was doing his best to flap around for the game. "Aw, man. Why do I gotta be doing this while Danny gets to have fun using his ghost powers?"

Danny winced as his back was slammed into the ground as a monster ghost cat pinned him to the ground. He looked up at the red eyes of the cat that was about the size of an RV. seeing it raise its paw and unleash sword-like claws, he phased through the ground before it made contact. He flew underground before phasing right underneath it and into the monster cat. He grabbed the ecto beast inside and pulled it out of the cat. Once out, he spun around and threw it into the wall of a building. Grabbing his thermos, he captured the beast before capping it. He didn't have time to relax as another monster cat slashed at his back leaving four deep gashes on his back. He winced as he felt the blood and ectoplasm leak from them. Turning around to see the monster cat, he charged ecto energy into his palm before thrusting it into its chest and sending the ecto beast out of the body. He captured that one and saw that the two monster ghost cats turned back into kittens that began to play with each other. "Gah!" he flew at the kittens and picked them up and out of the way of a large tail slam from an ecto lizard. He put the kittens in a box that was at the edge of an alley before picking up the box and did some evasive flying as the lizard snapped at him. "Why can't this be easy? Geh!" he turned in his flight as a large ecto snake appeared and tried to wrap itself around him. He was able to fly out of the grasp as he avoided the snapping lizard's mouth. "I thought Kaiju were supposed to fight each other, not me!"

Tucker flapped his arms as the mascot of the school was a raven. He kept doing this as he watched his school's football team be demolished by the other school's. "Our team sucks. There's no way they're gonna win this." After watching the score lean more to the opposing team, Tucker stopped his flapping and just stood there watching. "I thought filling in for the mascot would get me to meet cheerleaders from the other school. But I haven't had the time to even get one of their numbers."

The game ended with the Casper high team not getting one point. This did not bode well for the team….or Tucker

Dash grabbed Tucker and started swinging him around like a lasso. After being spun around till he felt nauseous, Tucker found himself hanging by his feet on the goal post. "Bet Danny doesn't have to deal with this. If I had his powers I would show them not to mess with me. Bet Danny does it all the time. Man, I wish I had ghost powers too."

Suddenly behind him, a pink mist appeared and swirled around till it took the form of Desiree. "So you have wished….so shall it be~"

Tucker turned his body in time to see the genie ghost wave her hands and a sparkling mist enveloped him. He shut his eyes as it hit but he didn't feel anything happen to him. Opening his eyes again he saw Desiree flying off in another direction. "What the?" Suddenly he gained some transparency and fell through the suit and onto the ground, headfirst. "OW!" he got to his feet and wondered how he got out of that. He scratched his head as he leaned his hand on the post. It was then he fell through it and realized that he had phased through it. "Sweet!" understanding how to use his powers instantly he flew off to have some fun

Danny grabbed the tail of an oversized green mouse before he flew up and then slammed it on the ground. He made sure not to put much strength in it so as to not hurt the mouse. Once the mouse was stunned he reached in and grabbed the ecto beast and sucked it into the thermos. He capped it and looked around to see that all the pets had been turned back to normal. He sighed in relief as he floated down to the ground. Now that the fight was over he started panting as the adrenaline had left him. "Please let that be the last of it for the night." he grimaced as he heard the sound of a large vehicle driving in his direction. Turning his head, he felt something in his chest stop. He thought it was odd that something in his chest stopped since when he was in his ghost form, his heart didn't beat but he didn't have time to think about it since he recognized the vehicle barreling towards him.

It was the Fenton RV, or as his parents like to call it: The Fenton Ecto assault Vehicle.

Jack was behind the wheel as he followed the ecto radar. "We got it this time, Mads. we finally get to catch a ghost!"

Maddie tapped the radar as she tilted her head in confusion. "We better hurry, Jack. That radar had picked up about forty of them but now there is only one. We have to capture it so we can dissect it and figure out how it works." she pulled out her ecto gun and checked its charge before she continued "reminds me of the call we got from that government agency. Saying that we should share with them our discoveries so they can better prep for when the ghosts attack."

Jack smiled widely at the mention of the agents. "We should! If we work together we can make more ghost weapons with the funding they could give us!"

Maddie shook her head "Jack, we already get funding for our research and if the government agency were to see our research, we could lose full rights to them. It's best we keep our discoveries a secret till we have full rights and understanding. And when we do, let me handle the deal."

"Got it, Maddie." he made a left turn and immediately brightened up even more. "There it is!"

Maddie looked out the front window to see a ghost boy sitting next to a tree. "Let's go, Jack."

Jack stopped the vehicle and immediately grabbed the Fenton Bazooka. He and his wife then jumped out of the vehicle and pointed their guns at the ghost "Freeze, Spook!" Jack then let out a shot at it

Danny ducked the shot and phased through the ground and moved in the opposite direction of his parents.

Maddie lowered her gun as she glared at the spot the ghost got away from. She looked around at the damage that was done and knew that the ghost was responsible. "Nothing but destruction. No doubt it thought it was fun to destroy things." She then noticed some green substance on the ground and reached into her pouch to pull out a few items. She put on a glove and put it on as she went to get a sample of the ectoplasm.

~later~

Danny phased into the lab and made his way to the ghost portal. He sighed as he placed the thermos into a slot that was on the console to the side of the portal. He pressed a button on the thermos and ejected the ecto-beasts that possessed the pets. He watched as the beasts entered the portal and disappear within it. He thought it was odd as the other ghosts that he put into the ghost zone always looked like they swirled along with the green swirling energy. But these beasts linked like dissipating gas. He would have thought about this more but he felt his energy leaving him and he needed rest so he flew upwards through the ceiling.

Danny made it to his room and dropped to his knees in exhaustion. Despite how the adrenaline from the fight had left him, the fear of being shot at by his parents forced him to push himself, even more, to get away. Now that he was able to calm down, he finally felt his wounds all over him. The worst of it were the gashes he had on his back and the bite on his leg. He slowly got to his feet, placed the thermos on his desk, and made his way to the bathroom with his towel. He chose to clean himself of his ectoplasm and blood. Once he was undressed and the shower was on with cool water, he entered it and relaxed as the cool water calmed down the stinging. "I hope this gets easier. This is a really tough job…. Heh heh and I don't get paid enough." He did his best to relax as he knew that his faster healing would deal with his wounds.

