Shikamaru, a few minutes ago.
The four-members of Team Ten were running on the paved trail that would take them to the location of the unfinished section of the bridge that would one day become the Great Naturo Bridge.
"Shikamaru!" Ino yelled out in frustration while running a few feet behind him, "you're making me miss my spa appointment in Konoha! Do you know how many weeks in advance I had to make that damn appointment?!"
"Troublesome woman," Shikamaru grumbled as Asuma, running just in front of him and to the left, had a hint of a smile on his lips as he glanced down at the Shadow User. He was wondering if Shikamaru's reason for coming to the Land of Waves was valid, and if it was, no matter how impossible it seemed, then what did it mean for the village and their futures? Did they even have the right to change the future of the world since it would affect so many other people?
'Shikamaru said that his father died, that Inoichi died, that even I died,' Asuma felt a chill going up and down his spine at the thought of his own death, 'not to mentions the thousands of others who died.'
But Asuma also knew that dying for the sake of the village and his precious people was the way he wanted to go to the next life, 'how did I die?' However, there was one thing that did stand out in his mind, 'he spoke of war. Of how the Uzumaki kid and the Eight Tails were the last Jinchuriki… that the war was fought to keep them safe. But there's something else…' Asuma shifted his eyes away from the Nara boy, 'something that Shikamaru's not telling me.'
Shikamaru was well aware that Asuma still had some doubts. The information he old Asuma about Naruto was enough to gain most of the older man's trust. And the Nara heir knew that his sensei was still processing that information, as well as everything else that he was told, 'we haven't spoken for the past two hours, he's still processing. Can't blame him though.'
"Hey, baka!"
Ino's yell brought Shikamaru out of his thoughts, causing him to look back over his shoulder with a lazy expression on his face. Shikamaru looked back over his shoulders towards his teammates; his lips were pressed together upon reminding himself that they were young once again. They were all weak all of them were at this point in time and had to get stronger very quickly. He recalled the Ino who could confuse the enemy with her mental jutsu's, causing them to fight against each other; or how Choji became a confident and assured version of himself during the war.
"He has finally become worthy of being called the Akimichi heir," Choza had told Shikamaru when Choji grew chakra wings without the use of his clans special pills. He was proud of Choji, the gentle boy had finally found the will and strength to fight the Edo-Tensei version of Asuma – he had finally found his confidence. Looking away from the young Choji eating away at his packet of potato chips while running, Shikamaru forced a small sad smile on his face.
He wished the grown-up version of his team had come back with him. A part of him felt alone, as if he was running alongside the ghosts of the people he once knew. Taking a deep breath, he hoped that Naruto and Sakura would be able to provide the answers he needed.
'What happened?' Shikamaru thought to himself while remembering the Sakura and Naruto he once knew… the ones who were falling out of the sky, the ones he fought alongside, and the Naruto and Sakura who would sometimes piss him off.
'These are still them,' he chided at himself when his mind went back to the Choji and Ino he remembered before he was surrounded by darkness upon looking up at the Sharingan on the moon. He still couldn't help but feel as if the people he had known – the grown-up version of his team – were now dead and that he was running alongside ghosts. Shikamaru continued staring towards the front, his eyes glancing at his sensei. He caught Asuma's weary look for an instant before his eyes shifted towards the oncoming unfinished section of the bridge.
"Shikamaru," Choji, who had run out of potato chips, cried out, "can't you at least tell us why we're here?"
"I need you to trust me, Choji," Shikamaru said before looking back at Choji, "do you trust me?"
"Of course," came the reply, "but Shika, you have to admit this is unusual for you to… well… not ask Sensei to stop for a break."
"And this whole detour?" Ino added waving her hands at their surroundings, "Shikamaru what is going on here?"
"It's important that we be as quick as possible," was Shikamaru's only answer over his shoulder before he turned his head towards Asuma. The two nodded their heads before looking towards their front.
"You're paying for the re-scheduling, Shikamaru," Ino waved her fist at his back as she imagined being soaked in a mud-bath, "that place is reputed to making skin so soft and smooth. It's one way to get Sasuke-kun's attention!"
"Ino," Shikamaru looked over his shoulder at her with a hint of anger, something that surprised Choji and Ino, as well as Asuma who glanced at the boy. Shikamaru had his lips pressed together before looking away from Ino, his hands rolled into fists – an act that wasn't missed by Asuma while Choji and Ino looked at each other and then at Shikamaru who then said, "don't worry about it. Where we're going, Sasuke should still be there."
