Thanks to gaara king of the sand for the help.

Everyone walks through the empty streets of Savannah. Carley, Ben, Christa, and Kenny have drawn their pistols, and Chuck carries a shovel. Clementine is clutching to Danielle's hand while Omid limps along, his injured leg now bandaged.

"Fuck…" Omid groaned, stopping for a moment.

"A-Are you okay?" Clementine asked.

Christa answered for him. "He's not okay. His leg's pretty bad."

"Christa, I'm fine." Omid said.

"You're not fine, you need to rest." Christa replied. "He needs to rest."

"It's not safe to stop out here in the open, we need to keep moving. He can rest after we find a boat and get out on the water." Kenny said.

"I don't know how much longer he can keep on like this. If his leg gets any worse, we're going to have to carry him." Christa said.

"Or leave him." Kenny scoffed.

Christa shot him a look. "What? No, that's not an option. We can't—"

"Lady, I've known you for all of twelve hours-you don't get to say "we", unless you mean just you and him." Kenny interrupted.

"You know, since this all started, I've seen the best come out of a lot of people, and the worst come out of a lot of others. I guess we know which side you came down on." Christa huffed.

"There you go again, "we". There is no "we"-there's "us" and there's you and your boyfriend slowing "us" down." Kenny said.

Christa narrowed her eyes. "Go to hell, Kenny."

Kenny chuckled at that. "You taken a look around lately? It ain't that long a trip."

"Guys, stop. We've all got to look out for each other." Carley said. "How much farther, Kenny?"

"Should be just a few more blocks to the riverfront." Kenny replied.

Suddenly the Bell-tower starts ringing, causing them to stop in place.

"What the hell...?" Ben muttered in confusion.

"Maybe this city's not so dead after all..." Christa said.

"Keep moving. No one's ringing that bell, it's automatic, on a timer." Kenny claimed.

The others weren't so sure about that.

"Look!" Danielle's voice draws their attention as she notices a figure climbing on the rooftop.

Clementine looks up and her eyes widen. "Someone's up there."

The others check as well.

"Are you sure? I don't see anything." Ben said.

Before Clementine can answer, her radio give a sudden crackle. The girl furrows her brows and reaches into her bag to check it. Clementine jumps when it the radio crackles again.

"If I were you, I'd get out of the street. Now." An unrecognizable voice speaks.

"What the fuck? Who is that, Clem?" Kenny asks the young girl.

"I- I don't know!" Clementine says honestly, only for Kenny to snatch it from her and press the button to speak.

"Hello? Who the hell is this?!" Kenny asked.

There is no response.

"What the hell was that? Is someone trying to fuck with us?" Omid asked.

"Sounded more like a warning." Ben said.

"Ask not for whom the bell tolls..." Chuck mumbled.

"What are you yammerin' on about?" Kenny asked.

"It tolls for thee..." Chuck finished.

Dozens of walkers start to approach the group. The bell has stopped tolling.

"Oh, shit." Carley swears.

"Goddamn it. RUN! Follow me!" Kenny calls.

The group ends up killing several walkers as they run through the street. A walker trapped under a car suddenly grabs onto Kenny's ankle, making him fall and drop his gun. He grabs onto a pole and tries to pull himself toward the weapon.

"Kenny!" Clementine exclaims.

Carley quickly shoots the walker and Kenny scrambles to his feet.

"Little too close, don't ya think?" Kenny asked.

Carley shot at several of the walkers, making sure to keep them away from Clementine and Danielle.

"There's too many of them!" Ben says.

Chuck knocks over one of the walkers and drives his shovel through its chest. "Y'all get the hell out of here! I'll catch up with ya!"

"But- But!" Clementine tried to protest, but Kenny grabbed her arm.

"We gotta go!" Kenny said. "All of you, move your asses! River Street's right up ahead!"

The group continued to run but noticed more walkers.

"That's not all..." Ben gasped.

"Oh, gimme a fucking break!" Kenny huffed.

"Wait, where the hell's Chuck?" Christa asked noticing he had fallen behind.

Chuck continued to kill walkers with his shovel as more of them swarm around him.

"Shit! He's in trouble, we gotta help him!" Omid said.

Kenny looked at walkers approaching the group and said, "There's no time! We've gotta go, now!"

"W-We can't just leave him!" Clementine argued.

