"Awaken from your frozen cage, Ultimate Ice dragon! Trishula dragon of the Ice barrier!"

The area surrounding began to freeze, beginning from the ground to the tops of all the nearby buildings.

A statue of ice shattered as a three headed dragon with navy blue and white colouration landed on the ground and roared.

"Haah even I have trouble controlling this dragon" I said as mist formed around my words.

"It's presence is overwhelming but it's attack points aren't what I'd expect from a level 9. This isn't a monster that I can't deal with"

"Well it would seem that way since I haven't activated it's effect yet. When Trishula is synchro summoned I get to banish three cards. One from the field, from your hand and your graveyard.I banish Frightfur kraken, edge imp tomahawk and a random card from your hand"

Kraken freezes and shatters as it is banished with the other cards.

"I now summon Mermail Abysslinde, and now I attack your fluffal leo with my trishula"

Fluffal leo froze solid and shattered into pieces after it was hit by Trishula's ice beam.

"Go Abysslinde continue the assault"

Abysslinde sent a wave of water towards Sora.

Sora:2900-1500=1400LP

Sora shivered as he was doused by water, the temperatures around did him no good.

"With that I end my turn try to come back from that"

"This isn't over Raizen, Draw!"

Turn 4

"I activate the graveyard effect of Frightfur reborn I had discarded earlier, using its effect I return the banished frightfur kraken back to the graveyard"

"What are you planning?" I ask.

"You showed me your ace so I'll show you mine. Next I activate the effect of frightfur sanctuary by discarding a card from my hand and discarding two frightfur monsters from my extra deck to the graveyard all fusion monsters I control are treated as frightfur monsters"

"You don't have any monsters though?" I said.

"I know but that's not the reason I used frightfur sanctuary. All those frightfurs in my graveyard they'll become something truly terrifying"

"Now I activate frightfur fusion from my hand to fuse Frightfur kraken, Frightfur tiger and frightfur wolf.Unusual plaything possessed by demons! Destroy and root out the plebeians who dare rebel against you! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth and appear, chimeric fusion of all toys! Frightfur Chimera!"

Broken toys collided together until they formed a sinister amalgamation. A three headed chimera made of different animal toys.

The three heads of Chimera battled with the three heads of trishula with the former taking the victory.

"Didn't think you'd manage to come back from that" I said.

"Too bad I proved you wrong, monsters destroyed by Chimera are summoned on my side with their attack halved"

"Also Chimera gets a boost of 300 attack points for every monster of yours I have under my control"

"My turn I draw!" I said.

Turn 5

"I change my abysslinde to defense mode and set a card. I end my turn"

"Seems like you're done for, without your dragon I don't see this changing. Draw!" Sora said.

Turn 6

"I change Trishula to attack mode. Go Trishula destroy abysslinde"

Trishula shot out a beam of ice which froze abysslinde and destroyed her.

"You're done for-"

"Abysslinde's effect allows me to summon another mermail so I special summon mermail abyssgunde in defense mode"

"I activate my trap card, Cornfused. This negates your chimeras effect"

"Fine I didn't need that weakling anyway. Your field is basically empty and I'm sure you'll be done next turn.I attack Mermail Abyssgunde with Frightfur Chimera! Chimeric rage!"

Chimera tears up Abyssgunde with its claws and the card shatters."

"Go on draw"

"I don't need you to tell me that. Draw!" I said.

Turn 7

"It's time for my comeback and I'm damn sure you won't be coming back from this one. I activate my trap card:Compulsory evacuation device which allows me to return a monster back to its respective hand, I choose trishula so it heads backs to my extra deck"

"Hah you should have bounced my chimera back it doesn't seem like you're that bright of a duelist' Sora said.

"Well you're not wrong that bouncing your chimera would have been the safest choice. But I'm not playing safe. I activate the effect of fishborg archer. By discarding a water monster I special summon it from the grave"

"Then I activate Fishborg planters effect from the grave," I said as I discarded deep sea diva from the top of my deck.

