BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
The loud sound of an alarm clock woke Fanny up from her sleep.
It was 7 AM at the Fulbright house as the oldest child, still half asleep, looked around her room.
It was a pretty messy room, as across the floor were clothes, hangers, music sheets, old candy wrappers and pizza boxes. The only thing that were organized were a green electric guitar placed neatly on a stand in a corner, next to the closed closet.
Fanny, in a white shirt and orange plaid pajama pants, her red hair sticking out wildly and over her eyes, groggily walked out of her room. She stumbled over towards the bathroom door, her vision partially blocked by her red curls. Once entering, she looked in the mirror and started to brush her hair out of her view.
As she was brushing, a smaller figure snuck near the bathroom. A younger boy in a blue hoodie. His head was covered by a large snow hat, which itself was covered by a large wok, with the number "85" painted on in yellow. He sneaked closer to the bathroom, holding a MUSKET in one hand and in the other hand a stick with a long string attached with a dangling rubber spider. He was now standing behind Fanny, who was still attempting to tame her unruly hair. The MUSKET behind her head, the spider string ready to position, and-
"Don't even think about it, squirt", Fanny said, not even turning around to face her brother.
The boy groaned and put the MUSKET back into the holster around his belt.
"It's funny Paddy." Fanny started to say as she the last of her hair getting brushed. "You've come down here from the moon last night for the first time in months and the first thing you do? You try to pull a prank on your older sister."
Fanny stopped for a second and groaned in the mirror. Despite her best effort, her hair was still frizzed and wild. She grabbed the toothbrush instead "And here I was thinking you'd like to relax on your time here."
"Nice to see you too, Fanny", Paddy rolled his eyes. "And for the record, I'm not back on earth to relax, I'm here for official business."
"Figures", Fanny's words were more mumbled between brushes. "Never take a break, huh?"
"Hey, I have a bazillion operatives to watch over and adults constantly trying to invade us at every turn. And unlike you, I actually DO my responsibilities."
Fanny stopped brushing, and turned around to face her younger brother, leaning against the sink. "Are you implying I don't take my organization seriously?"
"No, I'm outright saying it, there's quite a difference."
"Hey watch it, kid. Wouldn't want to be sent back to the moon in an ambulance, would you?"
"You better watch it too. Wouldn't want to be sent to Antarctica again, would you?"
"Oh please. Your guards practically escorted me back after a day," she retorted, rolling her eyes.
"Next time I'll make sure they don't until you're a popsicle!" Paddy moved closer towards his sister.
"Get out of my space, you little twerp", Fanny quickly gave a shove back.
"Stop shoving me Pizzaface!" Paddy shoved back.
"You stop first BRAT!"
"KIDS!"
Fanny and Paddy's shoving match was interrupted by another voice. They turned to see their mother, standing in the hallway with a cross face.
"Look at you 2! It's not even breakfast yet, and you're already arguing! Can't we have ONE day without you 2 raising a racket?!"
"But Mom-" Fanny started to protest.
"Shush!" That was quickly shot down. Fanny groaned, but didn't say anything.
"Now", the Fulbright matriarch resumed. "We've talked about this, and you 2 promised me you would make an effort to get along better. And I expect BOTH of you to keep your word."
"We will Mom", Paddy tried to calm their mother down. "It's just a little adjustment period that's all."
"Yeah, just…getting more common ground", Fanny shrugged. "Pretty soon these days are gonna be in the past."
"Hmmm", the older woman raised an eyebrow, before smiling. "Alright then. Now hurry up, your Dad's making pancakes."
"Ooo", this got both siblings excited. One of the few things they could agree on WAS their father's pancakes.
Paddy and Fanny watched their mother walk back down the hallway. Once she was out of earshot, they looked back at each other.
Paddy turned back to his sister. "...Are you free after school to work on the treaty?"
"Fine" Fanny rolled her eyes. "But only cause I don't wanna get grounded!"
"Likewise", Paddy's voice dripped with malice. He walked out of the bathroom. "See you downstairs."
"Whatever," Fanny replied. She watched her brother walk down the hall briefly before turning back to the mirror. "...Brat."
