When he got to where the accident occurred, Walter was puzzled. Nobody was there. Not Paige, police, news reporters or anyone else. So, Walter got back in his car. While he was driving back to the garage, Walter turned on the news and was shocked at what he heard.
"A woman now identified as 25-year-old Paige Dineen and her 7-year-old son Ralph Dineen were a the corner of Hawthorne Avenue and LAX in a vehicle that appeared to be out of control." the newswoman spoke.
"That's right Diane. According to our sources the vehicle in question fell down the manhole I'm standing next to after all four tires popped." the newsman commented.
'That's very odd. Usually only one of the tires pop.' Walter thought.
"Paige and Ralph are now at the Los Angeles local hospital." the newsman added.
Walter then swerved on the road before using his car's system to call Toby.
"Let me guess, Paige is with Tim and your spying on them?" Toby interrogated.
"Paige's car fell down a manhole after all the tires popped. Paige and Ralph are at the local hospital." Walter answered.
"And I assume that's where your going?" Toby remarked.
"I'll meet you there." Walter finished before dropping the call.
Everyone then assembled at the entrance to the hospital in 15 minutes.
"Can I help you?" the woman at the front desk greeted.
"Yes, we are here to see Paige and Ralph Dineen." Walter responded.
"Walter!" Ralph cried as he ran to Walter before hugging him.
"Hey, where's your mom?" Walter asked.
Ralph then pulled apart as he tried to answer without crying.
"She's in room 175. But they say she's in a coma." Ralph sobbed.
"I'll stay with him if he doesn't want to go back there." Cabe offered.
Ralph nodded.
"Okay, let's go guys." Walter spoke.
Back with the group in France, it was 5:30 in the morning and they were at the Factory.
"I didn't think Xana would pull something this nasty." Ulrich spoke.
"But at least he doesn't have the ability to kill anyone. Well, not on Earth yet anyways." Jeremy commented.
"I guess we're just to fast for him!" Odd smirked.
"I can't wait for the day we finally get to say goodbye to that pesky AI." Yumi sighed.
"Yeah, you say that. But I'm also the only one keeping you all alive right now." Xana snarled.
"What? What do you mean by that?" Jeremy wondered.
"The men in black know about the Factory. They remember about it. They knew what Franz did. So, they plan to come and decommission it and arrest you all." Xana elucidated.
Everyone gulped.
