When he awoke he noticed that Spottedleaf had left and was probably gathering herbs. He got up and walked over to the apprentice den. Before he called out to Stormpaw he looked up as the sun was almost fully above the horizon. "Stormpaw" He called "yeah" he heard him say "get ready we are going to take a tour around the border." he told the young apprentice. As they strolled out of the camp towards the sandy hollow when he got there he saw Longtail training with Swiftpaw "this is where your battle training will take place" he said after he said this he trotted off towards sunningrocks.
As They approached he remembered everything with Tigerclaw. He then gave Stormpaw a rundown on some of the recent beatles. Soon they reached the owl tree. As they reached the fortress he talked about the gathering and the monthly truce. He then told stormpaw they were going to the thunderpath and great sycamore and go home. When they were getting close to the thunder path he got a whiff of Shadowclan scent. "Wait" he whispered "Shadowclan scent fresh lets follow it"
he and Stormpaw slowly followed the scent, something about it was extremely familiar he just could not Place it. As the scent got stronger and stronger it led to a clearing where he saw Tigerclaw attacking Spottedleaf. He felt filled with anger and rage he charged towards him.
He jumped claws aiming for his throat. Tigerclaw sensed him and dodged out of the way and slashed at his exposed belly as he flew by. Pain flooded threw him but he did not care he rolled to face him. "Have you lost all of your honor tigerclaw attacking a medicine cat?" he looked with his eye's full of hatred. "Just come to see my clan" As he said that fireheart leaped again and lodged his claws into Tigerclaw's spine. And started to tear and rip at his flesh and bit him between his shoulder and neck. Then Tigerclaw threw him to the ground, knocking his breath out of him and started mauling his stomach. As he started to see his vision darling he heard other warriors attacking Tigerclaw. The last thing he heard was Spottedleaf running up to him and saying Fireheart stayed with me then everything went black.
As he felt like he had begun to regain his consciousness he opened his eyes and all he saw were cats with stars in the pelt then he noticed he was in starclan. Lionheart walked up to him He asked Lionheart "am i dead" Lionheart looked at him and said "no you are here because you are losing a life" "what" Fireheart said in disbelief "you were given nine lives when you were willing to give up your life for spottedleaf." Lionheart said calmly "how long will i be here" he asked. Lionheart said "soon" as he said that everything went dark.
He woke up in the medicine cat den where he saw spottedleaf crying he managed to say "are you okay" she had a stunned look on her face she whispered "you died" he managed to tell her that he had nine lives. Spottedleaf said something he never thought he would hear. "i do not think i could live without you i love you" Fireheart was so happy He said "i love you to" he asked her if she could help her walk around the camp.
Graystripe walked through the camp entrance when he saw Fireheart and ran up to him and said "how are you already healed? Nobody could have recovered from their injury that quickly" Spottedleaf just quickly said it was just a couple of cuts in an area that bled a lot. Bluestar padded up and told him she was thankful he was okay. As the sun began to fade behind the trees he went back to Spottedleaf den
. As he entered, Spottedleaf was waiting for him. As he settled down they started telling each other about their childhood. They loved each other and that is all he cared about and slid into sleep. He thought about kits and also if the clan found out about them what would happen if they got exiled. All he knew is that he would not let anything happen to her.