While Ino gave off an excited yelp at hearing that they were heading towards Sasuke and his team – really, she was only excited that they were heading towards Sasuke - Shikamaru was very aware he had nearly lost his cool. Sasuke and his betrayal of the village was something he had never quite forgiven the Uchiha for doing. He was even more suspicious when Sasuke declared that he would be fighting on the side of Konoha following the arrival of the four Edo-tensei Hokages. He even had the nerve to declare that he was going to be the Hokage.
'As if.'
All in all, Shikamaru was aware he would never trust Sasuke ever again.
Neither could he forget the mission to retrieve him and the injuries that followed. Naruto was badly injured; Kiba and Akamaru were badly injured, Neji and Choji were critically injured. The latter two were right at deaths door, and it was only because of Tsunade that they pulled through.
'And all I had was a broken finger,' Shikamaru mentally scoffed, 'all for Sasuke.'
"Shikamaru," Asuma whispered. The Nara looked up at Asuma's eyes looking back at him, "is everything alright?"
Shikamaru looked away as he recalled Choji comforting a bawling Ino when it was announced that Sasuke was labelled an International SS Class criminal. Shikamaru looked over his shoulder at the grin on Ino's face as she talked to Choji, who was rolling his eyes upwards, about Sasuke and how she would tear him out of Sakura's grasp.
'But then again, this Sasuke is from this time,' Shikamaru thought as he looked up at Asuma, who was now looking in front of him, before he too looked straight ahead, 'he hasn't done the things he did in the future. Naruto is gonna tell me to give him a chance, but there are things I can't not unknow all of a sudden… there are some things that can not be forgiven.'
Shikamaru sighed and shook his head, 'now this is troublesome. How to act around this younger Sasuke, especially when the older one grows up to cause so much trouble for everyone?'
"We're close," Asuma said as they ran towards the unfinished area of the bridge before they followed Shikamaru as he made a left, ran down a grassy slope, before making it to two people next to a boat. Shikamaru remembered that there were boats that ferried people to and from the mainland to the islands that made up the Land of Waves. As the others looked on, Shikamaru and Asuma spoke with one of the boat owners. And it wasn't long before they were ferried to the other side.
Naruto (Younger)
Naruto didn't really know how to feel as he walked on the floating wooden walkway that hugged the outside walls of Tazuna's home. The walkway was connected to many other homes that were held above the water on stilts, but that thought was pushed aside as he trudged onwards. He had his hands in his pockets and was about to step onto the wooden connecting walkway that would lead him towards the main pathway towards dry land several meters away. He sighed, his mind full of swirling thoughts, when he heard footsteps behind him, and a voice call out.
"Hey, brat."
Naruto stopped and then turned around to face the woman with the purple diamond tattoo on her forehead; the woman the younger Sakura had called Tsunade. Naruto still wasn't sure what made her so legendary or why she was a Sannin, but he made a mental note to ask Shikamaru later. For now, he just wanted to be left alone.
After all, having the girl he loved publicly telling him off with such venom wasn't something he wanted to remember. Naruto just wanted some time to himself so that he could push the sight of the anger he saw on Sakura's face away to the back of his mind.
"And where do you think you're going?" Tsunade asked.
Naruto scowled at her before looking away towards the water as the woman stopped in front of him and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Well?"
"I just wanted to go for a walk," Naruto said looking back up at Tsunade's face, he noticed her lips were pressed together, "I don't know what business it is of yours but…" he then stepped back, "hell, I don't even know who you are, and…"
Tsunade sighed before saying, "I'm Senju Tsunade."
"And that name means something?" Naruto asked quizzically; he really didn't know who she was.
"Baka," Tsunade shook her head before she walked past Naruto, "come on, we'll take a walk."
"I…"
"You have a lot of questions about… well, you? At least the older you?" Tsunade said as she looked over her shoulder before Naruto spun around to face her. It was just then that there were more footsteps as Tazuna exited the house with Sasuke and Shizune. Naruto looked back at Sasuke who had his hands stuffed onto his pockets, the sea breeze brushing his hair from one side to the next as he and his small group walked towards him and Tsunade.
Naruto was wondering where Sasuke was going, "Sasuke, what's going on?"