Unknown to him. His wounds were healing but the large ones on his back were healing faster than usual and with black scales over the scar tissue.

~meanwhile~

Tucker flew into a restaurant while invisible and looked around to see that it was full of people enjoying a late meal. There were even a few people at the bar having drinks with some friends. Rubbing his hands together he looked around while whispering. "Now….where to start? Oooh!" he flew down to a two-person table that only had one person at it.

The person was a man who was enjoying a well-done steak with a mushroom cream soup with a side of bread. He began to cut a piece of his steak till he heard the noise of someone pulling up a chair. Due to the closeness of it, he looked around to see who it was. Not seeing anyone new sitting down, he shrugged his shoulders before taking a bite. He heard the noise again and turned his eyes towards the noise. He grew confused when he saw that the chair across from him was no longer in its original position. His eyes grew wide when he saw the chair move on its own. He moved his head around to see if someone was messing with him but no one else seemed to notice. He tried to think about what it could be but he froze when he saw a pair of utensils float in the air towards his steak and began to cut it into pieces. He was frozen in fear at the sight and he sat there watching as the steak began to disappear. Once the steak was gone, the utensils dropped on his plate, which caused him to get out of his frozen fear and jump out of his seat "AAAAAAHHHHHH!" the man then ran out of the restaurant in a panic

Everyone watched this happen and wondered what just happened. They didn't have to wonder long as the ornaments that were on the shelves began to fall to the ground. Everyone watched this happen as one by one, objects were flung from the shelves. Then napkins began to fly off the table causing the people to jump up from their seats and stare.

"What's going on!?"

"I don't know!"

"It's a poltergeist."

"Don't be stupid, ghosts arent real."

As this was being said by the restaurant guests, several of them began to pull out their phones and record the event, though with shaky hands. Then multiple plates began and glasses began to float around before spinning in a twister fashion.

People were close to bolting from the restaurant, including the employees but they held their ground for now. But it was what was heard next that sent them all running.

"GEEE~T~ OOOO~UUUT~"

That set them off as everyone in restraint ran out in a panic.

Once the restaurant was empty, the security cameras were broken before a laughing Tucker popped into existence. "Hahahaha oh man, that was hilarious. Once he stopped laughing he looked at the tables and saw that a good helping of ham was served "ooh. My kind of meal." without any regard, he began to eat the meat dishes he could in the now-empty restaurant. "Bet Danny did this so many times."

Danny slowly opened the fridge and grabbed the tin water bottle. He took a swig of it and felt his energy improve as the ectoplasm inside the bottle entered his body. "I really hope this isn't some kind of ghost drug." looking back into the fridge he saw that there wasn't anything made so he knew he would need to make himself something. He began to make himself a sandwich as he wondered if his parents were still at the pet store. Before he gained his powers and the portal was activated, he almost wished that his parents would have found a ghost to prove their studies. Despite how they still got funding for their research, they were seen as crazy for believing in ghosts. Now he really wished they didn't, especially because of their daily mumblings of ghosts. He finished making his sandwich and sat down to eat by himself since he knew that Jazz was at the library doing more studying.

~a couple of days later, sunday~

Danny was walking through town while looking around for anything that could be out of the ordinary. Several news channels had reported several businesses being haunted, with floating objects, food vanishing, and even products disappearing from the shelves. He guessed that there might have been a ghost that was doing things in a more subtle way since all other ghosts he had dealt with had been more…. Pronounced. So far he hadn't been able to sense anything as he walked past some of the stores that were hit. He almost thought it was Technus as most of the stores were tech stores. But he hadn't heard any of the ghost's long-winded speeches so he just brushed that thought off. "Where could this ghost be? I already have another ghost out there causing weird things to happen but now I have this meddling one."

The other thing was of notice was that this was kind of like the stuff you would see in movie ghosts. If he knew how he could have put all the vids of the encounters together and make a "found footage film.". And it all happened in the span of a couple days.

As Danny kept looking around, he heard screaming coming from somewhere. Looking around he focused on his hearing to see if he could pinpoint where it was coming from. He then gasped out a blue mist as he felt the energy of a ghost coming from above him. Looking up he saw a car…..flying. "What the?!" he noticed the ghostly aura around it and figured that Desiree was the cause of this. He ran into an alley and transformed into Danny Phantom before flying off to catch the car.

The car was an orange Volkswagen beetle with a surfboard tied to the top. The driver was a stereotypical blonde surfer, who was at the moment screaming his head off as he held onto the wheel for dear life.

Danny flew to the window before knocking on it. "I'm gonna have to ask for your license and registration, as well as your permit for flying."

"YIIII AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"

Danny saw the car fly faster and was about to catch up till he heard something else

"Don't worry, Danny I got this."

Danny stopped mid-flight as he watched Tucker fly off with the car. "Tucker!?" he couldn't believe it. Tucker had ghost powers. He shook his head to get out of his shock as he flew faster to catch up

Tucker flew into the car's passenger seat as he spoke in a smug tone. "Don't worry, dude, Tucker Phantom is on it."

Danny phased through the back of the car and sat down in the back seat. "Tucker 'Phantom'? Ok, ignoring the copyright lawsuit I could do, how did you get ghost powers?!"

Tucker looked behind him and smirked, "who knows, and more importantly who cares?"

Danny shook his head as he focused on what he needed to do. "We can talk about this later. Right now I have a job to do." he looked up at the car ceiling and placed his hand on it. 'Ok, I can remove the ghost energy from the car, and then I can use intangibility to float us to the ground.' as he focused on the ghost energy in the car, he was thrown into the door as the car jerked side to side. "GAH!" he looked at the front seat to see Tucker with his hands on the wheel. "Tucker! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

Tucker ignored Danny as he kept spinning the wheel, causing the vehicle to jut left and right.

Danny clung to the door as the car kept spiraling out of control. "Tucker, let go of the wheel! We're too young to drive!"

"I got this!"

The surfer was clinging to the seat as he screamed for dear life. But his scream increased when he saw that they were flying towards the side of a skyscraper. "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH"

Tucker finally looked up as he had his eyes on the wheel instead of where they were flying "YAAAAAAAAAAH" he ended up hugging the surfer who hugged him back as they saw they were getting closer to the building.

