Paige kept fussing at herself for being so concerned for her son. Even though she knew it was a natural instinct she could never overcome. To distract herself, Paige turned on the car radio.

"-Caltech has lost power, no other building in the city has reported a loss of power. It has been theorized that this may be an attack on the school or a student prank. Attempts have been made to return power. However, none have been successful as of yet. This is John Anders signing off."

Paige was confused, how could a single building lose power? No matter, she had more pressing matters to deal with. Then, Paige remembered a sleepwalking incident Ralph had when he was 3. That afternoon, Paige picked up Ralph from headstart as he talked about the toys he was playing with that reminded him of circuits.

While he was sleeping, Ralph got up and went to the circuit breaker in the laundry room. After the lights went out while she was reading a book on how to properly raise a child by yourself, Paige's first thought was to check on Ralph. After grabbing a flashlight and walking to his room, she noticed he wasn't there. Paige began to worry, as she heard muttering though, she exhaled a sigh of relief.

When she found Ralph in the laundry room near the circuit breakers, Paige was curious as to why they were all off.

"Ralph, it's two in the morning sweetie, why are you messing with the circuit breakers? That's dangerous you know." Paige worried.

"They aren't in the proper order. It's supposed to be smallest amount of power used to largest or at least alphabetical order." Ralph answered.

"Well, we can't change anything about that, and I order you to go back to bed. It's a Friday bud so you still have school tomorrow."

"Okay." Ralph surrendered as he walked back to his room.

Wait, why were his eyes closed? He must be really sleepy, it is two in the morning after all. Paige guessed.

But Paige soon remembered that her apartment lights went out, so did the ones in the hall, and Caltech was out of power as well. And as she approached the traffic lights, she realized they were out too, so were all phone and cell towers.

Fifteen minutes later, Jeremy recieved a notification from his laptop stating that Franz Hopper sent him an email.

Meet me with the others at the factory ASAP, Xana's attacking.

Jeremy closed his laptop and sighed.

"Something the matter Einstein?" Ulrich wondered.

"Franz just messaged me, Xana's on the offensive." Jeremy informed.

"Why can't he just relax like a normal person? It'd make both his life and ours a lot easier." Odd joked.

"Because he's not normal, a person and he wants to make sure we don't have a life in any way." Yumi stated.

After reaching the factory, everyone went to the lab for a briefing.

"It appears that Xana has chosen to attack the state of California in the US. He's currently using a supercomputer at a university there called Caltech. Jeremy, you and Aelita will stay here, you three will go to Caltech and destroy the supercomputer." Franz notified.

"But why do I have to stay? I have to deactivate the tower Xana's using." Aelita queried.

"I want to keep an eye on you and make sure nothing happens to you. I'll send you in with the others when we're ready to deactivate the tower." Franz explained.

"Won't Xana have no choice but to return to this supercomputer after we deactivate the tower?" Yumi wondered.

"He's currently housing himself in another supercomputer that holds no connection to Lyoko. However, his power is connected to Lyoko. To restore the power he's lost from being such a distance away from it, Xana will have no choice but to return to the supercomputer here. There will be no need to worry about deactivating towers thanks to the program I've recently created. As soon as the program senses an activated tower, it automatically enters the code with Aelita's digital DNA." Franz elucidated.

"Okay, let's get ready and teleport to Caltech." Odd confirmed.

Franz virtualized Yumi, Ulrich and Odd directly in Sector 5. Aftwards, they teleported into the Skid and into Caltech's basement.

"What'll happen if we get caught?" Ulrich worried.

"That won't happen, everyone at the facility is too concerned about the loss of power to be troubled with the supercomputer." Franz aussured.

"Why doesn't Xana have any guards on standby?" Yumi questioned.

"He's almost entirely depleted his energy reserves, so he has no choice but to recharge."