"This place needs doctors to help out with the injured, Naruto-kun," Shizune answered while holding onto Tonton before she nodded at Tazuna, "Tazuna-san's taking us to a nearby home that's supposedly empty so that we could set up an infirmary and begin healing people."
"And I've been roped in to protect the two of them," Sasuke said glancing at Tsunade who was talking to Shizune and Tazuna before his eyes shifted back towards Naruto, "I have to guard…" Sasuke nodded towards Shizune and Tazuna before he continued, "Sakura's going to be guarding Tazuna's family, and Kakashi wants you to use your clones to…"
"SASUKE-KUN!"
At the shrill yell that carried over the cool air, Naruto noticed that Tsunade spun around towards the voice that sounded so familiar while the others narrowed their eyes at the figures running towards them.
"Wait," Naruto said as he leaned forward and narrowed his eyes, as did Sasuke. He then heard the door to Tazuna's home slam shut. Naruto turned his head over his shoulder to see Kakashi and the younger Sakura rushing towards them, 'they us have heard that yell' Naruto thought. He then turned back towards the figure in purple clothes and blonde hair scrambling towards them at a very high rate of speed. Naruto squinted his eyes while leaning forward before mumbling, "is that…"
"Oh no," Sasuke whispered at the sight of the female wearing the familiar blonde hair and purple shinobi outfit leading three others. In fact, she far ahead of them as she ran down the wooden walkway.
"What are they doing here?" Tsunade whispered in surprise while Young Sakura caught sight of the blonde girl heading towards them and immediately rushed forward, pushing Naruto to one side as she rushed past him. The blonde was surprised at the push as he stumbled towards the edge of the walkway. Just before he fell into the cold waters, he felt a grip on the back of his jacket before he was pulled back. He looked over his shoulder at Kakashi pulling him back onto the wooden walkway before the blonde's eyes shifted towards Sakura who was looking back at him with a look of shame. Naruto's eyes then shifted towards Sasuke who was scowling at him and Sakura before looking away towards the group heading towards them.
Naruto looked away from his two teammates as Sakura held onto Sasuke's arm while grinning at the audible screech, and then gasp from the female blonde before the three other males of Team Ten stopped behind her.
"Ino-pig," Sakura smirked as the surprised Ino, who was staring at the pink haired girl holding the hand of the boy she loved, hung open her jaw in surprise "what are you…"
"Tsunade-sama?" Shikamaru asked between taking deep breaths. Naruto looked at the stunned look on Shikamaru's face before he looked back up towards the stunned expression on the Sannin's face, "what are…?"
"Tsunade-sama?" Asuma asked as he watched Tsunade's surprised expression while her eyes were on Shikamaru. Naruto was wondering why Team Ten were in the Land of Waves, especially when Team Seven and Team Ten left Konoha the same day and Shikamaru had told him then that they were headed to a completely different location. It was then that Naruto had a though going through his head when Shikamaru and Tsunade identified each other, 'Wait, how does Shikamaru know her? And how does she know him?'
The look of confusion on Asuma's face told Naruto that he was probably thinking the same question as well.
"What are you doing here, Asuma?" Kakashi asked before Asuma turned towards Kakashi. Naruto could sense that Kakashi was confused, mentally asking himself why there was another team in the Land of Waves when he didn't ask for back-up. In fact, the scroll he sent back to Konoha with Pakkun specifically mentioned that even though their mission was complete, they were going to stay a few more weeks in case there were more of Gato's goons. He mentioned in the scroll that they would return after the bridge was completed, but he made no mention of the teenaged Naruto and Sakura. There really was no explanation for why Team Ten was in the Land of Waves at all, "we didn't ask for back-up, or…"
"What the hell, Forehead!?" Ino screamed over everyone else's words as she pointed at Sakura's tightly held grip on a blushing Sasuke who was doing his best to stay looking up at the grey coloured clouds. In the meantime, Naruto folded his arms across his chest and looked down at the water.
Naruto didn't want to see Sakura holding onto Sasuke's hand, instead he just wanted to go for a walk to clear his mind while, at the same time, coming up with a good prank that would put Sasuke in his place. Instead, not only had Tsunade interrupted his plans, but Team Ten had to mysteriously show up, 'hey, at least I can ask Shikamaru about the Sannin and all that other stuff.'
Sighing, Naruto looked up just as Ino screeched, "did you hypnotize Sasuke-kun, forehead!"
"Oh God," Naruto whispered shaking his head before he turned towards Shikamaru and Choji, "what are you guys doing here?"
