We stood in wait for our prey. Shingo kept a keen eye while I messed around with my deck and duel disk. I wanted to be the one to duel Shingo after he gets the cards. So that I could present him with an illusion that he cannot pendulum summon. I knew the cards I needed for this ad-hoc deck.

"Lets go" he said to me as he threw three darts in succession.

Those dart throws hitting a bullseye always seemed to surprise me. Then again it's easy to get me surprised.

I proceeded to walk along with him.

"Hello I'm Sawatari Shingo from class 1 and I'm really big fan of yours Yuya Sakaki and of course of your pendulum summoning as well" he said.

"I really want to give you a good stage to showcase your abilities how about 5'oclock at LDS studio's" he added.

I didn't really pay much attention to thier conversation since I already knew what was going to take place.

"Oh yeah and he also enjoys pendulum summoning too" he says pointing to me.

"Yeah I'm Raizen fro- never mind. I'm really interested in seeing you pendulum summoning once more" I said.

"Once more?" Yuzu asks.

"Yeah I was there at the arena when you battled Strong. I was rooting for ya the whole time" I replied.

"Haha Haha" Yuya laughed while rubbing his head.

"Well then let's make our way to LDS" Shingo said leading the way.

I began to follow him and so did the others.

-LDS duel school

As Yuya and his buddies were looking around and doing their thing Shingo's plan was about to be put into motion. This was the first time I had been here so I too was looking around.

The school definitely looked the part of being the best. If I didn't know how to duel I know I'd definitely enroll here. I looked around for sora but I didn't see him anywhere.

'He's probably just lurking around here somewhere'

"Stop daydreaming there, it's about time we begin" Shingo chided me.

"I'm ready" I said as we left for LDS's arena.

Shingo's three lackeys appeared after which he asked for Yuya's cards. Yuya gave him the cards with no resistance and he pocketed them.

"Now take his friend's hostage" Shingo ordered.

As his lackeys appeared to go for them I jumped in the fray preventing them from getting Yuzu and the kids who scattered back.

"What do you think you're doing?" Shingo said in anger.

"Its nothing personal I'm just against stealing and violence" I said.

"Gaggh" I turned back to see the three lackeys managed to capture Yuya along with the children. Yuzu had managed to avoid them.

"You've ticked me off Raizen it's time I show you the power of the strongest duelist" he said.

"What's happening?" Yuzu asked me. She looked uncertain whether I was an ally or an enemy.

"I had overhead them planning to take Yuya's pendulum cards so I wanted to stop them but I might have messed up. It's fine though I'll take care of this" I said as my duel disk extended.

"Let me duel hi-""No" I interrupted her.

"I don't feel as if you'll be able to deal with pendulum summoning" I added.

"Oh and you will?" she asked suspiciously.

"As a matter of fact yes" I said stepping forward.

'I really didn't want the kids to get involved. Everything is still under control or I hope it is'

"Lets go Shingo I'm ready" I said.

"I activate the action Field spell Prison tower of darkness" Shingo said.

I started to ascend as the towers grew in size. Yuya,tatsuya,ayu and fuyushiro were hanging on for dear life.

'Gotta make this quick'

"Duelists locked in battle!" the first lackey says.

"Kicking the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters!" the second goes.

"They storm through this field! Behold! This is the newest and greatest evolution of Dueling!" the third goes.

"ACTION DUEL!" I and Shingo said.

Duel-Begin

We draw our 5 cards.

"The First turn is mine" Shingo said.

"Fine then go on" I said.

Turn 1

"I summon machine lord Ur(1600/1500) and I equip it with the spell machine conversion factory which increases it's attack and defense points by 300 points"

Machine lord Ur(1900/1800)

He got on top of his monster.

"I set one spell or trap cards and end my turn" he said placing a card face down.

"Pretty lackluster turn I would say" I said.

"Of course a simple minded fool like you wouldn't understand my genius like moves" he said.

"Well then let this fool show you his strategies. Draw!"

Turn 2

'Hmm'

"I set a monster and end my turn"I say.

"That's it?" he said taunting.

"Yup" I replied.

"Well onto my turn then, Draw!" he said.

Turn 3

"I activate my continuous spell card Dangerous Machine Type-6 to activate it's effect I have to roll a die"-a dice appears over the card-"there" he says as the dice lands on 5 .

"Since it landed on 5 I get to destroy your set monster" he said as robotic arms came forth and grabbed the card shattering it.

"When Mermail abysslinde(1500/1200) is destroyed I get to special summon another mermail monster from my deck I summon mermail abysspike(1600/800) in defense mode. I activate mermail abysspike's effect by discarding my prior of the ice barrier and adding warlock of the ice barrier to my hand" I say as I discard prior and add warlock then shuffle my deck.

"I summon Machine king prototype(1600/1500) its effect allows it to gain 100 attack and defense for each machine type except itself" he said.

Machine king prototype(1700/1600)

"Machine Lord Ur attack Mermail Abysspike" he orders as his machine shoots out bullets and destroys by abysspike.

"Now Machine king prototype direct attack" he said.

I tried to reach for an action card but it was too late as I missed as his monsters attack hit me making me taste dirt.

"Guh" I just managed to miss falling down the tower. I focused and stood up.

"Why wouldn't he attack your abysspike with his weaker monster so that he could deal more damage?" Yuzu who was standing besides me questioned.

"Because that would be stupid. My Machine lord Ur has an effect that prevents it from dealing battle damage to my opponent. It doesn't feel like a drawback anyway since I'm almost about to win. I end my turn" he said.

"Heh I didn't think an action duel would be so much more different than a normal duel" I said.

"Wait this is your first time? What gave you the unshakeable confidence that you would win" Yuzu asked seemingly pissed.

"I'm not sure, but I know I can do this, Draw!" I said as a veil of water appeared as I drew.

"I activate Medallion of the ice barrier to add one Ice barrier monnster to my hand the one I'm choosing is medium of the ice barrier" I say as I add the card to my hand then shuffle my deck.

"I now activate Medium of the Ice barrier's effect. If my opponent controls 4 or more cards than I do I can special summon her. I control 0 cards while you control 4 so she's now on the field"

"I now summon defender of the Ice barrier" I said.

Defender of the ice barrier(400/1600)

"Now Medium of the Ice barrier attack Machine king prototype" I say.

"Too bad I activate the action spell evasion which negates your Medium of the ice barrier's attack" Shingo says.

"Che I end my turn" I say.

"Guess it's time to finish this, Draw!" he says.

Turn 5

"The effect of dangerous machine type 6 activates again"-the dice rolls once again-"it landed on a 4 so you get to draw a card" he said slightly angry.

"But I seem to possess the cards I need" Shingo said showing stargazer and timegazer magician.

"He's going to pendulum summon" Yuya said.