Paddy picked up on the last bit, and stopped for a second. Smirking, he walked hard into the wall.
"OW!" Paddy's voice rang loud in the house. "I SAID STOP SHOVING ME!"
"FRANCIS FULBRIGHT!"
Fanny whipped around to face her brother, snickering as he ran down the stairs to their angry mother.
"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING", the teenager raced down the stairs. "WHATEVER HE SAYS IT'S NOT TRUE!"
The inside of McClintock High's gym was filled with clamor as the students began preparing for the pep rally. Teenagers moved around, carrying instruments, signs, and large equipment. In the middle of the chaos, a short teenager walked through the crowd, accompanied by a taller bespectacled blonde holding a clipboard.
"Everything looks in order so far", Rachel looked at the clipboard as they walked. "Band's setting up to play on your signal, your podium is being set up in the center-WOAH", Rachel barely dodges a giant sousaphone. "Just need to check on the fog and lasers."
"Excellent", Fanny looked up at her friend. "Thanks Rachel, I don't know what I'd do without you."
"Probably time in detention", Rachel smirked.
"Ha ha ha." Fanny sarcastically laughed, and pulled out a phone from her pocket. "Wally, is everybody set on the lookout?"
"Everyone's at their posts, boss."
"Good, and tell everyone to keep an extra eye out. My brother's back in town and I don't want him trying anything."
"You got it."
Fanny put the phone back in her pocket, and grumbled.
"So are you going to make the announcement today?" Rachel asked.
"I HAVE to", Fanny sighed. "Just let everyone get their complaints out now while we finish the drafts."
Suddenly, the gym went black. Cymbals banged, teens shrieked, and heavy sounding equipment crashed to the ground. The only distinctable noise was a harsh "What the crud happened with the lights?!"
The lights came back on seconds later. Numerous band members and football players groaned while lying on the floor. Fanny and Rachel looked around at the mess and saw a chubby teenager running towards them.
"Sorry about that everyone, small technical error", Hoagie jumped over a bandstand and speakers. "Fan, all the lasers have been set up."
"Well couldn't you have set it up without causing a mini-blackout?!"
"Sorry, got the wrong wires crossed." Hoagie took note of Fanny's cross expression.
"Aw come on, it was an accident, and I fixed it. It looks like you need to "lighten" up." Hoagie cracked up at his own joke. His laughter was short though when he saw Fanny's frown hadn't budged. He cleared his throat awkwardly and continued on.
"Anyway, I'm just gonna go get the music systems hooked up." With that, Hoagie ran off, leaving Fanny and Rachel alone.
"How much you wanna bet he caused that blackout just so he could make that pun?," Fanny asked.
"What's the point? We both already know you're right."
"WAIT!"
The girls turned around as Hoagie ran back to them.
"Rachel! This is for you." He handed Rachel a handful of partially-blown dandelions. "From my brother," Hoagie finished before running back off.
The 2 girls stared at the small bouquet of weeds in Rachel's hands. Rachel groaned while Fanny smirked at her friend.
"You still haven't broken it to him, have you?," she asked as Rachel shoved the weeds into her pocket.
"So I'm still trying to find a way to tell him." The girls continued their walk.
"Look, it's not as hard as you're making it out to be. You just gotta look him in the eye and tell that pipsqueak it's just not gonna work out. You gotta nip it in the butt now before he tries to propose to you with a ring pop."
The bleachers started to fill with teenagers, Teen Ninjas and non-affiliated alike. They sat and made idle small talk, waiting for the main event.
Near the center, sat twin teenage boys. Both had brown hair and green football jerseys, with the same number "44".
"So what do you think The Fan's got us here for Peter", one of the twins asked.
"It could be ANYTHING Pete. Probably gonna sit through her latest "heroic" story", Peter rolled his eyes at the thought.
"Well maybe not", Pete tried to keep his hopes up. "Maybe she's here to talk about how great the football team's hoarding the sports equipment supply from those kids."
"I doubt it. If she was, she would've brought Eugene down to the floor."
