The seven princesses curtsied as the chorus finished, and took their places around the piano, waiting for the next princess to arrive. That princess happened to be Cinderella. She daintily walked onto the stage, and greeted everyone with a warm smile. Her verse came to everyone with gentleness.
We'll be there for you
Even if you're feeling blue
Or if you want to experience something new
Bruno offered a self-deprecating smile. He was always anxious about trying new things. However, he also had trouble finding the light and good in situations. It was hard when it seemed like every vision had a terrible outcome.
Regulus also struggled finding the good. It seemed as if his whole life was full of the mistakes and regrets that he had. Not standing up to his parents, not supporting his brother, not researching the Dark Lord early on, and not facing his fears when he had the chance. He believed himself to be a coward. Oh, and also not doing things for others because it was the right thing to do, and not because he owed them anything or they owed him.
We need you too
Did they? Regulus asked himself in his mind. They needed him at the piano right now, but would he ever see them again? They all seemed so kind, especially since they've been giving him the most beautiful flowers that he braided into his salt and pepper, elbow-length curls. He felt more regal and elegant with the impromptu flower crown than he'd ever felt wearing a pre-planned ensemble at a function in the Wizarding World.
Bruno loved that he was needed outside of doing visions. He spent much of his time with his family, especially his sobrinos. He absolutely loved it. He felt full.
We love you
Regulus looked up from the music sheets on the piano to see and hear Bruno sniffle with emotion as the eight girls stared at him with genuine love. The man was wiping tears off his full cheeks with his go-away green ruana. Everyone could see the bright, watery smile he was sporting.
The royals swept their gazes over to Regulus to say the same to him. A sparkly sheen made his light blue eyes shine like stars. But unlike Bruno, he refused to let them fall.
Let us fill you with warm stew
Two pots of stew, one from Colombia, Sancocho, and the other from England, Split Pea Soup, was brought out for them to eat from. They were both warm and full of comfort. That's something that everyone wanted, right?
We commend you for being true
With all that you've been through
"Thank you!" the Colombian said kindly. But he had a question of why did he need to be thanked for what he'd been through? Lots of people have been through many difficult trials, so should they be thanked too? Many thanked Christ, and still do, but he, as in Bruno, was only human, not a divine deity.
We wish you would love and see yourself the way we do
Then you'd see just how much the things we've been saying and will say are true
Oooh
Bruno was fully crying now. Not getting teary-eyed, but the full waterworks. "Oh, Mija!" he cried, tears soaking his full cheeks. He rushed to the edge of the stage where he crushed Cinderella into a hug full of emotion.
Regulus looked on uncomfortably. Men weren't supposed to be so emotional. The only strong emotion his father, Orion Black, had ever shown him was subtle pride, or anger, or even none at all. Seeing a man cry, cry happy tears of all things, was alien to him. Cinderella proffered the men a Gladiolus flower to add to the ones they already had. Regulus gave her a genuine, but small smile, in contrast to Bruno's large, bright ones.