"I'll be fine! Just go!" Chuck said.

The group runs into the backyard of a house.

"I'll get the door!" Kenny said.

Ben closes the gate. Omid falls down and Christa kneels next to him. Ben and Kenny try to open the boarded-up door.

"Are you okay?" Clementine asked Omid.

Omid moves to a sitting position and groans. "Ugh... Yeah."

"You've opened up your wound, you're bleeding! Shit, that's gonna get infected. We've gotta get him inside, clean him up!"

"I'm working on it! I'm working on it!" Kenny grumbled.

"Well, work faster, would you? Won't be long before those things outside figure out where we went. You know they can smell blood!" Christa said.

Kenny rolled his eyes, "Lady, I ain't the one who's bleeding."

"Let's just find a way inside…" Carley said.

"I've been trying. The door's locked up tight. Too heavy to force it without making a whole lot of noise." Kenny said.

"Maybe there's a better way in." Carley said.

"Well, if there is, I ain't seeing it." Kenny replied.

"There's some kinda pet door here." Ben tries it, but sighs. "It's locked too…"

"Who the hell ever heard of a locked doggy door?" Kenny asked.

"I have." Omid spoke. "My neighbor had one just like that. It's radio-controlled, the dog wears a collar with a chip in it, so the door only opens when the dog gets close to it."

"Well, shit. Every day's a school day." Kenny said.

"Alright, so...where's the dog?" Ben asked.

They looked around and noticed a grave. Everyone sighed.

Kenny huffed and went to the shovel by the shed.

"Clem, do you think the dead people saw us come back here? Are they going to find us?" Danielle asked the older girl.

"No, they didn't see us. We were too fast for them." Clementine assured the child.

"Okay… I hope we can get inside soon…" Danielle said.

"We'll be okay, Dani… I promise…" Clementine said before looking to Omid. "How's your leg?"

"I'm alright." Omid said.

Christa disagreed. "You're not alright. You've reopened your wound, you're losing blood, and god only knows what might've gotten in there. It could be infected, it could be—"

"No offense, but you really need to work on your bedside manner." Omid said.

"It probably looks worse than it really is. You'll be okay." Clementine said.

"Thanks, kiddo." Omid said.

With the shovel in hand, Kenny headed to the grave and prepared to dig up the dirt mound.

"Hey, be careful. Digging up dead things isn't what it used to be, you know what I mean?" Omid said.

"Don't have to warn me." Kenny replied.

Ben, Carley, and Christa approach the grave as Kenny begins to dig.

"What's buried down there?" Danielle asks Clementine.

"Don't worry about it, Dani." Clementine said quickly, causing the girl to frown.

Kenny finishes digging up the grave and sits the shovel aside.

Ben quickly covers his nose. "Oh, god, the smell."

"Were you expecting it to smell like roses?" Kenny scoffed. He looked at the carcass and picks up the collar which seems to be stuck. He pulls a bit and suddenly the dog's head falls from its corpse and the collar comes off. "FUCK!"

Ben quickly turns away. "Okay, that is NOT cool."

Christa turns away and starts to vomit. Both Clementine and Danielle look concerned.

"Christa, are you okay?" Clementine asked.

Once Christa composed herself she answered, "I'm fine, honey. It's just the smell."

Omid frowned, "Are you sure you—"

Christa stopped him. "I said I'm fine, okay?"

Kenny takes out the collar and places it near the pet door. The pet door unlocks. "Yes! Goddamn!"

The group approaches the door. Kenny looks through the pet door.

"You see anything in there?" Ben asked.

"No. Looks like it's been empty a while." Kenny replied.

The sound of walkers can be heard nearby.

"Whatever you're gonna do, do it fast." Christa says in an anxious tone.

"Okay, lemme see if I can reach up in there..." Kenny said.

"Be careful," Ben said.

Kenny tries to reach the door handle but cannot.

"Fuck...it's no good, I can't get it." Kenny said.

"Here, let me try. I think I can—"

"I can do it…" Danielle says. "I can fit inside and unlock the door."

"I… I don't know, Dani…" Carley said.

"I wanna help, please… I promise, I'll be fast…" Danielle replied.

After a moment Carley sighed and said. "…Okay… Just hurry."

Danielle nodded and crawls through the pet door.

They wait anxiously, but it's not long before Danielle opens the door.

"Ta-da!" Danielle said.