Danny also saw what they were screaming about and gripped the seat as he focused his powers on the car and its occupants. He then made them intangible as the car flew through the building wall, office wall, cubicles, and the workers inside all the while the other two were screaming as they phased through. Once they were through, he let his intangibility go as he sighed in relief that it worked.

Tucker leaned out the passenger window and looked behind them before scoffing. "Oh sure, phase us through the building. You had to save the day, didn't you?"

Danny gave Tucker an incredulous look as he jabbed his finger behind him "Tuck, we almost crashed into the side of an office building that had people in it. Someone could have been hurt! I wasn't going to let that happen!"

Tucker scoffed again "you're just jealous. Because there's someone else to grab the spotlight now."

Danny could not believe what he was hearing. "'Spotlight'!? What 'spotlight'!? You make it sound like I'm a celebrity! What did I do to make you think that I was one?!"

"How about right now when you showed off by phasing through the building!"

Danny shook his head as he looked out the window to see they were entering the farmlands of Amity. "I don't have time for this. I gotta get the ghost energy out of this car and land it safely on the ground." he placed a hand on the ceiling again as he focused on pulling the energy out

"Like I'm gonna let you show me off again!" He placed his own hand on the car ceiling and tried to do what Danny was doing.

However, Tucker didn't know what he was doing so instead of pulling the energy out of the car, he was enhancing it which forced the car to go faster.

Danny panicked as he felt the energy get stronger. He looked to see that it was Tucker that was doing it and screamed "Tucker, STOP!" looking past Tucker, he saw that they were about to crash into a Storage tower. On instinct, he jumped at the Surfer and Tucker while making himself and the other two intangible and phased them out of the car.

The three landed in a haystack as the car crashed into the tower, making a hole at the top.

Danny phased out of the haystack while pulling the other two with him. He put them down and looked to the surfer. "You ok?"

The surfer dusted himself off before a chicken landed on his head. "Haha, I got a chicken on my head. That is better than being up there." he pointed at the hole of the tower where the car could still be heard

Danny looked up at the hole and winced. 'Oh great, more damage.' he sighed before looking at Tucker. "Tuck, what the hell!? You almost got us killed!"

Tucker scoffed as he floated into the air. "Yeah, right. You're just mad that there is another ghost kid in town!"

"Tucker, wait!"

Tucker ignored Danny as he spun around and flew off at high speeds, making a small boom and leaving an energy trail behind him.

Danny covered his eyes from the hay that was picked up from Tucker leaving. "Woah, that was fast." he looked in the direction Tucker went and narrowed his eyes. "I have a bad feeling about this." he sighed as he looked up at the hole before flying upwards towards the car. He saw that it was still moving forward but the other wall was holding strong. He flew towards it and placed his hands on the hood of the car before pulling out the ghost energy with his left hand. He made the car intangible with his right hand and floated out of the tower and before putting the car. He looked at the ghost energy that was in his hand and was about to put it into his thermos but then to his shock, it dissipated into the air. Danny tried to sense if it was still around but his sense told him that it was gone. 'well …..that helps.' He looked at the surfer and asked "you ok from here?"

The surfer was petting the chicken when he was asked before he put it down and nodded "chaha. I can make my way back home from here."

Danny nodded as he flew off back to the main part of the city. 'What the hell is up with Tuck?' as he entered, he paused as his ghost sense went off again. "Oh, come on!" he looked to see a few normal ecto animals. He flew after them as they had a higher priority at the moment.

~next day at school~

Danny was sitting at the base of a tree as he chose to take a small nap during lunch. The thing was that he was leaning on his side against the tree as his back was still sensitive from the fight he had with the pets possessed by those ecto beasts.

When he got to school he wanted to talk to Tucker about his sudden ghost powers but the African American boy wasn't at school.

He was brought out of his little nap as his ghost sense went off. The sense jolted him awake and he looked around to see if he could see it. But after a second he figured that the ghost must have been somewhere else in the school. So getting up, he made his way towards the school and followed his senses.

Unbeknownst to Danny, Tucker was at school but he was spending all his time pranking many of the other students.

Pantsing several students.

Increasing the pressure of drinking fountains

Pouring soda in tubas of music students that were practicing

And taking the homework of many others

Tucker laughed all the while as he did all this as he was having the time of his life. "Man, why didn't Danny tell me about all the things you could do with these powers? Probably trying to keep all the fun to himself." he then looked down the hall to see Kwan talking to his girlfriend Star. gaining a smirk he turned invisible and flew towards them.

Kwan smiled as he had his arm around his girlfriend, Star's shoulder as they were making their way to the cafeteria since Kwan had to go to the library at the end of class to get a book that he needed. "Sorry I held you up while I got the book. You could have gone on without me."

Star shook her head "the cafeteria isn't going anywhere so it's not like I'm missing anything. Besides, the food isn't that good. Well, except for those few days where we kept getting restaurant-style meals."

Kwan placed his free hand on his stomach as he remembered the food. "Man, I miss those meals. It was like going to a five-star restaurant and only paying five bucks for the meal. I think it was because we had a new lunch lady at that time. Wish she came back."

"Me too."

Before the conversation could continue, Kwan found his pants drop to his ankles, causing him to trip, and since he had his arm around Star, brought her down with him. The two yelp as they fell and due to this sudden event, they didn't hear the laughing of an invisible being

Tucker was laughing as he saw the two A-Listers fall to the ground. After a few seconds, he tried to stifle his laughter but was having a hard time. His laughter stopped when he found himself being pulled through the wall and into a classroom. He opened his eyes to see that it was Danny that pulled him in.

Danny took a deep breath to stave off a yawn. "Tucker, what the heck are you doing?"

Tucker got up with a smile on his face. "Just having some fun."

Danny felt his eyes droop but shook it off. 'I really need to find Desiree. All the ghostly stuff that is happening has to be her and I haven't been able to get any sleep because of it.' "Tucker, look…."

Tucker brought his arms up as he had a look of understanding. "No need. You can keep all that hero stuff. I think it's more fun to do this for the kicks." he ended his statement with a cocky smirk.

Danny shook his head "tuck, you can't just use these powers for whatever you want!"

"Why not? You do it all the time."

