Lincoln couldn't even remember what time he got home from celebrating his last day in Royal woods with his friends, all he does remember is that he got home and it was already dark out. But at least he made it in time for curfew that way his sisters wouldn't get all up in arms about him being allowed to stay out late and all that, even though they are grounded.

Once Lincoln had finished stuffing his face with pizza and soda he made his way up the stairs and quickly fell asleep as he knew that tomorrow he had a big day as tomorrow morning he would officially begin his journey Kalos to become a Pokemon trainer.

Once Lincoln felt his pillow hit his head he immediately fell asleep and dreamed the same dream he had the night before. This time you got to clear image of one of the creatures as it was more reptile or amphibian like, but he still couldn't get a clear detail as it was still too foggy to get clear detail on the creature who seemed to be his most trusted partner.

Either way, Lincoln just smiled as he drifted off into Dreamland, with the knowledge that he would be becoming a Pokemon trainer like his grandfather very soon. And that knowledge made him the happiest boy in the world despite everything that had just happened to him over the last several days.

(The Next Morning)

Inside his bedroom Lincoln was sound asleep until his alarm woke him up. Letting out a massive yawn, Lincoln turned off his alarm and immediately began changing into his outfit as he knew that today was the day!

So he quickly changed out of his orange pajamas and into his regular outfit of an orange Polo shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, and his backpack full of stuff that he would be taking with him to Kalos.

Once he did a quick inventory on his stuff did Lincoln begin to comb his hair into its usual turkey tail shape.

"And...done! Dang, I look good."said Lincoln, admiring himself in the mirror before he exited his bedroom with his backpack in hand.

Once he entered the hallway was unexpectedly quiet which he figured was expected considering the circumstances. None of his sisters were outside to greet him as they were most likely still angry with him over having lost their stuff, along with the fact that they were grounded for several months for their destruction of the house.

He figured they still blame him for everything despite the fact they were clearly in the wrong, but I was no longer his concern as he was to focused on getting some breakfast before he headed to the airport to begin his journey to Kalos!

"All right, time to eat before I head to the airport as it's going to be a long flight and I don't like airplane food one bit."said Lincoln to himself as he made his way down the stairs, all the while feeling glares from his sisters bedrooms.

But he could honestly care less in that moment as he was too focused getting down the stairs where he saw his parents and his grandfather waiting for him in the dining room with breakfast.

"Sorry then none of your sisters want to celebrate but I think you kind of saw this coming."said Rita, who knows better than anyone let her daughters are still blaming Lincoln as she heard them cursing his name last night when she went to check on them.

"Yeah, I already gave him their breakfast so you just concentrate on eating your breakfast as we have to leave for the airport soon."said Lynn Sr, before he handed Lincoln some of his famous breakfast burritos.

"Breakfast burritos, my favorite."said Lincoln, before he took a bite out of one of the burritos and felt like his mom was going to heaven as he was honestly going to miss his father's cooking for a while but it was a small price to pay.

"So you'll be heading to Lumiose City, the biggest city in all of Kalos. At the Lumiose City airport, Augustine will pick you up and take you to his lab so you can choose your starter Pokemon."said Albert, who was also eating some breakfast burritos.

"Starter Pokemon?"questions Lincoln, curiosity peaked.

"Well a starter Pokemon is a pokémon or pokémon professor gives you in order to begin your journey as it's quite dangerous to go out on your own without a Pokemon to help you capture other Pokemon. So it's better to have a starter Pokemon with you. I think he told me the last time I called them something about him getting Pokemon starters from other regions but I'm not sure."said Albert, as he wasn't really paying attention that day as he was too busy getting ready for his date with Myrtle.

"Man, I wonder what kind of starter Pokemon I will get?"questions Lincoln, as he wonders what kind of starter Pokemon will be his first Pokemon.

"The pokémon has to choose you as well or else they will never listen to your commands. So it's important you choose a Pokemon that you have a personality compatibility with, not just being focused on how cool it looks and all that. Alot of trainers have made that mistake in the compatibility issues have resulted in a lot of Pokemon being returned."said Albert, who knew this from his experience from being a Pokemon trainer.

"Okay, I'll try my best to pick a starter Pokemon who has a compatible personality with mine."said Lincoln, trusting his grandfather, and knowing that he should take his advice to heart.

After all, he was the veteran Pokemon trainer and he was just starting out. So Lincoln knew better than anyone that he had to listen to his grandfather if he hoped to ever make it far as a Pokemon trainer.

"Just focus on eating your burritos and I'll get the van ready so we can get you to the airport as soon as possible."said Lynn Sr, before he made his way outside so he can check if Vanzilla was an operating condition.

After all, it wasn't like you could ask Lana for help considering she was not on speaking terms with Lincoln.

"Man, I'm really going to miss dad's cooking but this is a small price to pay for the adventure of a lifetime."said Lincoln out loud as he finished his final burrito before he drank some juice to wash it all down, that way he didn't choke on his food.

