When they reached the Hermitage, the Lyoko team was relieved that they weren't followed or spotted.
"I say we should initiate a return trip after we find that kid again and erase his memory of Lyoko." Ulrich suggested.
"But how can we do that? We don't even know where he is." Jeremy commented.
"Einstein has a point, there's nothing we can do if we can't find him." Odd agreed.
"Wait, is it possible to track him across the net like with Xana?" Yumi wondered.
"I didn't think about that, we just might find him after all if we can track his genetic code." Jeremy smiled.
Meanwhile, Ralph was home sleeping when a dark mist came creeping through his window. It slinked across his bedroom floor in the shadows until it climbed up his blanket and into his nervous system. Ralph's body sat up, eyes wide open. However, Ralph was no longer in control of his body; but rather Xana was. So, Xana forced Ralph's body to get out of bed and walk towards the door outside. However, Paige noticed her son walking towards the apartment complex hallway door and stopped him.
"Are you okay sweetie?" Paige worried.
In response to this unforseen development, Xana created an orb of red electricity and threw it at Paige, causing her to slump into an unconscious mass on the floor. After escaping, Xana followed the EMP of the electric flow in the building to the basement before absorbing all of the electricity in the building and leaving. Walter tried calling Paige, in an attempt to check on her after the previous sewer incident. However, since he didn't get a response, Walter left a message for Paige's voicemail.
"Hey Paige, just wanted to make sure your injuries weren't fatal. Please call me back, bye." Walter spoke before shutting down his phone, laying on his bed in the loft and staring at the ceiling.
Suddenly, Xana realized he wasn't controlling a polymorphic specter and that the body he was currently in control of would eventually take damage from the possession. The longer it was, the more fatal the effects would be. Something which the Lyoko warriors would eventually notice. So, Xana decided to retreat from the physical holding chamber of his current possession host until he could think of something.
Then, Xana got the idea to use the sewers to transport his victim via walking and occasionally depart from the body to rest or steal electricity to fuel his ambitions.
Back at her apartment, Paige just woke up and remembered that Ralph was gone so she decided to call Cabe.
"You do know what time it is right kiddo?" Cabe questioned.
"I know what time it is Cabe. But Ralph left the apartment! I'm putting my coat on now to go and look for him." Paige assured.
"Call Walter and I'll call Sly." Cabe ordered before hanging up.
"Come on, pick up, pick up." Paige rambled.
"Hello?" Walter greeted.
"Ralph left the apartment! I think he's sleepwalking but I'm not sure! What I'm sure of is he's left the apartment and I need help finding him." Paige notified.
"I'll be right there." Walter confirmed before hanging up.
