Hello everyone, and happy late new year. I'm glad I was able to make this one, I was cutting it pretty close to be able to upload this chapter on time, but glad I got to the point that I wanted to. Things might be going a bit fast, but I do want to flesh this all out before my big break from the main storyline that I have planned in the future. For now, just to address something in the reviews: I would love nothing more than to have a picture of Wither, but I have 2 main issues in acquiring one. First, I am a horrible drawer/artist, so any picture I try to make would look very bad. and the second, I do want to commission a picture of him, but I have no idea of who to go to or where to start looking. I want it to be cheap, free if lucky, but I also want the art to be quality. If anyone has suggestions, I'm glad to take them in DMs. For now, please enjoy this chapter.

Disclaimer: I do not own Wings of Fire.

"Thoughts"

Clay looked to the others as they landed on one of the platforms of the Rainwing village. "Everyone alright?" Tsunami nodded as she and Starflight sat down, Sunny looking back to the direction of the tunnel with a worried expression. "... Do you think Glory and Wither will be okay?" Starflight nodded. "Wither won't let Glory get hurt. He's done well for us." Tsunami nodded. "Yeah. And Glory is tough. She'll be fine." Sunny wasn't so sure, unable to shake off a chill that ran down her spine. "... I just can't help but worry. We don't know what Queen Glacier is like. What if they got hurt?" Tsunami came over to her, rubbing her shoulder gently. "They'll be fine, Sunny. We should focus more on what we learned. Nightwings in the Rainforest... Glory and I kind of figured when we staked the place out, but to know that we were right... It's worrying." Starflight nodded. "My main worry is Morrowseer showing up out of nowhere." Sunny sighed. "But their home sounds awful... I just wish there was something we could do... Poor Nightwings..." Clay came over to Sunny, letting his tail move on top of Sunny's. "Hey. We'll figure something out. Some way we can solve the problem without things getting violent."

Their conversation was disrupted when Heliconia landed next to him, a worried expression on her face. "Hey. Where's Wither? Something... Something really weird happened with Moonwatcher." Clay frowned, jumping up. "What happened? Is she okay?" Heliconia hesitated. "Yeah. She isn't hurt, but something weird happened to her about twenty minutes ago. She started thrashing out of nowhere, like something had stung her really badly, before her eyes started... glowing! She said something, but I can't remember it all, but something about... Talons of death and all the tribes falling." Starflight's eyes could not be any wider. "... A vision... Moonwatcher had a vision... She... She can see the future. She's a prophet like Morrowseer!" Tsunami looked at him in shock, before turning into anger. "Like Morrowseer... so she knew what was going to happen, and she didn't warn us!?" Clay instantly put a talon on her shoulder. "Tsunami, stop. I don't think Moon had any reason to want us getting hurt. Let's just go see if she's alright. I don't care if she can see the future, but she... She's scared, Tsunami... If anything, this might be why she was so nervous when we first met."

Tsunami huffed, Sunny whapping her tail against Tsunami's. "We promised Wither that we'd be nice, Tsunami. Don't snap at her like that when we go see her." Tsunami had to hide her flinch at the look of disappointment on Sunny's face. "... I'm sorry, Sunny. I'm just... I'm sick of this prophecy deciding our lives for us... We could have had families, tribes, and... Morrowseer took that away from us." Sunny nodded. "I know... But, isn't it worth it if we can save everyone? Every dragon that would die in this war, we would keep alive." Tsunami sighed. "Yeah... Yeah, you're right... Let's go see if Moonwatcher is alright. Heliconia sounded pretty spooked." Clay smiled as he came up to them. "Agreed. If Moonwatcher needs our help, we should at least try."