"Nice job, Dani!" Clementine praises.

Omid gets up, "Can we maybe move inside My leg's starting to hurt like hell.

Kenny stepped through door and looked around. "Looks okay from here, everybody in."

Everyone enters the house. Christa help Omid onto a couch in the living room.

Omid groans in pain.

"Sorry! Sorry!" Christa apologizes.

"No, it's okay. I'm good. Feel better already just being off my feet. Thanks, babe." Omid said.

The rest of the group gathers in the kitchen. Christa soon joins them.

"So, Clementine, are you gonna tell us about the radio?" Christa suddenly asked.

The teen looked to her, "Wh-What about it?"

"Who was that person on the other end of that thing?" Christa asked.

"I don't know. I told you I don't know. I never heard the voice before." Clementine said. "Its batteries were almost dead, but I've been holding onto it because I used to use it to talk to my parents."

"Who gives a shit about the damn radio? I'm more worried about whoever it was out there ringing that bell and bringing the dead down on top of us! It's like they didn't want us to make it to the river!" Kenny said.

"What if they're the same guy?" Christa asked.

"That doesn't make any damn sense. If it was the same guy, why would he warn us?" Kenny said.

"Damned if I know! Maybe they were just trying to mess with us. Wouldn't be the most screwed-up thing I've seen these past few weeks; I can tell you." Christa said. "Whoever it was, they're watching us. Following us. And they don't want us to know who they are. I can't think of any explanation for that that would make me feel better. Can you?

"No… But I don't give a damn about them…. All I care about is finding a boat." Kenny said.

"What about Chuck, shouldn't we try to find him?" Clementine asked.

"Not gonna happen with the walkers out there, Clem." Kenny said. "Once it's quieted down outside we'll head out to the river. I'm not gonna wait around too long for someone else to grab up those boats, that's our ticket out of here."

"Place seems secure, at least." Ben said.

"For now…" Carley said.

"I'll feel better when we know that for sure. We need to check the whole house." Christa said.

Kenny sighed. "Alright, fine. Ben and me'll take the upstairs-Carley, you and Clem got down here. Make sure you check every door, understand?"

Carley nodded and Clementine nodded.

Ben, Christa, and Kenny leave.

"Can I help? What if there's another locked door?" Danielle asked.

"I think you've been helpful enough for one day, kiddo. Why don't you and Flopsie go see if Christa and Omid need anything, okay?" Carley suggested.

Danielle hesitated but went to do so.

Clementine and Carley began searching the first floor or the house finding it clear. After doing so they go to check in on Christa, Omid, and Danielle.

"The guy's losing it, he's on the edge. And I don't know if I wanna be around when he goes over it." Christa muttered.

"Kenny's fine. He's just been through a lot, that's all." Clementine cut in.

Christa looked to the young girl, "I hope you're right. For all our sakes."

"Well, the place doesn't have much but we should be okay here for a while, at least until it quiets down outside." Carley informed them.

Christa sighed in relief. "Good. Thanks. I don't suppose you turned up any meds while you were poking around?"

"Sorry. Nothing useful." Carley said.

"Damn…" Christa huffed. "We need to come up with a plan… We can't just sit here until—"

"CARLEY!" Ben runs partway down the stairs. "Carley, you need to get up here now."

"What's wrong?" Carley asked.

"It's Kenny." Was Ben's response.

Clementine frowns, looking concerned. "I should—"

"Clem, no… Stay with Dani. I got this." Carley said.

Clementine frowned but nodded.

Ben and Carley go upstairs and stand in front of the stairs to the attic.

"Kenny said he thought he heard something up there, went to go look." Ben explained.

"He's up there?" Carley asked.

Ben nodded. "I can't get him to come down."

"Okay, I'll get him…" Carley said before she slowly began to climb up the attic stairs. As she reached the top of the steps, she can see Kenny kneeling on the floor.

"Kenny?" Carley called. "Are you okay? Fuck... What the hell is that sm—" She stops as notices the shriveled walker corpse of a young boy. It takes a step forward, then falls, unable to support its own weight. "Oh my god…"

"Kinda looks like Duck, don't he?" Kenny mumbled.

"Poor kid… What the hell happened to him...?" Carley asked.

"Ain't nothing on him. Guess he must've been hiding out up here. Starved to death." Kenny said.

