Back at the stadium the crowd watched as Raizen swiftly took out his two opponents. They burst into cheers as they saw him perform multiple summoning methods one after the other.
Lds cheered on for their school's representative with Yaiba being at the forefront shouting out to get Isao.
The students from Yusho duel school also joined in the cheering as Yuzu's father told them not to cheer for a competitor but ended up cheering for Raizen along with the kids anyway.
Yuya looked on to the match as he wished he had been there battling in the tournament.
Deciding to take a break he decided to step away and at that moment he was approached by a Lds member informing him that Reiji called for him.
Raizen Pov
"You took the first turn before so I'm gonna take it now, I draw" Isao said

"I activate the effect of acorno in my hand, by discarding a card I special summon it to the field. Though it won't be there for long since I'll be tributing it to summon Hayate the Soaring Star"

"My Final Dragon the frozen serpentine beast heed my call and appear before me. Synchro Summon! Appear Lvl 6 Brionac, Dragon of the Ice barrier"

I jump onto Brionac as it lifts off into the sky leaving Isao no way to prevent me from gaining any action cards.
And after a few seconds of looking around I found one.
"I activate Brionac's effect by discarding a card I can return a monster you control back to your hand, I discard the action spell I just picked up to send Hayate back to your hand, Frozen Tribulation!" I said
Brionac flapped its wings quickly sending a blizzard towards Hayate who was blown back into Isao's hand. Isao himself was blown back and knocked to the ground.
"Battle phase! Brionac attacks you directly, Serpentine Hail!"
Before Isao managed to get up Brionac swooped in and got it's attack in.
"Gah" Isao muttered

"You think you're ahead but I'll show you not to underestimate me, draw!" he shouted as he snatched his card from his deck

"I activate the spell card:Polymerization to fuse Hayate with Tenma from my hand" he said
The two cards flew out of his hand and melded together.
"O stars racing through the heavens, soaring above the earth, now become one, and shine as the star of the eternal conqueror! Fusion Summon! Come! Idaten the Conqueror Victory Star!"

I jump off of Brionac's back and pick up an action card.
"I activate the action spell: Position flip, it's effect makes all the monsters I control to change battle positions. So now Brionac gets shifted to defense position"
I landed safely on the ground while Brionac fell victim to Idaten's attack and shattered into a million pieces falling down like hail.
"And with that my life points are safe"
"Gah I end my turn"
"You might have a monster with Victory in its name but Victory isn't in your stars today, let me show you. Draw!"

"I activate the effect of Mermail Abyssteus and discard Fishborg launcher to the grave to special summon it to the field"

A wave collided into Idaten destroying it.
"And with that the match is mine-" I stopped myself
As I went to declare Battle Phase I noticed the surrounding area had become unnaturally loud. Plus I could hear the sound of boots hitting the ground.
Quick steps, with an odd sense of tension appeared to be coming towards us.
As I turned to the source of the sound I found them.
They were here-Academia's soldiers.
"That's him," The soldiers said as they began walking towards me.
I turned to face them.
"What are you quitting the duel right now, am I too weak to even be given the finishing blow" Isao said, anger bubbling in his words.
"Not now we have guests, I surrender I have better things to worry about" I said as my turn ended
Three duel academy soldiers stepped forward and took a penalty of 2000 LP as they joined into the duel.
"The other boy is low on life points let's take him out first" The first soldier said as he drew his card
1st Soldier's Turn
"I summon ancient gear knight"

"And now I attack you directly" The soldier said as his monster ran towards Isao
"I activate the action spell:Evasion negating your attack" Isao said as he picked up an action card
"Who are these people?" he asked me
"They are dangerous people and if you lose to them in a duel you're in for a bad time" I said
"It's my turn" the second soldier drew
2nd Soldier's turn
"I summon Ancient gear soldier"

"Battle Phase! Attack him Ancient Gear soldier" he said as they pointed to Isao
Isao dived in for another action card, barely getting it in time.
"I activate another Evasion from my hand-"
"Sorry but thanks to Ancient Gear soldiers effect you can't activate spell or trap cards when it makes an attack. Destroy him ancient gear soldier" The academia soldier shouted
Ancient Gear soldier shot a number of bullets at Isao.

