But nothing seems to happen. The two pendulum cards seemed to display an error message when he activated them.

"Why isn't it working?" Shingo said in rage.

Everybody else also seemed to be confused by these strange events except for me.

"Mighty dragon of the tundra's shatter your opponent's with your ice cold gaze. I synchro summon Gungnir Dragon of the ice barrier" I say placing the card.

"Even with those two monsters I should still be able to survive" Shingo said.

"Not really I activate Gungnir of the Ice barrier's effect by discarding two cards I destroy your two monsters-" I say as I discard an action card then jump on gungnir and set off for another action card discarding it.

I was about to declare the battle phase but things felt lackluster I would say. I looked through my 4 cards and made up my mind.

'I guess I'll do this'

"From my hand I activate the spell card exchange this allows me to pick 2 cards of yours and you get to do the same. But we have to pick them at random. So I pick the two cards you're holding right now" I say as he reveals stargazer and timegazer magician.

"Aghh..fine I pick the one on the left and the one on the right" he said as I revealed atlantean dragoons and general gantala.

Our cards switched as I got timegazer and stargazer magician and he my dragoon and gantala.

"Great we got the cards back now you can end the duel" Yuzu said.

"No now the real fun begins" I say as a small smile makes it's way to my face.

"I use the scale 1 stargazer magician and scale 8 timegazer magician to set the pendulum scale" I activate the cards as they appear on my pendulum zone.

"No way" Yuya says from up on the tower.

"Pendulum " Yuzu said in shock.

"No wait I surrender please stop" Shingo said.

"Now I can summon monsters from level 2 to level 7"

My three monsters faced shingo menacingly. I jump on Tidal and go get yuya down from the tower he was at.

"It's not over yet I activate the action spell damage banish with this the battle damage I take is reduced to ze-""Sorry but I activate the action card no action negating your cards effect" I interrupt Shingo as he tries to use the action spell he just picked up by using mine.

Shingo rushes for another action card.

"I activate the action spell miracle with this your attack is negated-""That won't work my medium of the ice barrier's effect prevent's you from using more than one spell per turn" I interrupt shingo once more as my Dragon delivers the final attack.

"Gahhh" Shingo screeched as he was pushed back.

"Guess I win" I say as the stadium starts shifting back to normal.

"And here are your cards" I say as I hand the pendulum cards to Yuya.

"Thanks for the help I don't think I could've handled this alone" Yuya said with a smile.

"It's sort of my fault I shouldn't have just rushed into tagging along with those delinquents. Forgive me" I said bowing my head.

"Well sure you did help save yuya after all. I wish I could have helped" Zuzu said with a sour look on her face.

"Im sure you'll get your chance to shine Yuzu and sorry for using the cards to pendulum summon" I said bowing again.

"That's fine atleast I got my cards should get going wanna come to my place for dinner. I promise it will be good" Yuya said.

"Where do you think you guys are going? We aren't gonna let you get away with those pendulum cards" Shingo said as he and his lackeys started walking towards us with thier fists at the ready.

I could surely take on one of them two of them atmost.

As I look up a dash of blue appears in my line of sight as sora easily beats up shingo and his lackeys.

When our eyes meet he nods for some reason as he walks to the five of us.

"You there we need to talk" Sora says gesturing to me.

He seemed unlike the normal sora somehow more serious?

Seeing the look on his face I agreed. He probably wanted me to teach him how to pendulum summon just like how he asked yuya in cannon.

"..Hello are you listening?" Sora asked.

"Yes I am err I'm not very well versed in pendulum summoning you'll have to ask him to teach you" I said quickly hoping he would leave me alone.

"Sure I'll go talk to him" Sora said leaving.

Though I am feeling a bit winded up from that duel might as well take yuya's offer. I might be remembering wrong but sora was sent here to spy on yuya right.

"I don't want to take on any apprentices" yuya said as he rushed away.

I noticed natsume a few steps away. When I waved to her she just turned back and left.