"Fuck…" Carley couldn't imagine how horrible it must have been for the poor child.

Kenny lowered his head. "I don't know if I can do it… I couldn't do it before, and I can't do it now."

"I'll take care of it, Kenny… You don't have to…" Carley said.

Kenny couldn't bring himself to respond.

Carley sighed as she took her gun and slow walked over to the zombified boy She shook a bit, but steady her hand as she shot the walker in the head.

Kenny was silent for a moment before saying, "We should bury him."

"I'll take care of it." Carley picked up the child's body and sadly makes her way downstairs.

She doesn't speak to anyone as she headed outside and carries the body to the backyard. She places it in the grave with the dog and covers the grave with dirt as Clementine and Christa briefly watch from a distance before going inside.

Just as Carley finishes filling the grave, she notices a figure behind the fence; however the person runs away as soon as she sees them

"Hey. Hey! Who the hell are you?!" Carley called to them, getting no response.

Hearing the noise, Ben and Christa run out to the backyard.

"Is everything okay? What's going on?" Christa asked.

"I… I saw something... Someone watching us…" Carley replied.

Kenny soon joins them in the backyard.

"Kenny… are you—"

Kenny cuts Ben off. "I'm fine. Just...I'm fine. What's all the ruckus?"

"Carley saw someone watching us from outside the gate." Ben answered.

Kenny was surprised to hear that. "What? Who?"

"I can't be sure. They ran off before I could get a good look." Carley replied.

"I don't like this one bit. Not one bit." Ben said.

"Me either. Walkers are one thing, but the thought of someone out there actually stalking us..." Christa shuddered.

"Alright, that's it. We've stuck around here long enough. It's time to get back on track, time to get down to the river and find ourselves a boat." Kenny said.

"I don't know if Omid's well enough to move yet." Christa protested.

"Well, he'd better get ready. Because I'm going down to River Street right now to find a boat, and as soon as she's ready to go we're moving out." Kenny said.

"Yeah, the sooner we get the hell out of here, the better." Carley said.

"Well, then, hell, what are we waiting for?"

"Ben will go with you. I'll stay with the girls." Carley said.

"Alright…" Kenny agreed. "As much as I could use your shooting skills, if things got ugly, since I know some fucker is out here messing with us, you sticking with the girls is probably best…"

Carley nodded.

"Let's go, Ben Daylight's burning. Gonna go grab my gear, then we'll head out." Kenny said.

"Okay…" Ben said.

A while later Kenny and Ben walked down an abandoned street, both quiet as the trek forward.

"Hey, umm… thanks for letting me come along." Ben muttered after some silence.

"Just don't screw this up. I don't feel too good about having a kid watch my back…" Kenny said.

"I promise I won't screw up…." Ben replied. He frowned, he felt so uncomfortable being alone with Kenny. Especially knowing he was the cause for everything that had happened to their group… To Kenny's family… "Uh… Do you want to…talk?"

"About what?" Kenny asked.

"About… anything that's happened…" Ben said.

"No." Kenny immediately said.

"A-Are you sure? I know it was—"

Kenny cut him off. "River's right up ahead. Keep moving."

As they continued to walk, bells started tolling and Kenny angrily draws his pistol, knowing the sound with bring the dead.

"Son of a bitch. That bastard's fucking with us again. It's another trap." Kenny said.

"No. Listen. That's not the same bell as before. This one's further off." Ben said. "Whatever it is, it's gonna get the dead moving further from us…"

Walkers start to appear on the street, moving away from them. Kenny and Ben hide behind a wall.

"What in the hell is going on?" Kenny asked.

Ben shrugged. "I don't know, but the person ringing that bell might be helping us…"

"Whatever. I find whoever's doing that, I'll ring their motherfucking bell for 'em." Kenny said.

The walkers clear out and the two continue moving. When they get to the docks, their hearts drop. Only one boat, partially submerged, is left at the harbor.

"There's gotta be a boat...there's gotta be." Kenny said.

"…Maybe we need to come up with a new plan…" Ben replied.

"This IS the plan, Ben! This is our best bet!" Kenny spat.

Kenny turns away. Ben reaches out for him but Kenny runs off. Ben follows just as Kenny jumps down onto the dock to examine one of the boats. Ben stands on the sidewalk behind the railing.

"This one might still be salvageable." Kenny said.

