"Battle Phase! I activate Swan's effect by sending Tenki to the graveyard thus reducing the 100 attack boost of all monster's I control and destroying your Mermail Abyssnereia"
My Abyssnereia was surrounded by fire and subsequently destroyed.
"When abyssnereia is destroyed I get to draw a card and discard it" I said.
'Please be a monster'
I drew.
It was a spell card.
"I discard whitefish salvage to the graveyard" I said as I began searching around for action cards.
"Then I'll attack you with Swan"
A flaming spear destroyed my Dolphin.
"By banishing abyssnereia I revive my Dolphin in defense position"
"Next Lion Emperor takes a swing" she said
A blade cut down my Dolphin
"My dolphin returns to the field once more in defense position by banishing abysslung"
With all the constant destruction I had no time to search for any action cards.
"And finally I attack you with Horse Prince"
A flaming horse tackled and destroyed my dolphin.
"I banish the last water monster in my graveyard Mermail Abyssgaios to bring out my dolphin"
I said as my dolphin returned with a white aura.
"You somehow managed to survive, but now since your graveyard's empty you can't revive your Dolphin any more. It's over" she said preemptively declaring her win.
The crowd had become tense with chatter, unsure what was going to happen next.
"It's over when I say it is, draw!" I said.
'Finally' I thought as I looked at the card in my hand
My expression loosened up as I turned to her.
Turn 11
"Lucky draw? Well it won't matter much really you won't be able to stall for more time" she said
"I don't need to stall anymore, I summon beautunaful princess," I said.
"A level 1 monster, what is Raizen thinking?" Nico said.
"Are you declaring your surrender?" Natsume asked.
"Far from it. When my White Aura Dolphin is special summoned from the graveyard by its own effect it becomes a tuner"
I clench my fist.
"I tune my level 6 White Aura Dolphin with my level 1 Beautunaful princess. Waves of purity lend me your strength. Synchro Summon! Appear Level 7 White Aura Monoceros"
White Aura Monoceros Level 7

"That's a stronger monster than your White Aura Dolphin for sure but it's attack is still not enough plus at least your Dolphin could halve my attack" she said
"Well this monster has an effect of its own which allows me to special summon a fish monster from my grave but it can't attack this turn. I special summon Beautunaful princess"
Beautunaful princess materialized on the field.
"Is that all I was expecting more than that" she taunted.
"I'm not done yet when I special summon Beautunaful princess. I can special summon a fish monster from my deck by banishing it. Come to the field fishborg launcher"
"And now I tune my level 1 fishborg launcher with my level 7 White aura waves of destruction, bestial testament of the end, demolish my opposition and grant me victory! Synchro Summon! Appear Level-8 White Aura Whale!"

"Your new monster is strong but my Swan still exceeds it in attack"
"That's too bad since your swan won't exist for much longer, I activate White Aura Whale's Wave!"
White Aura Whale thrashed around as a giant wave appeared behind it.
"When it's synchro summoned I get to destroy all attack position monsters so say goodbye to Horse prince, Lion emperor and swan"
The giant wave collapsed into the three monsters I named and dragged them to the grave.
"Now it's over. Battle Phase! White Aura Whale attacks you directly!" I said as Natsume began running around in search of an action card.
"I activate the action spell evasion. By targeting your monster I can negate its attack and survive for another turn" she said.
"I said it's over, you won't be surviving for another turn. White Aura Whale gets to make two attacks per battle phase. Go White Aura Whale direct attack Torrential slam!"
The attack hit Natsume who was caught off guard.

I wiped the sweat off my forehead as I raised my hands in victory.
"Damn it! I lost again" Natsume said in frustration.
"Hey it was a tough fight it could have gone either way" I said
"Yeah I guess. But this doesn't mean you're off the hook. I'll take you down one of these days" she said.
"Sure, let's shake on that," I said, extending my hand forward.
She grabbed my hand and tugged on it with a bit more force than necessary for a handshake.
The crowd cheered in the background.
"Raizen's cool dueling skills managed to snuff out Natsume's burning fighting spirit, letting him move on to the next round. Though Natsume has lost she has managed to win the respect of the crowd with her camriardership. Everyone give a big hand to these two contestants" Nico said
The crowd burst into even louder cheers.
I and Natsume waved at the crowd until I got off the stage