They all nodded to each other, setting off to the healer's hut where Heliconia had brought Moon, and she did not look well. Moonwatcher was shivering badly, almost non-stop as she tried to calm herself down, nearly hyperventilating as she clutched her head. "Death... blood... s-so many screams..." She could see it as clear as day in her mind, a living nightmare of a world, with corpses turning into dust, battles where hundreds of dragons died, yet no blood was shed. And at the center was the evil, grinning face of a dragon. Eyes as red as blood, with bottomless black hole pupils that pierced into her very soul. Clay was the first to come up, gripping her shoulders. "Moon! Are you okay." Moon met his eye, bloodshot streaks in the whites of her eyes showing that she had been crying as even more tears fell down her face, trembling in his talons. "I-I don't know. I don't know... I-I can't stop seeing him... I... I'm scared..." She gave a loud whimper as even more tears fell down her snout. Tsunami felt bad about being angry at the young Nightwing. She really was just a scared dragonet. Clay held her close, supporting her. "We're here for you, Moonwatcher. Whatever you're seeing, it isn't real. We're here, right beside you." Sunny came up, taking one of Moon's talons in her own. "We understand that you're scared, Moonwatcher. But you aren't alone anymore. We're here for you." Moon trembled, looking to Sunny. "... It was wearing his face... W-Wither... The dragon that brings death to all... I-It has his face..."

All of the dragonets looked concerned about that, until Starflight came up to her. "Moon, I know it's hard, but please, tell us everything." Moon swallowed lightly, the warmth from Sunny's scales and Clay's support helping her to calm down. "... It wasn't that long ago, but I just suddenly was... in pain. My head hurt like someone had just split my skull open. I saw... Dragons... hundreds. maybe thousands of dragons... dead... Their flesh and bones turning into dust... and at the center was one dragon, towering over the bodied. His scales were the color of blood, and his eyes... were like an endless void... Then... words started coming out of me." Starflight nodded. "What did you say?" She tried to think back to what she had said, before her eyes started to glow again, her voice becoming distant as she recited.

"Dragonets of destiny must head the call.

Or all the tribes of Pyrrhia will fall.

Come together against doubt and fear.

To battle a darkness that has drawn near.

Turn your wings and hearts united.

To heal the wound of a dragon divided.

Repair his heart before his last breath.

Or all will fall to Talons of Death."

Starflight frowned lightly. "... I'm not sure that could mean Wither. I mean, yeah, he's a bit weird, but Divided? What could that mean?" Tsunami shrugged. "Not sure... Maybe it's just nothing to worry about?" Moon shook her head. "No... I... I got a feeling that it will happen unless something is done... But I don't know what..." Sunny smiled to her. "You aren't in this alone, Moonwatcher. We're right with you, just like Wither is." Moon gained a ghost of a smile, touched by their words. "Thank you... all of you..." Starflight then had to ask what was on his mind. "Did... Wither know you could see the future?" Moon flinched, before nodding. "... Actually, I... I can read minds too... N-not deep thoughts or anything, just current ones, and Wither taught me how to silence ones that I don't want to hear... It's... Why I was so scared of meeting so many dragons... before I met him, I didn't know how to... not hear thoughts." Starflight frowned. "You mean you heard them... all the time? That would be maddening, hearing every single unheard thought..." Tsunami huffed. "Why didn't he tell us? This seems kind of important." Moon flinched, looking at her talons, until clay spoke up. "Probably because it wasn't his secret to tell. He respected Moon's privacy, and so should we." Moon finally noticed what was missing. "Where is Wither? He left to get you all... and where's Glory?"

Starflight started to look concerned as he turned his gaze towards where the tunnel was. "... They should be back by now... Where are they?" Sunny shivered. "I knew something might have happened. We should go look for them." Tsunami stopped her. "Wait. They might just be talking with each other. Let's not charge head first... We can set up by the tunnel just in case." Sunny nodded. "I'll go ahead." She didn't wait to jump off the platform, Starflight stumbling lightly as he scrambled to follow. "W-Wait up!" He jumped off as well, Tsunami sighing lightly. "Those two..." Clay took Moon's talon in his. "Feeling better? Are you able to stand?" Moon nodded, slowly getting up. "... Thank you, Clay. I... I-I was just so freaked out... I could actually hear the screams..." Clay gave her a reassuring smile. "Hey. If it was a vision, then it means it hasn't happened yet. So, we can stop it from ever happening." Moonwatcher blinked, before smiling. "... Yeah. You're right. We can stop it from happening."