The 2 looked over at the titular Eugene. A heavy built teenager with girls swooning around him. He had long wavy light brown hair, and a football jersey proudly displaying the number "13".
"Man that guy sure had a GLOW UP in middle school", Pete commented.
"I know", Peter added. "It's really amazing how much 13 can change you."
"YAWWWWN!"
The twins turned to their right and saw Patton sitting next to him. His eyes had large bags and he looked like he was seconds away from passing out. He dozed off, and started to lean on Pete's side
"Hey watch it, Dork-lovsky", Pete grimaced, shoving Patton away. Patton gasped and woke back up.
"Oh, gee I'm sorry", Patton sat back up. "And it's Drilovsky."
"Whatever", Peter rolled his eyes, annoyed. "What's the matter Dork-lovsky? You didn't get enough beddy-bye time last night?
Patton yawned again, ignoring the condescending tone. "No, not really. I had this really weird-"
Before Patton could continue, the band started to play. Teenagers screamed and cheered as the fog machines started up. The rally was starting.
"HE-LLO MCCLINTOCK HIGH!"
Hoagie stood in the middle of the gym, a microphone in hand. He shouted out to the sea of teenagers in the bleachers.
How's everybody doing today?"
Loud cheers and screams filled the gym in response.
"That's great to hear! You know, the funniest thing happened to me on the way over here-"
Those cheers quickly turned to groans.
"Hold on, I haven't gotten to the funny part yet", Hoagie reassured the room. "So, I'm on the bus-"
Outside the gym as Hoagie began to continue his joke, Rachel and Fanny were standing outside the gym doors.
"You ready, Fan?"
"Rachel please", Fanny straightened out her jacket collar. "I was born ready."
Rachel chuckled at her friend as she tried to flatten her hair (to no success).
"Rachel?," Fanny looked up to Rachel and smiled fondly. "Thanks for your help."
Rachel looked down at the shorter girl. Fanny had definitely changed, but at least their friendship was ONE constant through the years.
"It's no problem, Fan," Rachel smiled back. The girls looked out the door windows and groaned.
"Aw great, he's telling another one of his jokes, isn't he?"
"So I guess you could say the yolk's on me, huh?," Hoagie finished his joke inside the gym. Everyone groaned at the lousy punchline. Abby looked around the disappointed gym, before rolling her eyes and giving a sympathy clap.
"Thank you, thank you very much," Hoagie bowed, unaware of the cringed vocal majority.
"And now, the moment we've all been waiting for," Hoagie started the true event. Fog started to rise up dramatically outside the door.
"The leader of the Teen Ninjas," he continued as a drumroll started, "the "fan"-tastic," he joked as the gym groaned, "fan"-nomenal," even more groaning, "the one everyone is a "fan" of-"
"JUST GET ON WITH IT, GILLIGAN," Fanny yelled from the other side of the door.
"Ladies and gentlemen, The Fan," Hoagie hurriedly deadpanned out.
The Fan stepped out of the fog dramatically and into the gym. The band began to play loudly to rock music as she walked. Lasers and sparklers shot out into the air, accompanied by loud cheering.
Fanny beamed as she took the awe in. She yelled out with rock hands, and the cheers gree louder.
Fanny sighed as she reached the podium, with a confident smile on her face. 'I love my job', she thought.
"Thank you. Thank you!"
Fanny arrived on the podium. After an attempt to get up to stool (not an easy task for her short height), she reached the top for the podium as the gym went silent. "Now, I have called this emergency pep rally to talk about the Kids Next Door."
The teens groaned and "booed" just at the sound of the name.
"Yes, I know. I hear you dudes out", Fanny settled everyone down. "For years we have been at war with those little snotbuckers. They've read our diaries, told our parents about sneak outs and parties, they gave us ACNE viruses. But we've always retaliated and reminded them who's boss. With noogies, pink bellies, and demeaning nicknames like "shrimp" and "brat". But soon those days of rivalry will be set behind us."
"We're gonna get rid of the Kids Next Door", Wally shouted out.
"What", Abby looked concerned over the possibility.
