April 5th dear diary we went home today the castle looks beautiful as well as new rooms for us kids we had the kitchen living area and Auntie Beth's cottage redone. We all love this as dad said the Castle hadn't had a makeover since he was a teenager. He and mom also had the baby's nursery redone as it had not really been decorated. It now looks like a garden and is so pretty. We decided to eat out tonight as the staff won't be back until tomorrow, we had their cottages redone as well since they needed it. Signing off I work overnight and am heading out.
April 6th dear diary moms been busy helping us re organize rooms and set up my sewing room. We also welcomed the staff back to their new cottages and had a special dinner party to thank them for their help. A lot of these people such as the steward who will retire the end of this year have been here since dad was little. In other news mom and I have each welcomed 2 litters of rabbit kittens her girls had 6 and 8 my girls each had 8. We kept 4 2 males' chocolate and Butterscotch as moms other male Peanut and my boy sugar need to retire. And 2 females as mom's oldest girl her rabbit blossom is needing to retire, she picked a girl she named caramel, and Elsie kept a girl she named spice. The other babies will be sold to several local families including my friend Abby. Signing off mom wants me to pack we are going to Merroway cove till the 15th I will write then.
April 15th we arrived home a couple of hours ago from an exciting vacation. We were there over spring break, and we met a lot of people saw lots of new things and learned a lot. This is just one of several upcoming royal visits as both schools ended early this year so they can be updated and redecorated. I worked with Violet and Dorrie this afternoon as Candice and Amber were away on secret business. We had several office visits this afternoon including Kelly who we found out is expecting again in November. She has asked me to help her surprise Manny. Signing off she and I our working on the plans and we need to think about what we want to do.
April 17th dear diary today Kelly and I set up a scavenger hunt for Manny's birthday, the end of which revealed the surprise I told you the other day. He is very excited and so is the rest of their families, we told them after he found out. I then helped Elsie who was busy in her office she had several injured people waiting to be seen. First, we saw Mrs. Lopart who had burned her hand on a hot pan. She was referred to Dr. McStuffins for treatment as it's a bad burn. She took care of mom who had tripped and badly cut her knee it needed special band aids to repair. We also saw a stable hand with splinters in his hand a Gardner who sliced his thumb he was referred out for stitches, we saw Emily and Elizabeth for scraped elbows and knees. Then it was time for her to close shop for the night.
She then helped me with a nasty scrape on my knee I got as we were walking back to the main house. I then spent several hours packing as we leave again tomorrow for a 10 day royal visit set. I am signing off we leave early tomorrow.
April 28th we arrived home late yesterday evening from an amazing 10 day adventure. We arrived home in time to see my cat socks have her 2nd litter of 8 kittens. They are very tiny and adorable mom is allowing Beth and Elliot to have their pick of the litter which they can take home in 6 weeks. they chose the runt who will be named Midnight she is almost pure black with only a white tail tip. I am signing off until the 10th as mom and dad are going on a very important trip which is all I can say about it at this moment.
May 10th dear diary mom and dad arrived home for their trip the important thing they were doing and I can announce is dad has decided to adopt me and they were in our home village to take care of some details. The adoption will go through within the next month, so I am excited. I have known he wanted to do it, but they couldn't get all the details ironed out till yesterday. We celebrated with a huge dinner and Mrs. Garcia had my favorite cookies for dessert. Today was also a very important day at work we received our certificate making us official Jr. midwifes not midwifes in training. Signing I am wound up and can't make my brain shut off.
May 20th dear diary it's been a crazy 5 days as we were in a carriage accident the 15th. We will be ok but are all injured in some way Gwen and Georgia are both badly bruised and have some cuts. The older twins are both badly bruised and both needed stitches in their lips, and each have several pulled muscles. Elsie and I both have whiplash she broke her arm and pulled a muscle in her hip badly; I have several bruised ribs a broken collar bone and a severely sprained my knee. Mom had to have stitches in her lip has whiplash and bruising while dad has a broken foot and several bad bruises, Reuben who was driving has badly broken his ankle and needed surgery for internal bleeding. I am signing off we are all needing to rest as we are trying to heal.
June 1st it has been 16 days since are accident we are all slowly healing I am off work the next 3 weeks minimum as Dr. McStuffins wants me on crutches for my knee through the 15th as I badly sprained it when we crashed my collar bone will also take about that long to heal. Elsie is also off for 3 weeks minimum due to her arm and hip; the 2 sets of twins are all almost back to normal, but it will take time for the 4 of us who have broken bones and sprains. Reuben is off for at least 3 months as he needed 2 surgeries one to repair his internal bleeding and last week on his ankle which needed a plate and screws. Right now, we have a friend of my late dads driving the carriage. Signing off I am hurting again and need Lilly who is Taking care of Elsie and I get me a pain pill.
June 20th I was able to return to work yesterday but am still dealing with my stupid knee being tight and sore. I will mainly do paperwork the special scans and any work I can do sitting down. After work today I helped Elsie with a backlog of injured staff as she must take things easy for 2 more weeks as her arm isn't completely healed. Among the injured were Manny who slammed his finger in a door it needed ice and a splint he will need X rays tomorrow if its still hurting. Then Mrs. Garcia came in after she cut her thumb, we called Dr. McStuffins it needed 4 stitches. After this Manny's grandfather came in with a large thorn in his hand that was an easy fix. I mainly filled in her accident book as its her writing arm that's broken Dr McStuffins mother has been helping Elsie with things, she can't do one handed. We Celebrated Doc's birthday tonight she is becoming a toy doctor for the castle her office will be across from my sewing room and the first aid office. My sewing room is also where I help Lola by doing repairs and hemming. This is done on my 2 days off each week.
She revealed her secret to our whole family along with Dorrie Candice Amber and Sofia the 15th as she decided that it needed to be to be told and we found out her grandma Lois also has this ability her grandma takes turns between taking care of Mia helping Elsie and helping Doc. She has repaired dolls for Dorrie Candice and Sofia and Fixed Gwen's bunny that the dog got ahold of. Signing off until the end of the month I have work to catch back up on.
June 30th dear diary we are all completely healed although Ruben is still getting better his injuries were the worst of anyone's. we went on 2 royal visits and are finally caught up on all the work we missed while we were injured. I am not righting next month as we are going to be on a month long trip to see several royals. Talk to you in august dear diary I am so excited as this trip will Be Elsie Olivia Lilly and I only as mom needs to take it easy she found out yesterday that she is going to need surgery to repair an old shoulder injury.