Clay returned the smile. "There you go. it's better to see you smile." Moon blushed a little out of embarrassment as Tsunami whapped him with her tail. "Oi, let's go make sure Sunny and Starflight don't run off." Clay nodded, before they all flew down to the tunnel, landing to find Sunny looking around while Starflight nearly had his nose on the ground. the dirt had been disturbed and laying next to the creek was a boulder that had been split in half. "What happened here?" Starflight look up from his position. "A small struggle. There aren't many tracks, but there's an indent in the ground over here, and then marks like something heavy being dragged along the ground... then there's other talon prints here... wait... does anyone else hear something?" They all got silent, listening, before realizing that there was humming coming from the boulder to the Sand kingdom. They all scrambled to hiding spots, hiding in trees, under bushes, in the creek in Clay's case as Moonwatcher blended into the shadows of a tree. Then, Clay started to recognize the tune, his head poking out of the water as he whispered. "That's the song! The dragonets are coming!" Tsunami listened, starting to recognize the tune she had tortured the guardians with by singing it off key. She nodded, waiting as they watched the tunnel, tense and ready to fight, until a familiar, unwelcome sight greeted them as Deathbringer strolled out of the tunnel, humming the tune.

Tsunami barreled forward. Deathbringer gave an indignant yelp as he was tackled to the ground, pinned by Tsunami as she growled. "You!" He blinked, before giving a smile. "Yes. Me... Is there a problem with that?" She bared her teeth at him. "Where are Wither and Glory!" He didn't seem phased. "I assumed they were with you? I saw them go through only a few minutes ago." Tsunami growled loudly, Clay coming up to frown down at him. "we haven't seen them... are you sure?" Deathbringer nodded. "Yep. Saw they talking just before they flew to the tunnel and walked in... could you get off me now? I'm not going to attack you." Tsunami growled. "As if I'd believe that!" Moon slowly came forward listening to Deathbringer's thoughts. "I wonder where they went if they're not here. This Seawing is a fiery one... Hm, maybe... oh." His thoughts ended as he spotted Moonwatcher. it was the first time an actual shocked expression appeared on his face. "... Well, this is certainly unexpected. Who's this?" Moonwatcher flinched, backing away a little as Clay frowned. "... She's our friend. And we won't let you hurt her."

Starflight was examining the area for if Glory and Wither left tracks, before he finally noticed the glaring problem. "... Guy, do any of you remember a split boulder here? Cause I'm pretty sure this wasn't here when the four of us came out." Starflight went over to it as Tsunami shook her head, looking around it, before his eyes widened, reaching under the boulder and pulling out a piece of thick rope that had been disguised as vines. "... This wasn't here before... But who... The Nightwings!" Tsunami's eyes widened as well. "If the Nightwings put that here... and they've been..." Her expression turned into righteous fury as she glared down at Deathbringer, every ounce of self-control needed to not tear into his neck. "Your tribe kidnapped them!" Deathbringer's expression lost his resting smile, now looking a little worried. "... I had no idea. You must believe me, I only contact them once a month. I had nothing to do with planning this." Starflight looked around, noticing some small indentations on a thick tree and prints in the moist dirt. "I think I know what happened. Wither and Glory came out of the tunnel and were talking. Glory got knocked out from behind, and as Wither was rushing to help her, he triggered a trap that dropped the boulder on him."