"No", Fanny sighed. "We are", she shuddered. "Calling a truce."
The gym was silent, the teenagers trying to figure out if they just heard their leader right.
"A TRUCE! …Between kids and teenagers. We won't pick on them as long as they don't bug us. It's still in the works, but in the upcoming weeks, there will be a treaty designed by me and the Kids Next Door's Supreme Leader." Fanny sighed begrudgingly. "My little brother, to stop our fighting."
Naturally, the teens started to fight back against this.
"What's the point?!" One teenager shouted out. "It's not even gonna last a week! Those kids can't help themselves!"
"Is this another ambush?" A second one piped up. "Because The Steve already tried it and failed!"
A third teenager was aghast. "You're WILLINGLY going to allow this to happen?!"
"Hey SHUT UP!" Fanny shouted over the crowd, getting everyone to settle down. "Trust me! I hate this just as much as all of you do, and my brother does too", Fanny rolled her eyes and groaned. "But we have no choice. We have to appease a third party of higher authority."
"A THIRD party?!" Kuki prodded on.
"Yeah", Fanny leaned on the podium, tired. "Our MOM."
Everyone groaned, both in annoyance and understanding. Suddenly it all made sense. Of COURSE their leader was being coerced into this by a PARENT.
"So WE have to suffer just to please YOUR mom?!"
Fanny's eyes went wide at the voice. A VERY familiar voice. She looked out into the bleachers to a teenaged girl with blonde hair, a pink tank top and a purple skirt. Around her neck was a small gold chain necklace with the number "12".
"Just because YOU have family issues doesn't mean you have to force everyone else along", she continued, with a manipulative smile. "That doesn't sound like a good leader to me."
The other teens mumbled and nodded along to her words.
"The reason ANNA", Fan's voice dripped with malice. "Is because it's probably not just US going through this. How many of you have annoying siblings your parents yell at us for?"
The teens mumbled again, this time in agreement. Anna noticed the turn, and slumped down in her seat, frustrated.
"If we do this, it's not just good news for me and my brother", Fanny continued on. "It's for all teens worldwide. One less annoying thing to deal with in our free time. Plus, if they pick on us, that means the treaty's off. Those Kids Next Door have too many other villains to risk that. They wouldn't be stupid enough to try and mess with us!"
Suddenly, the gym went pitch black again. Students screamed and yelled to figure out what was going on.
"Hoagie! If this is a buildup to another joke, I swear I'm gonna-"
Suddenly the lights were back on. Everyone looked around, trying to figure out what just happened.
Fanny looked behind her, and saw Rachel and Abby looking around while Hoague tried to calm everybody down. In the midst of the chaos, her phone buzzed.
"Wally," she answered. "What's up?"
"Boss! It's Stork and Sims. They're gone!"
Fanny thought profusely at her desk. Right now, she was sitting in a classroom. Numerous students around her were talking, texting, and snoozing as the teacher sketched on the chalkboard, droning on about algebra. Behind her was Patton, slouched on his desk, finally passed out. His soft snores blew air on the back of Fanny's neck. Fanny ignored the sleeping teen behind her to talk to Rachel, sitting beside her at another desk.
"So Bartie and Virginia STILL haven't shown back up?"
"Everyone's looking, but there's no trace of them. Maybe it's just another prank or something!"
"No way! It's Pizza Day at lunch. They'd never risk setting up a prank and miss out on Pizza Day. AND they go missing right after a giant blackout? This cannot just be a mere coincidence." Behind her, Fanny could hear Patton starting to restlessly move in his sleep, squirming in his chair.
"But who do you think would've taken them", Rachel asked. "Maybe the Faculty 4 after last week-"
They wouldn't let those 2 miss a class." Fanny dismissed the theory. "Herbie's still going over the tape to try to find clues, but he's taking forever."
"I mean it IS a lot of footage."
"Yeah but he could do it faster. If it was Hoagie I would've got results in 5 minutes," Fanny vented and slumped on her desk. "If only his fee wasn't so cruddy expensive."
Fanny felt the snoring down her neck come in shorter and louder breaths. She could hear Patton's hands thump on the desk in his sleep.
