"Er…" He paused. Then said no more. There was a pause to see if anymore was said about the matter before Dolores made her entrance. There wasn't but she made a mental note to get him an Arepa from Bruno when she was finished. Her verse showcased her beautiful soprano range.
They'd never understand
Understand what? There were a lot of things that people couldn't understand about either of them. For example how Regulus, amongst his family, wasn't a cruel, ruthless monster. Sirius had inherited their parents' cruelty, demonstrated by his treatment of Severus Snape or Slytherins in general. Regulus wasn't as handsome, academically gifted, powerful, you name it. Sirius was just better even if he did get top grades. He was more graceful on a broom though.
The villagers of Encanto would never understand that Bruno couldn't control the future. He only saw it and equipped the subjects with how it could be changed. It was beyond their understanding of how their treatment affected him. It made him wary to step foot in town.
Maybe they'd need a hand
A hand to understand? Absolutely. If everyone could understand one another, life would be so much easier. There would be more love to go around.
For they're in the department of the bland
If there was one thing, it was that Bruno was never called boring. Unlike many adults. Children came flocking to him on the rare occasions that he ventured out in town in the beginning of his recovery process. Now, he goes out more frequently, and is happy to know the newest generation in his community.
Regulus, on the other hand, was deemed boring by his older brother and children seem to shy away from him. He couldn't say that he blamed them. He was unsmiling, taciturn, and seemingly humourless. Children didn't like most of his family, so… What could he do about it?
We want you to know that you're one of the kindest people in the land
Bruno's heart melted. He thought it ironic that he didn't thrive on human interaction like Mirabel did, but he was deeply in tune with them regardless. When people were kind to him, then he would go beyond what was required because true kindness was hard to come by.
Regulus was far from the kindest person in the land. Even Sirius wasn't very kind at times, and he was deemed the 'good brother' in the Wizarding World. Many concepts were oftentimes relative.
And so grand
Regulus had grandeur in spades. That was something he was raised on. He was being grand at that moment with the plethora of flowers in his hair even if the braided crown wasn't completed.
A flower crown would be the grandest thing that Bruno would allow himself to wear regularly. He loved his well-used outfits and didn't prefer to buy new ones. He only had one formal suit while Regulus owned several.
Even when you're coated in sand
The pianist allowed himself to grimace at the notion of being coated in sand. It wasn't that he was a neat-freak, it was that the sand could bother other people. He also knew how hard it was to get rid of.
Bruno smiled because he was more often than not, covered in sand due to his rituals with his visions. It also clung to him even if he hadn't done any visions recently.
Let us be in on all of what you've got convolutedly planned
Both men smirked, Regulus' was into the piano, at that lyric. Regulus planned to the smallest details when conducting events and meetings while Bruno used his planning skills on his pranks on the self-righteous villagers ofEncanto. The ones that go after his sobrinos especially.
Some people should be rightfully canned
Ch, ch, ch
Bruno laughed at the last lyric. That was definitely true. He thought that his mother was too soft on the villagers and believed that some of them should've been banished many years ago.
Looking at his own family, Regulus thought of his own family and how his parents had treated his brother and himself. From having been able to observe a more regular family dynamic, he had realised how toxic they had been. He finally acknowledged that Sirius had been right. They had been unsafe.