Tsunami glared at Deathbringer. "Where did they take them!? If they hurt them, I swear I'll rip your face off!" Deathbringer rose his talons in defense, still pinned to the ground. "They would have been taken to the Nightwing kingdom, but you'll never be able to get in alone. There are too many guards, and too many factors. You'd be caught before you even had the chance..." He gave a smile. "I know you'll probably say no... but let me help. I can help you get Glory and Wither back." Tsunami scoffed. "And why should we even remotely trust you?" He smiled a bit more. "Because just like Wither said... I've been interacting with the world enough to not blindly follow orders anymore... As much as it stings my pride, the Nightwings are not the majestic, wise and mystical tribe they appear to be. Nowadays, they're more like plotting schemers who hide in the shadows." Tsunami rolled her eyes. "About time one of you Nightwings admitted it... No offence to you two, Starflight. Moonwatcher." Deathbringer looked to Moon. "Moonwatcher. Your parents named you well." Moon flinched. "... My mother named me. My father... Doesn't know I exist. I've never even met him." He thought for a moment. "... That makes sense, since I've never seen you in the dragonet caves in the Night kingdom. How did your mother smuggle you out?" Moonwatcher frowned, getting a little annoyed at the prying. "I don't think I need to answer that." He shrugged. "Though, you do know which Nightwing your father is?" She froze, before nodding. "I-I do, but Mother told me that I'd be lucky if I never met him at all."

Tsunami growled at him. "Stop playing games, Nightwing! How do we get our friends back!?" He sighed, looking to the others. Both Clay and Sunny had worried expressions, alongside Moon. Starflight was looking at the drag marks and was getting close to the log on the other side of the waterfall, while Tsunami... Looked as angry as he last saw her. "... We can't barge in head first. This will require subtlety. I can get past the guard at the entrance and distract them enough for one or two of you to slip by, but the Nightwings will know the moment we break them out. I can cause a long enough distraction for whoever comes with me to get back to the tunnel and escape." Tsunami didn't like that, but... It was the only plan they had. "...Alright... Tell us everything that can help us." She hesitantly got off of him, Deathbringer rolling upright. "Will do... and sorry if I scared you with my little act back near the Ice kingdom. Honestly... I wanted to see how the Dragonets of destiny reacted to being in mortal danger. Technically, I was assigned to kill all of you... except the Nightwing, but I wanted to see what warranted me killing you." Tsunami growled. "Just get on with it." Deathbringer chuckled. "Very well. As your Nightwing friend is very close to finding out, the second tunnel that leads to the Night kingdom, is in that tree hollow. now, When we start, there are normally three guards at the entrance..."

Glory groaned as she opened her eyes to find herself in a dimly lit cave with something heavy on her. She stood up, only to find some sort of metal band around her snout, keeping it shut, while a chain was locked around her back right talon. She tried to speak, but it only came out as muffled gibberish. "Oh. You're awake!" She turned her head to see a smaller Rainwing sitting a small distance away, Her scales shimmering with yellow, pink and purple colors, but a little bit of blue snuck through every so often. The younger Rainwing smiled, and Glory had to wince at how much she started talking. "It's good that you're awake. It's SO boring around here. I'm the youngest one here, so they couldn't put a band over my snout, but everyone else does, so I'm the only one who can talk here. It's so boring with nobody to talk to. I can sneak around, but I have this keeping me from trying to fly away." She turned around to show off some sort of contraption hooking her wings, making it impossible to fly without causing serious damage.

Glory looked at the younger Rainwing, her head throbbing from both being knocked out, and having to hear this young Rainwing's rant. She tried to get her attention by waving her talons, pointing at her, before gesturing to the band. The Rainwing shook her head. "Can't get it off. The Nightwings use their spears as a sort of key. Oh, Silly me. I never Introduced myself. I'm Kinkajou! What'd your... Oh, right. You can't talk. Maybe I can guess? Rainbow? Color? Brightness?" She started listing off names non-stop, Glory giving out a muffled groan at the reverse blackhole of a mouth that Kinkajou had, spewing constant noise as Glory's headache drummed at her skull. She thought back to how she got into this, before her eyes widened. Wither. Where was he?" She waved her talons again to get Kinkajou's attention, trying to figure out how to convey her message. Kinkajou stopped listing her hundredth name, looking to her. "Is something wrong?"