The teen leader looked down at her notebook at a list of possible causes. Although with the amount of crosses and Xs inside, it looked more like a bunch of angry scribbles.
"Wow," Rachel said as she looked at her friend's "notes". "This is really eating you huh?"
"Gee, what was your first hint?"
Fanny thought about some more about another possible lead.
'Maybe it's Paddy trying to pull a fast one on me….no. He wouldn't risk that treaty, he'd get in trouble too. He's probably already told his dumb organization too, so they're off limits. What would they possibly pull something that dumb for anyway?'
The teen's thoughts were interrupted by a strange trickling sound.
'The crud is that?' Fanny thought as the sound continued. 'Did Wally break the water fountains again?'
Fanny looked around the classroom for the source of the sound. She noticed the other students looking by her, gasping and whispering with wide eyes. Confused, Fanny looked behind her and her eyes also went wide. In the desk behind her, Patton was sleeping and breathing heavily, shaking and clinging to his desk. But the thing that was really catching everyone's attention was the floor beneath him, slowly turning yellow by a growing puddle.
"Oh my gosh." Fanny whispered to herself. She looked at Rachel, who had just turned around. "You're seeing this too, right?"
"Trust me, I'm seeing it", Rachel answered. She looked around and noticed the other students staring. "And apparently so is everybody else."
Gradually, soft chuckles broke out in the room that escalated to full blown laughing. Eventually, the puddle stopped, almost reaching the back of Fanny's chair legs.
The laughter filled the classroom, all eyes still on the sleeping teenager, in shock of what just happened.
"No," Patton cried out in his sleep. "no, No, NO!"
That seemed to finally wake him up. Patton jerked up in his seat, still breathing heavily from whatever he was dreaming about. He looked around the room, taking in the students laughing and staring at him, and the teacher, who finally looked away from the board to his students.
Patton's breathing settled back to normal as he kept looking around. Confused by the laughter, he turned to the girls in front of him and asked, "W-What's going on?"
Rachel and Fanny awkwardly looked at each other, then at Patton, and pointed down to the puddle below them. He looked down, and then back up, his fall full of shock and fear.
"Did I fall asleep?"
"Yeah," the girls answered simultaneously.
"Oh no…", Patton's voice was filled with dread. He looked back at everyone else in the room, still laughing and taking their phones out, presumably to tell all of their friends of what just happened in their algebra class.
"Alright class, enough," the teacher told the class as he walked towards Patton. The laughter died down as the students waited to hear what their teacher would do. The teacher sighed exasperated. "I thought I'd be done with this situation when I left first graders.", he muttered. Just loud enough for Patton to hear and shrink into his seat. "Mr Drilovsky, go clean up in the bathroom and go to the nurse."
"I think it's a little late for the bathroom, sir," Fanny said, leading to a few students chuckling. The teacher turned around to her desk.
"Well, Ms Fulbright, since you've clearly been paying attention," he said and pointed at her notebook scribbles, "Why don't you go and get a janitor for this mess?"
"Fine, whatever," Fanny said and got up with Patton. The 2 left the classroom to their respective goals.
"Now with that out of the way", the teacher walked back to the board, " Let's continue our lesson on inequalities."
The class groaned as the teacher resumed to drone on, the classroom reeking with boredom and urine in the air.
Fanny and Patton continued to walk down the hallway, before they came up to 2 doors in the middle of the hallway.
"Alright", the shorter teen spoke. "You know the way to the nurse, you don't need me to hold your hand the whole way. I gotta go take care of other business."
Fanny turned around at an intersection, to go down an opposite hall, and gave the boy a small wave. "But uh, thanks for getting me out of algebra, I guess."
Fanny started her way down to a new destination, but stopped when she heard a sniffle.
And another. And a few more after that.
The girl turned around to the boy, tears beginning to form in his eyes.
"Aw, no," she started to say. "No. No. No. Dude, don't start the waterworks. I mean, you technically already did, but like, not the tears."
