A/N: Thank you to everyone who takes the time to give my story a read, this is my first Labyrinth fanfiction, and I was nervous as all get out about posting it. There isn't going to a set schedule for me to upload the chapters as I have work and real-life issues to deal with.
I didn't forget about the story, I promise. Real-life has been a bit of a bitch, and I haven't had a muse in a while. Thank you for being patient and staying for the story.
Also, A SPECIAL CUPPA TEA FROM THE WORMS for shadowsforlife, Tommi1, hobgoblinowl, Caprilt, ndavis77 for the follows of the story! I was absolutely blown away to get those notifications in my email!
And a special MAGIC DANCE for Caprilt for the favorite! I really appreciate it!
Please leave a review if you have time, I would absotively posilutely love the feedback. And without further ado…
I do not own anything except any OC characters that I choose to add into the story. Thank you.

XI.
Jareth stood slowly, the exhaustion steadily creeping back to the front, threatening to make him fall over, but he gritted his teeth and made his way back to his bedchamber where Sarah lay in his bed. He leaned on the right bedpost at the foot of bed, crossing his arms. Jareth was relieved that Sarah was safe but not so relieved that the danger was still out there. The Master person that had them both in his clutches would need to be taken care of, and fast. Jareth was lost in his thoughts when a voice broke through his musings.
"One of these days you're going to get yourself in a spot of trouble and I won't be there to help patch you up." The calm voice replied. Jareth turned and saw his oldest childhood friend and confidant, Ayden. Ayden was a few years older than Jareth, had deep brown eyes that smoldered in the sun. And the most unique thing was the Ayden's hair was a shockingly ostentatious shade of neon lime green Jareth had ever seen. Ayden had said that it was due to an accident while studying to be a healer but wouldn't explain the details. He decided to keep it, and even though he could glamor it, he preferred it that way.
Jareth chuckled weakly at Ayden's comment, "I know for a fact, old friend, that you will be there whenever I call." He said.
Auden smiled gently and offered an arm and shoulder to Jareth. "True. But who else has the know-how to keep your ass in line?" He retorted, grinning as he received another weak chuckle from Jareth as he helped to the left side of the bed. Ayden helped Jareth lay down and then began assessing his injuries. Ayden healed what he could with magic, and what he couldn't heal with magic, namely the sores and rashes caused by the iron shackles that were on his wrists and ankles, he placed a special salve that was mixed with herbs and magic which could assist in the healing process. When he was finished with the salve, he covered the areas with cloth bandages, then wiped his hands on his healer robes, and smiled at Jareth. "That's all I can for now, old friend. Is there anything else you need?" He asked quietly.
Jareth nodded and gestured to Sarah. "She was with me in the cell. I could not leave her there. She hasn't eaten or drank in a little less than 24 hours. She was manhandled and roughhoused, mostly in the jaw. The last beating knocked her unconscious. Please make sure she is alright." He pleased to Ayden.
Ayden was taken aback by Jareth's pleading and knew that he was serious about this woman that lay next to him. He walked over, lifted the sheet, and began to examine her. His eyes widened when he recognized her face, even with the swelling and dirt. "Is this her?" Ayden asked softly, his voice low enough just for Jareth to hear.
Jareth sighed, "Yes, it is. And I would appreciate it if you kept it to yourself for now. Lorcan also recognized her but thankfully chosen not to say anything. I will regale everyone with the story later." He said, exasperatedly.
Ayden chuckled softly, "Of course. Rest, old friend. You should feel better soon. I will be back later to check on the both of you. She will wake. Just give her body time to adjust. I will have some food and drink brought up.: He said, before walking out of the bedchamber and disappearing from sight, the bedchamber door closing of it's own volition behind him.
Jareth let the exhaustion finally overtake his senses and just before he fell asleep, he took another look at Sarah, who seemed to now be breathing much easier and didn't look as pale. They would definitely sort all of this out when they were both more rested. As Jareth drifted off, he couldn't help but be a tad excited to finally have his Sarah back in his castle, and better yet, in his bed, even if not under normal circumstances. Jareth fell asleep with a smile on his face and slept well for the first time in 15 years.

Jareth felt the sun rising, as he did each day since he was connected to time with the Labyrinth. He gently stretched each part of his body with his eyes closed and went through a check list to tell Ayden when he came to check on him. He was just about to drift back off to sleep when a soft sore caught his attention. His eyes flew open, and he turned his head slowly to side. There, next to him, having moved in her sleep to her side, was Sarah. Jareth was quite sure that the last 24 hours had been a dream, but Sarah being in his bed, in his castle, proved an entirely different story. As slowly as he could, he turned onto his side and faced Sarah. He reached out a hand and stroked the side of her cheek again, eliciting a soft sigh from her lips. Jareth froze and pulled his hand away, not wanting to disturb the moment of watching Sarah sleep. Then he had an idea. Jareth cleared his throat softly, and began to sing, hoping it would rouse Sarah from her slumber.
There's such a sad look
Deep in your eyes, a kind of pale jewel
Open and closed within your eyes
I place the sky within your eyes
There's such a fooled heart
Beating so fast in search of new dreams
A love that will last within your heart
I'll place the moon within your heart
As the pain sweeps through
Makes no sense for you
Every thrill has gone
Wasn't too much fun at all
But I'll be there for you
As the world falls down
Falling
Falling in love
I'll paint you mornings of gold
I'll spin you Valentine evenings
Though we're strangers till now
We're choosing the path between the stars
I'll leave my love between the stars
As the pain sweeps through
Makes no sense for you
Every thrill has gone
Wasn't too much fun at all
But I'll be there for you
As the world falls down

Sarah's mind wandered through the blackness, a soft voice singing a familiar tune filtered through…
Sarah's eyes fluttered sleepily as she yawned, wincing from the sharp pain in her jaw and the soreness that she noticed thrummed throughout her body. Her hands began to move towards her face, when she felt a pair of slender, but masculine ones pause her hands mid movement. Sarah gasped softly, took a deep breath, and opened her eyes, trying to blink the sleep away as she focused on what, or should she say who was in front of her. Her emerald gaze was met with Jareth's own, and his mismatched eyes held a look of concern. Sarah's mind came to the realization that he was still holding her hands and she blushed. "M-morning…" She said, breathlessly as she pulled her hands back, her face hot as she looked away quickly.
Jareth's eyes never left Sarah's face as she looked away. He placed a hand gently under her chin and turned her head slowly back so that she would meet his gaze again. "Where does it hurt, Precious?" He asked softly, as he let go of her chin and let his hand hover against her check, his eyes searching her face for any signs of discomfort, frowning slightly at the bruise that was beginning to form near the bottom of her jaw and up her cheek.
Sarah was taken aback by the amount of concern on his face and placed her hand atop his to press his palm gently against her cheek, wincing at the pressure. "Everywhere, but mostly my jaw. He had a mean backhand." She said softly, her voice still sounding sleepy and slightly amused.
Jareth gave her a knowing look and placed his other hand on her other cheek gently. "Now that we are out of that precarious predicament, my magic can help." He said, quietly.