"Well... I guess this is the last time you'll be in the Loud House for a year..."said Rita, who was still not sure if she had made the right choice even though this is something she knew Lincoln wanted to do more than anything.

After all it is not easy to see your eleven year old son go off to another country to begin a journey of a lifetime training monsters that could breathe fire and shoot electricity. She already knew about Pokemon thanks to her father but it was still a lot for her to take in as she never became a Pokemon trainer like him, she was too busy living her life in Royal Woods.

And then there was the fact that like her, Lincoln had never truly left Royal Woods all his life. Sure they have chicken trips to other places but they've never really stayed there long-term like Lincoln plans to win Kalos. Will he really be mentally prepared for the challenges it takes to become a successful Pokemon trainer? She was sure that her boy could handle it but it was still a lot for her to take in.

"Rita, he'll be fine as he's a smart kid and he's arguably the second smartest of your children. Lincoln will do fine out there and I'm sure he'll have a lot of fun while taking part in the Gym Challenge."said Albert, causing Lincoln to give him a look of curiosity.

"Gym Challenge?"questions Lincoln as this is the first time he has heard that.

"...Oh yeah, neither me nor Augustine told you about it yesterday."said Albert as he gently hit himself in the head."Get ready for a long explanation so you better be all yours."

This made the white haired child knotted his head as he turned his chair towards the direction of his grandfather in order to pay closer attention to his grandfather's explanation.

"The Gym Challenge is an annual competition where trainers from all over the region must be the strongest Pokemon trainer of a facility known as a Pokemon Gym. That man or woman is known as the gym leader. By defeating the gym leader in a Pokemon battle, you earn something called a gym badge, which is basically a metal that recognizes that you defeated that gym leader. Earn exactly eight Gym badges and you can take part in the Lumiose Conference, a competition where trainers that have earned all eight gym badge for a chance to be recognized as the number one rookie trainer. Not only do you get a huge trophy and a cash prize, but you also get a chance to take on the elite four."

"Elite four?"questions Lincoln.

"The four toughest Pokemon trainers in that region. By defeating them you have a chance to take on the Pokemon League Champion, the strongest Pokemon trainer of that specific region. Defeat her, and you officially become the new Pokemon League champion."added Albert to his explanation.

"Wow, that champion must be really strong if she is recognized as the strongest in Kalos."said Lincoln as he wanted to meet her one day.

"I can't remember her name but all I know is that she is very strong and very few people will have ever managed to defeat her full team, and even fewer managed to stand toe to toe with her Ace."said Albert has he tried remembering the name of the champion, but it was lost to him at that moment.

"Okay, I got Vanzilla running, but we better get going as we know better than anyone that the van doesn't run very long on a good day."said Lynn Sr, causing the people in the kitchen to quickly head out the door as fast as they could.

"Wait, we forgot someone."said Lincoln as he noticed Lily coming down the stairs.

"Me go too."said Lily as her brother picked her up and handed her over to their mother.

"Ahh, you want to see your big brother off."said Rita, before petting Lily, who just giggled.

Lincoln just rolled his eyes with a smile as all of them headed out the door. And as soon as they got into the van, Lynn Sr get everything he needed to do to drive the van out of the driveway and begin to move out of Franklin Street.

As Lincoln was looking out the window he knows that his sisters came out of their rooms to look at him one last time before he would disappear on them for at least a year... or permanently if things didn't improve between them and him.

But Lincoln wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of knowing that as he was too busy going to enjoy himself in Kalos to care what his sister's thought of him at that moment. They didn't respect his privacy or his stuff so why should he respect them?

"So... he really left."said Lori, as everyone else was watching from the window.

"I still say he's just going with Clyde for a few days."said Lola, who didn't believe in Lincoln's nonsense about going to another country.

"But what if he's telling the truth guys?"questions Leni, who was not sure if any of this was a good idea.

"He needs to learn his place in this house so this is what is best for everyone."pointed out Lana.

"Agreed. Although if he does leave forever then I still called dibs to his room."said Luan, before the sisters once again began arguing among one another about who would get Lincoln's room should he leave permanently.

"Lincoln..."said Lucy, as she watched the van disappear from Franklin Street.

"Goodbye, little dude."said Luna, before she went back to arguing with the others about who would get Lincoln's room.

As for the boy in question, he was excited as he knew sooner or later he would be on a plane taking him to Kalos. He knew and kept thinking about all the different adventures he was going to have in Kalos, especially with the knowledge about the gym challenge. But he also remembered that he needed to pick a starter Pokemon who had a compatibility issue with him in terms of personality, not just type or skills. Lincoln knew that whatever started Pokemon he choose, he needed to train with that Pokemon in mine and body if he hoped to ever have a chance of winning the Lumiose Conference.

(A few hours later)

(Great Lake City Airport)

Vanzilla drove into Great lake City. The driver, Lynn Loud Sr began driving as fast and as legally he could drive to the Great Lake City airport, where he would send off his son to the adventure of a lifetime so that he could capture and train Pokemon for this gym challenge thing Albert was telling him about.