Ben didn't think it looked to salvageable. "Seriously?"

'You got a better fucking idea?" Kenny inquired. "I'll check it out. You look further along the waterfront. Maybe there's something at the other end."

"I don't think we should split up too far." Ben said. "It… might not be safe…"

"We don't have to. See that telescope? You can see all the way along the waterfront from right here. See what you can find." Kenny said.

"Okay." Ben looks through the telescope unfortunately it requires a quarter to work. Ben figures he should search the street for one.

At the end of the street, several "living" zombies are stuck on pikes next to a sign saying "STAY OUT".

He feels his skin crawl as he sees this, the hair on the back of his neck standing up. The teen tries to stay focused and find a quarter. He gets the idea to check the newspaper machine, hitting it with the toy they had found on the train.

"Jackpot." He says and picks up the quarter that falls out.

Ben is about to use the coin on the telescope, when Kenny jumps back up to the street and curses.

"What's up?" Ben asked.

"It ain't gonna work. Hull's cracked beneath the water line, plus someone stripped out the battery." Kenny said.

"You can't fix it?"

Kenny doesn't respond as he notices the walker barricade behind Ben. "What the-what the hell is that?!"

"I- I have no idea… It's… It's so sick…" Ben said.

"Fuck…."

Ben inserts the coin and looks through the telescope. He sees no sign of any boats down there. As he continues looking around, he suddenly sees a figure on top of a building. Ben jumps back and looks to Kenny.

"K-Kenny. I saw someone." He says.

"What?"

"I saw someone through the telescope. The came down from a build and ran towards the news stand." Ben explained.

"Fuck… Get down, get down!" Kenny ordered.

The two crouched on the dock and ook through the fence as the figure searches the newsstand.

"That Could be our bell ringer. How about we go find out?" Kenny suggested.

"Maybe he's just another scavenger, like us." Ben said.

"Yeah, and maybe he ain't. Maybe he's that fucker on the radio. Don't you wanna know? 'Cause I wanna know." Kenny said.

Ben sighed, knowing Kenny was going to be stubborn.

"Okay, you head up the middle of the street, I'll go around the side, cover your flank. We'll come up on him quiet, take him by surprise." Kenny draws his pistol.

"We're just gonna talk, r-right?" Ben stammered.

"Oh, we're gonna talk." Kenny moves forward and hides in an alleyway. Ben tries to sneaks forward but the person in the newsstand crouches down. When Ben looks over the counter, he is shocked to see the stand is empty.

"What the-?"

Ben doesn't have time to reached before someone hits him sending him to the ground.

"Ben!" A sudden voice causes the stranger to stop. "Back away!"

The stranger turns to see a girl aiming a gun. Ben struggles to his feet and noticed Clementine standing, holding the stranger at gunpoint.

Kenny steps out from his hiding spot, pointing his gun at Molly, but is surprised to see Clementine. "Clem, what are you doing here? I told you stay at the house where it was safe… And… where'd you get that gun?"

"Kenny, I'm helping you out here. Quit treating me like a little kid." Clementine huffed.

The stranger is surprised to hear their interaction slowly the person removes the hood from their head. "You're not from Crawford." A woman speaks.

"What is Crawford?" Clementine asked, looking confused.

"Who gives damn, she's been following us and—"

As Kenny approaches her the woman sweeps Kenny's leg with a kick, and he falls, dropping his gun as it fires.

"Back off, old man…" She hisses.

"Stop, please… We're not looking for trouble." Clementine slowly lowered her gun, showing they didn't want to fight.

Kenny slowly gets up and the woman puts her weapon away as well.

"Who the hell are you people?" The woman asked.

"We came here looking for a boat." Clementine explained.

"We did. You should be back at the house, Clementine." Kenny scolded the girl.

Clementine rolled her eyes. "Enough Kenny."

The woman chuckled at that. "Overprotective much?"

"You don't know the half of it." Clementine groaned.

"The name's Molly." The woman introduced herself.

"I'm Clementine this is Kenny and Ben." Clementine replied.

"You guys really aren't from Crawford, are you?" Molly asked.

"I don't even know what that is." Clementine said.

"Everything beyond that barricade." Molly explained.

"What the hell happened here?" Kenny asked.

"You sure you wanna know?" Molly asked back.

They nod.