When I got back to my seat I had been swarmed by people who complimented me on my duel. The folk from Yuusho also came up to me and we spoke for a bit.
After the commotion calmed down I went back to eating popcorn and watching the other matches go down.
I sighed.
"Not even a single fangirl, that sucks. I thought I'd have at least a decent sized fanclub from all the duels I had been in" I said out loud.
"Aren't you glad that so many people spoke so highly of you?" Natsume, who was beside me, asked.
"Well they were a bunch of old farts and kids, I guess I am glad its just that it didn't meet my expectations y'know" I said as I sipped my drink.
"Why would you even want a fanclub? Wouldn't that be annoying?" she said
"You speak as if you have one" I said
"Oh, but I do have one"
"A fan club? Seriously?"
"Yep, so it would be better if you didn't have to deal with the stress of having one"
"Is that why you're such an intense person?"
"I've always been this way. Plus I'm being calm now"
We both turned to watch the ongoing duel as a silence enveloped our conversation.
"Hey" she said
"Yes?" I replied
"I know you said that I needed to win the duel to find out why you went to Lds but… I still want to know" she said
I sighed and turned to her.
"It's fine. It's probably not going to involve you anyway plus I've already let it slip to yuya and yuzu" I said
"Wait, they know? Why didn't they tell anyone else at Yuusho about it?"
"Because the truth seems much more like fiction than reality well that's half the reason"
"What's the other half?"
"We have enemies. Do you still want to know?"
"Yes even more so if you or the people I care for get hurt"
'She's a strange person, then again that's not a bad thing'
"Okay then let's find a place away from the others" I said as we went and found some seats in the back.
….
"So you're not from this dimension like sora who had disappeared and this fusion dimension professor is after you and your friends. Am I on point?" she asked
"Yeah, that seems like an okay summarization of the events that occurred. Though there's a bit more but that's unnecessary" I said as I moved to stand up.
"Where are you headed?" she asked.
"Reiji just messaged me to meet up so I'll be heading out. I don't need to say this but keep this information to yourself. And take care things are going to be getting dangerous soon" I said.
"Yeah you too," she replied.
I grab a taxi then head to LDS.
Once I reached there I took the elevator until I reached Reiji's office. The doors opened and I stepped in to see Serena's face on the screen with Shun and Reiji talking amongst themselves.
"Another Yuzu clone?" I said making my existence known.
"It appears so, that's why I called you here" Reiji said as he turned to me.
"From what information we've gathered she seems to be from the fusion dimension"
"So have you prepared any countermeasures?" I asked.
"Yes we'll need to act soon. That's why I'll need you two to act since you both managed to beat one of academia's fusion duelist's, a feat that seems difficult for most duelist in this tournament" He said
"For now Shun will spend the next few days scouting around the city for any suspicious activity, Raizen you and I will monitor the situation from back here and if needed will provide reinforcements" he ended.
"That's fine with me I'd rather be in the fray, I'll head out then" Shun said as he walked out after Reiji nodded.
"So what should I do now that I'm here?" I asked as I took a seat.
"You could try solving some of the duel puzzles on the computer beside you. Though while we do that I'd like to talk" He said taking a seat opposite from me.
"That's fine. What did you want to talk about?" I asked as I loaded up a puzzle.
"Well I've used the data from duels you've had to create some pendulum cards for you to 'll be ready pretty soon" he said
"Oh that's good to hear" I said.
"Also there's this" he said as he handed me a card.
"Trishula,dragon of icy imprisonment" I said reading the card.
"Yeah, using the scanned data I was able to produce this card, while it's not as powerful as trishula it is more versatile and easier to bring out," he said.
" Though why wait for Shun to leave to give me this?" I asked
"Take a look at it again"
I looked at the card again, noticing its purple border.
"A fusion monster. Yeah I understand" I said
"Now you too can have the honour of being able to use all three summoning styles, it might make things interesting at the tournament" he said
"So was that all?" I asked.
"Yeah you can continue doing duel puzzles or head out to the city, I'll inform you either way on what information we gain" he said.
"I'd like to stay here and assist you if that's okay?" I asked.
"Fine Nakajima can help set you up on how to access the city's cameras. I'll just need you to periodically check on the areas he tells you about"
I nodded my head in affirmation leaving Reiji to focus on some other task while Nakajima helped with getting used to the system.

For the next few days I stayed at Lds helping them with monitoring. Though I knew today was Yuzu's tournament match.
If things went as they did in canon we should be able to meet up with her. Hokuto was taken out so next on the list would be Yuu sakuragi.
His match had just begun-
"There she is!" Reiji said, pulling my attention to the screen.
"Looking from the pattern of attacks it seems she's targeting XYZ users, the closest XYZ duelist from LDS present is Yuu" Nakajima said.
"Come on Raizen, we're heading out to meet this mysterious duelist," Reiji said.
"Shouldn't we inform Shun about this?" I asked
"No this girl shares the same face as his sister so I don't really know whether he'll be able to duel at his best, you however don't seem to have the same chains binding you" he said.
"Fine let's head out" I said
Nakajima drove us out to the tournament and we quickly made our way towards where we last spotted Yuu near the second stadium.
We managed to catch sight of Serena and Barrett who were talking to Yuu and Reiji stepped in between them.
"Yuu you can head back now, congratulations on the victory. But we two have some business with your guests" Reiji said, turning to Yuu.
Yuu looked at Reiji and then me confused but then spoke,
"Fine I'll be leaving" he said then walked away leaving us to stare at the two opposing fusion duelists.
"It's the duelist who escaped Barrett," Serena said as she pointed at me.