Danny looked at Tucker incredulously. He remembered using his powers in such a way with Poindexter but after the whole event, he chose not to do it again. Especially since, despite how he was satisfied with the little bit of payback, it didn't last. "Tucker, I only did it once! And in the end, it wasn't worth it."

Tucker brushed off the statement as he walked away from Danny. "Yeah right." Tucker chose to walk away but was stopped when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Tucker, this is serious! Someone could get hurt!"

Tucker shrugged Danny's hand off and shoved him back.

Danny, thanks to his clumsy nature and the many nights of little sleep, caused him to trip on his feet and fall on his back.

Tucker moved to stand over Danny as he glared at the down boy. "Don't touch me again! GOT IT!?"

Danny nervously nodded at the harsh reaction. "Got it."

"Good. I don't care what you have to say, I'm doing what I want when I want and I don't need you!"

Danny watched as Tucker flew off and he couldn't help but ask himself. "The power is corrupting him fast and….. was his skin turning green?"

[I guess that was when it all started falling apart. Danny was only trying to help….but I didn't listen to him when he knew what he was talking about…..but now…]

Danny made his way to the same tree he was using before as he could barely stay awake anymore. He made it to the tree and placed his hand on it and was about to sit down but his ghost sense went off and he turned his head to see Tucker hiding behind a post and looking towards Paulina. "*sigh* really?" he watched as Tucker turned intangible and into the girl. He walked over to the now possessed Latina with a dry look

Paulina turned to look at Danny with her hand on her hip. "I just wanna let you know that I'm going to start dating Tucker Foley now. I just noticed that he is so cool but with you around, I just couldn't see it"

Danny rubbed his eyes as he spoke "tucker, get out of her."

Paulina crossed her arms as she turned away. "Why should I? You're just jealous that I can actually get Paulina to say something like that."

Danny covered up a yawn before glaring "Tucker, this is getting out of hand. You're making a mess of the school and there are a bunch of other kids getting paranoid."

Tucker only half-listened to what Danny said as he was looking don at Paulina's breasts and started using his hands to lift them up and down

"TUCKER!"

Tucker turned and shoved a finger into Danny's face "why don't you get off my back and let me have my fun?"

Danny shoved the finger aside and got into his/her face. "Your 'fun' is causing harm to others! I mean what you just did is sexual harassment!" he then lowered his voice as he noticed a bunch of other students watching these two. "The ghost powers you got are messing with you! They're making you become a menace!"

Tucker scoffed as he crossed his/her arms. "Puh-lease. No one caught me when I had my fun in the city."

Danny paused as he heard this. His tired riddle mind chewed on this info till it clicked. "Wait, all that stuff happening to stores and restaurants was you!?"

Tucker chose to walk away as he tried to sway Paulina's hips like he was trying to be a supermodel. "I got these powers from that genie ghost and I'm gonna use them how I want."

Danny shook his head as he turned around from Tucker and walked away. "Then I'm gonna have to find her and have her fix this."

Tucker spun around and glared at Danny's back, making Paulina's eyes glow bright red. He chose to do nothing since it was a public place. Instead, he walked away with the poor hip sway to get a bunch of boys to ask Paulina out and he would shoot them down….harshly.

~elsewhere~

Danny had no idea where to look for Desiree since he had scoured the entire city before but had no luck. He then remembered about the swap meet stand he bought the necklaces at, had that "genie in the bottle". He smacked his forehead as he realized that the bottle must have held Desiree inside since he found that bottle and only minutes later did she show up and cause a mess.

He found the same stand with the old woman and asked about the so-called "genie in a bottle".

Desiree was once an Arabian harem girl that worked in a palace. She served as a dancer for the sultan, who promised her heart's desire: her own kingdom. She continued to work as such and it turned out that she even grew fond of the Sultan's son and vice versa. She dreamed of having a life with him in the kingdom that she was promised and how much happiness her life would get from this.

However, the sultan's wife came in a ruined all her hard work by banishing Desiree out of the kingdom. The wife assumed that Desiree was trying to steal the sultan away from her since she saw Desiree as nothing but a harlot since she was a harem girl.

Desiree had nowhere else to go since she was born into that life so she had no family to go back to. Desiree was forced to wander the Arabian desert dreaming of her heart's greatest desire. She died with that dream being her only companion.

Afterward, her spirit wandered the world, granting a person's deepest desire in the form of wishes. Though the wishes always had a cost

Danny thought about everything he learned about Desiree. He thought that it was tragic that she had worked hard to gain a life all her own only to have it taken away from someone else. He found himself in the park in front of the large fountain that was in the center. He knew that this was a dumb idea but he had nothing else. He pulled out a quarter and positioned it in his hand ready to flip it with his thumb. "Want a wish granted, the best to find a wishing well…..or fountain but …..whatever" he flipped the coin into the air and watched as it fell into the water. He looked around, waiting for anything to happen. After a few seconds of nothing, he sighed before walking away from the fountain and past a businessman with red hair. "Damn it. I was really hoping that would work."

Behind Danny, the businessman pulled out his own quarter and spoke. "I wish I had a million bucks." with a depressed sigh, he flipped the coin into the fountain.

Suddenly green mist came out of the fountain and surrounded the man. "So you have wished it, so shall it be~"

Danny paused as he felt his ghost sense go off and he turned around to see Desiree floating around the man. "Finally." he transformed into Danny Phantom and flew towards the wishing ghost.

The man had a smile on his face as he heard that his wish was granted. He then got a notification on his phone. He pulled his phone out and looked at the notification that stated a million dollars was just deposited into his account. He shot his arms in the air and cheered before heading off to spend the money.

Danny watched the guy run off before he flew up to Desiree. "Hey!"

The genie ghost turned to see it was the same boy that she had met during her release. She clapped her hands as she smiled "ah, have you come to me to have your heart's desire fulfilled?"

Danny clenched his fists as he floated in front of her. "All I want is for you to take away Tucker's ghost powers! Whatever you did to him is changing him….and not for the better!"

Desiree's smile dropped for a second before it turned into a knowing smirk. "You seem to be misunderstanding the way things are." she began to float back into the trees.

Danny flew after Desiree as he did not want to lose her again. He didn't have to fly long as he saw Desiree just float in the middle of the heavily forested area of the park.