"Gahh" Isao screamed as he was pushed back though I managed to stop him from falling with White Aura Whale as we both took to the skies
"Are you okay" I asked
"Barely. What's going on, why are these attacks causing actual damage?" Isao asked
"It's a long story I'm sure we'll get to it some other time, but for now"- I turned towards the last academia soldier- "we have some people to deal with"
"It's my turn, I draw!" The third soldier said

"I summon Ancient gear frame"

"Stop right there I activate the action spell:Forced Fight. This card forces all attack position monsters regardless of whether they can or cannot attack to attack my White Aura Whale" I said as the monsters faced my White Aura Whale
"That's fine we should be able to last another turn-"
"I'm not yet done. I activate the quick play spell:Concentrating current and target White Aura Whale granting it attack points equal to its defense, Finish this torrential slam" I said as I flipped over one of my set cards

All three gear monsters were slammed into and destroyed by White aura whale knocking out the three duel academy soldiers.
I let White Aura whale come to the ground and let Isao off as I walked over to the three soldiers.
"You should probably head back to the city otherwise you might end up in a pretty bad situation" I said as he got off
"Its fine I can take care of those soldiers easily" Isao said with some anger
"It's your funeral dude, I'm going to head out now so stay safe" I said as I jumped onto my monster and took to the skies.
From an aerial vantage point I could see most of the city and the duel's taking place. I could see that Academia soldiers were starting to shuffle in.
The fighting had begun and I could see a lot of lights glowing from the ice area, probably shun and sora fighting.
As I looked around I caught sight of Yuya and Shingo arguing and I descended down to meet them.
"Did Reiji send you guys here?" I asked
The two turned to me slightly surprised.
"Yes, he said that I am going to be part of his team of Lancers, well this tomato head is included too" Shingo said with pride though he whispering the last part
"I see. Hop on then let's go and intercept Sora" I said as the two of them held on to my whale and we ascended into the sky
"Intercept Sora? He's back?" Yuya asked determination in his eyes
"Yes and he's dueling Shun right now" I said
Yuya quieted down as he began to think to himself.
"Don't worry you guys I'll take care of this" Shingo said as he wrapped a arm around the two of us
We didn't respond leading to an awkward silence and him retracting his hands.
In a few minutes we reached the site of their duel and I dropped the two of them off.
"You aren't coming?" Yuya asked
"No, I have an opponent waiting for me" I said as I left back into the air
A lot of time had passed if there was any chance of him arriving it would be right now.
As I began to search I felt a chilling aura and saw Yuri's dragon following him.
Starving Venom Fusion Dragon I faced it once before but I have no idea what was the result of that fight.
'Well I have no time to think really'
"Come on White Aura Whale head straight for the guy with an evil smirk" I said
White Aura whale began approaching the ground at tremendous speeds as it collided a few feet before Yuri sent him back and created a cloud of smoke.
I looked around until I noticed Yuzu situated behind a glacier hiding from Yuri.
"Yuzu we need to get out of here" I said as I pulled her onto my Whale as we began to ascend
"You aren't leaving that easily, go Starving Venom bring them back down" Yuri said as he hopped on Starving venom
Starving Venom collided with White Aura Whale destroying it so we both began to fall down.
Yuri began to swoop in towards Yuzu on his Dragon.
"I activate my trap card:Give and take. This card allows me to special summon a monster to my opponent's field. Since we're technically opponents I summon White Aura Whale to your field" I said as White Aura Whale caught Yuzu and began its escape once more
"Interesting but you won't stop me from completing my mission a third time. Go Starving Venom stop her" Yuri said as Starving venom fusion dragon moved past me and began going after Yuzu
I looked through my extra deck as I continued to fall.
'I hope this works'
"Awaken from your frozen cage, Ultimate Ice dragon! Trishula dragon of the Ice barrier!"
A statue of ice shattered as Trishula appeared.
I jumped onto Trishula and it turned towards Starving venom and shot a beam of ice at Starving venom stopping it in its path and making Yuri turn to face me.
Our two dragons collided and then moved back.
The two fought for a while until they parted and I descended to the ground knowing that trying to escape was pointless. It was time to finish this.
I got off my dragon and stood in front of Yuri as both our dragons disappeared.
"Raizen, I would say it's a pleasure to see you again but alas it isn't. Though this seems to be a great opportunity to get rid of the thorn that you are. So fight for your life Raizen, make it interesting at the very least" he said as he activated his duel disk