"Shikamaru said that…" Choji spoke before being interrupted by Tsunade who was still in surprise.
"What are you doing here, Shikamaru? Asuma? What is Team Ten doing here?"
"Tsunade-sama," Asuma stuttered, "how are you here? I mean what are you doing here? You've been gone for so long from Konoha and…"
It was then that Shikamaru interrupted them with a statement that had everyone, even Tsunade, surprised.
"Tsunade-sama, you are not supposed to be here either," Shikamaru said, interrupting Asuma. Naruto could hear the Nara's voice quivering as he took a step forward towards Tsunade. Naruto was wondering why Shikamaru would say what he said. And it was then he made a wild guess, a mental guess; after all, he didn't want to be scolded by Kakashi once again by asking Shikamaru if he was from the future out loud.
'Is… is he like the older me? Is he… I mean… how is it possible that he is from the future? He looks the same age as me.'
"Konoha, 6th June…" Naruto looked at Shikamaru as he then blurted out a year that was about 5 years in the future. It was a date that had the others confused, with Ino asking why he was referring to 5 years in the future while Kakashi and Asuma glanced at each other. Naruto shifted his eyes towards the look on Tsunade's face and he, as did the others, noticed the pained expression on her face.
Shikamaru then said, "he knows. I told him." Naruto saw Shikamaru nodding over at Asuma, and then back towards Tsunade who closed her eyes and shook her head.
"Konoha, fourth July…" Tsunade said, her eyes glancing at Asuma and then at the momentary look of pain on Shikamaru's face. All Naruto could do was wonder why those dates were so important, and why Shikamaru and Tsunade had looks of pain over those dates.
"Ino and Choji doesn't know," Shikamaru said before Naruto could say anything. Naruto looked over towards Ino and Choji who asked, at the same time, what he was talking about. Naruto then turned his head towards Sasuke and Sakura, their hands were now apart resting at their sides. Team Seven shared an expression that relayed to one another 'he's from the future?' before looking away and back towards Team Ten.
Tsunade straightened her back before turning her head towards Shizune, Sasuke, and Tazuna, "the three of you go set up the infirmary." She then turned her focus to Shizune, "I'll tell you and Tonton everything later." Shizune was confused, despite sensing the truth behind Tsunade's words that she was from the future there were still some doubt in her mind.
It was then that Naruto and the others, upon hearing two voices yelling out "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO!?" that they all turned towards Tazuna's home. It was Tsunade and Kakashi who moved first, the three of them using their shunshin to leave the others and head into the home. Then Naruto and Team Seven rushed back, followed by Shikamaru, and then the rest of Team Ten.
'What's going on now? That was my voice… my older voice… and the older Sakura-chan,' Naruto thought rushing into the house were Inari, Tsunami, as well as a stunned Kakashi and Tsunade were staring at something through the open door. 'What's going on?'
Naruto (Older); a few moments ago.
Naruto couldn't believe it. Despite pulling his lips back from the purple diamond on Sakura's forehead, he still couldn't believe that he kissed Sakura's forehead. Hell, he couldn't believe he kissed her at all without being punched out into orbit. He looked into her eyes as he lifted his head, and then his eyes shifted back to her lips – and then he made the decision that he wasn't going to push his luck by kissing her on the lips - before he went to lie back down next to her.
It was enough that he kissed her forehead. And Naruto was mentally dancing a jig while yelling out, 'I kissed Sakura-chan, I kissed Sakura-chan! WOOOHOOOOO!'
He was looking up at the ceiling with a silly smile on his face while he continued mentally yelling in celebration; his mental self yelling out that the kiss wasn't a dream.
"I still need a chakra boost from Tsunade-sama," Sakura whispered as Naruto took in a deep breath. He pushed his thoughts of the kiss aside, but not too far aside, before turning his head towards the pink haired girl. When their eyes met, he noticed the quizzical look on her face before she asked the very question that he asked himself earlier when he regained consciousness.
"What's Tsunade-sama doing in the Land of Waves?"
'Right, Baa-chan was here,' Naruto thought to himself before he pushed the mental version of a Chibi Naruto, who was still dancing while yelling about the kiss, aside and thought about Sakura's question.
"I had the same question when I woke up," Naruto whispered before he recalled something that Tsunade said earlier, "she said that darkness took her over, and then the next thing she knew, she followed us when we fell through the air and down towards the bridge." He saw Sakura's eyes open wide in surprise as he continued, "she said something about flying through the air and then entering her own body."
