As the night began to settle on the desert horizon, all the warriors frantically gathered whatever they could find. Spears, swords, sabers. Even a cannon or two. Those that were ill or young were to stay behind while they held up the front lines. An ideal time for everyone to put their plan into action.

Pooh was well enough to have some water and bread. However, he couldn't be allowed to eat any more honey for a while. Much to his dismay. He could only eat bread and mashed cactus. He cringed at the taste but it kept his tummy quiet. Right now, he was leaning against the cage where Whirlwind was. Honey Maple close to his side. "Whirlwind, how long will this battle last?"

Whirlwind shifted. "If this plan works, not long. In terms of fighting, the Bad Dream King is…something else."

Pooh turned to the Chimera. "How did the Bad Dream King become the Bad Dream King?"

Hurricane stretched out his neck. His wounds were improving but the shackles were causing him to bite his legs every once in a while. "No one knows. Just…appeared one day."

Pooh tilted his head in confusion. "Wait…How can that be? No one just appears out of nowhere. They always come from somewhere." Pooh tapped his head as he kept thinking and thinking. Then he said, "Was he a dragon? The two-legged kind?"

Whirlwind blinked. Suddenly, he lifted his ear. "Well…I hope you're feeling better, bear. Because we're going to punish you once we get out of here."

Pooh turned to Whirlwind in confusion. "I beg your pardon. Why on earth would you say that? Didn't you call me-"

"Shhh!" Whirlwind put a claw to his mouth. He tilted his head toward the back of the tent.

Pooh and Honey Maple followed his direction. The lighting was a little hard to tell but he saw several folds ripple. A weird jingle sound came behind it. Pooh looked back at Whirlwind and was about to ask a question. Suddenly, the room was filled with smoke. He coughed as a strange spark of green light went into the air.

A brief shadow appeared. It looked like a dragon, but it slithered away before being seen. Hurricane huffed. His wings flapped hard to clear away the smoke. Coughs were soon heard outside the tents.

Hurricane sighed. "This had better work…For all our sakes."

—-(Sometime later)-

Pooh was soon outside with Honey Maple. Queen Flamesong's shadow covered them both in a soft shade. However, it didn't ease Pooh's worries as he stared at the rising dust before them. He sat in the sand with Honey Maple.

Honey Maple played with the sand for a bit. She clawed at the golden dust. It clouded around her. She lowered her head to sniff it. She sneezed. Suddenly, a small spark of flame came out.

Pooh stared in surprise. "Oh! Honey Maple! You've just breathed fire!" He excitedly turned to Queen Flamesong. His black eyes meet up to hers. He pointed at Honey Maple. "Did you see that, Queen Flamesong?"

Queen Flamesong smiled. She laughed. She nuzzled Honey Maple. "She's finally developed her breath. Pretty soon her flying lessons will start."

Pooh started to think back to Hurricane and Whirlwind. "Can Honey Maple have Hurricane and Whirlwind teach her to fly along with Gypsy?" He fiddled with his paws as she glanced down at him. The smile was completely gone. "I…know that we still have some problems to fix, but having them as teachers might make things ok again. No one will hate each other."

Queen Flamesong sighed. Her gaze turned to the horizon. The sandstorm was starting to grow larger. Roars and caws were heard in the distance. She sighed once more, a plume of fire escaped her nostrils. "I'd admire your vision, Pooh. Put it's not that simple. I can't forgive those two for taking my child away from me. Even if their part of the plan would work…" She got up. Her tail curled up to protect Pooh and her child. "Get ready."

Pooh looked over the tail. He picked up Honey Maple. Her claws dug into the fibers of his red sweater. His feet picking up the rumbling of the ground. How he wished for it to be his tummy.

Honey Maple let out a soft whimper. Her wings wrapped around Pooh. Her tail wrapped around his ear.

Pooh gently patted her head. Suddenly, he heard some wings fluttering above them. He looked up to see Icarus flying over to them. The green Firebird was frantic, his feathers flared out. Pooh could barely see him as he set himself on the horns.

"What's going on here," Icarus screeched. His wings flapped hard. "Why aren't you attacking?!"

"We're waiting for the right moment," Queen Flamesong answered.

"B-but they're almost upon us!" Icarus flew in front of the dragon queen. "Tell me your husband has a plan."

Queen Flamesong's eyes narrowed. "Indeed. He does."

As if on cue, the sky above them rumbled as loud as the earth. Dotted on the battlefield were several black portals that opened. The dark shapes halted for a moment, save for the largest one head straight toward them. One portal soon had a jetstream of water shot out. Another had a gust of wind. Before long, animals of the Starlight Kingdom popped out of the portals. Their respective monarchs lead the way.

