They weren't sure when shit went wrong, but boy did it feel like they were going to be ass deep in demons…, again. Varric wiped the sweat from his forehead as he reloaded Bianca. "You know elfroot, you either have the worst luck in the world or the damn world is falling apart!" Varric shouted in their direction.

"What happened to dove?!" Eva yelled as she ducked behind Cassandra, avoiding a blow from a rage demon. She could hear the woman grunt as the demon smashed along her shield. Eva readied her bow and pierced the demon in the head, after Cassandra landed a devastating blow. Both girls sighed in relief once the rift was shut.

"Elfroot in better for you, don't ask. I have my reasons; kid." Varric too was winded and slung over from exhaustion. Eva watched him swing his crossbow onto his back. Why is it a lady's name? She thought to herself. "I'll ask him later." Eva muttered. Her green hues fell to Solas. He had finished remaining demons that lingered after the rift was closed.

"What was that?!" Cassandra spat out with anger.

"Those rifts are not the ones we've encountered so far. Seeker, we do not know what we are dealing with as far as the rifts. This is old magic." Solas said as he placed his staff along his back again. Whatever is going on here is certainly a concern. We must get to the bottom of this. "We do not know what these rifts can do, Seeker. It is best if we head into town and speak with Enchanter Fiona."

Eva huffed, stumbling to get her bow back in its place. She wasn't secure enough to tap into her mana. Leliana also wanted her… What was the word again? "Well rounded". That's it. But she hated using the bow as a weapon. Swords were too dangerous for her age; besides she could barely hold one up; let alone adding a shield with the sword. But she was clumsy with the bow. Varric and Leliana both took time from their duties to help train her when she had the time.

"They won't let us in." Varric broke her train of thought as she glanced towards the castle. Or was it a castle? It looked damaged. Rocks crumbling along the gate and signs of aging along the cracked stones. At least there was a lot of elfroot around. Gods know when they would have to pack some up to make potions.

Eva sighed irritably as she fumbled to put her bow away, along with too many daggers. Yeah, she sucked at that too and Leliana was a tough instructor. She learned many things with Leliana, and when to step in a situation where no one agrees with is one of them. While the others argued among themselves on how to go forward, Eva walked right up to the gate. "HELLO!" She screamed through the bars, her fingers gripping them so tightly that her knuckles turned white. "HELLO, I AM A HERALD BUT REALLY EVA, I CLOSED THE DEMON RIFT. CAN SOMEONE LET US IN! I NEED TO PEE AND I'M HUNGRY!"

Cassandra's mouth fell open as Varric's laughter stopped their fighting, he had tears streaming down his eyes from laughing so hard. Solas on the other hand was staring at her with widen eyes. If he didn't watch his composer his jaw would be just as jarred with Cassandras from shock. "I love her so much," Varric laughed and smacked the back of Solas. His crossbow was put away as he came up behind Eva. "You sure know how to make an entrance, elfroot." Varric grinned and ruffled her glacial white hair. She looked up and grinned at him. "Well, I had to say something, those two always fight over everything." Eva nudged her eyes towards Cassandra and Solas. "Besides," Eva said as she startled to wiggle. "I really must pee! And I am not going in the bushes again. She said with a sour face. "Didn't your clan ever go out there?" Varric was genuinely curious. "YES," Eva snorted with a giggle. "But with a lot more privacy and not in any place near a bears den!"

"Touché kid, touché."

"Inquisition,"

An Inquisition solider approached the gate that started go to up. Solas and Cassandra joined the other two, but the solider approached Cassandra. "They were not ready for our arrival. No one had told them." Cassandra's eyebrow raised but the frustration in her features remained.

"Explain."

He went on that their soldiers were a surprise, even though they had sent word to them. The Arl of Redcliffe should have received their papers ahead of time to ensure they were allowed within Redcliffe to begin with. Josephine usually made sure it was done. The solider was just as confused as everyone was. But the second the man said "Tevinter" everyone immediately became tense. All but Eva that is. She hadn't dealt with these horrid people yet, and that's what had them nervous. She and Solas were elves. Tevinter had no issue having slaves, and about half of them were her people. Slaved elves.

"Solas," Cassandra took a step back, her hand grasping Eva's shoulder gently away from the Inquisition solider. Varric was already on it with his distractions, while getting any ounce of information he can get ahold of.

"You can't be serious, Seeker!" Solas hissed. "Why should I be the one to tell her about this! Do not say because I am an elf!" Cassandra snapped back at him as well. "Growing up in a clan she has no experience with this. The adults did, not their children!" She huffed angrily as Solas's head fell into his palm.

"You need me." Varric interrupted. The solider had gone and the gate was open. Everyone kept to them themselves. The soldiers were undergoing training as others were allowed to leave the village and others to come back home. Eva was glancing around, slowly entering through the gates. It was enormous, the land was larger than Haven. A huge waterfall, that roared into the lake. Damage was done to one of the towers, a tower that led to the other half of Redcliffe.

Looked like you needed to take a boat to get over to the true castle. She was only halfway from the declining hill as she noticed all types of people working together. Her people, some without their 'vallaslin', others wearing it proudly. Others glaring at those who bore its mark on their skin. Her mother had her loyalty to Mythal. She thought her mark and the colors she had made her mask so beautiful. She would need to find her clan to have that done, and she had no idea where they have been since she has been trying to survive her responsibilities.

"Interesting group, hmm?" Eva jumped a bit when he suddenly popped up next to her. "No wonder you're a rogue," Eva huffed out her surprise. "You always scare me when you do that!" Varric laughed a bit as he nudged her shoulder a bit. Eva giggled a bit as she looked onward. "I haven't seen so many people together. Let alone working together. This is better than Haven." Eva said quietly.

Varric frowned a bit. "Hey elfroot, has anyone from your clan taken you to a human village? To either trade meat, herbs, anything like that?" He heard Eva hum a bit as she placed her finger along her chin. Bad sign. Varric thought.

"No, I wasn't old enough. I stayed and collected herbs for the clan and the elders for those who needed it. Mamae would stay too. Mostly men went with the people in the villages. Girls stayed behind." Eva looked over to Varric and smiled. But the look on his face turned that smile into a frown.
"Varric…?"