Desiree smiled as she watched the boy float in front of her. "You believe that the powers I granted him altered him?" she turned invisible as she used the forest as a way to stay hidden

"Hey!" Danny looked around to see if he could spot her but it was no good. But he knew she was still here since she continued to speak

"For a ghost, the power does nothing to alter who they are. It is our very nature that alters the power."

Danny kept looking around to where he heard Desiree was but she seemed to be moving around.

"Our power responds to who we are deep down and begins to change our appearance to match who we are inside. It also brings out who we are to the surface."

Danny didn't like where this was going. And the odd thing that was happening with this was that his ghost sense kept going off.

"We hold nothing back when it comes to our character. So whatever action he has been doing, was not a product of the ghost powers given to him."

Danny's fist lowered as he was registering what this meant. 'If the power isn't changing him…..then this is just how he is."

Desiree appeared behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck and pressing her breasts against his back. "He is letting out his own desire~"

Danny had heard enough. Pushing away from Desiree, he spun fast and charged his ecto ray. "LIAR!" he blasted her away before flying after her.

Desiree corrected herself mid-air and saw him charging at her. Glaring at the boy, she charged at him as well. Once she got close enough, she shifted her left hand into a lasso and shifted her flight path as she looped the lasso around Danny's body and tightened it around his torso. She kept moving forward as she extended the lasso before she stopped both her flight and extension before swinging the boy around and through him at a tree.

Danny grunted in pain as he tried to get the lasso off him. He was surprised to see that it disappeared. He looked up to see Desiree fly off in a random direction. "Oh no you don't!" he flew after her to take her down. He found her granting the wish of a woman who began to walk away with a man that appeared out of nowhere. He flew at her with his fists stretched out.

Desiree smirked as she knew that he was behind her. She turned her right hand into a flyswatter and waited for him to get closer. She then turned around and swatted him out of the air and onto the ground. She shited her weapon back into her hand before enlarging it and smashing down on the boy.

Danny saw the large fist coming down on him and brought his arms up in an attempt to block it. The fist smashed into him and he grunted in pain by the force. Then once again, he saw her fly off into another direction. "What is she doing? Is she trying to lure me into another trap?" this time he flew low in the same direction. When he got to where Desiree was, he saw two other strangers. One smiling wide as he held a lottery ticket and the other holding a pair of what looked like concert tickets. He ignored them as they ran off, and charged his ecto energy in his hand as he sent it at Desiree.

Desiree turned and swatted it away before enlarging her fist and sent a punch at the ghost boy.

Danny was unprepared by the sudden counter and took the fist. He was sent flying till he crashed into a bench. Grunting in pain he peeked through one eye. "What the hell? Before that blast sent her flying. Now she swats it away like it's nothing." he slowly got to his feet and held his side. "And I don't know if it's me or not but that hit seemed stronger than the last one."

He didn't have time to think about it since he saw her appear in front of him with a smirk on her face.

Desiree looked down on the boy before bringing her hand up in an elegant manner. She then sent out a pink ecto ray at the boy who screamed when it hit him in the chest and sent him flying into a tree

~at the school~

Tucker smirked as he was in the school records office and using the computer to change his grades so he would be a straight-A student. "Heh, I should have done this sooner." his smirk grew as he leaned back and kicked his feet up onto the desk as he looked at his grades. His smirk dropped as he thought about Danny and what he said he was going to do. "Without these powers, I wouldn't be able to do any of this. And without his powers he would be nothing but a simple kid." he got up from his seat as he glared at the wall. "And he wants to take away the best thing that happened in my life?!" he clenched his fists as his skin turned completely green. "Why should I give up my powers?! If he wasn't around, I wouldn't have any more problems." he then increased in size as he became a hulking version of himself. "So all I have to do is get rid of Danny Phantom." he then flew off through the ceiling at such a speed he broke the computer he was using

~park~

Danny shot out an Ecto ray and kept the stream up as he tried to hit Desiree. He followed her path as she spun around the ray but he was suddenly hit hard by her fist becoming like a sledgehammer "ARH!" he laid on the ground as he thought about the trouble he was in. Danny wasn't getting anywhere. At the start, he seemed to have the upper hand but she had been getting stronger as the fight kept going. One thing he did notice was that every now and then, Desiree would stop fighting and fly off in a random direction to grant someone's wish. Once she was done, she returned and continued to fight and he began to see a trend.

She would fight him, stop and grant a wish, and come back stronger than before

"The more wishes she grants, the more powerful she becomes." his eyes shot open wide as he saw a very large sledgehammer coming down on him to end him. He lifted his legs and rolled backward to avoid the hit

Desiree had a mad smile on her face as she brought her hammer down. Seeing the boy dodge, she twisted her lower body, sent her tail forward, and used the tip to wrst around his waist. She pulled her tail back hard and swung the boy in the air

"AAAAAAAHHH!"

Desiree spun him around for a bit before she swung him into a tree

Danny let out a silent scream as his back impacted the tree and a loud crack was heard. At first, he thought something inside him broke but the falling tree told him otherwise.

The tree fell on the opposite side of Danny so he was spare that

Danny felt Desiree let his wrist go and he groaned at the agony as he laid face-first on the ground. 'She keeps going off to grant some random person's wish and coming back stronger. Why are there so many people making wishes?!' he slowly pushed himself off the ground till he was on his hands and knees. His head was spinning, his sight was blurred and he was pretty sure that if he was in his human form, he would have become a full ghost. 'Why does she have to go grant all those damn wishes….?' his mind was a haze as he fell back to the ground. "*groan* I wish….she would stop…..granting random wishes…"

Desiree paused her advance and automatically began granting the wish. "So you have wished it….so shall it …..be…...?" she felt her power granting the wish but what happened next made her voice pause in her throat. She brought her hands down from the granting pose and looked at her wrists. The bands she usually wore on her wrists began to glow brightly for a minute before a slit appeared on both of them and they split open from the slit. She watched as if in slow motion, the bands she had on for almost all of her afterlife, were now off.