"And special summon it"

"Finally I summon Mermail abysspike"

"I think you know what comes next. I tune my level 3 Fishborg archer with my level 2 Fishborg planter and my level 4 Mermail from your frozen cage, Ultimate Ice dragon! Trishula dragon of the Ice barrier!.

"Trishula's effect causes me to banish your last remaining monster and the only remaining card in your hand and a card from your graveyard"

"Finish it Trishula, Absolute Zero!" I ordered.

Trishul heads into the sky and shoots out a beam that freezes Sora solid which shatters after a few seconds.

As I began to head towards Sora his body began to get transparent. He looked feverish. Before I could catch up to him, he disappeared.

'I should've known that he wouldn't keep his promise'

But this was unexpected. I didn't think I actually would be able to defeat him.

As I went to turn off my dual disk I got an error message and Trishula's card flew away from my duel disk and entered the Hologram of Trishula in the air.

The air around me began to get even colder as I looked to the sky where Trishula seemed to be shooting out ice beams and freezing buildings that were previously unaffected.

I was starting to have trouble breathing so I began to distance myself from it.

"Raizen, what the hell happened here?There was a spike of synchro and fusion energy so I rushed here" Reiji asked as he ran up to me.

"I was in a battle with Sora the duelist from the fusion dimension. I managed to defeat him but he escaped and my monster doesn't seem to want to end the duel" I said pointing to Trishula.

"So that dragon is yours then. The entire city is experiencing plummeting temperatures and your dragon seems to be the source of it"

"I've tried to turn off my duel disk but it doesn't seem to do anything. Can you duel it?" I ask.

"No my duel disk isn't recognising it as an opponent"

I could see Yuto and Shun in the distance.

"Are you okay Raizen?" Shun said as he took a look at Trishula in the sky.

"Yeah I'm fine we're trying to get my runaway dragon under control but it doesn't seem like we can challenge it" I said.

Shun looked at his duel disk with no avail.

"It's working" Yuto said as his duel disk lit up.

Trishula came down from the sky in an arc aiming for us.

"Get ready Yuto, that dragon is heading straight for us" Shun said.

"I draw. I summon the phantom knights of cloven helm" Yuto said.

"I activate xyz reception to special summon the phantom knights of fragile armor but it's effects are negated and its attack and defense are set to zero"

"Now using the two level 4 monsters on my field I build the overlay unit! From the pitch-black darkness. Rise up against the foolish oppression, Fang of Rebellion! Descend now! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"

Dark rebellion appeared with black miasma surrounding it and flew straight into Trishula thus intercepting its attack and knocking it back.

The two dragons fought in the air as they began destroying the surrounding structures in the wake of their battle.

"Shouldn't we be trying to help the people around evacuate?" Shun asked.

"No need, I've already evacuated most of the people present in the area nearby. Plus if we don't stop this beast the whole city may go below zero degrees. Maybe even beyond the city"

The dragons continue their assault but it's clear that Dark rebellion seems to be on the defense as Trishula continuously freezes it's attacks.

"This is bad, Dark rebellion doesn't seem capable of handling this battle for too long"

I look in the distance to see a crowd forming though at the front of it with Yuya approaching us.

Seeing dark rebellion in the sky I theorized that maybe Yuya might be able to lend some help.

As he reached us I ran up to him.

"Yuya see if your duel disk manages to lock on to Trishula" I said as I began messing with Yuya's duel disk.

"Hey what are you doing?" Yuya asked, confused.

"You're here to help right? I'm pretty sure Reiji will explain things later for now Yuto needs your help" I said as I pushed him forward after locking his duel disk on Trishula.

Yuya looked surprised when he saw Yuto but he brushed it off and turned to face Trishula.