Pooh felt a tap on his shoulder. He soon saw Queen Flamesong's tail. Pooh picked up a net that was hidden underneath her hindleg. "What was I supposed to do again?"He tapped his head for a moment. His head tickled as Honey Maple tapped his head. His eyes lit up as his memory came back. "Oh…" He whispered. "Right." He tip-toed quietly as Icarus continued to protest against the queen.

"W-wh-wa-Where?" Icarus looked on in shock as the Monarchs clashed with the generals.

Queen Flamesong's expression turned into amusement. "What's the matter? The poisonings didn't go as planned after all. Are you just flustered at this unexpected calvary?"

Icarus gaped. "What are you-"

Without warning, Pooh jumped from Queen Flamesongs horns. He swung the net with all his might. Honey Maple jumped from his shoulder and bit Icarus' tailfeathers. They all landed hard on the ground. Pooh held him as best as he could. His arms tightened around Icarus as the bird cursed at them. He felt the heat coming out of Icarus. Not the good kind.

A spray of water rained down on them. Steam rose off of Icarus. The air filled with his angry screeching. Pooh turned just to see Lacy, Jinx and Gypsy standing over them. Lacy had a very triumphant look on her face. She looked at Jinx, offering him a paw. Jinx gave a small smile before he tapped it.

"The plan worked," Pooh smiled. "I think."

"Part of it", Jinx reminded Pooh. "Let's see if the others will do their part."

Gypsy looked at a nearby tent. A grim expression all over her face. "That is if King Moonsoul won't tear him to pieces."

—-(King Moonsoul)-

Piglet and Wisp were setting up herbal supplies along with Rabbit. They all watched King Moonsoul stare at the entrance of the tent. Despite the hot air, a heavy chill ruled on their spines. It didn't help that the battle noises outside the oasis were getting loud.

Rabbit gulped. "I hope this works." He handed Mageln a carrot as he tossed a few potatoes into a bag.

Onyx nickered. She paced around in her cage. "It better! My skin can't take any more heat than it does now." She was suddenly splashed by a dose of water. The Kelpie looked at Kanga. "Thank you."

Kanga nodded. She soon handed a bowl of vegetable stew to Hurricane. "Here, Hurricane. You're probably in need of some food after being so sick for so long."

Hurricane was silent for a moment. He sniffed the food for a moment. Then, he dunked his tongue into the broth. He suddenly munched into the stew without hesitation. Hurricane gave a massive sigh. His fangs glistened. He noticed the stares everyone was giving him. He tucked his wings tightly to his body.

Heavy wingbeats drew everyone's attention to the entrance. Echowing's large shape began to appear before them. The green dragon had a worried look on his face. "King Moonsoul? What's going on? Why aren't you at the front like we've previously discussed?"

King Moonsoul stared at him silently. His claws dug deep into the ground. His eyes turned a brighter shade of blue.

Echowing moved forward. Before he got another step, King Moonsoul's claws barely clawed his face. "What's gotten into you?! The other monarchs are trying to take down the enemy and you're just standing there with-"

"The weaklings?" King Moonsoul said. A hint of a growl echoed in his throat. "Where were you? The night Pooh was poisoned?"

Echowing tucked his wings close to his back. His tail twitched uneasily. "Wh-what are you talking about? I just told you at the trial that I was patrolling last night."

King Helios' eyes narrowed. "If so, then can you explain to me why you were able to cast a spell that sent Lacy, Gypsy and Tobias to the Hollow Realm?" He pulled something out from under his claws. It was a parchment paper that had a symbol that created a spinning serpent with wings.

Echowing's eyes widened. "Where did you get this?" His voice went from panic to an unnerving dark tone.

King Moonsoul's growl grew louder. "Lacy and Jinx found this in your quarters when I sent you on a longer patrol."

"Jinx?" Echowing's face went dark at the name. "That useless magic user!"

"Actually," Rabbit intruded on the conversation. He marched over to the two dragons despite Piglet and Wisp's warning. "He was actually very helpful. Told us a lot of magic spells that could only be used by dragons."

"Especially a spell of this magnitude." King Moonsoul crouched down. "I also know you're not doing this alone-"

"Enough talk!" Echowing roared. A soundwave rippled through the tent, forcing everyone to cover their ears. He charged at King Moonsoul. His head made an impact on the king's chest.