Glory pointed at herself, before gesturing with two claws of her talons, looking around as if searching for something. Kinkajou tilted her head. "... Are you hungry?" Glory groaned, before looking around for a better representation, spotting a couple of loose rocks. she pried two out, setting the smaller one down, pointing at it, then at herself, then set down the larger one. and put her talon over her eyes, feigning looking around, then pointing at the larger rock. Kinkajou tilted her head again. "... You're hungry enough to eat rocks?... OH! You had a friend who was taken with you!" Glory gave an exaggerated sigh, before nodding, pointing at the rock again, before turning her talon palm up and gesturing around. Kinkajou gave a sad smile. "You're wondering where your friend is. Well, sorry to say, but you were brought in here alone. Nobody else new here. Though, the guards did say something about holding someone in their palace until someone got back. Can't remember the name." That worried Glory quite a bit. "Anyway, you should probably get ready. They normally give us food, but it's totally gross. The meat is all black, and there are these little worms crawling around in them. It's super disgusting, and several others have gotten sick from eating it."

Glory's mind instantly went back to the sloth they had found, it's skin black and decaying. She shuddered at the thought of having to eat something like that. She Tried to get a better view and saw that the dim light was coming from an entrance into the cave that seemed to lead outside, but Kinkajou shook her head. "No guards are keeping us here, but we can't leave unless we can fly. You'll see what I mean." Glory walked forward, the chain keeping her from flying, but long enough that she could move around, before a horrid sight greeted here. The land was covered in black soot, life seemingly barren of what she could see. She looked up to see a massive volcano with lava rivers running from the mouth down in multiple streams, a river of the bubbling superheated rock was flowing all around down below her, too wide to jump. In the side of the volcano, an immaculately carved palace of dark stone sat, with twisting spires that blended into the darkness of the land. The sky was blanketed by a dark cloud of smoke that poured from the volcano, blocking out any natural light from both the sun and moon, the lava being the only source of light. She shuddered as she realized what had happened. This was the Night kingdom... And it was every bit as horrible as they had heard.

She heard the sound of wingbeats. Kinkajou looking around. "They're coming. I'm gonna go hide. Good luck... whoever you are." She scrambled to another opening in the cave, opposite of the opening she was in, crawling across the wall as the wingbeats drew closer, before three Nightwings landed on the platform. The biggest of them had a very nasty looking burn scar that had destroyed one of his eyes. The others looked normal enough, one with a spear in his talons and armor covering him, while the other didn't wear armor and had a scroll in her talons, jotting down notes. She couldn't help but notice that all of them were admittedly, painfully thin. She was even able to see some of the ribs of the one holding the scroll as she spoke. "This is the newest one we caught, correct? Really, Vengeance. You were under orders not to catch any more to avoid suspicion. We have more than enough already. You probably will be punished once Deathbringer returns." Glory's eyes widened a bit from hearing the Nightwing assassin's name, but glared as she allowed her scales to turn red, all three Nightwings looking surprised. "Oh. This is a new color. We've never seen this from any of the others... I wonder which emotion it means. The scarred one, Vengeance, scoffed. "Just get on with feeding her. I don't want to look at her anymore. Don't do anything stupid, Rainwing."

Glory growled as the guard approached, making him flinch. "... None of them have ever acted angry before... maybe this one is different?" Vengeance scoffed. "She won't try anything. She's a Rainwing, remember?" Glory nearly saw red then and there, but knew she had to bide her time. She kept glaring at the Nightwing guard as he inserted the strangely designed spear tip into the side of the metal band as something black and rotten was dropped in front of her. The remains of a bird that had maggots squirming around in a bite mark. Glory glared at all three of them, before noticing out of the corner of her eye, Blue scales were rushing from the outside entrance towards them fast. She smirked, before unhinging her jaw, two hollow fangs flipping out of the roof of her mouth as black venom shot out of them, deliberately aiming to catch the Nightwing guard at the tips of his wings. The Guard would have dodged if Tsunami hadn't taken the scroll holder by surprise, tackling into her as the Nightwing gave a yelp in surprise. The black liquid hit his wing, and he started to scream, dropping his spear as he doubled over in pain. Clay then flew in at top speed, slamming his full bodyweight into Vengeance, the Nightwing roaring as he was tackled and slammed into the cave wall. The thud caused a stalactite to crack, before dropping. Vengeance looked up, making the mistake just in time for the stalactite, which would have been fairly harmless against his scales, to pierce into his good eye. He screamed in pain as he went blind, before reared back and slammed Vengeance's head down, knocking the dragon out while Tsunami did the same with the scroll holder. Glory sighed, giving a weary smile. "I am so glad to see you two. How did you find me?"