For the last several hours Lincoln, Rita, Lily, and Lynn Sr had been listening to Albert's various stories about his many exploits through the Pokemon world when he was a lot younger. He told him the time he wrestled an Ursaring to the ground.

He also told them time he saw a Moltres!

And the time he and Flygon flew through a desert for several days with nothing but a handful of supplies.

Lincoln was amazed by his grandfather stories and couldn't get enough of them. He couldn't wait to tell his own stories to his kids and possible grandkids in the future. But in order for that to have been Lincoln new that he first had to go on his journey to Kalos first!

"So there I was. A swarm of Beedrill in front of me in a rock hard wall behind me. I was so sure that I was going to get stung that day, but Vibrava at that very moment evolved in the flygon and learned flamethrower, allowing us to repel the swarm and get back to civilization safely without getting stung even once."said Albert, who had just finished his latest story about his adventurers as a Pokemon trainer.

"Wow!"said Lincoln as he and Lily listened closely until the very end.

"That was an amazing story, Dad."said Rita, even though she already knew this story as her father had told her about it a long time ago.

"I still can't believe such amazing creatures exist in this world and I had no idea about it all this time."said Lynn Sr as he was driving the van into the Great Lake City airport parking lot.

"Well the Pokemon League likes to keep hush hush about all of this as a way to keep Pokemon safe. I personally believe it's other nonsense but that's just my opinion and the Pokemon League don't listen to the opinions of one trainer."said Albert as you noticed his son-in-law was driving into a parking spot.

"Look out!"said Albert, causing Lynn Sr to quickly hit the brakes as a guy with a motorcycle flew past the front of the van.

"Jerk!"said the motorcycle driver before he gave Lynn Sr the bird.

"Ahh! How rude!"said Lynn Sr as his wife was covering Lily's eyes as she did not want Lily copying that behavior.

"Some people will never learn even when they are on a vehicle that could easily get them killed so they crash."said Albert as she shook his head and disappointment.

"Man, that guy was so rude. But I'm not going to let him get me down so let's get ready to get into the terminal everyone."said Lincoln, before everyone exited the van and began making their way into the airport.

"So I'm assuming you have everything you need."said Albert to Lincoln.

"Of course, Pop-Pop. I made sure to double check before I left this morning so I pretty sure I have everything I need for my journey to Kalos."said Lincoln before his grandfather handed him a card.

"What's this?"questions Lincoln.

"This is filled with pokedollars, the currency they use over there in Kalos. I figured you were going to need money every now and again for pokémon food and other essential items throughout your journeys and there's a lot of pokédollars here so make sure to put it to some good use."said Albert as he handed his grandson the card filled with pokedollars.

"Thanks, Pop-Pop."said Lincoln as he put the card in his pocket.

"Now remember the brush your teeth everyday."said Rita, who took a knee to be at her son's eye level.

"And don't forget to call at least once a week."said Lynn Sr, who also took any.

"And do your best to stay out of trouble."

"And don't argue with authority."

"And don't do any stupid stunts."

"And be sure to treat adults with respect."

"Guys!"said Lincoln before he continued."I'm going to be fine as I know all this already and I need to spread my wings, so to speak. I know you guys are worried about me as I'm the first one of your children to leave the nest but I'm going to be okay guys I'm the 'man with the plan', and I know what I need to do, thanks to Pop-Pop giving me all that advice along the way."said Lincoln, causing his parents to tear up as they gave him a big hug.

"We're going to miss you so much!"said Lynn Sr.

"Don't worry, will keep all of your stuff in one piece."said Rita.

"I know you will. I love you too very much and I hope to see you again very soon."said Lincoln as he returned the hug.

"Lily love Lincoln too."said Loly, as she gave her brother a hug as well.

"Ahhhh!"said everyone in the group as Lincoln hug Lily back.

"Be a good girl Lily and keep our sisters in line."said Lincoln before he handed his baby sister back to their mother.

"Be good."said Lily as Lincoln walked over to his grandfather.

"I'm going to make you proud, Pop-Pop."said Lincoln as the two fist bumped.

"You I've already made me so proud to begin with and I know you go places far in the Pokemon world."said

Albert, before the two of them hugged.

"I'm going to miss all of you, even my sister is despite the fact there's bad blood between us."said Lincoln, as even though they were angry at him they were still his family.

He may have to cut them off in the future but he still hasn't decided anything.

"Just be safe out there and come back in one piece."said Albert, before Lincoln let go before he waved his family off as they couldn't go deeper into the airport as they didn't have a plane ticket like he did.

About ten to twenty minutes later, Lincoln was on a private plane that was pokeball themed. He had first class accommodations as he decided to read a pamphlet about basic Pokemon knowledge as the plane began to take off to the skies, towars Kalos!

Lynn Sr, Rita, Lily, and Albert on the other hand watch the plane take off from the parking lot and waved at the plane, as if they knew that Lincoln was on that plane before they got into the van and began to take the long drive home.

Lincoln on the other hand decided to get some shut eye, as getting to an island off the coast of France was going to take a while, so it was best to get some sleep as it was going to be a long trip.