Sakura looked away, the look of confusion evident on her face as she said, "so, does this mean that we're not the only ones here from the future?"
Naruto thought that was a good reason since it fit with what Tsunade had said later about remembering everything in the future they just left, "she said she remembers everything, Sakura-chan."
Sakura closed her eyes and took in a deep breath before turning her head towards Naruto once again, "we need to make sure that this Tsunade-sama is the same Tsunade-sama we know."
"Then why would she be here?" Naruto asked.
Sakura turned her head towards him and then said, "we were brought back to the past, who know what's changed and what…" Naruto saw her taking a deep breath before speaking once again, "look, all I know is that we need to be careful with what happens next. We need to talk to Tsunade-sama and Kakashi-sensei alone before…"
"SASUKEEEE-KUUUUNN!"
Naruto and Sakura stopped talking and stared at each other with dumbfounded looks.
"Wait a minute," Naruto said as he narrowed his eyes, "is that…" Naruto knew that voice – how could he not – it was one of two voices that would scream Sasuke's name when they were younger, "Ino-chan?"
He saw that Sakura, her face etched in confusion, was nodding her head as well before she yelled out, "Tsunami-san? Inari? Young me? Anyone out there?"
'Why would Ino be here? And if she's here, then Team Ten is here. Why?' Naruto wondered as he watched Sakura moving her head back towards the door to their right side, "they weren't here before."
"I know," Sakura replied before calling out, "Tsunami-san?"
"The old sage said that he could send only you and me back to the past," Naruto whispered, "and now we have Baa-chan here and Ino and… probably her team too… here." Naruto swallowed before continuing as Sakura looked back at him with a hopeful expression on her face, "you think he was able to send anyone else back here? Maybe…"
"You think the Sage sent Ino back?" Sakura asked before she closed her eyes and shook her head, "I don't know… all of this is so confusing that I can't even think straight anymore." Naruto heard Sakura sigh before continuing, "if it was the Ino we knew, then she'd be here asking us what's going on." Sakura shook her head, "no, I don't know what's happening."
It was just then that the door to the room creaked open. Sakura and Naruto looked back to see Tsunami and Inari standing there with confused looks on their faces.
"Tsunami-san," Sakura began while Naruto stared at the two by pulling his head back, "do you what's going on outside?" Naruto didn't get any answer, neither did Sakura; especially since Tsunami and Inari both stumbled back with eyes wide open in fear. At hearing gasps from both of them, he and Sakura looked at each other and then towards the direction where Tsunami and Inari's sights were locked.
Naruto opened his eyes in surprise as well. There he was, floating over a circle of black spheres with a staff in his hand; Otsutsuki Hagoromo.
"Uzumaki Naruto," he said while Naruto recalled the moment that he and Sakura were spit out into open air high above the bridge, "Haruno Sakura, I am glad…"
"YOU!" he and Sakura growled out as they glared at the old Sage before Naruto lifted his hand and pointed a finger at the ancient man, "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?"
Amidst the surprised stares through the door, Hagoromo tilted his head in confusion at both Sakura and Naruto before saying calmly, "I sent you to your past. I believe that was the reason…"
"You sent us high, high, high, high above the bridge!" Sakura exclaimed as her face twisted in anger while Kakashi, followed by Tsunade, gingerly walked in… the two of them reasy to defend the people in the house against this strange being in front of them while Sakura continued berating the grey skinned man for a few seconds longer.
They stared at her and then at Naruto who said that they were in free-fall for several seconds before stopping just above the concrete. It was by this time that Shikamaru and the others were also at the door.
"We nearly died," Naruto said while glaring at Hagoromo.
"I am sorry," Hogoromo said shaking his head, "I did say sending you back to the past would be hit and miss. But I think I managed to get you to the right time frame."
"Time frame?" Choji asked while Ino stared in stunned silence at the two Naruto's and the two Sakuras, "what… huh?"
Naruto and Sakura looked back, their eyes landing on the younger versions of their friends. They then looked over at Shikamaru who was shaking his head with a smile on his face.
"I figured the two of you would have trouble convincing your friends and superiors," Hagoromo said as he floated closer to the two teens. However, he stopped when Kakashi and Tsunade blocked his way while Asuma stood, his eyes moving from the two duplicates of Naruto and Sakura, before staring back at the grey being. At the same time, Sasuke and Sakura, followed by Naruto surrounded the two teens while Shikamaru dashed in between them over the protests from his teammates.