Danny slowly lifted his head as he wondered why she stopped. He noticed the look of sheer disbelief on her face. He was about to use this opportunity to fire at her but he paused when he saw her look at him with the same wide eyes before she disappeared in a purple mist. "What…..just happened?" He shifted his head to see if he could see her anywhere but he couldn't even sense her anymore. "Great, I lost her again." he laid there for a few minutes before he tried to push himself off the ground. He knows he should be glad that she wasn't here anymore but he knew that the next time they met, she would wipe the floor with him and not even break a sweat. He got to his feet and felt his body screaming at him to get some rest. He agreed with this thought as he hadn't had a good night's sleep since Desiree appeared. The lack of sleep and the constant fights and heroism he had to do all this time were causing his body to lose its strength. He chose to save his energy and walk home but he knew he had to stay in his ghost form, otherwise, he might collapse again.

Danny, unfortunately, didn't get far as he was blasted in the back and impacted another tree.

He fell on his back before he rolled away from something green impacting him. Adrenaline forced him to ignore his body's complaints and got into a crouching position to face what almost hit him. His eyes widened when he saw a hulking ghost with its fist buried in the ground where he once was. But the biggest shock was the clothing it was wearing. Torn up yellow shirt and blue jeans, glasses, and a red beret. "Tucker?!"

Tucker pulled out his fist and turned towards Danny as he growled and glared with pure blood red eyes

Danny got to his feet and stared in shock. "Tucker, what are you doing? What happened to you?!"

Tucker pointed a clawed finger at Danny. "You're trying to get rid of my powers. Well, I'm not gonna let you. So if I destroy you, I don't have anything to worry about you taking it away!" he pulled both his arms back before firing two ecto rays at Danny

Danny flew out of the way of the blast and floated in the air, looking down at Tucker. "Tuck, listen…!" he flew out of the way of another blast as Tucker kept firing at him. "Tucker, you've gotta stop!"

Tucker scowled as he kept missing. "I dare you to make me!" He stopped firing and flew after Danny. Thanks to his speed, he got in front of Danny and grabbed him by the shirt with his left hand, and pulled his right fist back.

Danny shut his eyes as he felt the punch on his face and was sent flying with his suit being torn. He crashed on the ground as he grimaced from the hit. 'What the hell?'

"Whatever action he has been doing, was not a product of the ghost powers given to him."

"He is letting out his own desire~"

Danny looked up at Tucker who was flying towards him. 'So…..this is how you really are then. You really want to destroy me…..' he clenched his fist and waited for the strike

Tucker smirked as he pulled his hand back and charged his ecto energy so he could blast Danny point blank

*BANG*

Tucker didn't get the chance as a fist Impacted hard at the side of his face and sent him flying. He didn't have the chance to correct himself in the air as he was hit again hard down into the ground, creating a crater. Tucker's head was buried in the earth at the center of the crater before he pulled it out and looked up to see who did that.

Standing over Tucker was Danny, with his fist smoking green and his eyes flaring his energy.

Something Tucker noticed was different was that Danny had a pattern on the side of his face and colored white. They almost looked like scales and there was a small line of them under his eyes as well.

Tucker growled and sent an ectoblast, hitting Danny.

Danny flew back from being hit till he dug his feet into the dirt and stopped himself. Once stopped he saw Tucker flying at him with ecto energy charged in his right hand. Danny charged his own energy in his right hand and charged at Tucker.

The two met halfway and threw their blasts at each other. The blasts impacted each other causing an explosion that launched both back

Danny felt the burn on his torso from the explosion but ignored it as he dug his hand in the ground to stop himself. He then flew back at Tucker with a fist pulled back.

Tucker did the same but he was less damaged than Danny. He pulled back his claw to slash at Danny.

When the two were close enough Tucker sent his right claw forward but Danny clasped his left hand with it and Danny sent a punch only for Tucker to catch it. The two glared at each other as they pushed back as hard as they could.

After a minute, Tucker took a deep breath and sent out some ecto steam that forced Danny to let go and step back. Tucker grinned as he cupped both his hands at his side and charge up a large ectoblast and blasted Danny point blank

"AAARRRGGGHHH!"

Tucker kept the Ecto ray going as Danny impacted the fountain of the park.

Danny gritted his teeth from the blast before he slowly got to his feet. He brought his arms up to guard against the blast before he thrusted his arms forward and sent out his own ecto ray to push back against Tucker's. 'I…. can't keep this up. I gotta get that ghost energy out of Tucker!' Unfortunately for him, his energy levels were now low and he was almost running on fumes. Because of this, his legs were giving out and he fell to his knees as his ray began to fail and Tucker's was getting closer. Soon the blast was only a few feet away and the recoil was causing his hazmat suit to begin tearing.

Tucker walked closer while keeping his attack going. Soon he was standing over Danny who was using the last of his energy to keep the blast just inches from him. "Time to say 'goodbye' Danny Phantom."

Dany dropped one hand to hold himself up but he saw that his Ecto ray was flickering out. 'Damn…..' his ray finally dropped and he was hit point-blank by the full force of Tucker's attack. "AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHH"

Tucker grinned as he began to put more force into the attack

*BAM*

Tucker was suddenly hit in the side which sent him flying. He corrected his flight and looked to see who hit him but the only thing he saw was an enlarged fist smashing into him.

Danny was wheezing as he was on his knees and bleeding from multiple injuries. He slowly lifted his head and looked through his left eye as he kept his right closed. His lone eye widened as he saw who it was that was beating Tucker. "D…...Desiree…?"

Desiree glared at the green-skinned hulking ghost teen as he flew over her fist and towards her. She gestured her other hand at Tucker and sent a magenta ghost ray at him which was too fast for him to dodge. As the boy was flying over her enlarged fist, she quickly shifted it into a lasso and wrapped it around his ankle. She yanked hard to get him to stop and she then swung him in the air before she threw him towards the fountain and crashing feet away from Danny. Seeing her chance she flew towards Tucker and grabbed him by the shirt. She lifted him up in the air with her left hand and pulled her right hand back. Her right hand glowed with a magenta aura before she shot it into Tucker.

Tucker grabbed her wrist to try and pull the hand out but he felt his strength leaving him.

Desiree smirked as she grabbed what she was looking for and pulled it out. She then dropped the beret-wearing boy to the ground.

Tucker felt all his power leave him and he began to turn back to normal. He looked up to see Desiree holding an ethereal version of his hulking form that growled at her

Desiree scowled at the thing and was about to blast it but it slipped out of her grasp and charged at Danny.

