"I activate the spell card:Shaddoll fusion which allows me to summon a shaddoll fusion monster using cards in my hand and on my field" I said as I activated it.
"But your field is empty and you only have one card in your hand" Shun said
"This is where Shaddoll fusion's second effect comes into play if my opponent controls a monster that was special summoned from the extra deck I can send monsters from my deck instead"
"Using monsters from your deck instead of your hand, that's pretty dangerous" Shun said as he wiped the sweat of his brow
"Glad you're beginning to open up Shun, but you'll have to wait till I'm done. I send Shaddoll beast and nepshaddol genius to the graveyard"
I say I discard the two cards from my deck and their visuals float into the sky.
"The efforts to restrict this inorganic anomaly have all been naught! Absorbing its enemy's remains has turned it into an even more terrifying entity! Fusion Summon! Appear! El Shaddoll Shekhinaga!" I said as I joined my hands
Strings began to expand out of a void before getting entangled and stopped void closed as a humanoid similar to construct appeared bound by her strings and some machine appendages.

"Since I sent shaddoll beast to the grave for this fusion I get to draw a card" I said as I took my card
"Now I set a monster. Then I activate the effect of resh shaddoll reincarnation in my grave" I said
"When did that card get there?" Yuto asked
"I discarded it when I activated rainbow life, though leaving that aside. I banish nepshadoll genius and it to activate its effect allowing me to flip a monster I control face up. I choose to flip my set card face up" I said
My card flipped over revealing a monster that looked like a dark griffon with shadows emanating from it.
Shaddoll Dragon

"When Shaddoll dragon is flipped over I get to return a monster you control back to your hand. So I'll return your only monster blaze falcon back to the extra deck"
Shaddoll Dragon roared as shadows pulled Blaze falcon out of the field and back to Shun.
"Now you three are wide open for a direct attack, though who should I go for first" I said as I placed my hand on my chin as I thought
The three of them stared at me with nothing but resolve in their eyes, no fear to be seen.
"I've decided. Battle phase! Shaddoll Dragon attack… Yuto" I said
Shaddoll Dragon roared as it sent shadows that collided with Yuto.

"Haah I'm fine" Yuto said to his comrades as he stood strong
"After this you won't be, El Shaddoll Shekhinaga attack Yuto directly, Blending Nightmare!" I said
Shekhinaga appeared behind Yuto and extended her machine appendages and pulled him towards her humanoid body. Then her strings start spinning like the blades in a blender and slash Yuto.
Once she's done she drops Yuto.

"One down two to go" I said seeing him fall
Shun ran over to Yuto's position and leaped into the air, successfully catching him.
"Yuto are you ok? Maybe we should leave while we can" Shun said as he looked towards me.
"It seems like he was telling the truth Raizen might really be gone, do we even have a reason for fighting if that's the case or are we just needlessly risking ourselves" Shun continued as his head now faced the ground as he clenched his fist.
"No- Don't, not yet" Yuto said as he managed to use Shun as support and stand up
"If we as the resistance can't even save our own comrades then what purpose do we have? I may have lost but you two should be able to continue" Yuto said
I began clapping.
"Wonderful speech Yuto, but I think you guys have more urgent matters to worry about. You lost right? You know what happens to someone who loses to a fusion duelist" I said as I raised my fusion duel disk
I faced my duel disk towards Yuto as I began to move to card him-
But then ruri's bracelet began to glow.
I immediately pressed the button but before my beam even reached halfway over to him, Yuto teleported away.
I sighed.
"Guess I was too slow, who is it now, Yuya? Or maybe Yugo? Whoever it is I'll take them on gladly" I said as I looked around
I caught sight of purple hair as a smirk made its way onto my face.
"Oh you're back" I said to the figure walking forward
Shun and Ruri also turned to look at the figure.
"Yes I see you've been enjoying yourself"-Yuri said as he stepped beside me- "though I'd like to finish this battle quickly since I have orders from the professor to fulfill" he said

"Go for it,I end my turn" I said
"Another person that looks like Yuto" Shun said
"He's not just another Yuto lookalike, he's the one Raizen and I fought during the invasion of the fusion dimension. His name is Yuri" Ruri said
"How kind of you to remember me, Ruri. Let me reward that kindness of yours and ask you to come along with me nicely-"
"You already know my answer Yuri" Ruri said interrupting him
Yuri shrugged his shoulders
"Well there was no harm in asking. Guess we'll have to do this the hard way then" he said
"You'll first need to go through me, draw!" Shun said as he drew his card and took a look at it and then immediately activated.
Turn 6-
"I activate the Rank up magic: Soul Shave Force by paying half my life points ugh"

"I can target a raid raptor xyz monster in my grave and special summon it onto the field so come back Rise Falcon" he said
The sky darkened and began to crackle with streaks of lightning as Rise Falcon descended from the dark-grayish clouds.
"You aren't going to be ending it with just that right" I said
"Of course not, now I can use Rise Falcon as material to xyz summon a monster two ranks above it" he said as Rise falcon was immersed in the overlay network
"Prideful falcon. Spread your wings, dyed in the blood of heroes, and charge through the path of revolution! Rank Up Xyz Change! Appear! Rank 6-Raid Raptor-Revolution Falcon!"
Blood red flames surrounded the silhouette that made its way around the mechanic bird that made its way out of the overlay unit as it stood before us.
Raid Raptor-Revolution Falcon