"When everything went to shit, some people got together and sealed off that whole neighborhood. Folks willing to do anything to stay alive, stop the dead getting in. I try to avoid 'em." Molly explained.

Kenny furrowed his brows. "Why?"

"Let's just say they have a zero-tolerance policy for anyone who won't-or can't-live by their rules." Molly replied.

"So how'd you know we weren't them?" Kenny asked.

"The way you talk. The way you want to protect her… People aren't like that in Crawford…" Molly said. "Everyone just looks out for themselves there. Anyone who needs protection wouldn't be allowed to stick around. There are no children, no elderly, no one with an advanced medical condition. Basically no one who might be a burden on the community. Crawford's all about the survival of the fittest. That's how they survived, while the rest of the world went to shit around them."

Kenny frowned. "Jesus Christ..."

"Well, just the opposite, when you think about it. Crawford got rid of anyone that couldn't pitch in, pull their own weight. Way they looked at it, those people were just a lot of useless mouths to feed. A drain on their precious resources."

"How do you know all this?" Clementine asked.

"Everyone in Savannah knew. What was going on inside Crawford got passed around like a ghost story. Except this one was true." Molly replied. "…You said you came here looking for a boat?"

"Yeah… We're hoping to get our people out of here and find someplace safe." Kenny said.

"Yeah, good luck with that. Anyone with a boat took it out of here as soon as people started eating each other. Any that got left behind, Crawford stripped 'em for parts. Cars too." Molly said.

"There's gotta be something." Kenny said.

"If there was, do you think I'd still be here? I've been over every inch of this city; this whole place is picked clean." Molly said.

"Goddamn it! Fuck!" Kenny suddenly exclaimed.

Molly looked around, hoping his shouting hadn't drawn attention. "Hey! Moron! You wanna keep your voice down?"

Kenny lowered his voice as he muttered. "Shit."

"Since you're not getting on any boat, I'd advise you folks to go back to where you came from, before—"

She didn't get the chance to finish before they heard walkers approaching.

"Great. Just great." Molly groaned.

Kenny looked around and where the walkers were coming from. "Isn't that the—"

"The way we came." Ben huffed.

"Fuck! Gunshot must've brought 'em back." Kenny said.

"Isn't there another way back to the house?" Clementine wondered. "Molly, is there a—"

Clementine turns around to see Molly run into the alley. They quickly run after just as she is scaling her way up the wall with her ice pick to get up to the fire escape.

"Y-You can't just leave us here!" Ben said.

"Sorry, I must have missed that part of our conversation where you became my problem." Molly replied.

Clementine sent her a pleading look. "Don't leave us here! Please!"

Molly sighed at that and slowly reaches out her hand. "Come on! Make it fast!"

Kenny and Molly help Ben climb up as walkers fill the alley.

"Come on, Clem!" Kenny calls ready to boost the girl up, however the two find themselves forced apart by the walkers.

"J-Just go!" Clementine calls to him.

"Wh-What? I ain't leaving you, darlin!" Kenny calls to her, climbing on top of a dumpster and kicking the walkers back.

"Go!" Clementine repeats her order.

Kenny still refuses.

"Clementine, there's a manhole cover, that's your way out." Molly tosses her ice pick to the teen.

"Don't tell her that shit!" Kenny snapped. "Clem, I'm gonna find a way to you, just—"

"GO!" Molly tells her.

Clementine takes the climbing pick. With some struggle she pries open the manhole cover, and climbs down.

"CLEM!" Kenny yells for her.

Clementine climbed down the ladder, flinching as a walker falls from the open manhole above and crashes to the ground.

"Kenny! Can you hear me?!" The girl waits for a response but doesn't get one. "I'm okay! I'll find a way back to the house!"

The girl was unsure if her voice was heard or not. She looks at the ladder behind her; walkers continue to growl and groan above ground. There was no going back that way.

Clementine walked down the steps and through the sewers, reaching a tunnel sloping down with sewage running through it. She starts to carefully walks through it. The girl continues to walk through the sewer, and soon comes across a group of walkers consuming a corpse. Clementine gasps and quickly enters the small passageway on the left, hoping they didn't notice her.

She spots a drainage pipe and hesitantly turns the wheel of the pipe to the right. Water begins flowing from the pipe on the other side of the passageway grate, and the sound attracts the walkers.

She felt the wheel and noticed it seemed loose. The girl gave it a yank and pulled it free.