Danny, still on his knees, saw the thing aim for him and glared at it. He thought about the other bits of ecto beasts he had dealt with. When he ejected the ones that took over the pets, only half of them entered the ghost zone, and the ones that entered disappeared before they fully got inside. He then thought about it more thoroughly till a retaliation came to him. 'They aren't fully sentient. They are just energy that act primal before dissipating.' He waited till it was close enough before he gathered what he had and blasted the thing.

It screamed as it dissipated into nothing as the blast tore it apart.

Tucker watched in shock and horror as it disappeared. He was mad that his powers were removed and destroyed but he turned a glare at Danny before it dropped as he saw Danny on his knees and in bad shape. He slowly walked up to the raven-haired boy and asked "um, Danny are you….."

"Leave, Tucker…."

Tucker could barely hear the whisper and stepped forward "Danny I…."

"I SAID LEAVE!"

Tucker was scared by the sudden outburst and he took several steps away from Danny. He looked into Dany's angry eyes and saw an emotion he didn't recognize. But he made a guess. It was betrayal. He lowered his head and walked away.

Danny stayed there for a minute before he turned his head towards Desiree. 'Great….' he forced himself to stand on shaking knees and knew that he wouldn't win this fight but he wasn't just going to sit there and take it. He stared at her and felt his vision going dark and the urge to change back into his human form but forced himself to stay ghost. He then noticed something odd. She looked bigger than before. He saw that she was floating towards him but his arms were dangling at his sides and his legs wouldn't move.

Desiree was now floating only two feet away from Danny and she could see that he was on his last leg.

Lacerations and burns all over his body. His suit was almost completely destroyed as the top half was gone and the legs and boots were ripped off. He was bleeding ectoplasm profusely and he was wheezing whatever air he could get.

Danny tried to lift his arm and leg to move but that action did it for him. He fell forward as he had nothing left. But instead of hitting the ground like he thought he would, he felt himself land on something soft. His vision was too blurry to see what he landed on but as he breathed in, he could swear that it smelt like an exotic perfume.

"It appears that you have nothing left, child. I suppose that with how hard you have fought, it is the only outcome that is to happen."

Danny could barely hear what was said but he knew who it was. He thought about what he caught sight of with the fight she had with Tucker. "I thought…...you couldn't…..get rid of his...powers." he felt his body shift against his will and suddenly felt comfortable despite his pain. It was enough to hasten his path to unconsciousness but he was able to tell that he was leaning back and his head was leaned back.

Desiree looked down at the boy with a smile on her face. Thanks to her size increase that came with the increase of her power, she was now cradling the boy in her arms. "I never said I couldn't but you never wished for it. And thanks to you…..I am now allowed more freedom of my own curse." she saw that he was now entering the realm of unconsciousness. She also knew that he would turn back into his human form soon, as she used her powers to read someone to see his unique being. She also figured that to enter the weaker form of a human with the number of injuries he has would end him completely. "For one so young to push yourself to this degree is admirable." she cupped his face as she rubbed her thumb on his cheek. "And for what you have done for me, I feel that it is only right for me to repay you with what I can."

She knew that when he made the wish that released her of her curse, he was not doing it intentionally and in fact, made the wish more as a silent complaint. However, she could see the kind of person that he was with her ability to see the desires of a person and it told her that he was honorable, he cared for others, and out of all the men that she has dealt with, he was the most selfless. His very state of being portrayed as such. As such, she knew that if he had known that she was but a prisoner of her own power, he would have tried to help her. Something not many would be willing to do, especially since she had no choice but to grant wishes.

Her curse was that whenever she would hear a wish, she would grant it, even against her will. And despite the increase of power she got from every wish she granted, it does not remove the fact that she was slave to anyone who wished it.

But now she was free.

"So allow me to repay you, my young knight." She shifted her body so it was held up by her tail and moved her left hand to his back while her right hand, which was cupping his face, moved to be behind his head. She Lifted his head as she took a calming breath, closed her eyes, and lowered her head to press her lips to his. "Mm~" she enjoyed the feel of his lips on hers for a moment before she began to do what she originally intended. She channeled her ecto energy into the kiss which flowed into him. She then ran her hand on his back with her hand also enveloped in her energy.

As her fingers ran over the injuries on his back, her energy helped in healing them up and even removing the scars that had already been there.

Danny's grimacing face began to relax as the little drop of energy that he had was increasing with the introduction of Desiree's energy.

Desiree continued to kiss Danny as she poured more of her energy into him and heal him. She held him tighter as her hand had finished on his back and moved to be on his chest. She ran her hand slowly over it, healing the burns there. She could not deny that she had quickly gained an attraction to him but it wasn't his physical appearance that had done it, it was his very nature that was even ingrained into his core. She inhaled deeply as she deepened the kiss as she was finished healing him and was just enjoying this moment, despite him no longer being conscious. Despite no longer healing him, she did continue to inject her energy into him and felt a tingly feeling as she felt her energy being converted into his own. She had her fill with this as she pulled back and saw that he was now fully healed and was resting peacefully. She also noticed that the reptilian features he had were reverting back.

However, the scales on his back remained and now took up most of it.

Now that Danny was unconscious and ghost energy was no longer being poured into him, he transformed back to his human form with the scales also changing from white to black

Desiree could not help but smile at the peaceful look he now had. She ran her fingers in his bang before she poofed with him still in her arms.

~Danny's room~

Desiree appeared in the middle of the boy's room and floated over to his bed before she laid him on it. She smiled once more before she floated back to the center of the room. She could not drop the smile on her face as everything that happened was something she herself wished for.

She was free.

And with that freedom came liberation.

She hated all those who had made a wish, forcing her to drop whatever she was doing in order to grant it. It was because of this hatred that she was sealed in the bottle as she had tried to retaliate against one who wished for fame, riches, and women. In anger that this man-made so many selfish wishes, she wanted to strike him down but in fear, he made a wish for her to be sealed in a bottle for centuries.

Desiree sighed in happiness before she looked at the boy. "Till next our paths meet, Daniel." and with that, she disappeared in a puff of magenta smoke.

~meanwhile~

While the events in Danny's room happened, Maddie and Jack Fenton were in the lab looking over some samples that they had gathered from the pet store even.