"I draw! Using Xiangke and Xiangshen magicians I set the pendulum scales. Appear! Wondrous and beautiful dichromatic eyes! Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

Odd eyes rushed forward as Dark Rebellion threw Trishula towards the ground as it got a lucky hit. Odd eyes went ham on trishula with a spiral flame strike warming the surrounding area a bit.

With it having no chance to retaliate Trishula was stuck not being able to escape and was taking major damage. It almost seemed over but the two dragons turned away from Trishula and faced each other.

As I looked over to Yuto and Yuya I could see their eyes glowing.

This was bad.

They left Trishula alone who seemed to be resting and began to focus on each other.

"Yuto focus on the other dragon," Shun said as he tried to shake Yuto out of his trance.

"Yuya get it together" I said as I tried to shake Yuya.

In the meantime Dark rebellion and Odd eyes kept colliding and destroying the before frozen building which had now begun to warm up. The temperature all around seemed to be reaching normalcy.

Though they needed to get to Trishula before it recovered.

As the dragons fought more the surroundings almost became bereft of any ice until two beams of ice froze the dragons.

"Huh" "Huh" Yuto and Yuya said as they seemingly exited their trance.

But both their dragons were frozen in place and didn't seem to move.

The sky began to darken more so than it had already been and snow began to fall.

"Odd eyes"

"Dark rebellion"

The two of them screamed to their dragons but the dragons didn't budge.

"Is this really the end?" Reiji said as he looked around to see that the crowd had dispersed.

Trishula stood unchallenged as it descended a few feet before us.

"It's not over yet. Yuto you need to build the overlay unit with Dark rebellion and Odd eyes" I said.

"XYZ summon with odd eyes? You do know that my Dark rebellion doesn't have any levels-"

"Then I'll give it some levels I understand Raizen," Yuya said, interrupting Yuto.

Yuya raised his hand.

"I activate the pendulum effect of Xiangke magician and grant Dark Rebellion XYZ dragon a level equal to its rank"

"Then I activate the pendulum effect of Xiangsheng magician to make its level equal to Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon"

"They have the same level," Shun said.

"Let's go Yuto, with my level 7 Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon-" Yuya said.

"And my Level 7 Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon-" Yuto said.

"We build the overlay unit" They said together.

The surroundings changed as the two frozen dragons melded into energy constructs and disappeared into the overlay unit.

"Dragon of dual coloured eyes-" Yuya said.

"Unleash the black imperial wrath, and eradicate all opposing enemies-" Yuto said.

"XYZ summon! Come forth! Rank 7 The Supreme King Black Dragon- Odd eyes Rebellion Dragon" They said together.

Odd eyes rebellion dragon rose to the sky and shot a purple beam at Trishula which hit it straight on. As the smoke cleared from the attack Trishula shot an ice beam at Odd eyes Rebellion Dragon but missed.

They then took to the skies but Trishula couldn't keep up with Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon's speed and ended up being launched to the ground.

As Trishula tried to shake off it's damage Odd eyes Rebellion Dragon prepared another beam this time charging it for a while before launching it towards Trishula who couldn't move out of the way

As the dust cleared the hologram disappeared and my card was left on the ground. I ran up to it and nabbed it and placed it in a separate deck that I used for theorycrafting.

The hologram of Odd eyes Rebellion Dragon also disappeared and the night sky cleared up. And the temperatures began to stabilize.

"Seems like we managed to stop this somehow. I'd advise you from using that card again Raizen" Reiji said

"Yes I understand, Will the city be fine?" I asked.

"Things should go back to normal. We spread information that a new type of solid vision had caused these problems so people should forget this incident in some time. So you said that the fusion duelist escaped?"

"Yeah it seems Sora was pulled back to the fusion dimension-" I said.

"You said you'd explain things to me after the battle was over right so get on with it. So what happened with Sora?" Yuya asked.

"The gist is that Sora is a spy sent from the fusion dimension, but I'm sure you want to hear more than just that. Reiji?" I said as I looked towards him.

"Yeah let's finish this explanation at the LDS institute, everyone follow me"
