The group was sitting on a bench enjoying a lovely May day (it was about to be mayday) at Kadic.
"I still can't believe we've finally defeated Xana." Jeremy muttered.
"I can sleep in and eat with no interruptions!" Odd cheered.
"We don't have to sneak out during class so I can improve my grades." Ulrich remembered.
"I can finally enjoy spending time with my father." Aelita smiled.
"And I've been able to get my life back." Yumi grinned.
Suddenly, the speakers around the campus began to create a sound similar to a blaring alarm as if someone robbed a bank nearby. And as soon as it began, it ceased.
"Is it just me or did that seem like more than a prank?" Yumi wondered.
Ulrich shook his head. "It's not just you Yumi, not even Odd would have dared to do something like that."
"Yeah, nobody wants to go to the principal's office and get hauled right off to detention after doing something that crazy." Odd agreed.
"If someone did do that as a prank just now, Milly and Tamiya are sure to write about it." Yumi stated.
So, everyone enjoyed the rest of their day in peace. The next day, the others made sure to grab an issue of the Kadic News as soon as it was released. Unfortunately, it seemed there was no known culprit of yesterday's 'speaker scare'.
"It has to be Xana." Jeremy announced.
"Come on Einstein, you can't believe Xana's back just because of something like that." Odd doubted.
"I know it's him Odd. They say there's no known culprit. Nobody would be fast enough to get out of the office before Mr. Delmas caught them."
"I say we check the factory. If something's on, we'll know. Let's put it to a vote. All those in favor raise your hand."
Yumi, Ulrich and Odd raised their hands.
"And those against raise your hand."
Both Jeremy and Aelita raised theirs.
"Why don't you want to go princess?"
"The thought of my father nearly dying for nothing is, it's just too much." Aelita sighed.
"I know Aelita, but he's still alive. And we can turn to him if we need help." Jeremy assured.
"You're right, we'd better turn on the supercomputer and see what's going on." Aelita supposed.
"Whoops, sorry. I tested the speakers for Kadic Academy on accident." Ralph apologized.
"It's okay Ralph, there's a lot of speaker systems weather stations have access to. Hopefully the personal weather system we're setting up for the garage can't be hacked. If this test run proves successful, Scorpion might have enough money to at least get some new desks or chairs." Walter answered.
"There still hasn't been any word from my contact about what happened with the power outage at Caltech or the incident at Kadic Academy." Cabe ranted.
"I remember being at Caltech in the basement with their supercomputer! Some teens were there in weird costumes! One had a fan, another shot arrows, one threw orbs and the other one had katanas." Ralph remembered.
"There's no way that could've happened. One of my contacts would've told me if it did." Cabe denied.
"It was probably just a realistic dream. I get those a lot." Walter theorized.
"But I'm telling the truth." Ralph debated.
Realizing no one would believe him, Ralph decided to find someone who would. He decided that after school, he would request to be dropped off at Caltech to look at their campus and pick up an acceptance letter from their principal. If asked why he didn't obtain the acceptance letter online or through the mail he would say that their system was offline and they weren't sure of where Ralph lived.
"I can't believe after all this time we're re-activating the supercomputer." Yumi doubted.
"If Xana's still alive, we have to make sure we eliminate him once and for all this time. That way he can't threaten us or anyone else ever again." Ulrich stated.
"And we'll do it until we can't fight anymore." Odd cheered.
"We're Lyoko Warriors, it's what we do." Jeremy agreed.
"I suppose we have no other choice, we can't just let Xana live to dominate the world." Aelita added.
Aelita turned the supercomputer on. After, the team went to the lab in hopes of discovering that their worst fear was nothing more than paranoia. Unfortunately, when the supercomputer was online, their suspicions were confirmed. Xana had awoken again.