Rabbit was flung back from a gust of wind. He heard a scream and turned to see Mageln scream at the top of her lungs as a beam of the tent went down, ready to crush her. Rabbit ran as fast as he could. He snatched her up just in time. He held her close and lightly patted her head.

"I want daddy!" Mageln wailed. "I want Honey Maple!"

"Shh!" Rabbit cradled her. "I know! I know!" A shadow suddenly closed in on them. He soon realized that everyone was under the tent as the cloth started to swallow them. His foot snagged on something. A sharp pull dragging him away.

The same happened to Piglet, Kanga and Wisp. The entire group was soon outside the tent. They all looked at Hurricane. The chimera's claws glowed brightly as a red aura surrounded them. Hurricane's eyes darted left and right, trying to make out the mound of angry, snarling dragons fighting in the darkness. Then, he waved his claws and red ropes of energy popped out. A loud whipping noise resounded as Echowing struggled against Hurricane's magic.

Before long, Pooh and Queen Flamesong showed up. Lacy, Jinx and Gypsy in tow. Icarus was in a cage made out of pure brass which is something a Firebird can't escape easily from. They all stared in amazement at what they were seeing. "Good job Hurricane!" Pooh cheered.

Hurricane huffed hard. "Don't celebrate yet, bear. We still have a battle in the sands."

As if on cue, the sounds grew louder. An explosion of sand caused everyone to go temporarily blind. It revealed Mau and his friend fighting off General Skullasaurs. The bony monsters thrashed about. Mau landed a few feet away from them just to push Kanga out of the way.

"Everyone get out of the way!" Mau yelled.

"Where's Roo and Lumpy?" Kanga asked.

Gypsy pushed Kanga away as a palm tree began to tumble down from its roots. The madness continued as everyone scrambled away from the madness.

"Where's Tigger and Owl when you need them?!" Rabbit yelled. He clung to his Goblin charge with all his might. More sandclouds billowed around them.

"Heeeellllllooooooo!"

Hidden in the sand, a large bat soon hovered above the Skullasaurus. Faint outline of a wing could be made visible. A gleam of bronze appeared above its head. Sitting on top of its back was none other than Tigger and Eeyore.

"Let'ssss take this bone head down, Donkey boy." Tigger grinned from ear to ear.

Eeyore sighed. "Whatever you say." He muttered something so low that nothing could be heard over the din. Suddenly, a large water bubble hovered over the Skullasaurus' head. With a loud pop, the water sprayed onto the skeleton dinosaur.

General Skullasaurus only laughed. "Is that the best you could do?"

Tigger gave a triumphant smile. "Nope! Get ready Jasper!" He bounced off Jasper's back. He was now higher in the air than he was ever before. Arms outstretched. "I call on the thunder. I call on the storm cloud. Give me your lightning and I'll make you proud! Hohohooo!" On cue, ribbons of lightning shot out of his body. The sparks landed on the sand at random. It soon hit its mark on the Skullasaurus. A monstrous roar sounded before the creature collapsed onto the ground.

Tigger landed with ease as applause was met. He grinned once more. His hands folded next to his face. "Awww. Stop ya gonna make me blush." He chuckled.

Whirlwind landed by Pooh as he admired the sight. His grin grew wide."Well what do you know, he was able to do the spell a second time without zapping anyone."

Kaboom! A random lightning bolt shot between the two.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Jinx cried. In a matter of minutes, his feathers were blackened as smoke rose from him. "I-It's ok! I'll-I'll shake it off in no time!" He flopped to the ground.

Whirlwind sighed. "Welp! Still an improvement."

Queen Flamesong moved past them and went to King Moonsoul. She gently rubbed her muzzle against his. "Are you alright, dear?"

King Moonsoul's eyes were filled with sorrow and anger. "I'm so sorry. I should've been more suspicious of Echowing and Icarus. Their appearances were-"

"Don't blame yourself," Queen Flamesong spoke. Her voice grew soft with each was almost hard to hear over the ongoing battle. "We were all fooled, but we're together now."

Honey Maple cooed happily. She jumped out of Pooh's arms. She crawled up her father's back with ease. Honey Maple leaped from his horns onto both of their muzzles. Her tiny wings flared out for balance. She puffed out several sparks, earning a laugh from everyone.

A monstrous roar erupted out of the sky. One far fiercer than the Skullasaurus. The sky went dark as a large shape blotted out of the sky. Everyone looked up in horror as The Bad Dream hovered above them. His eyes burned with hatred. In his claws were Eeyore and Jasper. The two struggled under his grasp. "Mooonsoul…" He spoke in an eerie voice. "This ends now!"