"I-I'm sorry", Patton hiccuped in between tears. "I…I just…I can't help it. I just…and I didn't want to fall asleep, but…and now I…"
Fanny looked at him, and glanced slowly back down the hallway. "...Yeah, you uh…you did um…but uh, anyway, I gotta go now, and do that thing so uh…"
Patton sniffed. "Ok, yeah. I…I get it."
Fanny turned around to head back, but stopped as she heard Patton's tears get louder. From the sound of it, it was a full on breakdown.
Fanny knew realistically, she should keep going. She can't stay out of algebra forever, and she still had a janitor to find, on top of 2 ninjas.
And yet…she didn't move.
"HELP! SOMEONE!"
A lone nerd pounded on his locker door at McClintock High. He was trapped on the inside of it, after a bad run-in with a quarterback.
He kept pounding, trying to get somebody's attention.
"Somebody help! I'm stuck!"
Suddenly, an explosion rang out in the hallway. The nerd was pushed to the back of his locker, and by extension the rest of the wall. Coughing from the loose debris, he rubbed his glasses clean and saw The Steve, standing by with a younger redheaded teenager, holding a-

"You alright dude", The Steve offered a hand to the nerd. After deducing it wasn't a trick, the nerd took it.
"Uh, yes", he chuckled nervously. "..Thank you for getting me out."
"Ah it's no probs man", The Steve shrugged it off. "Just like my job and all."
The nerd smiled, then looked down at his watch. "Oh my gosh! I'm gonna miss the Dr Time Space and the Continuums marathon! I gotta go!"
The nerd ran off to go to his friends for their "epic" afternoon.
The Steve put the S.I.R.A.C.H.A. in his pocket. "And that's the fastest way to get a locker open. Yeah they got combos but like, all those numbers and turning. The sauce saves you so much time."
The leader looked down at his apprentice, who looked at the hallway the nerd ran down confused.
"Something wrong Fan?"
"I don't understand", Fanny looked up at her teacher. "He's not even a Ninja. Heck, he's just some nerd. You don't even know him!..Why did you save him?"
"Because", The Steve readjusted his shades. "That's like, what the Leader does. Some Ninjas are like, gonna bail on some missions cause they only affects nerds. Worry it's gonna affect their reps and stuff. But little dude", he knelt down to Fanny's short height, a hand on her shoulder.
"The Leader protects ALL teens. Yeah, some are TOTALLY lame and we're like, WAY out of their league. But they're still teenagers. And if we don't help the losers out, then like, no one else will."
"...Huh", Fanny looked back down the hallway, taking in The Steve's righteous wisdom. "...Ok."
Fanny blinked out of her flashback, as she looked over at Patton, who was still bawling. She took a deep breath in and out. "...Ok."
Fanny walked back towards the boy and pointed to the other hallway. "I think there may actually be a janitor on the way to the nurse."
Patton stopped his tears for a moment, watching Fanny walk down the hallway. He was confused. Did SHE just talk to HIM? There's no way.
"Well come on", she shouted back from a distance. "Walk and talk dude. We haven't got all day."
"Oh! Uh…ok", Patton quickly ran over by her side. He slowed to a walk after catching up, looking down at Fanny like a lost puppy.
It was an awkward silence as the 2 walked down the corridor.
Fanny looked at the ground, before looking back up to him. It was at that moment she realized just how tall he was. Patton was pretty tall for a teenager, and since Fanny was shorter than most teenagers, the height difference was much more drastic.
"So uh….", Fanny looked awkwardly at the ground. "Dor-"
'Don't call him that!' Fanny's thoughts stopped her mouth. 'How is he gonna feel better if you call him a dork?! Shoot but I only know him as Dork-lovsky, crud! Ok The Fan think. What's his ACTUAL name?!
Patton looked down at Fanny when she stopped her sentence. "...Yes?"
'Shoot! He's waiting! SAY SOMETHING!'
"Soooo", Fanny drew the word out, "...Lovsky", she finally settled on the last part of his name. 'Close enough'
"Uh, it's Dri-", Patton didn't get to finish his sentence before Fanny continued on.
"So uh, what happened with all of..", she gestured to the stain on his pants. "That?"