"Your Revolution Falcon the card holding your most displayed desire I'm going to crush both this card and your own desire of revolution" I said
"Not If I destroy your monster first. When Revolution Falcon is xyz summoned using a level 5 or lower xyz monster I get to destroy a special summoned monster you control and I choose your shekhinaga" he said as he pointed to it
Revolution Falcon lit aflame as it began to descend towards my monster.
"It's no use I activate shekinaga's effect, when I control a shaddoll card in my hand I can negate any special summoned monster's effect then destroy it" I said as his revolution falcon exploded
"and then send a shaddoll card from my hand to the graveyard, the card I sent was shaddoll squamata which allows me to send another shaddoll straight from my deck I send Shaddoll beast which allows me to draw a card" I said as I drew
"Now go on continue your turn" I said as I knew he had already lost.
"I- I end my turn. When I do so I take damage equal to the attack of the monster I had summoned" Shun said as his entire body was set aflame

Shun collapsed to the ground as the damage he took seemed to be far too much
"Well it seems like you didn't need my help after all though it's time we claimed our spoils" Yuri said as he seemed to move to hit the button to card Shun
"There's no need for that" I said
"What? I thought you're a duel spirit or are there still remnants of Raizen in you" Yuri said as he looked at me with a threatening glare
"Nothing like that it's just that I realized it would be far more humiliating to leave them be than to card them, I've been starting to enjoy seeing them struggle" I said
"Well I guess that's not too bad of reasoning plus I guess I should focus on delivering on the professors orders before doing anything else, though doing this right now seems almost too unfair-"
"Then maybe I should make things more fair" A familiar voice interrupted us
The three of us turned to the incoming figure, a troublesome duelist.
""Reiji Akaba so that's the professor's son, too bad the professor did tell me to not engage in a duel with him around, the mission needs to be postponed" Yuri said

"But well, I don't believe we can just leave, I'll create a distraction. I draw!"
Turn 7: Yuri
"I normal summon Predaplant Ophrys scorpio and using its effect I send a monster to the graveyard and special summon Predaplant Darlingtonia cobra who's effect allows me to add polymerization directly to my hand" he said as he grabbed the card from his deck
"And now I activate the spell that will spell your doom. I activate polymerization to fuse my two monsters on the field" he said with a smile as his two monsters rose to the sky
"Two beautiful flowers with an insect-alluring fragrance! Now become one, and from the hell beneath your petals, give birth to a new terror! Fusion Summon! Appear! Poisonous dragon with hungry fangs! Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!"

Yuri turned to me for a second and then turned to my Shekhinaga before he snapped his fingers and turned back to Starving Venom. I thought about his gesture for a moment before nodding in understanding.
"When Starving Venom Fusion dragon is summoned to the field it gains attack equal to all my opponents special summoned monsters-"

"It's time I activate El Shaddoll Shekhinaga's effect and negate the effect of Starving Venom and destroy it, then I send Shaddoll Ariel to the graveyard" I said
Yuri nodded.
"When Starving Venom Fusion Dragon is destroyed I get to destroy all other special summoned monsters controlled by my opponents and then deal them all damage equal to its attack"
The damage was low but the effect of it was noticeable. Starving Venom exploded, taking out Assembled Nightingale and sending Reiji a few feet back and knocking Ruri to the ground though she slowly attempted to stand up.

"It pains me to leave but nonetheless the professors word is final, we're returning to Academia" Yuri said as he took out his spell card Violet Flash
"And how do I follow after you?" I asked as he activated his card
"Just use the card I gave you, it should get you there" Yuri said as he disappeared
I took out Shaddoll core and activated it causing the numerous heads to begin to spin around like a tornado surrounding me and causing my surroundings to shift.
Reiji Pov
I wish I had arrived a bit sooner. Before I could really get a chance to do anything they fled.
The Xyz dimension duelists were not in the best of states with only Ruri still conscious trying to wake her brother Shun. Yuto wasn't nearby.
"What happened to Yuto?" I asked as I stopped in front of Shun and her
"He was about to get carded by Rai- Shad but then my bracelet began to glow and he suddenly disappeared" She said as she looked nervous
"Understood, I'll tell Nakajima to send some people to look for him" I said as I sent a quick message
I bent down and carried Shun on my back.
"I'll need to get him to the hospital, I'm assuming you're going to tag along?" I asked
She nodded
"Fine, since you're tagging along I need to know how things went down and what happened to Raizen" I said beginning to walk
"He's changed. He calls himself Shad and has allied himself with the professor" she said with a distraught look as she matched my pace
"And how strong is he?"
"Strong enough to hold his own against my brother and Yuto, he's even stronger than Raizen. I need to find a way to return him back to normal" she replied
"Don't be hasty now. Once we're done recovering our strength we'll be heading for the fusion dimension, until then we have to wait. Let's discuss the rest of the duel some other time" I said and stopped as our ride arrived
The driver opened the car's door and we got seated en route to LDS to begin planning our counterattack.
AN: Started playing yugioh master duel and somehow got back my inspiration to continue this story. Though I do have exams coming up so the next chapter might take a while plus I need to do some thinking regarding how to move forward with the story.
Also probably going to be more perspective shifts since I want to try out duels between characters that would normally not interact.