A walker stands in front of the passageway and the girl quietly swore, hoping it would move.

She quietly exits the passageway, taking the wheel with her. She turns left and uses Molly's ice pick to unlock the grate in front of the passageway. She opens it and enters the area from earlier. She places the wheel on the drainage pipe and turns it to the right. Water flows through the grate near the pipe, and walkers stop eating and approach the sound.

Clementine waits for them to pass the returns to the passageway and enters the area where the walkers previously were. Her heart drops when she realizes that the partially consumed corpse is Chuck, his gun lying nearby.

"Oh, my god. Chuck." She picked up the gun and realized the man must have shot himself. "I'm so sorry, Chuck… You deserved better…"

The girl frowns and goes to the end of the hallway; a single walker stands at the end of it, its back turned as it concentrates on the grate in front of it.

Clementine sneaks toward the walker, planning to kill it with ice pick. Suddenly, a walker's hand reaches out from the grate on the floor and grabs her leg. The first walker starts to approach the girl.

Clementine uses the climbing pick to pry the zombie's hands off her. As she stands up, the other zombie stands in front of her

Clementine kills the approaching walker with the ice pick. She quickly continues on before the other ones notice her. She walks to the end of the hallway, where there is a manhole cover with no ladder leading up to it.

The girl frowns and then takes out the climbing pick and tries to jump up the wall, but her foot hits the sign, making it come loose and reveal a hole in the wall behind it.

Furrowing her brows. Clementine pulls the sign down and steps through the passage behind it. She enters a room with supplies and furniture.

"Whoa…" The girl quickly put her guard up as she notices the beds and food. She wondered if someone was living down here.

Clementine opens the door and enters the next room, where she finds a group of survivors. One of them shakily points a revolver at her, and Clementine raises her hands.

"Oh my gosh…" The man shakily lowered his gun. "It's a kid…"

"I don't want any trouble. I… I'm kind of lost…" Clementine said honestly.

"Lost…? How did you get down here…?" The old man asked.

"I got separated from my people…" Clementine said.

"You can't let her leave. She's from Crawford!" A woman hissed. "If she goes back there and they find out we're down here..."

"Are you from Crawford? Don't lie to me, I'll know." The older man asked the girl.

"Where else can she be from? Everywhere else around here is dead." The woman from before huffed.

"I… I'm not from Crawford. My group came out here looking for a boat. We got separated by the walkers." Clementine said.

"You can't trust her, Vernon. You can't let her leave." The woman said.

The man, Vernon sent her a look. "What do you want me to do, Brie? Shoot her in the head?"

"Why not? That'd be more of a mercy than anyone from Crawford ever showed us." Brie replied. "Think, Vernon! what do you think they'll do if they find out we're down here, right under their feet?"

"She's a child, Brie… I can't do that…" Vernon said.

"Then let me…" Brie said.

Clementine flinched at that. "Please… I swear, I'm not from Crawford. I saw what they did… I didn't come here to cause trouble…" Clementine said. "My- My name is Clementine… Pl-Please don't kill me… I just want to get back to my group…"

Vernon placed the gun down.

"Vernon, what are you doing? Shoot her." Brie said.

"She's just a kid, Brie… And I had one just like her…" Vernon replied.

Clementine sighed in relief. "Thank you…"

"You're really not from Crawford?" Another man asked.

Clementine shook her head. "No. I'm really not."

"Well...we are." Vernon said. "Or were. We got out of there when they started sealing up the place, starting weeding out the sick and the old so their perfect survivor society wouldn't be threatened. No room for weakness or vulnerability in their little master race."

"You don't look that old. So... you're sick?" Clementine asked.

"We WERE sick. We belonged to a cancer survivors' group that used to meet at the hospital here. Now we're in remission." Vernon explained. "But that wasn't good enough for Crawford. They'd already rounded up five of us before the rest managed to hole up and hide from them down here. This old basement's been abandoned for years. You claim you were attacked but how'd you get down here?"

"My group and I got attacked by walkers up on the street. I came down here trying to get away. Now I just want to get out of here and get back to them." Clementine said.

Vernon hummed. "That sewer system you came through runs all over the city, it'll take you wherever you want to go."

"Thanks…" Clementine said. "Hopefully I can find the way back…."