Tsunami growled grumpily as Clay scratched the back of his head. "We... Kind of had help." It was then that Deathbringer flew in, smiling. "Willing to take that drink now?" Glory glared, growling loudly. "Why in the moons are you here?" He tilted his head. "To rescue you of course." Kinkajou then suddenly appeared in the middle of them. "Oh! You're escaping. Can I come too?" Deathbringer blinked. "How did you?... Where did you?..." Glory couldn't help but laugh a little, but looked to the others. "Wither... He's in the palace." Deathbringer grimaced. "Ah... This is one thing, but the palace... I'm not able to get in there without a lot of preparation. Let alone get him out. Even now, our time is short. We need to go soon before the others figure out something's going on." Glory looked to the others. "We... We can't just leave him and the other Rainwings." Clay shook his head. "We aren't abandoning them, Glory. We will come back, but we aren't enough. We need to do something drastic. Something that will give us the advantage we need." He looked meaningfully at Glory. "I've had this idea in my head for a while, but Glory... We need to go back to the rainforest... and you need to usher the challenge to become the queen of the Rainwings. They're the only ones who can help us rescue all the others and Wither." Glory blinked, looking to Clay. "... I... I'm not even sure I'd make a good queen." Clay smiled at her. "You would be a great queen, Glory. You've already done more to find the missing Rainwings than the current ones. And you've always tried to do things where everyone is treated fairly."

Glory frowned as Deathbringer took the dropped spear, cracking it over the head of the last downed Nightwing to knock him unconscious, before going to the band on the back of Glory's leg, inserting the odd shaped head into a lock, twisting to unlock the chain. Clay took the spear from him, finding a similar lock in the mesh holding Kinkajou's wings together, Kinkajou sighing in relief. "Ah. That feels much better! I'm Kinkajou." Clay nodded, smiling. "Nice to meet you... I'd introduce myself, but I think we need to start flying. I hear wing beats." Glory nodded with a worried expression as Deathbringer smiled to them. "Go on ahead. I'll buy you all a few minutes." Glory hesitated. "He must be sacrificing a lot by doing this... or he's about to betray us... Either way, we don't have much choice... Forgive me, Wither. We'll save you. I promise." She nodded, before She, Tsunami and Clay helped Kinkajou up to the entrance, taking to the grey sky. Clay and Tsunami led the way, Glory finally seeing the murky, soot filled sea washing up on lifeless beaches, all of them going at large stone spike jutting out of the water, Clay and Tsunami circling to a cave in its side, finding three Nightwing guards that were caught by surprise.

Clay slammed into the first guard head on, sending him crashing into the fire pit between the guard as the guard roared in pain as he was burned. Tsunami grappled with the second one, grabbing him by his talons as she tried to wrench his spear away from him, while Glory charged the third, spitting some of her venom at him. He managed to dodge, but it was enough distraction for Glory to use her tail to knock his talons out from under him, causing his to fall on his side as she grabbed a large rock, clanging it against his metal helmet as hard as she could. The blow did little damage, a small dent forming in the metal, but the loud clang make the Nightwing guard roar as he tried to claw at his ears from the loud noise. Clay wasn't as big as his opponent, but he had the advantage that he wasn't half starved like the Nightwing guards. In fact, Glory finally realized that all three of their enemies were painfully thin. Tsunami finally managed to rip the spear away, swinging it in a wide arc to catch her opponent's side, the strange tip biting into his scales, drawing blood. He roared in pain as he griped the spear, trying to push her away, the tip of the spear taking a chunk of flesh with it. Tsunami didn't have time to be sick, spinning the spear around to use the blunt end. She remembered Wither's move in the Seawing palace, swinging in an upward arch to catch the Nightwing in the chin with a sickening crack, the Guard going down hard.