"Wha-oh! Uh", Patton's face turned red as he looked at the floor. "It uh, it happens sometimes when I sleep. I get-"
"Pfft", Fanny couldn't help but scoff. "You're still a bedwetter? What are we, 6 years old?" She chuckled at her own quip…until she noticed Patton slumping in his walk, upset.
'CRUD! Way to rub it in The Fan!...*sigh* Ok, we can fix this.'
"Hey", Fanny started again. "I'm sorry what I meant was-"
"I'm doomed", Patton sniffed again, huddling more in himself. "I've already been picked on for everything else, but NOW it's just gonna get worse! If even YOU'RE making fun of it, what's Wally gonna do? And Bartie and Virginia?!", the boy was breaking down just at the thought, and looked at Fanny. "Do you know what's gonna happen to me tomorrow?!"
The 2 turned a corner as Patton's crying was getting worse again. Fanny looked at the passing lockers, before looking back up at the taller teen.
"Take off your hoodie", she finally said.
Patton sniffed again, his shiny red eyes looked down at her. "What?"
"Your hoodie", she held her hand out. "Give it to me."
Patton looked at her for a moment, before taking the green hoodie off, leaving his white shirt underneath. Fanny held it, noting the Rainbow Monkey ears and rainbow on the hood.
'Sheesh. Wets his pants AND Rainbow Monkeys? It's like I'm dealing with a kid.'
But Fanny kept that thought to herself as she continued talking. "I don't know exactly, what's gonna happen tomorrow. Whatever it is, it probably WILL be rough. But-"
She proceeded to tie the hoodie around Patton's waist.
"Whatever DOES happen, I'll be there to help you out of the aftermath."
"... Really?"
"Yeah. I'm The Fan, Leader of the Teen Ninjas", Fanny continued on as she tied a knot. "It's my job to help out ALL teenagers, even the losers and dorks like you."
She finished tying the knot as Patton's hoodie wrapped around his waist, his pants covered by the green material.
"There", she felt accomplished at her work. "So at least nobody else will see it today." Fanny looked up, and saw their destination up ahead. "There's the nurse. You can make it from there."
Patton looked at the white door, then back at Fanny. His eyes were still shiny, and he had a small smile of gratitude. "...Thank you."
"Ah it's no prob Lovsky", Fanny shrugged. "It's just like, my job and all. Now go get cleaned up and stuff."
Patton nodded, and continued to the nurses office by himself.
'Yes! I freaking NAILED it', Fanny strutted back down the hallway confidently. 'I bet even The Steve couldn't have handled a situation like THAT. Would've probably S.I.R.A.C.H.A.'d him on sight! Ha! Well that isn't what happens with-'
"THE FAN!"
Fanny looked down the hallway, and noticed a semi-thin nerd with a beige shirt and a light blue tie, carrying a large laptop and a pocket protector littered with pens.
"Herbie", Fanny ran towards the nerd. "Did you find out who took them?"
"I did", Herbie stopped, and adjusted the laptop screen. "In the hallways outside the gymnasium."
The recording showed Wally, Bartie, and Virginia in Battle Ready Armor, talking indistinctly.
"Now this is when the blackout starts."
On Herbie's cue, the inside of the gym went black. The 3 guards looked out the windows, and 3 figures came out from behind them.
Fanny watched as Wally was blinded by a S.P.I.C.E.R., and Bartie and Virginia were dragged off by the 2 figures.
"Zoom in closer", Fanny demanded. A few key types later, the picture was zoomed and enhanced.
Fanny narrowed her eyes and got a better look at the kidnappers. The 2 were much smaller than the teens, around half their height. From far away, they were barely noticeable, but in the enhanced view, Fanny quickly recognized the culprits.
The culprits, AND their affiliation.
"THOSE GRUBBY LITTLE BRATS!!!"
Yeah so we got some new plots in place of old ones. I got rid of the old "Whizzer" nickname cause yeah, that got transplanted to OCs too cause I don't think it fits KND as much as it was me making stuff up. But yeah, some old and some new XD
Hope you enjoyed it and please review. Reviews are always appreciated
