These stories are again the creativity property of my friend Japananimegirl. All rights to the Aqua Senshi belong to her. They are also based on the 90s dub.
In the Crystal Sea, Princess Orca and her best friend out of the Aqua Senshi, Lucy, raced towards the surface together. "Orca, hurry, or we'll miss it!" Lucy excitedly said to her leader. Orca was right on her pink friend's tail, which had her pink beads around the base!
Frequently, Orca thought if you didn't know any better, you could mistake Lucy for their friend Chibiusa. Even more so when she transformed as her blonde, pigtailed hair turned sugar pink with white highlights! Highlights are popular in hairstyles, but more so for Asians because they are accepted for casual and formal occasions! Lucy also enjoyed junk foods like pudding, pie, and candy! Also, as was Chibiusa's, red was one of Lucy's favorite colors!
"If you told me where you're going, I'd be able to follow more easily, Lucy," Orca complained.
"We're going right where those boats are." Lucy pointed to the surface. Her numerous bracelets and rings around her wrist and fingers gleamed in the moonlight.
It was unmistakable that Orca's other Aqua Senshi had done Lucy's hair, make-up, and outfit. Mermaids always liked to fuss over each other with these kinds of things! Why was Lucy all dolled up?
"Why? I'm not going any further unless you give me a good reason." Orca crossed her arms.
"I just wanted to show you the fireworks display!" Lucy explained enthusiastically.
"We've seen fireworks before..." Orca replied, annoyed.
"Not this close! These fireworks are set off on those boats. It's like we'll have front-row seats! Just come for a second, please? If you don't like it, we can go." Lucy begged.
"It's not that I wouldn't like it, Lucy. But you know there are still dangerous people up there! Many who wouldn't hesitate to turn you into a biology experiment or fantasy lover!" Orca urged her soldier to think about the possible dangers.
"I'm an Aqua Senshi! My crystal pearl would help protect me. Hannah's going." Lucy pouted. Their friend Hannah was also an Aqua Senshi. She was the counterpart to Mars.
"She is?! Why didn't you say something?!" Panicked, Orca rushed to the surface but could not locate her kind teammate.
"I thought you would be sold on seeing fireworks up close. Hannah is watching from shore." Lucy giggled
"Why do you get such a rise out of alarming me?!" Orca shouted, irritated.
"You're supposed to be the adventurous one." Lucy pointed out.
"I am, but we need to be cautious, too." Orca reasoned.
"That's why Sara won't come..." Lucy trailed off sadly.
Despite being the same age as everyone else, the mature orange mermaid acted more like a Mother Hen, treating the other girls like her children. Though they appreciated her concern for them and admired her determination, it was more fun when she joined in on the nonsense moments. Sadder is the most serious girl who had barely ever been to the surface and did not know how enjoyable fireworks could be, even calling them "Booming Sky Flowers that bloom in the heavens," as they described them!
To add insult to injury, Sara forbade Seira to partake in what she deemed "tomfoolery." King Delphin and Queen Oki understood Sara's point of view. However, they hated to hear the sweet, little orange mermaid cry her heart out. As it got dark...
BOOM! This sound and a bright flash of colored light made Orca jump into Lucy's arms! Lucy laughed as they discovered it was just a practice firework. As dazzling fireworks spiraled through the air in the show, Lucy could not help but open her mouth, and her phenomenal singing flowed out! Unfortunately, as Orca feared, the wrong kind of person heard Lucy's fantastic voice and wanted it for his own enjoyment and his alone!
As Orca heard a rowboat heading towards them, she tugged Lucy's arm, forcing her to stop and listen. Both silently dived back underwater and away from the breathtaking scene. "I'm sorry, Princess." Lucy apologized, referring to Orca as Princess, proving her statement as genuinely sorry.
"It's not your fault you sing like a dream. I hope Hannah is OK too." Orca prayed as she and Lucy rushed back to the Coral Reef Palace!