"Usually when there is a problem, I blame you, Naruto," Shikamaru said glancing at the older Naruto staring back at him in confusion, "but since Sakura and you are here in your older bodies and I'm… well… like this, then I have to blame the two of you."
"Shikamaru?" Naruto, Sakura, the younger Team Seven, Choji, and Ino asked at once.
"Are you the Shikamaru…"
"Ahem," coughed Hagoromo to gain everyone's attention. Once he did, he explained, "as I said, I was sure that Naruto and Sakura's stories would not be believed. Which is why I sent the souls of people they trust… people your village would trust… to aid you in the quest to prevent the future." Hagoromo looked over at Tsunade, "Senju Tsunade, the Godaime Hokage." He turned his head from the confused look on Tsunade's face… as well as the looks of confusion on the faces of the Genin of Team Seven and Team Ten… to the boy with the hair in the shape of a pineapple, "Nara Shikamaru, the Strategist of the Shinobi Alliance."
"Shinobi Alliance?" Asuma whispered as Shikamaru looked back over his shoulder at the man before the latter turned towards Kakashi who was looking over at Tsunade and then back at him. The grey haired Jonin's eyes then shifted to Sakura and Naruto just as Tsunade spoke up.
"How do you know us?" Tsunade asked.
Hagoromo smiled before tapping his cane onto the floor. It was then that the two teens gasped; Naruto didn't know about Sakura, but he felt as if he was suddenly energized. He could finally move his body freely – as if he received an infusion of chakra. He slowly sat up, as did Sakura who breathed a sigh of relief. Getting up to his feet, Naruto then turned towards the older Sakura and helped her up to her feet before turning back towards Hagoromo.
"Because he's been watching the war," the older Naruto said.
"What war?" Ino asked.
"What's going on here?" Sasuke asked, his face in a scowl.
"All of you," Kakashi said as he looked over his shoulders at the Genin, "leave the room. Shikamaru stay. Asuma, I think you should stay too… you weren't surprised when you saw the older Naruto and Sakura. So I'm guessing that…"
"Shika told me," Asuma said before Choji and Ino looked towards him.
"They will need to know what's coming, Sensei," older Naruto said.
"Not until we get some answers," Tsunade said as she looked over her shoulder at Naruto and Sakura, who nodded her head in understanding. Tsunade then took in a deep breath before saying, "I take it you have your chakra reserves back?"
"Yes, ma'am," the older Sakura answered.
It was then that Hagoromo interrupted once again, his voice forcing everyone to turn their attention to him, "I will return to my dimension. I wanted to ensure that you all arrived safe"
"Other than the fall, we're safe, Hagoromo-sama," Sakura sighed before nodding her head.
"Old Man, before you leave… what about our future?" Naruto asked. He glanced at the older Sakura who met his eyes before he looked around at his younger self, and then at the younger Sakura who looked away from him in embarrassment. Naruto glanced at the teen Sakura who also noticed the embarrassed look in her younger self's face before the two of them turned back towards Hagoromo.
"Will our future still take place… I mean, what happens now? Will everything that Sakura-chan and I went through be gone, or…"
"Will we lose memories, or will they change depending on what our younger-selves do?" Sakura asked.
"Your future is gone… that was the price to pay for this jutsu, everyone you knew… everyone who died… your lives… their deaths… as if it never happened" Hagoromo said while the others listened as he continued on, "when you were in the time stream, you are cut off from what was once your future. So whatever your younger-selves do in his timeline, will not affect you as you are now. You will make your own future."
Teen Naruto and Sakura breathed a sigh of relief at that. As Hagoromo started to slowly vanish, he said, "Naruto, try not to use Kurama's full power. Zetsu would be able to sense it, and he could very well make his move earlier… before your people are prepared."
Naruto nodded his head.
"I will take time to recover," Hagoromo said before turning his head towards Tsunade and Shikamaru, "be careful; and I very much hope your futures change for the better. The war must be prevented… to save the world, the war must never happen." And then Hagoromo vanished.
"Okay, seriously," Shikamaru turned towards Naruto, and then to Sakura, "what happened after everything turned black?"
"That's what I'd like to know as well," Tsunade turned around towards Sakura and Naruto, as did everyone else, "I want to know everything."