Maddie was looking through a microscope as she had the last of the samples they gathered. She wrote down notes about how the ectoplasmic energy that came from the sample was far more volatile than any other sample of ectoplasm they had gained from the ghost portal. "Sample seems as if it is increasing in power as time goes on. Early viewing and scans did not show any significant change when first receiving samples but after comparing recent scans to earlier ones shows that potency does increase. It can be seen as if the sample is becoming more...pure...due to particles increasing in size and vibrancy of glow. Attempts to create a chemical agent to cause destabilization showed promise early on but as time continues, the effectiveness of the agent drops. The previous chemical agent now only has a 12% chance of causing slight destabilization before the sample corrects itself and increases in strength…..or explode. Conducting these tests behind reinforced containment was very beneficial as the first explosion caused intense damage to the containment unit." She finished taking notes as she grabbed the glass slide and moved towards a large transparent containment chamber in the corner of the lab. She punched in a code at the side of a door before walking in and putting the slide on a pedestal in the center of it. She then walked out and closed the door before moving next to Jack who was already standing behind a steel blast wall with a viewing window. "Are you ready to test out the latest agent?"

Jack grinned as he held up a remote with a big red button "Ready when you are, Mads!" he lowered his goggles and looked through the window

Maddie already had her goggles down so she just looked through the window. "Push it, Jack."

Jack did so and they watched as a tub lowered in the center of the containment, right above the pedestal. It was then that a drop of aqua green liquid fell from the said tube and onto the sample they had. For seconds, nothing happened but soon the glass slide that had the sample began to jump around till…

*BOOM*

Jack and Maddie ducked from the window as the containment unity shattered and shrapnel flew all over the room. Once it quieted down. The two walked out from behind the wall and looked at what remained of the containment unit.

Which wasn't much with the lower half of the frame being all that's left, and bent outward.

Madie sighed in frustration. "That was the last of the samples and we still don't know what is causing these."

"Come on, Maddie. If anything we could use this against the ghosts."

Maddie shook her head. "Jack, we don't know what variables caused the explosion and if just a small sample of the ghost could cause this kind of damage, we do not want to use it on the whole. It could cause massive amounts of property damage."

Jack slumped at this before his smile returned. "Well, we could just keep it for later use. You never know if we will ever need it."

Maddie sighed in exasperation. "Alright. We will keep sample ES-4304 in the vault for later production and potential use."

~present~

Tucker sighed in defeat as he wrote the final bit of his digital journal. "In the end… I ruined the friendship I had with Danny and he hasn't even talked to me at all since then. I didn't even know I was so resentful of him but he told me….well shouted at me that apparently the ghosts are far more truthful about who they really are and I was truthful when I said that I didn't need him anymore…." he stopped and looked up as he heard the ringing of the bell. He saw Danny on the other side of the courtyard and not even sparing him a glance. "I just hope that I can earn his forgiveness someday. He is the best friend anyone can have. End journal."

~Amity park~

A businessman walked up to the fountain and pulled out a quarter. "I wish my boss would fall off a boat so he can swim back with all his effort for all the flack he gives me." he flipped the coin and watched it drop into the water. He stood there for a second before he clicked his tongue and began walking away. "So much for wishes being granted. Should slug that guy for saying it granted wishes. But then again, having a million bucks of mob money deposited in his account isn't something I would want. He should be glad that he was left alone, especially since he had to give it back."

As he left, a homeless man walked up to the fountain with a dime in his palm. "I wish I had a nice hot meal and a roof over my head." he dropped the dime in the fountain and walked away.

As he took a few steps, a rock appeared out of nowhere, causing him to trip.

The man hit the ground hard and groaned in pain.

"Are you ok?"

The man looked up to see a woman in casual clothing kneeling down and looking him over to see if he was ok. "Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry." he got up and was about to walk away but

"wait…..Carlos?"

The man paused as he looked at her in confusion. "Uh yeah…..do I know you?"

The woman looked slightly offended as she put her hand on her chest. "Carlos, it's me: Stephany. We were best friends through middle school and high school! Don't tell me you forgot about me."

Carlos rubbed the back of his head as he looked away. "oh, right. Sorry about that. It has been a long time since we met."

Stephany smiled at him remembering her. It was then she looked him over and saw that despite wearing normal clothing, they were torn up and dirty. And she then noticed that he smelled bad. She didn't want to assume anything but she had to make sure. "So, what have you been up to lately?"

Carlos looked anywhere but at her eyes and shoved his hands in his pockets. "Well… I um….."

Stephany now knew for sure. She thought about this for a minute and came to an idea. "Hey, wanna catch up back at my place?"

Carlos looked up in shock as he didn't understand why she asked this. "What? Why would…?"

Stephany grabbed his hand and began to pull him away. "Come on, we can catch up at my studio apartment." she began to drag him with her "oh and if you can….someone left my business not that long ago and there is now an availability. If you want, you can apply for the position."

Carlos was shocked to hear this offer as it was just what he needed. He began to walk alongside her and said. "Thank you, Stephany."

"It's what friends are for."

Back at the fountain a magenta mist came out of the fountain and watched the two walk away with a smile. She thought back to what she had done since her freedom was gained. She had gone around and fixed many of her wishes for those who do not deserve the backlash of them. Like the man that asked for the money. Greedy, yes but not deserving of a mob gang after him. She flew back into the fountain and waited for another who deserved a wish granted.

Updated the cover art. Not much of a change but there is a new addition to it :)

That last bit at the very end with Carlos and Stephany, was a last-minute addition as I want the chapter to end with Desiree.

Many other fics have said things about Danny having scars and such but I wanted to actually show him getting them. Sure they became redundant at the end but I think I got the point across

When I rewatched this episode, one thing bugged me. The end made it seem like Tucker was under the evil influence of the wish. But the dialogue of the voice-over made it seem like Tucker would have preferred if Danny didn't undo the wish. Also throughout the series, Tucker has been shown to be VERY self-centered. Even to the point, he sees himself better than the other two.

For Desiree, I felt like giving her backstory a bit more to it instead of the simple story one in the show. Also, I gave the story of how she ended up in the bottle so it wasn't like she was just there. I also gave her a new power not shown in the show. It would be something that would be helpful in granting someones a wish after all