"Vern, you're not just going to let her go back there alone, are you? Those sewers are like a maze, she's got no chance of finding her way back without a guide." Another man spoke.

"Yeah… You're not going to be able to get out of here on your own. I'll take you back…" Vernon said.

"But we need you here…" A woman protested.

"I'll come back… But I have to make sure that this little girl gets back to her family… Where she belongs." Vernon said.

"Thank you…" Clementine said.

Despite some of the group members protest Vernon's mind was made up.

Vernon hugs Brie goodbye, and then checked in with the others before turning to Clementine. "Let's go… Stay close…"

The girl nodded in response.

When Clementine finally arrived back at the house, she felt like a weight had lifted off her shoulders. The girl quickly headed to the living room and is surprised to see the others all looking anxious. Carley was pacing, while Kenny is downing a bottle of alcohol.

Kenny immediately gets up as he spots her and pulls her into a tight embrace. "Never do that to me again."

"I'm sorry…" Clementine hugs him back. She can smell the alcohol on him as he clings to her.

"We were worried as shit." He slurs his words. "Thank God you're back. See, I knew she'd be okay. This is my girl… And… And I ain't gonna let anything bad happen to her."

"We were all worried, Clem…" Ben said.

"Yeah. The old man practically had a panic attack, we had to almost drag him back to the house." Molly said. "Glad you're okay, kid."

"Thanks." Clementine said to her, breaking from Kenny's embrace.

"Who's the fossil?" Molly asked, noticing Vernon.

"Molly…" Clementine sighs at the disrespect. "This is Vernon. He helped me get here."

"Oh… Well… that's good. Molly said. "Anyway, I think you have something that belongs to me."

Clementine hands her back the climbing pick. "Thanks for letting me use it."

"No problem." Molly said.

Carley hugs the young girl next and then looks to Vernon. "Thank you, for bringing her back."

"Of course. I couldn't just leave a young girl to find her own way." Vernon replied.

Danielle joined Carley and Clementine in the hug. "A-Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Dani. I promise…" Clementine told the child.

"I was so scared… I thought you might be…" Danielle trailed off.

"I'm okay… Everything's gonna be okay." Clementine reassured her.

Before long Christa rushes down the stairs and into the living room

"Clem, Oh thank god you're back!" Christa said.

"Christa, is everything okay?" Clementine asked.

"N-No… Omid, He's gotten worse. Much worse." Christa said.

"We have a man wounded." Carley explained to Vernon.

"Who's he?" Christa asked.

"The name's Vernon… I might be able to help… I'm a doctor." Vernon said.

"R-Really… Do you think you can take a look at him? Please?" Christa pleaded.

Vernon nodded. I'll see what I can do. Take me to him.

Christa nods and take Vernon upstairs to check on Omid.

"Clem…" Danielle tugs at the older girl's sleeve. "I wanted to show you something…"

"What is it?" Clementine asked.

"It's outside." Danielle said.

"Okay… Let's check it out then." Clementine said after a moment.

"Hold on, where are you girls headed?" Kenny inquired.

"To the backyard." Danielle said.

"The backyard? Alright fine… Go on and play out back,"

"I don't know if that's a good idea." Carley said.

"We'll be fine. Don't worry." Clementine said.

"Okay… Just... Be careful… Please." Carley said.

"We will be." Clementine said.

"Holler if you need anything." Kenny said.

"Okay…" Clementine said. Not that he could do much in his current state.

"Look," Danielle motioned to a hole in the shed out back. "It's a secret passageway to this shed. I wanted to go inside, but it looked too dark and scary… Do you think you can come with me?"

"Umm… I don't think I'll fit in there, Dani. But I am curious to see what's inside… Let's try the door." Clementine said.

"I tried it, it seemed stuck…" Danielle replied.

"Maybe if we pull it together it'll work." Clementine said.

Danielle nodded.

The two girls went over to the door. "On three. One, two, three."

They both pulled at the door and were surprised at what they saw.

"Holy shit…" Clementine mumbled.

"Swear…" Danielle said.

"S-Sorry, kiddo…" Clementine said. "We should show the others-"

"I came to check on you girls." Kenny suddenly called from the backdoor. He stumbles his way over as he notices the girls' stunned silence. "What are you two up to?"

Kenny walks up to the shed and his eyes widen as he realizes what is inside. He smiles and slowly the whiskey bottle drops from his hand.