Clay was having a rougher time, but he was beating out his opponent in strength. The Nightwing tried to breath fire, tears falling from his eyes from the burning coals under him, but the flames seemed to have no effect on the Mudwing, his scales just glowing lightly from the flames. Clay grabbed him, before shoving him off the fire and into the far wall, slumping against the surface as his starvation caught up to him. The guard wheezed, trying to get back up, but he just didn't have the strength. Clay panted, before moving to help Glory, grabbing the last Nightwing guard to pin him down. "Go!" He slammed his tail into the guard's back, before following the others as they all ran as fast as they could through the tunnel, bursting back out into the Rainforest. Sunny, Moonwatcher and Starflight were there, all looking relieved as they all flew a small distance from the tunnel just in case. Sunny ran up to hug Glory. "I'm so glad you're alright!" She smiled brightly, before frowning. "... Where's Wither?" Glory shook her head. "We couldn't get him... They're keeping him in the Palace.

Wither groaned as he finally regained consciousness, shaking his head slowly as he got to his talons, feeling chains on all four of his limbs, huffing. "Great. Just fantastic." He shook them a little, testing how sturdy they were until he heard talons scraping on hard rock, seeing two Nightwings approaching. One of them had a very odd helmet on his head, while the other, held a large contrast. The second Nightwing was big, but still smaller than Wither with the bracelet on, but he was... what was the best way to put it... Better fed. Unlike the other, Wither wasn't able to see his lower ribs through his chest. A thick metal band kept his snout closed, causing him to huff in annoyance, but he was getting very nervous. Then, the Nightwing with the helmet started talking. "It really is a scientific wonder. A dragon we've never seen in our recorded history! This could be a major breakthrough! We'll have to test him immediately." The other one sneered. "No. This one is a special case... We need to use him for what Blister has planned." Wither glared at the second dragon, the Nightwing scoffing lightly. "Afraid you can't do anything, Wither. Yes, I know your name. You made Blister quite angry with you at the Seawing palace." The arrogance nearly poured off of the Nightwing as Wither stayed silent.

He scoffed. "Nothing to say? Oh, right. You're bound and helpless against us. Cooperate, and we might even let those five worms you've grown attached to live." Wither stayed silent for a long moment, before thrusting his talon forward. A loud crack sounded from behind him, his talons coming within an inch of the Nightwing's snout, causing him to recoil out of surprise. The metal spike, which had been hammered into the rock wall to chain Wither down, had been almost completely ripped out of the stone. The Nightwing growled. "Learn your place, worm. I can have you killed, and only Blister would pay." Wither lowered his talon, locking his glare onto him. The other Nightwing looked at him nervously. "P-Perhaps we shouldn't provoke him?"

The other Nightwing scoffed. "No. He will be disciplined eventually. For now, prepare the bodies." He smirked as the other Nightwing rushed off. "You're going to be a great asset to this war for us, Wither... Oh. I never introduced myself. I am Morrowseer." Wither's eyes widened, not out of shock that he was facing the famed prophet but because of what was missing. He searched Morrowseer's face with his eyes, looking for the telltale signs, but there were none. No tear shaped silver scales. No symbols. No sign. His heart began to freeze with fearful dread. Morrowseer wasn't a mind-reader. He wasn't a prophet. He was a false prophet.

The dragonet prophecy was a lie.

Whew. That was quite a bit, and I'm sorry if the battle descriptions aren't all that good. I hope to do more action scenes, but I felt that it went well enough. So, Wither is captured, and a dark truth is revealed. For anyone who hasn't read, this might be a major spoiler since this reveal comes about a book early, but I felt it was relevant for crafting more of the story for the reveal to come out. There are some ideas that I'm juggling around, and I hope to continue making this story be enjoyable for all you guys who read it. Again, if anyone has a recommendation for where to find a commissioner for a picture of Wither, I'd be more than happy to take suggestions. But, for now, thank you for reading, leave a review if you'd like, and I'll see you all next time.
